< Matthew 23 >
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes, and to His disciples,
Mbe niwo Yesu naika na liijo na bhweigisibhwa bhae naika ati,
2 saying, “On the seat of Moses sat down the scribes and the Pharisees;
“Abhandiki na Bhafalisayo bheyanjie echitebhe cha Musa.
3 all, then, as much as they may say to you to observe, observe and do, but according to their works do not do, for they say, and do not do;
Mbe emisango jone jinu abhabhabhwila mujikole nokujigwata. Nawe mutakukolaga lwakutyo abhene abhakola, kubha okwaika abhaika nawe bhatakukola.
4 for they bind together burdens [too] heavy and grievous to bear, and lay [them] on the shoulders of men, but with their finger they will not move them.
Nchimali, abhobhoya migugu misito jinu jitakwitwikwa, nibhajitwikya abhanu kumabhega. Nawe abhene bhatakwenda kujinamusha na Chala chebhwe.
5 And all their works they do to be seen by men, and they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the fringes of their garments,
Ebhikolwa bhwebhye bhyona, abhabhikola abhanu bhabhilole. Okubha abhagaliya amasandikwa gebhwe no kwongesha obhunene bhwe bhifwalo.
6 they also cherish the first couches at the banquets, and the first seats in the synagogues,
Ka abhenda obhwinyanjo bhwa imbele kumalya na kubhitebhe bhye chibhalo mu mekofyanyisho.
7 and the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
No kukesibhwa mumagulilo, no kutogwa na bhanu ati “Labhi” (bheigisha).
8 And you may not be called Rabbi, for one is your teacher—the Christ, and you are all brothers;
Nawe emwe mutatogwa “bheigisha”. Okubha omwiigisha wemwe ni umwi. Na nemwe bhona muli bhanda imwi.
9 and you may not call [any] your father on the earth, for one is your Father, who is in the heavens,
Mwasiga kumutoga munu wona wona ku chalo ati esomwana, okubha munage esomwana umwila, niwe ali mulwile.
10 nor may you be called teachers, for one is your teacher—the Christ.
Nawe mwasiga kutogwa “Bheigisha” Okubha munage Mwiigisha umwila niwe Kristo.
11 And the greater of you will be your servant,
Tali unu ali mukulu agati yemwe abhe mukosi wemwe.
12 and whoever will exalt himself will be humbled, and whoever will humble himself will be exalted.
Wona wona unu kekusha alikeibhwa. Na unu wona kekeya alikisibhwa.
13 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you permit those going in to enter.
Nawe jilibhabhona abhandiki na Mafarisayo, bhalulimi omubhegalila abhanu Obhukama bhwa mulwile. Ka nemwe mutakwingila, Ka mutakubhekilisha abho abhengila abhengila okukola kutyo.
14 [[Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you eat up the houses of the widows, and for a pretense make long prayers, because of this you will receive more abundant judgment.]]
(Komelesha: olugobho olwa 14 lutakubhonekana mu maandiko ga kisi aga kala. Agandi aga maandiko jongesishe olungobho lunu 12. olugobho lwa 14 “jilibhabhona abhandiki na bhafarisayo bhalulimi! Okubha omubhamila abhatumbagasi”).
15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go around the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and whenever it may happen—you make him a son of Gehenna twofold more than yourselves. (Geenna )
Nawe jilibhabhona abhandiki na bhafarisayo, bhalulimi! omwambuka ku chalo na munyanja kukinga okumuchusha omunu umwi ekilishe ganu omwiigisha, akamala okubha lwemwe nimumukola lwa kabhili kubha mwana wa mumulilo gunyatasima lwemwe abhene kutyo muli. (Geenna )
16 Woe to you, blind guides, who are saying, Whoever may swear by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gold of the temple—is debtor!
Jilibhabhona emwe abhatangasha bhaofu, bhanu omwaika ati, omunu wona unu alalailaga mu iyekalu, Iyekalu chitali chinu. Nawe unu alalailaga ku ijaabhu ya Muyekalu abhoyelwe na libhaja lyaye.
17 Fools and blind! For which [is] greater, the gold, or the temple that is sanctifying the gold?
Emwe bhaofu na abhatamu-tamu okubha echikulu ni chiya, Ijaabhu Angu Iyekalu linu liteyemo echogo ijaabhu ku Nyamuanga?
18 And, Whoever may swear by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gift that is on it—is debtor!
Lindi, wone wone unu kalailila kuchoto Cho okugabhilila chitali chinu, nawe unu kalailila echiyanwa chinu chili ingulu yaye, abhoyelwe na libhanja lyaye.
19 Fools and blind! For which [is] greater, the gift, or the altar that is sanctifying the gift?
Emwe abhanu abhaofu, echikulu ni chiya kuchindi, echiyanwa tele echoto echo echitao okwesha ebhiyanwa bhinu ebhisosibhwa ku Nyamuanga?
20 He therefore who swore by the altar, swears by it, and by all things on it;
Nawe unu kalaila ku choto kalaila kwicho na kubhinu bhyone bhinu bhili ingulu yacho.
21 and he who swore by the temple, swears by it, and by Him who is dwelling in it;
Na unu kalaila ku Iyekalu, kalaila kwilyo na kumwene unu aikayemo.
22 and he who swore by Heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by Him who is sitting on it.
Na unu kalaila kulwile, kalaila ku chitebhe cho bhutelo echa Nyamuanga no mwene unu enyanjile ingulu yacho.
23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you give tithe of the mint, and the dill, and the cumin, and neglected the weightier things of the Law—judgment, and kindness, and faith; these it was necessary to do, and those not to neglect.
Jilibhabhona, emwe abhandiki na abhafarisayo, bhalulimi! Kulwo kubha omusosha omugabho gwa likumi gwe bhilungo, Mnaanaa no muchicha, nawe mwasigile emisango emikulu ejebhilagilo, ejo kulema okwitililanya, nechigongo no kwikilisha. Nawe bhinu bhiile okubhikola na mutasiga agandi mutagakumisishe.
24 Blind guides! Who are straining out the gnat, and are swallowing the camel.
Emwe bhatangasha bhaofu, omusekesha akasami nawe nimumila ingamia!
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you make clean the outside of the cup and the plate, and within they are full of robbery and self-indulgence.
Jilibhabhona, emwe abhandiki na bhafarisayo, bhalulimi! okubha omwosha anja ye bhikombe na anja ya isaani, kenu Munda bhijuye obhusakusi no kulema okwibhalilila.
26 Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside of them may also become clean.
Emwe Mafarisayo abhaofu tangata okwamba mwoshe Munda ye bhikombe na Munda isaani koleleki anja one bhibhe bhelu.
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are like to whitewashed graves, which outwardly indeed appear beautiful, and within are full of bones of dead men, and of all uncleanness;
Jilibhabhona abhene, abhandik na abhfarisayo, bhalumi! okubha omususana ne ebhitulo bhinu bhipambilwe ichokaa, anja yabyo ebhibhonekana bhikondele nawe, Munda bhijuye amawa gabhafuye bhuli chinu chili chijabhi.
28 so also you outwardly indeed appear to men righteous, and within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Niko kutyo, emwe one ingulu omubhonekana ati muli bhalengelesi ku bhanu, nawe Munda mwijuye olulimi no bhwikoti. jibhabhona emwe, abhandiki na Bhafarisayo,
29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the graves of the prophets, and adorn the tombs of the righteous,
bhalulimi! okubha omumbaka ebhitulo bhya bhalangi nimuchuma ebhitulo bhya bhalengelesi.
30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Emwe omwaika ati, chibha chikaye musiku jabhajaji weswe, chitakabhee chisangie amwi nabho okwitila jisagama ja Bhalangi.
31 So that you testify to yourselves that you are sons of them who murdered the prophets;
Nikwo kutyo omwibhula abhene ati emwe mulibhana bhabhanu bhetilwe abhalangi.
32 and you fill up the measure of your fathers.
Mbe emwe one omwikuisha okwijusha idengo inu iile echikayo chabhesomwana.
33 Serpents! Brood of vipers! How may you escape from the judgment of Gehenna? (Geenna )
Emwe jinjoka, abhana bhajimili, muliluka kutiki intambala ya indamu ya omulilo gunu gutalisima? (Geenna )
34 Because of this, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes, and of them you will kill and crucify, and of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and will pursue from city to city,
Lola nikwo, enikola, nibatumila Abhalangi, abhanu abho bhwengeso na bhandiki. abhandi mwabho omubheta no kubhabhamba abhandi mwabho mulibhabhuma Munda ya mekofyanyisho gemwe no kubhabhamba okusoka mumusi gumwi okuja mugundi.
35 that on you may come all the righteous blood being poured out on the earth from the blood of Abel the righteous, to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar:
Chinu chililubhila ingulu yemwe mwijilwe amanyinga gone agabhalengelesi ganu getikile kuchalo, okwambila isagama ya Abeli omulengilesi okukinga kusangama ya Jakalia omwana wa Balanki a unu mwetie agati yaiyekalu nechoto chokugabhilila.
36 truly I say to you, all these things will come on this generation.
Nichimali enibhabhwila ati amagambo ganu gone agalubhona olwibhulo lunu.
37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that are killing the prophets, and stoning those sent to you, how often I willed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her own chickens under the wings, and you did not will.
Yelusalemu, Yelusalemu, awe unu owitinga Abhalangi no kubhalasa na mabhui bhalia abhatumwa kwawe! nikwia kalinga enibhakumanya abhana bhao amwi lwain'goko eikumanya obhana Koko emwalo ya mabhabha gayo, nawe atekilisishe!
38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate;
Lola, inyumba yao yasigala elugu.
39 for I say to you, you may not see Me from now on, until you may say, Blessed [is] He who is coming in the Name of the LORD.”
Lola enikubhwila ati, okwambila oli nokugendelela utalisubha kundola okukinga lunu ulyaika, analibhando unu alija kwisina lya Latabhugenyi.”
