< Matthew 22 >

1 And Jesus answering, again spoke to them in allegories, saying,
U Yesu akavavuula kange avavaha va vatekesi na vagoyo va Vayahudi ifihwanikisio, ifingi akati,
2 “The kingdom of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made wedding feasts for his son,
“Uvutwa vwa kukyanya vuhwaniine nu ntwa jumonga juno alyaling'hanisie uvutolani vwa mwanaake.
3 and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the wedding feasts, and they were not willing to come.
Untwa jula akavasung'ha avavombi vaake kukuvakemeela vano alyakutile kuuti viise kuvutolani, neke aveene vakakaana kuluta.
4 Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Behold, I prepared my early meal, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come to the wedding feasts;
Untwa juula pe akasung'ha kange avavombi avange akavavuula akati,”Lutagha ku vano nikakutile uvutolani muvavuule kuuti, Lolagha, Niling'hanisie ifiinu fyoni ifya vutolani. Nibudile ing'hambako ni ndama sango sino sineniipe fiijo. Mwise kuvutolani.”
5 and they, having disregarded [it], went away, one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
Neke aveene navakavikila mwojo. vakaluta ku mbombo saave, jumonga akaluta kumughunga ghwake, ujunge akaluta kughusia ifiinu fyake.
6 and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, mistreated and slew [them].
Avange vano valyakemelilue vakavakola avavombi vala vakavatova kyongo na kukuvabuda.
7 And the king having heard, was angry, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
Untwa jula ye apulike sino sivombike ku vavombi vaake akakalala, Akasung'ha avasikali vaake kuluta kukuvabuda avabudi vala na kunyaanya lwoni ilikaaja lyave.
8 then he says to his servants, The wedding feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
Pe akavavuula avavombi vaake akati,”Uluo lwa vutolani luling'hanisivue, neke vano nikakutile uvutolani navanoghiile kange kukwisa ku vutolani.
9 be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as you may find, call to the wedding feasts.
Lino lutagha mu mapuulo, muvavuule avaanhu vooni vano mutang'hana navo kuuti viise ku vutolani.”
10 And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, gathered all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
Avavombi vala vakaluta mu masevo na mu mapuulo vakavakemeela na kukuvaleeta avaanhu vooni vano vakava vitan'ghana, navo avanofu na vahosi, Avaanhu vinga vakiisa vakamema mu nyumba ija vutolani.
11 And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with wedding clothes,
Neke untwa jula ye ikwingila mu nyumba jila kuuti, alole avahesia, vaake akamwagha umuunhu jumonga naafwalile umwenda ghuno ghunoghile mu vutolani!
12 and he says to him, Friend, how did you come in here, not having wedding clothes? And he was speechless.
Akamposia akati,'Nyalukolo, lwandani ghwingile muno kisila kuuva nu mwenda ghuno ghunoghiile mu vutolani? Umuunhu jula akakunua ikya kujova.
13 Then the king said to the servants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth into the outer darkness, there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;
Pepeno untwa jula akavavuula avavombi vaake akati,”Nkunge umuunhu uju amaghulu na mavoko muntaaghe kunji ku ng'hiisi, ukuo ililagha na kugwegwenula amiino vwimila uvuvafi uvukome vuno alinavwo.
14 for many are called, and few chosen.”
U Yesu pe akavuula akati, Vano vakemelilue, nu Nguluve kukwingila mu vutwa vwake vinga neke avasalulua vadebe.”
15 Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare Him in words,
Pambele a Vafalisayi vakavuuka pala vakaluta kupuling'hana vwimila ikiteghe ikya kunkola u Yesu mu masio ghaake.
16 and they send to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we have known that You are true, and the way of God in truth You teach, and You are not caring for anyone, for You do not look to the face of men;
Pe akasung'ha kwa Yesu avavulanisivua vaave palikimobna vavingiliili va ntwa u Herode. Avavulanisivua vala vakamposia vakati,”Ghwe Mb'ulanisi, tukagwile kuuti uve ulimuunhu ghwa kyang'haani ghuvulanisia mu vwakyang'haani sino ilonda u Nguluve. Kange naghukwoghopa nambe muunhu vwimila uvuvaha vwaake.
17 tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?”
Lino tuvuule, ghuvona ndaani indaghilo sa Moose sikwitikisia kusonga isongo kwa Kaisali?”
18 And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, “Why do you tempt Me, hypocrites?
Neke u Yesu akakagula amasaghe ghaave amaviivi akavamula akati,”Mwe vakedusi umue kiki mukungela?
19 Show Me the tribute-coin.” And they brought to Him a denarius;
Muhufie ihela jino mwa musonga isongo.”Vakamuletela idinali jimo.
20 and He says to them, “Whose [is] this image and the inscription?”
Akavaposia akati,”Ikihwani nu vulembe fino fili mu hela iji fyani?”
21 They say to Him, “Caesar’s”; then He says to them, “Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”;
Vakamwamula vakati,”Fya Kaisali.”Pepano u Yesu akavavuula akati,”Ifya Kaisali mumpelaghe uKaisali ifya Nguluve mumpelaghe u Nguluve.”
22 and having heard they wondered, and having left Him they went away.
Ye vapulike ulwamulo lwa Yesu vakadegha kyongo. Vakamuleka pala vakavuuka viluta.
23 In that day there came near to Him Sadducees who are saying there is not a resurrection, and they questioned Him, saying,
Ikighono kilakila aVasadukayi vamonga vakaluta kwa Yesu, A Vasadukayi kye kipugha mu lwitiko lwa Kiyahudi vano viiti nakwelule ulusyukolwa vafue. Vakamposia vakati,
24 “Teacher, Moses said if anyone may die having no children, his brother will marry his wife, and will raise up seed to his brother.
Ghwe M'bulanisi, u Moose alyalembile ululaghilo kuuti nave umuunhu afwile kisila mwana, unnine anoghile kuhaala umfwile jula kuuti ampapile avaana anyakusila.
25 And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married died, and having no seed, he left his wife to his brother;
Lino kwevalyale avanamuunhu lekelalubale. Ughwa kwanda akatoola un'dala akafua kisila kuleka mwana. Ughwa vuvili akamhaala umfwile jula.
26 in like manner also the second, and the third, to the seventh,
Ghwope akafua kisila kuleka mwana Ghwoope ughwa vutatu lukavombeka vulevule kuhanga kufika ughwa lekela lubale.
27 and last of all the woman also died;
Pambele, ghwoope un'dala umfwile jula akafua.
28 therefore in the resurrection, of which of the seven will she be wife—for all had her?”
Lino ikighono ikya kusyuka avaanhu vooni umfwile jula iliiva n'dala ghwani mu vala lekelalubale? Ulwakuuva vooni valyantolile.”
29 And Jesus answering said to them, “You go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;
U Yesu akamula akati,”Musova, ulwakuva namukagwile aMalembe aMimike nambe ingufu sa Nguluve.
30 for in the resurrection they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in Heaven.
Ulwakuuva avafue valaava visyuka, nakwekulaava kutoola nambe kutolua. viliiva ndavule avanyamola ava kukyanya.
31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
Neke vwimila kusyuka avafue namwimbile mu Malembe aMimike sino u Nguluve alyavavulile avakuulu viinu kuuti,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.”
Une neene Nguluve ghwa Abulahamu, Nguluve ghwa Isaka, Nguluve ghwa Yakovo? u Yesu akavavuula kange kuuti u Nguluve na Nguluve ghwa vafue looli Nguluve ghwa vuumi.”
33 And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching;
Avaanhu mu mapugha ghala ye apulike imbulanisio saake vakadegha kyongo.
34 and the Pharisees, having heard that He silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together to Him;
A Vafalisayi ye vapulike kuuti u Yesu avamwile a Vasadukayi, kuhanga vakunilue ikya kujova vakakong'haana palikimo vakaluta kwa Yesu.
35 and one of them, a lawyer, questioned, tempting Him, and saying,
Um'bulanisi jumonga ughwa ndaghilo sa Moose mu Vafalisayi vala akamughela u Yesu akamposia akati.
36 “Teacher, which [is] the great command in the Law?”
“Ghwe M'bulanisi ululaghilo luliku luno luvaha kukila indaghilo sooni?”
37 And Jesus said to him, “You will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your understanding—
U Yesu akamwamula akati,”Umughanaghe u Mutwa u Nguluve ghwako nu mwojo ghwako, ghwoni ni ngufu saako sooni nu luhala lwako lwoni.
38 this is a first and great command;
Ulu lwe lulaghilo uluvaha kange lwe lwa kwanda.
39 and the second [is] like to it: You will love your neighbor as yourself;
Ululaghilo ulwa vuvili luno luling'hiine nu lwa kwanda lwe ulu, Umughanaghe unnino ndavule ghukughana juuve.
40 on these—the two commands—all the Law and the Prophets hang.”
Indaghilo sooni isa Moose ni mbulanisio isa vavili sihuma mu ndaghilo isi ivili.”
41 And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus questioned them,
A Vafalisayi ye vajiighe vakong'hanile palikimo u Yesu akavaposia akati.
42 saying, “What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is He Son?” They say to Him, “Of David.”
Asi, mwiti kiki vwimila u Kilisite? Mwiti mwana ghwani? Vakamwamula vakati,”Mwana ghwa David.”
43 He says to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,
U Yesu akavaposia akati,”Nave fye lulivuo lwandani u Davidi ye alongosivue nu Mhepo ghwaNguluve ikuntambula u Kilisite Mutwa Pano iiti,
44 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Until I may make Your enemies Your footstool?
'U Mutwa u Nguluve alyam'bulile u Mutwa ghwango,”Uuve nubvutavulilua palikimo nune kuhanga nikutange avaleme avalugu vaako uvateme.”'?”
45 If then David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?”
Lino nave u Davidi ikuntambula u Kilisite iiti, “Mutwa,”lwandani uKilisite iiva mwanaake?”
46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any dare question Him from that day [on].
Nakwealyale umuunhu juno akaghela kukwamula ilisio, kuhuma unsiki ughuo nalyangiile kukumposia kange.
