< Matthew 22 >

1 And Jesus answering, again spoke to them in allegories, saying,
Yesu walamba kayi mumikoshanyo ingi. Walambeti,
2 “The kingdom of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made wedding feasts for his son,
“Bwami bwakwilu bwakoshaneti, Mwami walabambila mwanendi malyalya a bwinga.”
3 and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the wedding feasts, and they were not willing to come.
Walatuma basebenshi bakendi kuya kutamba bantu ku malyalya abwinga kwambeti bese, nsombi nabo balakana.
4 Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Behold, I prepared my early meal, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come to the wedding feasts;
Walatuma kayi nabambi, ne kubambileti, “Yani mwambile bonse basa balatambwa, kwambeti cakulya cilabambwa, ndashini ng'ombe, ne bombe bansuka, byonse bilabambwa, kamwisani ku malyalya abwinga.”
5 and they, having disregarded [it], went away, one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
Nomba abo balatambwa baliya kuyako sobwe, bonse balaya kuncito shabo. Naumbi walaya kumabala kwakendi, naumbi walaya kumakwebo akendi.
6 and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, mistreated and slew [them].
Nabambi balekata basebenshi basa, balabapensha ne kubashina.
7 And the king having heard, was angry, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
Mwami walakalala kwine, walatuma bashilikali bakendi kuya kubashina basa bantu balikushina banabo, ne kubatentela munshi wabo.
8 then he says to his servants, The wedding feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
Panyuma pakendi walakuwa basebenshi bakendi ne kubambileti, malyalya abwinga alabambwa, nomba balatambwa basa nkabanga belela.
9 be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as you may find, call to the wedding feasts.
“Anu lino kamuyani mu mampambanya a nshila, mwenga mutambe balibonse mbweshi mucane, bese kumalyalya abwinga kuno.”
10 And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, gathered all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
Cakubinga basebenshi basa balaya munshila kuya kutamba balibonse mbobalikucana, baipa ne baina, ng'anda yalesula ne bantu.
11 And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with wedding clothes,
Mwami mpwalengila mung'andomo kuya kubona bantu balatambwa, walabonamo muntu naumbi wabula kufwala cakufwala capabwinga.
12 and he says to him, Friend, how did you come in here, not having wedding clothes? And he was speechless.
Walamwipusheti, “Obe ndo, ulengili aconi muno wabula cakufwala capabwinga?” Nendi walabula cakukumbula.
13 Then the king said to the servants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth into the outer darkness, there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;
Mwami walambila basebenshi bakendi, “Musungeni kumyendo ne kumakasa, mu muwale kunsa mu mushinshe. Kopeloko nkweshi akalilenga ne kukokota meno.”
14 for many are called, and few chosen.”
Pakupwililisha Yesu walambeti, “Ee, batambwa nibangi, nsombi, balasalwa nibang'ana.”
15 Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare Him in words,
Pacindi nacimbi, Bafalisi balapangana sha kumutapa mukanwa Yesu pakumwipusha mipusho.
16 and they send to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we have known that You are true, and the way of God in truth You teach, and You are not caring for anyone, for You do not look to the face of men;
Balatuma beshikwiya babo nabambi, ne bamucipani candale ca Helode kuya kuli Yesu, balambeti, “Bashikwiyisha, tucishi kwambeti mukute kwamba cakubinga, mukute kwiyisha nshila ya Lesa mwakubinga, kayi nkamukute kutinapo muntu sobwe, nkamukute kuboneti uyu niyani.”
17 tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?”
Neco tulesa kwambeti mutwambileko ncomulayeyenga. “Sena Milawo ya Lesa yasuminisha kusonka musonko kuli Mwami waku Loma, nambi sobwe?”
18 And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, “Why do you tempt Me, hypocrites?
Nomba Yesu pakwishiba miyeyo yabo yaipa, nendi walabepusheti, “Inga mulanjelekeshelenga cani, amwe bantu bandemi shibili?
19 Show Me the tribute-coin.” And they brought to Him a denarius;
Kamumboneshako lyali lyamusonko, nabo balamutambika lyali.”
20 and He says to them, “Whose [is] this image and the inscription?”
Popelapo walabepusheti, “Inga cinso ne lina ili lyalembwapa nilyabani?”
21 They say to Him, “Caesar’s”; then He says to them, “Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”;
Balo balamukumbuleti, “byonse bilipo nibya Mwami waku Loma.” Neco nendi Yesu walabambileti, “Anu mupeni Mwami waku Loma bintu byakendi, Mupeni Lesa bintu byakendi.”
22 and having heard they wondered, and having left Him they went away.
Bantu abo mpolabanyumfweco balapwilwa mano, balafumapo ne kumushiya.
23 In that day there came near to Him Sadducees who are saying there is not a resurrection, and they questioned Him, saying,
Pa busuba bopelobo nabambi Basaduki abo bakute kushometi bafwa nteti bakapunduke, balesa kuli Yesu, ne kumwipusheti,
24 “Teacher, Moses said if anyone may die having no children, his brother will marry his wife, and will raise up seed to his brother.
“Bashikwiyisha, Mose walambeti, ‘Na mutuloba ufwa kwakubula kusemapo bana, mukwabo welela kumupyana mukalubingi ne kusemenamo bana beti bakabengeti banabendi usa mukwabo walafwa.’
25 And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married died, and having no seed, he left his wife to his brother;
Lino kucomwetu kwalikuba bantu basanu ne babili pabukwabo. Wakutanguna waleba mukashi, walafwa wabulapo mwana, mukashi usa walapyanwa ne mukwabo.
26 in like manner also the second, and the third, to the seventh,
Calenshika cimo cimo kuli wacibili walamupyana, kayi wacitatu walamupyana, mpaka kuli wacisanu ne cibili.
27 and last of all the woman also died;
Pamapwililisho pakendi nendi mutukashi usa walafwa.
28 therefore in the resurrection, of which of the seven will she be wife—for all had her?”
Neco twambile inga lino pabusuba bwakupunduka bantu kubafu, mutukashi uyu, nakabe mukashi wabani, kakuli batuloba bonse basanu ne babili pabukwabo balamwebapo?”
29 And Jesus answering said to them, “You go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;
Yesu walabakumbuleti, “Mwalubila, pakwinga nkamwayishi Mabala nambi ngofu sha Lesa.
30 for in the resurrection they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in Heaven.
Pakwinga bantu beti bakapunduke kubafu, nteti bakebenga nambi kwebwa sobwe, bonse nibakabengeti bangelo bakwilu.
31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
Nomba cakwambeti bantu nibakapunduke kubafu, sena muliya kubelengapo Lesa ncalamwambila amwe, mpwalambeti,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.”
‘Ame njame Lesa wa Abulahamu, Lesa wa Isake, Lesa wa Yakobo.’ Anu uko ekwambeti, ni Lesa wa bantu bayumi, nteshi wa bantu bafwa sobwe.”
33 And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching;
Bantu bangi balikubapo mpobalanyumfweco balakankamana ne kwiyisha kwakendi.
34 and the Pharisees, having heard that He silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together to Him;
Bafalisi, mpobalanyumfweti Yesu, labatoteke Basaduki, balabungana pamo.
35 and one of them, a lawyer, questioned, tempting Him, and saying,
Umo nkalakata shikwiyisha milawo ya Mose, walelekesha kayi kumutapa Yesu mukanwa pakumwipusheti,
36 “Teacher, which [is] the great command in the Law?”
“Bashikwiyisha, pa Milawo yonse ya Lesa, unenepo nupeyo?”
37 And Jesus said to him, “You will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your understanding—
Nendi Yesu walamukumbuleti, “Suna Mwami Lesa wakobe ne moyo wakobe wonse, ne buyumi bwakobe bonse, ne mano akobe onse.”
38 this is a first and great command;
Uwu emulawo unene kayi emulawo wakutanguna.
39 and the second [is] like to it: You will love your neighbor as yourself;
Mulawo watubili niwa kwambeti, “Kosuna munobe mbuli ncolisuni omwine.
40 on these—the two commands—all the Law and the Prophets hang.”
Milawo yonse ya Mose, ne biyisho byonse mbyobalikwiyisha bashinshimi byona pa Milawo ibili iyi.”
41 And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus questioned them,
Mpobalabungana pamo Bafalisi, Yesu walabepusha mwipusho.
42 saying, “What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is He Son?” They say to Him, “Of David.”
Walambeti, “mulayeyenga cani sha Mupulushi Walaiwa? Mulayeyengeti ni Mwana wabani?” Balo balambeti, “Ni mwanendi Dafeti,”
43 He says to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,
Yesu walabepusheti, “Inga ni pacebo cini Dafeti mwine pakutanguninwa ne Mushimu Uswepa, walamukuwa Mupulushi Walaiwa useti, Mwami wakendi? Walambeti,
44 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Until I may make Your enemies Your footstool?
“Mwami Lesa, walambila Mwami wakameti, Ikala kucikasa cakame cakululyo, mpaka nkabike balwani bakobe, kuba cakulyatapo myendo yakobe.
45 If then David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?”
“Na Dafeti mwine walamukuwa Mupulushi Walaiwa eti, ‘Lesa wakame,’ Inga ngobeconi mwanendi?”
46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any dare question Him from that day [on].
Paliya nabaumo walelekesha kukumbulapo maswi. Kufuma busuba ubo, paliya muntu walaliyuminishako moyo kwambeti, amwipusheko naba mwipusho umo.
