Matthew 22
1 And Jesus answering, again spoke to them in allegories, saying,
१इस पर यीशु फिर उनसे दृष्टान्तों में कहने लगा।
2 “The kingdom of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made wedding feasts for his son,
२“स्वर्ग का राज्य उस राजा के समान है, जिसने अपने पुत्र का विवाह किया।
3 and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the wedding feasts, and they were not willing to come.
३और उसने अपने दासों को भेजा, कि निमंत्रित लोगों को विवाह के भोज में बुलाएँ; परन्तु उन्होंने आना न चाहा।
4 Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Behold, I prepared my early meal, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come to the wedding feasts;
४फिर उसने और दासों को यह कहकर भेजा, ‘निमंत्रित लोगों से कहो: देखो, मैं भोज तैयार कर चुका हूँ, और मेरे बैल और पले हुए पशु मारे गए हैं और सब कुछ तैयार है; विवाह के भोज में आओ।’
5 and they, having disregarded [it], went away, one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
५परन्तु वे उपेक्षा करके चल दिए: कोई अपने खेत को, कोई अपने व्यापार को।
6 and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, mistreated and slew [them].
६अन्य लोगों ने जो बच रहे थे उसके दासों को पकड़कर उनका अनादर किया और मार डाला।
7 And the king having heard, was angry, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
७तब राजा को क्रोध आया, और उसने अपनी सेना भेजकर उन हत्यारों को नाश किया, और उनके नगर को फूँक दिया।
8 then he says to his servants, The wedding feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
८तब उसने अपने दासों से कहा, ‘विवाह का भोज तो तैयार है, परन्तु निमंत्रित लोग योग्य न ठहरे।
9 be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as you may find, call to the wedding feasts.
९इसलिए चौराहों में जाओ, और जितने लोग तुम्हें मिलें, सब को विवाह के भोज में बुला लाओ।’
10 And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, gathered all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
१०अतः उन दासों ने सड़कों पर जाकर क्या बुरे, क्या भले, जितने मिले, सब को इकट्ठा किया; और विवाह का घर अतिथियों से भर गया।
11 And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with wedding clothes,
११“जब राजा अतिथियों को देखने को भीतर आया; तो उसने वहाँ एक मनुष्य को देखा, जोविवाह का वस्त्र नहीं पहने था।
12 and he says to him, Friend, how did you come in here, not having wedding clothes? And he was speechless.
१२उसने उससे पूछा, ‘हे मित्र; तू विवाह का वस्त्र पहने बिना यहाँ क्यों आ गया?’ और वह मनुष्य चुप हो गया।
13 Then the king said to the servants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth into the outer darkness, there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;
१३तब राजा ने सेवकों से कहा, ‘इसके हाथ-पाँव बाँधकर उसे बाहर अंधियारे में डाल दो, वहाँ रोना, और दाँत पीसना होगा।’
14 for many are called, and few chosen.”
१४क्योंकि बुलाए हुए तो बहुत हैं परन्तु चुने हुए थोड़े हैं।”
15 Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare Him in words,
१५तब फरीसियों ने जाकर आपस में विचार किया, कि उसको किस प्रकार बातों में फँसाएँ।
16 and they send to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we have known that You are true, and the way of God in truth You teach, and You are not caring for anyone, for You do not look to the face of men;
१६अतः उन्होंने अपने चेलों को हेरोदियों के साथ उसके पास यह कहने को भेजा, “हे गुरु, हम जानते हैं, कि तू सच्चा है, और परमेश्वर का मार्ग सच्चाई से सिखाता है, और किसी की परवाह नहीं करता, क्योंकि तू मनुष्यों का मुँह देखकर बातें नहीं करता।
17 tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?”
१७इसलिए हमें बता तू क्या समझता है? कैसर को कर देना उचित है, कि नहीं।”
18 And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, “Why do you tempt Me, hypocrites?
१८यीशु ने उनकी दुष्टता जानकर कहा, “हे कपटियों, मुझे क्यों परखते हो?
19 Show Me the tribute-coin.” And they brought to Him a denarius;
१९कर का सिक्का मुझे दिखाओ।” तब वे उसके पास एक दीनार ले आए।
20 and He says to them, “Whose [is] this image and the inscription?”
२०उसने, उनसे पूछा, “यह आकृति और नाम किसका है?”
21 They say to Him, “Caesar’s”; then He says to them, “Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”;
२१उन्होंने उससे कहा, “कैसर का।” तब उसने उनसे कहा, “जो कैसर का है, वह कैसर को; और जो परमेश्वर का है, वह परमेश्वर को दो।”
22 and having heard they wondered, and having left Him they went away.
२२यह सुनकर उन्होंने अचम्भा किया, और उसे छोड़कर चले गए।
23 In that day there came near to Him Sadducees who are saying there is not a resurrection, and they questioned Him, saying,
२३उसी दिन सदूकी जो कहते हैं कि मरे हुओं का पुनरुत्थान है ही नहीं उसके पास आए, और उससे पूछा,
24 “Teacher, Moses said if anyone may die having no children, his brother will marry his wife, and will raise up seed to his brother.
२४“हे गुरु, मूसा ने कहा था, कि यदि कोई बिना सन्तान मर जाए, तो उसका भाई उसकी पत्नी को विवाह करके अपने भाई के लिये वंश उत्पन्न करे।
25 And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married died, and having no seed, he left his wife to his brother;
२५अब हमारे यहाँ सात भाई थे; पहला विवाह करके मर गया; और सन्तान न होने के कारण अपनी पत्नी को अपने भाई के लिये छोड़ गया।
26 in like manner also the second, and the third, to the seventh,
२६इसी प्रकार दूसरे और तीसरे ने भी किया, और सातों तक यही हुआ।
27 and last of all the woman also died;
२७सब के बाद वह स्त्री भी मर गई।
28 therefore in the resurrection, of which of the seven will she be wife—for all had her?”
२८अतः जी उठने पर वह उन सातों में से किसकी पत्नी होगी? क्योंकि वह सब की पत्नी हो चुकी थी।”
29 And Jesus answering said to them, “You go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;
२९यीशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “तुम पवित्रशास्त्र और परमेश्वर की सामर्थ्य नहीं जानते; इस कारण भूल में पड़ गए हो।
30 for in the resurrection they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in Heaven.
३०क्योंकि जी उठने पर विवाह-शादी न होगी; परन्तु वे स्वर्ग में दूतों के समान होंगे।
31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
३१परन्तु मरे हुओं के जी उठने के विषय में क्या तुम ने यह वचन नहीं पढ़ा जो परमेश्वर ने तुम से कहा:
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.”
३२‘मैं अब्राहम का परमेश्वर, और इसहाक का परमेश्वर, और याकूब का परमेश्वर हूँ?’ वह तो मरे हुओं का नहीं, परन्तु जीवितों का परमेश्वर है।”
33 And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching;
३३यह सुनकर लोग उसके उपदेश से चकित हुए।
34 and the Pharisees, having heard that He silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together to Him;
३४जब फरीसियों ने सुना कि यीशु ने सदूकियों का मुँह बन्द कर दिया; तो वे इकट्ठे हुए।
35 and one of them, a lawyer, questioned, tempting Him, and saying,
३५और उनमें से एक व्यवस्थापक ने परखने के लिये, उससे पूछा,
36 “Teacher, which [is] the great command in the Law?”
३६“हे गुरु, व्यवस्था में कौन सी आज्ञा बड़ी है?”
37 And Jesus said to him, “You will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your understanding—
३७उसने उससे कहा, “तू परमेश्वर अपने प्रभु से अपने सारे मन और अपने सारे प्राण और अपनी सारी बुद्धि के साथ प्रेम रख।
38 this is a first and great command;
३८बड़ी और मुख्य आज्ञा तो यही है।
39 and the second [is] like to it: You will love your neighbor as yourself;
३९और उसी के समान यह दूसरी भी है, कि तू अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम रख।
40 on these—the two commands—all the Law and the Prophets hang.”
४०ये ही दो आज्ञाएँ सारीव्यवस्था एवं भविष्यद्वक्ताओंका आधार हैं।”
41 And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus questioned them,
४१जब फरीसी इकट्ठे थे, तो यीशु ने उनसे पूछा,
42 saying, “What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is He Son?” They say to Him, “Of David.”
४२“मसीह के विषय में तुम क्या समझते हो? वह किसकी सन्तान है?” उन्होंने उससे कहा, “दाऊद की।”
43 He says to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,
४३उसने उनसे पूछा, “तो दाऊद आत्मा में होकर उसे प्रभु क्यों कहता है?
44 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Until I may make Your enemies Your footstool?
४४‘प्रभु ने, मेरे प्रभु से कहा, मेरे दाहिने बैठ, जब तक कि मैं तेरे बैरियों को तेरे पाँवों के नीचे की चौकी न कर दूँ।’
45 If then David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?”
४५भला, जब दाऊद उसे प्रभु कहता है, तो वह उसका पुत्र कैसे ठहरा?”
46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any dare question Him from that day [on].
४६उसके उत्तर में कोई भी एक बात न कह सका। परन्तु उस दिन से किसी को फिर उससे कुछ पूछने का साहस न हुआ।
