< Matthew 22 >
1 And Jesus answering, again spoke to them in allegories, saying,
Jesu wakambula lubo kulimbabo mumambila mbali wakati,
2 “The kingdom of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made wedding feasts for his son,
“Bwami bwakujulu buli mbuli umwi mwami wakabambila ipobwe lyakukwatana lyamwanakwe.
3 and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the wedding feasts, and they were not willing to come.
Wakatuma babelesi bakwe kuyoyita abo bakatambidwe kuti baze kupobwe pesi tebakasika.
4 Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Behold, I prepared my early meal, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come to the wedding feasts;
Alimwi mwami wakatuma bambi babelesi, kuti, bambile aabo batambidwe, “Mulange, ndabambilila chisusulo chabasune bangu angómbe zyangu zinenede zyajayigwa, alubo zintu zyoonse zyabizwa. Muze kupobwe lyalukwatano.”
5 and they, having disregarded [it], went away, one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
Pesi tebakaswilila pe alimwi bakainka, umwu kumunda wakwe mupati, awumwi kumakwebo akwe.
6 and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, mistreated and slew [them].
Bamwi bakajata babelesi ba Mwami, bakabajata enzila ifwisya nsoni, akubajaya.
7 And the king having heard, was angry, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
Mwami wakanyema, akutuma basilumamba bakwe akuyonyonyona aabo bajayi akubawumpila dolopo lyabo.
8 then he says to his servants, The wedding feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
Mpawo wakati kubabelesi bakwe, kuswanizigwa kwazulila, pesi abo bakatambidwe tebakali kwelela.
9 be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as you may find, call to the wedding feasts.
Aboobo kamuya mumanzanino anzila akuyotamba bantu banji kupobwe lyakukwatana mbuli mbimutajane.'
10 And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, gathered all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
Babelesi bakayinka enzila akubunganya antomwe bantu boonse mbibakajana, bonse babi ababotu. Nkinkako ngánda yepobwe lyakukwatana yakazozula abantu.
11 And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with wedding clothes,
Pesi Mwami nakasika mukati kuzolanga batambidwe, wakabona kakuli mwalumi wakatazwete zizwato zyapobwe lyalukwatano.
12 and he says to him, Friend, how did you come in here, not having wedding clothes? And he was speechless.
Mwami wakati kulinguwe, Mwenzuma, wanjila byeni omuno kotasamide zizwato zyapobwe lyalukwatano?'Pesi mwalumi wakabula alyakwamba.
13 Then the king said to the servants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth into the outer darkness, there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;
Mpawo mwami wakati kubabelesi, 'mumwange mwalumi oyu kumaboko akumawulu, alubo mumusowele aanze mumudima, oko kunoli kulila akuluma ntwino.'
14 for many are called, and few chosen.”
Nkambo mbingi bantu batambidwe, pesi mbache biyo basalidwe.”
15 Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare Him in words,
Mpawo baFalisi bakinka akuyobamba mbubatamuche Jesu kuzwa kungambwido yakwe.
16 and they send to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we have known that You are true, and the way of God in truth You teach, and You are not caring for anyone, for You do not look to the face of men;
Mpawo bakatuma kulinguwe basikwiya babo, antomwe abaka Helodiya. Bakati kuli Jesu, 'Ómuyisyi, tulizi kuti uli wakasimpe, alubo kuti uyiisya nzila yaLeza mubwini. Tomvwi miyeyo yawumwi pe alubo totondezya kusiyanisya pe akati kabantu.
17 tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?”
Mpo kotwambila, uyeyanzi? Zili mumulawu na kubbadala mutelo kuli Siza na pe?”
18 And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, “Why do you tempt Me, hypocrites?
Pesi Jesu wakamvwisisisya bubi bwabo wakati, “Nkambonzi nimundisunka, nywebo nobasikuupawupa?
19 Show Me the tribute-coin.” And they brought to Him a denarius;
Munditondezye mali yabbwe yamutelo.” Mpawo bakamwetela dinali kulinguwe.
20 and He says to them, “Whose [is] this image and the inscription?”
Jesu wakati k ulimbabo, “Ngwani ulachechi chikozyanisyo e zina?”
21 They say to Him, “Caesar’s”; then He says to them, “Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”;
Bakasandula kuti, “nzizya Siza.” Mpawo Jesu wakati kulimbabo, “alimwi amupe Siza zintu zya Siza, alubo kuli Leza zintu zya Leza.”
22 and having heard they wondered, and having left Him they went away.
Elyo nibakazimvwa, bakagamba. Mpawo bakamusiya akwenda.
23 In that day there came near to Him Sadducees who are saying there is not a resurrection, and they questioned Him, saying,
Mubuzuba oobo bamwi ba Sadusi, abo baamba kuti takwepe bubuke bwabafu, bakeza kulinguwe. Bakamubuzya,
24 “Teacher, Moses said if anyone may die having no children, his brother will marry his wife, and will raise up seed to his brother.
kabati, 'Muyisyi, Mozesi wakatedi, “Na mwalumi wafwa, kataside bana, mukulana wakwe welede kukwata banakwe akumujanina bana mukulana wakwe.
25 And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married died, and having no seed, he left his wife to his brother;
Kwakali bakulana bali musanu ababili. Mutanzi wakakwata mpawo wakafwa katasiide bana, wakasiya mwanakazi wakwe kumwanike wakwe.
26 in like manner also the second, and the third, to the seventh,
Alimwi alakwe mwanike wachibili wakachita chintu chikozyania, mpawo awatatu, mulongo woonse kusikila kuli wamusanu ababili.
27 and last of all the woman also died;
Kwinda kwabo boonse, mwanakazi wakazofwa.
28 therefore in the resurrection, of which of the seven will she be wife—for all had her?”
Lino kububuke bwabafu, ngwani utakabe mwani mwanakazi mubakulana bali musanu ababili? Nkambo boonse bakali mukwete.”
29 And Jesus answering said to them, “You go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;
Pesi Jesu wakbasandula akuti kulimbabo, “Nywebo muliswekede, nkambo tamuzi malembe naa inguzu zya Leza.
30 for in the resurrection they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in Heaven.
Nkambo mububuke bwabo takwe nekuba kukwata nikuba kukwatisigwa. Anukuti, bayoba mbuli baangelo bali kujulu.
31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
Pesi atala abubuke bwabafu, temwakabala na zyakaambwa kulindinywe a Leza, kuti
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.”
Ndime Leza wa Abbulahamu, Leza wa Ayizeki, alimwi Leza wa Jakobo'? Leza teensi Leza wabafwide, pesi waba pona.”
33 And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching;
Eelyo makamu nakamvwa eezi, bakagamba kunjiisyo zyakwe.
34 and the Pharisees, having heard that He silenced the Sadducees, were gathered together to Him;
Pesi ba Falisi nibakamvwa kuti Jesu wakawumuzya ba Saduki, bakalibungania lwabo beni antomwe.
35 and one of them, a lawyer, questioned, tempting Him, and saying,
Umwi wabo, uyiide zyamulawu, wakamubuzya mubuzyo, kumusunka -
36 “Teacher, which [is] the great command in the Law?”
“Muyiisi, nguuli mulayizyo mupati mumulawu?”
37 And Jesus said to him, “You will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your understanding—
Jesu wakati kulinguwe “Yanda Mwami Leza wako a moyo woonse, alubo amiyeyo yako yoonse.'
38 this is a first and great command;
Oyu ngomulazyo mupati alubo ngomutanzi.
39 and the second [is] like to it: You will love your neighbor as yourself;
Alimwi awabili mulayizyo ulimbuli oyu - Ýanda mwenzinyokwe mbuli mboliyanda lwako.'
40 on these—the two commands—all the Law and the Prophets hang.”
Amilawu eyi ibili mpokuzulila mulawu woonse abasinsimi.”
41 And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus questioned them,
Lino ba Falisi nibakachibungene antomwe, Jesu wakababuzya mubuzyo.
42 saying, “What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is He Son?” They say to Him, “Of David.”
Wakati, “muyeeyanzi aatala a Kkilisito? Mwana wani?” Bakamusandula, “mwana wa Devidi.”
43 He says to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,
Jesu wakati kulimbabo, “Biyeni mpo Devidi mumuuya ulamwiita kuti Mwami, kaamba,
44 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Until I may make Your enemies Your footstool?
'Mwami wakati ku Mwami wangu. “Kkala kuluboko lwangu lwachilisyo, kusikila ndayita basinkonyokwe chikkalilo chamawulu ako”?
45 If then David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?”
Kuti Devidi wakiita Kkilisito kuti 'Mwami,' nkambonzi nali mwana wa Devidi?”
46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any dare question Him from that day [on].
Takwe wakakonzya kumusandula jwilyomwe, alubo takukwe wakachili kuyanda kumubuzya imbi mibuzyo kuzwa elyo zuba.
