< Matthew 20 >
1 “For the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a householder, who went forth with the morning to hire workmen for his vineyard,
“Ufumu wakumwamba uli ngati mwini munda amene anapita mmawa kukalemba anthu aganyu kuti akagwire ntchito mʼmunda wake wa mpesa.
2 and having agreed with the workmen for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
Anagwirizana kuwalipira dinari monga malipiro a tsiku limodzi ndipo anawatumiza mʼmunda wake wamphesa.
3 And having gone forth about the third hour, he saw others standing in the marketplace idle,
“Nthawi 9 koloko mmawa, anatulukanso naona ena atayimirira pa msika akungokhala.
4 and to these he said, Go—also you—to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous I will give you;
Anawawuza kuti, ‘Inunso pitani mukagwire ntchito mʼmunda wanga wa mpesa, ndipo ndidzakulipirani malipiro oyenera.’
5 and they went away. Again, having gone forth about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did in like manner.
Ndipo anapita. “Anatulukanso nthawi ya 12 koloko masana, ndi nthawi ya 3 koloko masananso nachita chimodzimodzi.
6 And about the eleventh hour, having gone forth, he found others standing idle and says to them, Why have you stood here idle all day?
Nthawi ya 5 koloko madzulo anatulukanso ndipo anapeza enanso atangoyimirira. Anawafunsa kuti, ‘Chifukwa chiyani mukungoyimirira pano tsiku lonse osagwira ntchito?’
7 They say to him, Because no one hired us; he says to them, Go—you also—to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous you will receive.
“Iwo anayankha kuti, ‘Chifukwa palibe munthu amene watilemba ganyu.’ “Iye anawawuza kuti, ‘Inunso pitani mukagwire ntchito mʼmunda wanga wa mpesa.’
8 And evening having come, the lord of the vineyard says to his steward, Call the workmen, and pay them the reward, having begun from the last—to the first.
“Ndipo pofika madzulo, mwini munda wamphesa anayitana kapitawo wake nati, ‘Itana antchito ndipo uwapatse malipiro awo, kuyambira omalizira aja mpaka oyamba.’
9 And they of about the eleventh hour having come, each received a denarius.
“Antchito amene anawalemba ganyu pa 5 koloko masana anafika ndipo aliyense analandira dinari.
10 And the first having come, supposed that they will receive more, and they received, they also, each a denarius,
Ndipo atabwera kwa amene analembedwa poyamba anayembekezera kuti alandira zambiri. Koma aliyense wa iwo analandira dinari.
11 and having received [it], they were murmuring against the householder, saying,
Atalandira, anayamba kuderera kwa mwini mundayo.
12 that, These, the last, worked one hour, and you made them equal to us, who were bearing the burden of the day—and the heat.
Iwo anati, ‘Anthu amene munawalemba pomalizira agwira ntchito ora limodzi, ndipo mwawafananitsa ndi ife amene tathyoka nayo ntchito ndi kutentha kwa dzuwa tsiku lonse.’
13 And he answering said to one of them, Friend, I do no unrighteousness to you; did you not agree with me for a denarius?
“Koma iye anamuyankha mmodzi wa iwo nati, ‘Bwenzi, ine sikuti sindinachite chilungamo. Kodi sunavomereze kuti ugwira ntchito ndi kulandira dinari?
14 Take that which is yours, and go; and I will to give to this, the last, also as to you;
Tenga malipiro ako pita. Ndikufuna kumupatsa munthu amene ndinamulemba pomaliza mofanana ndi mmene ndakupatsira iwe.
15 is it not lawful to me to do what I will in my own? Is your eye evil because I am good?
Kodi ndilibe ufulu wochita zimene ndikufuna ndi ndalama zanga? Kapena ukuyipidwa chifukwa ndine wopereka mowolowamanja?’
16 So the last will be first, and the first last, for many are called, and few chosen.”
“Momwemo omalizira adzakhala oyamba ndipo oyamba adzakhala omalizira.”
17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples by themselves in the way and said to them,
Tsopano pamene Yesu ankapita ku Yerusalemu, anatengera pambali ophunzira ake khumi ndi awiriwo nati kwa iwo,
18 “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes,
“Tikupita ku Yerusalemu, ndipo Mwana wa Munthu adzaperekedwa kwa akulu a ansembe ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo. Iwo adzamuweruza kuti aphedwe,
19 and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the nations to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify, and the third day He will rise again.”
ndipo adzamupereka kwa anthu a mitundu ina kuti amunyoze ndi kumukwapula ndi kumupachika. Pa tsiku lachitatu adzaukitsidwa!”
20 Then came near to Him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, prostrating and asking something from Him,
Amayi a ana a Zebedayo anabwera ndi ana ake kwa Yesu, nagwada pansi namupempha Iye.
21 and He said to her, “What do you will?” She says to Him, “Say that they may sit—these two sons of mine—one on Your right hand and one on the left, in Your kingdom.”
Yesu anawafunsa kuti, “Mukufuna chiyani?” Amayiwo anati, “Lolani kuti ana anga awiriwa adzakhale mmodzi ku dzanja lanu lamanja ndi wina ku dzanja lanu lamazere mu ufumu wanu.”
22 And Jesus answering said, “You have not known what you ask for yourselves; are you able to drink of the cup that I am about to drink? And with the immersion that I am immersed with, to be immersed?” They say to Him, “We are able.”
Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Simukudziwa chimene mukupempha. Kodi mungathe kumwera chikho chimene ndidzamwera Ine?” Iwo anayankha nati, “Inde tingathe.”
23 And He says to them, “Of My cup indeed you will drink, and with the immersion that I am immersed with you will be immersed; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but—to those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”
Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Zoonadi mudzamwera chikho changa, koma kuti mudzakhale ku dzanja langa lamanja kapena lamazere si kwa Ine kupereka. Malo awa ndi a iwo amene anakonzeredweratu ndi Atate anga.”
24 And the ten having heard, were much displeased with the two brothers,
Ophunzira khumi aja, anawapsera mtima abale awiriwo.
25 and Jesus having called them near, said, “You have known that the rulers of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those [who are] great exercise authority over them,
Yesu anawayitana onse pamodzi nati, “Mukudziwa kuti olamulira a mitundu ina ali ndi mphamvu pa iwo, ndipo akuluakulu awo amawalamulira.
26 but not so will it be among you, but whoever may will among you to become great, let him be your servant;
Siziyenera kutero ndi inu. Mʼmalo mwake, aliyense amene akufuna kukhala wamkulu pakati panu akhale wotumikira wanu.
27 and whoever may will among you to be first, let him be your servant;
Ndipo aliyense amene akufuna kukhala woyamba akhale kapolo wanu.
28 even as the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life [as] a ransom for many.”
Momwenso Mwana wa Munthu sanabwere kudzatumikiridwa, koma kudzatumikira, ndi kupereka moyo wake kukhala dipo la anthu ambiri.”
29 And they going forth from Jericho, there followed Him a great multitude,
Pamene Yesu ndi ophunzira ake ankachoka ku Yeriko, gulu lalikulu la anthu linawatsata.
30 and behold, two blind men sitting by the way, having heard that Jesus passes by, cried, saying, “Deal kindly with us, Lord—Son of David.”
Amuna awiri osaona anakhala mʼmbali mwa msewu, ndipo pamene anamva kuti Yesu akudutsa anafuwula kuti, “Ambuye, Mwana wa Davide, tichitireni chifundo!”
31 And the multitude charged them that they might be silent, and they cried out the more, saying, “Deal kindly with us Lord—Son of David.”
Gulu la anthulo linawadzudzula iwo ndi kuwawuza kuti akhale chete, koma anafuwulitsabe kuti, “Ambuye, Mwana wa Davide, tichitireni chifundo!”
32 And having stood, Jesus called them and said, “What do you will [that] I may do to you?”
Yesu anayima ndi kuwayitana ndipo anawafunsa kuti, “Mukufuna ndikuchitireni chiyani?”
33 They say to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened”;
Anamuyankha nati, “Ambuye, tikufuna tione!”
34 and having been moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.
Yesu anamva nawo chifundo ndipo anakhudza maso awo. Nthawi yomweyo anaona namutsata Iye.
