< Matthew 18 >
1 At that hour the disciples came near to Jesus, saying, “Who, now, is greater in the kingdom of the heavens?”
Acuna k'um üng, axüisaw he a veia law u lü Jesuh üng, “U ja Khankhaw Pea a kyäp säih kawm?” ti lü ami kthäh.
2 And Jesus having called near a child, set him in the midst of them,
Acunüng Jesuh naw hnasenca mat khü lü, ami maa a ngdüihsak.
3 and said, “Truly I say to you, if you may not be turned and become as the children, you may not enter into the kingdom of the heavens;
“Akcanga ka ning jah mthehki, nghlat be u lü hnasena mäiha am nami ve üng Khankhaw Pe am pha hlawt uki.”
4 whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the kingdom of the heavens.
Acunakyase, Khankhaw Pea a kyäp säih vai cun hina hnasenca mäiha a mlung mnemki ni a kyäp säih kawm.
5 And he who may receive one such child in My Name, receives Me,
“Aupi, ka ngming üng je lü hina hnasenca mäih dokhamki cun kei na dokhamki ni.
6 and whoever may cause to stumble one of those little ones who are believing in Me, it is better for him that a weighty millstone may be hanged on his neck, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea.
“Cunsepi, kei na jumkia hina hnasen mat, mkhyekat khaia kyukngtängsakia khyang cun a nghngü üng ksum khawp lü lia thuknak tuia xawtin hin a phäha daw bawk khai ni,” a ti.
7 Woe to the world from the stumbling-blocks! For there is necessity for the stumbling-blocks to come, but woe to that man through whom the stumbling-block comes!
Jesuh naw, “Khyang he jah mkhyekatsaki khawmdeka da se khawmdeknu hin ihlawka kyühei phyaki ni! Acuna mkhyekatnaka ngkhawe cun aläa thawn khai. Cunüngpi, mkhyekatnak vaia pawhkia khyanga phäh ihlawka kyühei phya khai ni.
8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast [them] from you; it is good for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the continuous fire.
9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast from you; it is good for you to enter into life one-eyed, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna )
(Geenna )
10 Beware! You may not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their messengers in the heavens always behold the face of My Father who is in the heavens,
“Ahina hnasenca he käh jah hmuhmsit ua. Ami khankhawngsä he cun ka pa vei khankhawa awmki he ni, ti ka ning jah mthehki.
11 [[for the Son of Man came to save the lost.]]
Isetiüng ta, khyanga Capa hin khyükie jah thawngkhyah khaia lawki ni.
12 What do you think? If a man may have one hundred sheep, and there may go astray one of them, does he not—having left the ninety-nine, having gone on the mountains—seek that which is gone astray?
“Ihawkba ni nami ngaih? Khyang mat naw toca aphya a tak üngka mat khyük se i pawh khai ni? A taw kawkip ja kaw jah hawih hüt lü khyükia taw mat sui khaia mcunga cit khai.
13 And if it may come to pass that he finds it, truly I say to you that he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that have not gone astray;
Acun a hmuh be üng, veki kawkip ja kawa kthaka pi acuna khyüki mat a hmuh bea phäha aktäa jeki.
14 so it is not [the] will in [the] presence of your Father who is in the heavens that one of these little ones may perish.
Acukba kunga, hina hnasenca he üngka matca pi amdanga a khyüh vaia nami pa khana ka naw am hlüei.
15 And if your brother may sin against you, go and show him his fault between you and him alone, if he may hear you, you gained your brother;
Na bena naw a ning mkhyekatnak üng, a veia cet lü a mkhyekatnak nanimäta ksinga a mkhyenak na mtheh vai, na mtheh a ngjak üng na mkhüta kyaki.
16 and if he may not hear, take with you yet one or two, that by the mouth of two witnesses or three every word may stand.
Acunüngpi na mtheh am a ngjak üng, a mkhyekatnak angsingnak ksing khaia khyang nghngih mat bang jah cehpüi lü na ceh vai. Cangcim naw “Mkhyekatnak naküt üng saksiki nghngih kthum ve yah khai” a tia kba na pawh vai.
17 And if he may not hear them, say [it] to the assembly, and if also the assembly he may not hear, let him be to you as the heathen man and the tax collector.
Acunüng, acun hea pyen pi am a jah ngaih üng, avana sangcim üng nami sang vai. Akpäihnaka sangcima pyen pi am a ngaihsim üng khyang k'yu ja akhawnkawka nami ngaih vai.
18 Truly I say to you, whatever things you may bind on the earth will be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever things you may loose on the earth will be having been loosed in the heavens.
Akcanga ka ning jah mthehki, khawmdek khana nami mhlät naküt cun khankhawa pi mhläta kya khai, khawmdek khana am nami mhlät naküt cun khankhawa pi mhläta am kya.
19 Again, I say to you that if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask—it will be done to them from My Father who is in the heavens,
20 for where there are two or three gathered together—to My Name, there am I in the midst of them.”
“Ahawia pi, nghngih kthum ka ngming üng ngcun u lü ami ve üng ami ksunga kei ka veki,” a ti.
21 Then Peter having come near to Him, said, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him—until seven times?”
22 Jesus says to him, “I do not say to you until seven times, but until seventy times seven.
Jesuh naw, “Khyüh vei am ni, khyühkip ja khyüh vei na mhlät vai,” a ti.
23 Because of this was the kingdom of the heavens likened to a man, a king, who willed to take reckoning with his servants,
Acunakyase, Khankhaw Pe cun Sangpuxang mat a mpyaea pupawng ngui jah bükteng lawki üng tängki ni.
24 and he having begun to take account, there was brought near to him one debtor of a myriad of talents,
Acukba a jah teng law üng ngui tan xa k’hläih lei naki mat cun a veia ami lawpüi.
25 and he having nothing to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and the children, and all, whatever he had, and payment to be made.
Ngui a pu am thung be hlawt se Sangpuxang naw man lü amät mpyaa jawi lü, a khyuca he ja a khawhkhyam naküt pi jah jawisih lü, a lei ami thung vaia a jah mtheh.
26 The servant then, having fallen down, was prostrating to him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all;
Acuna mpya cun Sangpuxanga maa a mkhuk am ngdäng lü, “Ka Bawipa aw, na bä ni, na msawkei canga,” avan ka ning thung law be khai ni,” a ti.
27 and the lord of that servant having been moved with compassion released him, and the debt he forgave him.
Sangpuxang naw mpyenei lü hläh be lü a lei naküt avan pi a mhlät.
28 And that servant having come forth, found one of his fellow-servants who was owing him one hundred denarii, and having laid hold, he took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that which you owe.
Acunüng, acuna mpya cun cit lü a püi mpyae üngka mat, ngui api a kpu a va hmuh. Man lü “Na pu na thung law bea” ti lü a k'aw üng a kbüh.
29 His fellow-servant then, having fallen down at his feet, was calling on him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you all;
A püi mpya naw a mkhuk am ngdäng lü, “Na mpyenei lü, na msawk canga, ka ning thung law be päih khai ni,” ti lü, a nghuinak.
30 and he would not, but having gone away, he cast him into prison, until he might pay that which was owing.
Cunsepi, käh mpyenei lü am a thung be khawh vei thawng im üng a khyum.
31 And his fellow-servants having seen the things that were done, were grieved exceedingly, and having come, showed fully to their lord all the things that were done;
Acun cun mpya kce he naw ami hmuh üng aktäa ami mlung na se, Sangpuxang üng acuna mawng cun ami va mtheh u.
32 then having called him, his lord says to him, Evil servant! All that debt I forgave you, seeing you called on me;
33 did it not seem necessary to you to have dealt kindly with your fellow servant, as I also dealt kindly with you?
34 And having been angry, his lord delivered him to the inquisitors, until he might pay all that was owing to him;
Sangpuxang thüi lawki naw a mpya cun a lei naküt am a thung be khawh veia thawngim üng a khyum.
35 so also My heavenly Father will do to you, if you may not forgive each one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.”
Acukba bäa, khyang naküt naw nami mlungmthin kcang am nami benaa mkhyekatnak am nami mhlät üng khankhawa kaa Ka Pa naw pi nami mkhyekatnak am ning jah mhlät khai ni,” a ti.
