< Matthew 14 >
1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the fame of Jesus,

2 and said to his servants, “This is John the Immerser, he rose from the dead, and because of this the mighty energies are working in him.”

3 For Herod having laid hold on John, bound him, and put him in prison, because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,

4 for John was saying to him, “It is not lawful to you to have her,”

5 and willing to kill him, he feared the multitude, because as a prophet they were holding him.

6 But the birthday of Herod being kept, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod,

7 after which with an oath he professed to give her whatever she might ask.

8 And she, having been instigated by her mother, says, “Give me here on a plate the head of John the Immerser”;

9 and the king was grieved, but because of the oaths and of those dining with him, he commanded [it] to be given;

10 and having sent, he beheaded John in the prison,

11 and his head was brought on a plate, and was given to the girl, and she brought [it] near to her mother.
Aduga John-gi makok adu sempak amada haptuna puraklaga nupi aduda pire, aduga mahakna madu mamagi nakta puraklammi.
12 And his disciples having come, took up the body, and buried it, and having come, they told Jesus,
Amasung John-gi tung-inbasing aduna laklaga mahakki asiba hakchang adu louduna leiron chankhi. Adudagi makhoina chattuna thoudok adubu Jisuda tamkhi.
13 and Jesus having heard, withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by Himself, and the multitudes having heard followed Him on land from the cities.
Jisuna pao adu tabada hi amada tongduna mapham adu thadoklaga mathanta achikpa mapham amada chatkhirammi. Adubu misingna madu tabada makhoi makhoigi saharsing thadoklamlaga makhongna kangphalda chattuna Ibungogi tung illaklammi.
14 And Jesus having come forth, saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion on them, and healed their sick;
Aduga Jisuna hidagi hek kumthabaga yamlaba miyam adu uba matamda Ibungogi thamoida makhoibu nungsiba poklammi amasung mahakna makhoigi anabasingbu phahanbirammi.
15 and evening having come, His disciples came to Him, saying, “The place is desolate, and the hour has now past, let away the multitudes that, having gone into the villages, they may buy food for themselves.”
Adudagi numidangwairam oisillaklabada Ibungogi tung-inbasingna Ibungogi nakta laktuna hairak-i, “Mapham asi lamhangni, aduga matam asisu thengjillakle. Aduna makhoina khunggangsingda chattuna makhoi masagi chananaba leijarunaba miyam asi thadokkhrasi.”
16 And Jesus said to them, “They have no need to go away—you give them to eat.”
Adubu Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Makhoina chatlubagi mathou tade. Nakhoina oina makhoida chanaba piyu.”
17 And they say to Him, “We have nothing here except five loaves and two fishes.”
Makhoina Ibungoda khumlak-i, “Eikhoigi leijaba haibabu tal manga amadi nga anikhak lei.”
18 And He said, “Bring them to Me here.”
Maduda Ibungona makhoida hairak-i, “Madu eigi inakta purak-u.”
19 And having commanded the multitudes to recline on the grass, and having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having looked up to the sky, He blessed, and having broken, He gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples [gave] to the multitudes,
Adudagi Ibungona miyamsing adubu napi mathakta phamnanaba yathang pirammi. Aduga mahakna tal manga amasung nga ani adu louduna swargada yengkhattuna Tengban Mapubu thagatcharaga talsing adu settuna tung-inbasingda pire. Aduga tung-inbasing aduna madu miyamda yenthoklammi.
20 and they all ate, and were filled, and they took up what was over of the broken pieces twelve hand-baskets full;
Amasung makhoi pumnamakna mabuk thanna charaba matungda tung-inbasing aduna lemhouba machet makaising adu khomjinbada thumok taranithoi thankhi.
21 and those eating were about five thousand men, apart from women and children.
Numit aduda chakhiba mising adu nupi amasung angang thadana nupa lising mangarom oirammi.
22 And immediately Jesus constrained His disciples to go into the boat, and to go before Him to the other side, until He might let away the multitudes;

23 and having let away the multitudes, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray, and evening having come, He was there alone,
Adudagi Ibungona mising adubu mayumda halhankhraba matungda haijanabagidamak mathanta chingthak amada kakhatlammi. Aduga mahakna mapham aduda mathanta leiringeida numidangwairam oisinlaklammi.
24 and the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
Matam aduda hi adudi nungsit maiyoknabagi maramna ithakna yeiduna iyaida leirammi.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went away to them, walking on the sea,
Aduga nongngallamdaigi pung ahum aduwaida Jisuna ising mathakta khongna chattuna mahakki tung-inbasinggi nakta laklammi.
26 and the disciples having seen Him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, “It is an apparition,” and from the fear they cried out;
Aduga Ibungona ising mathakta khongna chatpadu ubada, Ibungogi tung-inbasing aduna akiba phaoraduna hairak-i, “Masi tamnaba laini” amasung makhoina kibaga loinana laorammi.
27 and immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage! I AM; do not be afraid.”
Adubu khudak aduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Nathouna phou, eini kiganu!”
28 And Peter answering Him said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the waters”;
Adudagi Peter-na hairak-i, “Ibungo, asengbamak nahak oirabadi, eihakna ising mathak asida chattuna nanakta laknaba eingonda yathang pinabiyu.”
29 and He said, “Come”; and having gone down from the boat, Peter walked on the waters to come to Jesus,
Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Lak-u!” Aduga Peter-na hidagi kumthaduna Ibungogi manak tamna ising mathakta chatlammi.
30 but seeing the vehement wind, he was afraid, and having begun to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
Adubu mahakna akanba nungsit adu uba matamda mahak akiba phaoraklammi amasung isingda lupthaba houraklammi. Maduda mahakna laorak-i, “Ibungo, eihakpu kanbiyu!”
31 And immediately Jesus, having stretched forth the hand, laid hold of him and says to him, “Little faith! For why did you waver?”
Khudak aduda Jisuna makhut tingthoktuna mahakpu chingkhatpiraduna hairak-i, “He, thajaba watpa, nahakna karigi chingnaribano?”
32 And they having gone into the boat, the wind stilled,
Aduga makhoina hida kakhatpaga nungsit adu lepkhre.
33 and those in the boat having come, worshiped Him, saying, “You are truly God’s Son.”
Adudagi hi manungda leiriba Ibungogi tung-inbasing aduna Ibungobu khurumjaduna hairak-i, “Tasengbamak Ibungo nahak Tengban Mapugi Machanupani!”
34 And having passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret,
Aduga makhoina pat adu lanthoktuna Gennesaret-ki lamda laklammi.
35 and having recognized Him, the men of that place sent forth to all that surrounding region, and they brought to Him all who were ill,
Mapham adugi mising aduna Jisubu khanglabada akoibada leiriba lam pumnamakta Ibungona thunglabagi pao thakhirammi. Aduga misingna anaba pumnamakpu Ibungogi manakta puraktuna,
36 and were calling on Him that they might only touch the fringe of His garment, and as many as touched were saved.
anabasing aduna Ibungogi phijida sokchanaba makhoina Ibungoda haijare. Aduga madubu sokchaba anaba khudingmakna anaba phajarammi.
