3 For Herod having laid hold on John, bound him, and put him in prison, because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,

Kwa kuj'ha Yohana an'jobhili, “Si halali kun'tola muene kuj'ha n'dala munu.”
5 and willing to kill him, he feared the multitude, because as a prophet they were holding him.
6 But the birthday of Herod being kept, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod,

12 And his disciples having come, took up the body, and buried it, and having come, they told Jesus,
13 and Jesus having heard, withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by Himself, and the multitudes having heard followed Him on land from the cities.
Ni muene Yesu bho ap'heliki agha, akakitenga kuhoma mahali pala akapakama mu mashua akalota sehemu j'haj'hitengibhu. Bhwakati bhumati bhumanyili kwaalotili, bhankesili kwa mag'olo kuhoma mijini.
14 And Jesus having come forth, saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion on them, and healed their sick;
Kisha Yesu akahida mbele j'ha bhene akabhubhona bhumati m'baha. Akabhabhonera k'hesa ni kubhaponya bhubhina bhwabho
15 and evening having come, His disciples came to Him, saying, “The place is desolate, and the hour has now past, let away the multitudes that, having gone into the villages, they may buy food for themselves.”
Kimihi bho kifikiri, bhanafunzi bhakahida kwa muene nikujobha, “E'j'he sehemu j'ha jangwa ni ligono tayari limalili kulota. Bhatabhwanyisiayi makutano ili bhalota kufijijini bhakahemelayi fyakulya kwandabha j'ha bhene.
16 And Jesus said to them, “They have no need to go away—you give them to eat.”
Mubhap'elayi muenga kyakulya”
17 And they say to Him, “We have nothing here except five loaves and two fishes.”
Bhakan'jobhela, “Lepi tuj'henaj'hu mikate mihanu ni somba sibhele tu.”
18 And He said, “Bring them to Me here.”
Yesu akajobha, Mughiletayi kwa nene.”
19 And having commanded the multitudes to recline on the grass, and having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having looked up to the sky, He blessed, and having broken, He gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples [gave] to the multitudes,
Kisha Yesu akamuru bhumati kutama pasi pa manyasi. Akalota mikate mihano ni somba sibhele. Akalanga kunani kumbinguni, akabariki ni kumetula mikate akabhapela bhanafunzi. Bhanafunzi bhakaupela umati.

27 and immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage! I AM; do not be afraid.”
Yesu akabhajobhela mara moja, akajobha, “Mwikipelayi muoyo! ndo nene! musitili.”
28 And Peter answering Him said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the waters”;
29 and He said, “Come”; and having gone down from the boat, Peter walked on the waters to come to Jesus,
Yesu akajobha, “Hidayi.” Hivyo Petro akapita mugati mu mashua ni kugenda panani pa masi kul'ota kwa Yesu.
30 but seeing the vehement wind, he was afraid, and having begun to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus, having stretched forth the hand, laid hold of him and says to him, “Little faith! For why did you waver?”
Yesu manyata akanyosya kibhoko kya muene akanjinula Petro ni kuj'obhela, “Bhebhe mwenye imani j'hidebe, kwa ndabha j'ha kiki likaj'hele ni bhuogha?”
32 And they having gone into the boat, the wind stilled,
