Matthew 10
1 And having called His twelve disciples to Himself, He gave to them power over unclean spirits, so as to be casting them out, and to be healing every disease and every sickness.
Er rief dann seine zwölf Jünger herbei und verlieh ihnen Macht über die unreinen Geister, so daß sie diese auszutreiben und alle Krankheiten und jedes Gebrechen zu heilen vermochten.
2 And of the twelve apostles the names are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James of Zebedee, and his brother John;
Die Namen der zwölf Apostel aber sind folgende: Zuerst Simon, der auch Petrus heißt, und sein Bruder Andreas; sodann Jakobus, der Sohn des Zebedäus, und sein Bruder Johannes;
3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector; James of Alpheus, and Lebbeus who was surnamed Thaddeus;
Philippus und Bartholomäus; Thomas und der Zöllner Matthäus; Jakobus, der Sohn des Alphäus, und Lebbäus (mit dem Beinamen Thaddäus);
4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who also delivered Him up.
Simon, der Kananäer und Judas, der Iskariote, derselbe, der ihn verraten hat.
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, having given command to them, saying, “Do not go away to the way of the nations, and do not go into a city of the Samaritans,
Diese Zwölf sandte Jesus aus, nachdem er ihnen folgende Weisungen gegeben hatte: »Den Weg zu den Heidenvölkern schlagt nicht ein und tretet auch in keine Samariterstadt ein,
6 and be going rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
geht vielmehr (nur) zu den verlorenen Schafen des Hauses Israel.
7 And going on, proclaim, saying that the kingdom of the heavens has come near;
Auf eurer Wanderung predigt: ›Das Himmelreich ist nahe herbeigekommen!‹
8 be healing [those] ailing, raising the dead, cleansing lepers, casting out demons—freely you received, freely give.
Heilt Kranke, weckt Tote auf, macht Aussätzige rein, treibt böse Geister aus: umsonst habt ihr’s empfangen, umsonst sollt ihr’s auch weitergeben!
9 Do not provide gold, nor silver, nor brass in your girdles,
Sucht euch kein Gold, kein Silber, kein Kupfergeld in eure Gürtel zu verschaffen,
10 nor leather pouch for the way, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor staff—for the workman is worthy of his nourishment.
nehmt keinen Ranzen mit auf den Weg, auch nicht zwei Röcke, keine Schuhe und keinen Stock, denn der Arbeiter ist seines Unterhalts wert.
11 And into whatever city or village you may enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and abide there, until you may go forth.
Wo ihr in eine Stadt oder ein Dorf eintretet, da erkundigt euch, wer dort würdig sei (euch zu beherbergen), und bei dem bleibt, bis ihr weiterzieht.
12 And coming into the house greet it,
Beim Eintritt in das Haus entbietet ihm den Friedensgruß,
13 and if indeed the house is worthy, let your peace come on it; and if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
und wenn das Haus es verdient, soll der Friede, den ihr ihm gewünscht habt, ihm auch zuteil werden; ist es dessen aber nicht würdig, so soll euer ihm gewünschter Friede zu euch zurückkehren.
14 And whoever may not receive you nor hear your words, coming forth from that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet,
Wo man euch nicht aufnimmt und euren Worten kein Gehör schenkt, da geht aus dem betreffenden Hause oder Orte hinaus und schüttelt den Staub von euren Füßen ab!
15 truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Wahrlich ich sage euch: Dem Lande Sodom und Gomorrha wird es am Tage des Gerichts erträglicher ergehen als einer solchen Stadt!
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore be wise as the serpents, and pure as the doves.
Bedenket wohl: ich sende euch wie Schafe mitten unter Wölfe; darum seid klug wie die Schlangen und ohne Falsch wie die Tauben!«
17 And take heed of men, for they will give you up to Sanhedrins, and in their synagogues they will scourge you,
»Nehmt euch aber vor den Menschen in acht! Denn sie werden euch vor die Gerichtshöfe stellen und in ihren Synagogen euch geißeln;
18 and before governors and kings you will be brought for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
auch vor Statthalter und Könige werdet ihr um meinetwillen geführt werden, um Zeugnis vor ihnen und den Heidenvölkern abzulegen.
19 And whenever they may deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you may speak, for it will be given you in that hour what you will speak;
Wenn man euch nun (den Gerichten) überliefert, so macht euch keine Sorge darüber, wie oder was ihr reden sollt; denn es wird euch in jener Stunde eingegeben werden, was ihr reden sollt;
20 for you are not the speakers, but the Spirit of your Father that is speaking in you.
nicht ihr seid es ja, die dann reden, sondern der Geist eures Vaters ist es, der in euch redet.
21 And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children will rise up against parents, and will put them to death,
Es wird aber ein Bruder den Bruder zum Tode überliefern und ein Vater den Sohn, und Kinder werden gegen ihre Eltern auftreten und sie zum Tode bringen,
22 and you will be hated by all because of My Name, but he who has endured to the end, he will be saved.
und ihr werdet allen um meines Namens willen verhaßt sein; wer aber ausharrt bis ans Ende, der wird errettet werden.
23 And whenever they may persecute you in this city, flee to the other, for truly I say to you, you may not have finished [going through] the cities of Israel until the Son of Man may come.
Wenn man euch aber in der einen Stadt verfolgt, so flieht in eine andere; denn wahrlich ich sage euch: Ihr werdet mit den Städten Israels noch nicht zu Ende sein, bis der Menschensohn kommt. –
24 A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his lord;
Ein Jünger steht nicht über seinem Meister und ein Knecht nicht über seinem Herrn;
25 sufficient to the disciple that he may be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord; if the master of the house they called Beelzebul, how much more those of his household?
ein Jünger muß zufrieden sein, wenn es ihm ergeht wie seinem Meister, und ein Knecht, (wenn es ihm ergeht) wie seinem Herrn. Haben sie den Hausherrn Beelzebul genannt, wieviel mehr werden sie das bei seinen Hausgenossen tun!«
26 You may not, therefore, fear them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hid that will not be known;
»Fürchtet euch nicht vor ihnen! Denn nichts ist verhüllt, das nicht enthüllt werden wird, und nichts verborgen, das nicht bekannt werden wird.
27 that which I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light, and that which you hear at the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
Was ich euch im Dunkel sage, das sprecht im Licht aus, und was ihr (von mir) ins Ohr geflüstert hört, das ruft auf den Dächern aus!
28 And do not be afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Fürchtet euch dabei nicht vor denen, die wohl den Leib töten, aber die Seele nicht zu töten vermögen; fürchtet euch vielmehr vor dem, der die Macht hat, sowohl die Seele als den Leib in der Hölle zu verderben! – (Geenna g1067)
29 Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them will not fall on the ground without your Father;
Kosten nicht zwei Sperlinge beim Einkauf nur ein paar Pfennige? Und doch fällt keiner von ihnen auf die Erde ohne den Willen eures Vaters.
30 and of you—even the hairs of the head are all numbered;
Bei euch aber sind auch die Haare auf dem Haupte alle gezählt.
31 therefore, do not be afraid, you are better than many sparrows.
Darum fürchtet euch nicht! Ihr seid mehr wert als viele Sperlinge. –
32 Everyone, therefore, who will confess in Me before men, I also will confess in him before My Father who is in the heavens;
Jeder nun, der sich vor den Menschen zu mir bekennt, zu dem werde auch ich mich vor meinem himmlischen Vater bekennen;
33 and whoever will deny Me before men, I also will deny him before My Father who is in the heavens.
wer mich aber vor den Menschen verleugnet, den werde auch ich vor meinem himmlischen Vater verleugnen.«
34 You may not suppose that I came to put peace on the earth; I did not come to put peace, but a sword;
»Denkt nicht, ich sei gekommen, um Frieden auf die Erde zu bringen! Nein, ich bin nicht gekommen, um Frieden zu bringen, sondern das Schwert.
35 for I came to set a man at variance against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,
Denn ich bin gekommen, ›um den Sohn mit seinem Vater, die Tochter mit ihrer Mutter und die Schwiegertochter mit ihrer Schwiegermutter zu entzweien,
36 and the enemies of a man are those of his household.
und die eigenen Hausgenossen werden einander feindselig gegenüberstehen‹.
37 He who is cherishing father or mother above Me, is not worthy of Me, and he who is cherishing son or daughter above Me, is not worthy of Me,
Wer Vater oder Mutter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht wert, und wer Sohn oder Tochter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht wert;
38 and whoever does not receive his cross and follow after Me, is not worthy of Me.
und wer nicht sein Kreuz auf sich nimmt und mir nachfolgt, ist meiner nicht wert. –
39 He who found his life will lose it, and he who lost his life for My sake will find it.
Wer sein Leben findet, wird es verlieren, und wer sein Leben um meinetwillen verliert, der wird es finden.«
40 He who is receiving you receives Me, and he who is receiving Me receives Him who sent Me;
»Wer euch aufnimmt, nimmt mich auf, und wer mich aufnimmt, nimmt den auf, der mich gesandt hat.
41 he who is receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet, will receive a prophet’s reward, and he who is receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, will receive a righteous man’s reward,
Wer einen Propheten aufnimmt, eben weil er ein Prophet heißt, der wird dafür den Lohn eines Propheten empfangen; und wer einen Gerechten aufnimmt, eben weil er ein Gerechter heißt, der wird dafür den Lohn eines Gerechten empfangen;
42 and whoever may give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he may not lose his reward.”
und wer einem von diesen geringen Leuten seines Namens wegen, weil er ein Jünger heißt, auch nur einen Becher frischen Wassers zu trinken gibt – wahrlich ich sage euch: Es soll ihm nicht unbelohnt bleiben!«
