Matthew 1
1 [The] scroll of the birth of Jesus Christ, Son of David, Son of Abraham.
௧ஆபிரகாமின் மகனாகிய தாவீதின் குமாரனான இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் வம்சவரலாறு:
2 Abraham begot Isaac, and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers,
௨ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கைப் பெற்றான்; ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபைப் பெற்றான்; யாக்கோபு யூதாவையும் அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களையும் பெற்றான்;
3 and Judah begot Perez and Zerah of Tamar, and Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram,
௩யூதா பாரேசையும் சாராவையும் தாமாரினிடத்தில் பெற்றான்; பாரேஸ் எஸ்ரோமைப் பெற்றான்; எஸ்ரோம் ஆராமைப் பெற்றான்;
4 and Ram begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon,
௪ஆராம் அம்மினதாபைப் பெற்றான்; அம்மினதாப் நகசோனைப் பெற்றான்; நகசோன் சல்மோனைப் பெற்றான்;
5 and Salmon begot Boaz of Rahab, and Boaz begot Obed of Ruth, and Obed begot Jesse,
௫சல்மோன் போவாசை ராகாபினிடத்தில் பெற்றான்; போவாஸ் ஓபேத்தை ரூத்தினிடத்தில் பெற்றான்; ஓபேத் ஈசாயைப் பெற்றான்;
6 and Jesse begot David the king. And David the king begot Solomon, of her [who had been] Uriah’s,
௬ஈசாய் தாவீது ராஜாவைப் பெற்றான்; தாவீது ராஜா உரியாவின் மனைவியாக இருந்தவளிடத்தில் சாலொமோனைப் பெற்றான்;
7 and Solomon begot Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa,
௭சாலொமோன் ரெகொபெயாமைப் பெற்றான்; ரெகொபெயாம் அபியாவைப் பெற்றான்; அபியா ஆசாவைப் பெற்றான்;
8 and Asa begot Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah,
௮ஆசா யோசபாத்தைப் பெற்றான்; யோசபாத் யோராமைப் பெற்றான்; யோராம் உசியாவைப் பெற்றான்;
9 and Uzziah begot Jotham, and Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah,
௯உசியா யோதாமைப் பெற்றான்; யோதாம் ஆகாஸைப் பெற்றான்; ஆகாஸ் எசேக்கியாவைப் பெற்றான்;
10 and Hezekiah begot Manasseh, and Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah,
௧0எசேக்கியா மனாசேயைப் பெற்றான்; மனாசே ஆமோனைப் பெற்றான்; ஆமோன் யோசியாவைப் பெற்றான்;
11 and Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers, at the Babylonian removal.
௧௧பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப் போகும்காலத்தில், யோசியா எகொனியாவையும் அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களையும் பெற்றான்.
12 And after the Babylonian removal, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel,
௧௨பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப் போனபின்பு, எகொனியா சலாத்தியேலைப் பெற்றான்; சலாத்தியேல் செருபாபேலைப் பெற்றான்;
13 and Zerubbabel begot Abiud, and Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor,
௧௩செருபாபேல் அபியூதைப் பெற்றான்; அபியூத் எலியாக்கீமைப் பெற்றான்; எலியாக்கீம் ஆசோரைப் பெற்றான்;
14 and Azor begot Sadok, and Sadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud,
௧௪ஆசோர் சாதோக்கைப் பெற்றான்; சாதோக்கு ஆகீமைப் பெற்றான்; ஆகீம் எலியூதைப் பெற்றான்;
15 and Eliud begot Eleazar, and Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob,
௧௫எலியூத் எலெயாசாரைப் பெற்றான்; எலெயாசார் மாத்தானைப் பெற்றான்; மாத்தான் யாக்கோபைப் பெற்றான்;
16 and Jacob begot Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was begotten Jesus, who is named Christ.
௧௬யாக்கோபு மரியாளுடைய புருஷனாகிய யோசேப்பைப் பெற்றான்; மரியாளிடத்தில் கிறிஸ்து எனப்படுகிற இயேசு பிறந்தார்.
17 All the generations, therefore, from Abraham to David [are] fourteen generations, and from David to the Babylonian removal fourteen generations, and from the Babylonian removal to the Christ, fourteen generations.
௧௭இவ்விதமாக உண்டான தலைமுறைகளெல்லாம் ஆபிரகாம்முதல் தாவீதுவரைக்கும் பதினாலு தலைமுறைகளும்; தாவீதுமுதல் பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன காலம்வரைக்கும் பதினாலு தலைமுறைகளும்; பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன காலம்முதல் கிறிஸ்துவரைக்கும் பதினான்கு தலைமுறைகளாகும்.
18 And of Jesus Christ, the birth was thus: for His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, before their coming together she was found to have conceived from the Holy Spirit,
௧௮இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய பிறப்பின் விபரமாவது: அவருடைய தாயாகிய மரியாள் யோசேப்புக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் இணைவதற்குமுன்பே, அவள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே கர்ப்பவதியானாள் என்று காணப்பட்டது.
19 and her husband Joseph being righteous, and not willing to make her an example, resolved to send her away privately.
௧௯அவள் கணவனாகிய யோசேப்பு நீதிமானாக இருந்து, அவளை அவமானப்படுத்த விருப்பமில்லாமல், இரகசியமாக அவளை விவாகரத்துசெய்ய யோசனையாக இருந்தான்.
20 And on his thinking of these things, behold, a messenger of the LORD appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, you may not fear to receive your wife Mary, for that which was begotten in her is of [the] Holy Spirit,
௨0அவன் இப்படி நினைத்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கும்போது, கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் கனவில் அவனுக்குக் காணப்பட்டு: “தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய யோசேப்பே, உன் மனைவியாகிய மரியாளைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள பயப்படாதே; அவளிடத்தில் கருவுற்றிருக்கிறது பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் உண்டானது.
21 and she will bring forth a Son, and you will call His Name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
௨௧அவள் ஒரு மகனைப் பெறுவாள், அவருக்கு இயேசு என்று பெயரிடுவாயாக; ஏனென்றால், அவர் தமது மக்களின் பாவங்களை நீக்கி அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார்” என்றான்.
22 And all this has come to pass, that it may be fulfilled that was spoken by the LORD through the prophet, saying,
௨௨தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாகக் கர்த்தராலே உரைக்கப்பட்டது நிறைவேறும்படி இதெல்லாம் நடந்தது.
23 “Behold, the virgin will conceive, and she will bring forth a Son, and they will call His Name Emmanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”
௨௩அவன்: “இதோ, ஒரு கன்னிகை கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு மகனைப் பெறுவாள்; அவருக்கு இம்மானுவேல் என்று பெயரிடுவார்கள்” என்று சொன்னான். இம்மானுவேல் என்பதற்கு தேவன் நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார் என்று அர்த்தம்.
24 And Joseph, having risen from sleep, did as the messenger of the LORD directed him, and received his wife,
௨௪யோசேப்பு தூக்கம் தெளிந்து எழுந்து, கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே தன் மனைவியைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு;
25 and did not know her until she brought forth her Son—the firstborn, and he called His Name Jesus.
௨௫அவள் தன் முதற்பேறான மகனைப் பெற்றெடுக்கும் வரை அவளோடு இணையாமலிருந்து, அவருக்கு இயேசு என்று பெயரிட்டான்.
