Mark 2
1 And again He entered into Capernaum, after [some] days, and it was heard that He is in the house,
Og nogen dager derefter gikk han atter inn i Kapernaum, og det spurtes at han var hjemme.
2 and immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door, and He was speaking to them the word.
Og mange samlet sig, så de ikke lenger fikk rum, ikke engang ved døren, og han talte ordet til dem.
3 And they come to Him, bringing a paralytic, carried by four,
Og de kom til ham med en verkbrudden, som blev båret av fire mann;
4 and not being able to come near to Him because of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where He was, and having broken [it] up, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying,
og da de ikke kunde komme frem til ham for folketrengselen, tok de taket av der hvor han var, og brøt hull og firte ned sengen som den verkbrudne lå på.
5 and Jesus having seen their faith, says to the paralytic, “Child, your sins have been forgiven you.”
Og da Jesus så deres tro, sa han til den verkbrudne: Sønn! dine synder er dig forlatt.
6 And there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
Men nogen skriftlærde satt der og tenkte i sine hjerter:
7 “Why does this One thus speak evil words? Who is able to forgive sins except one—God?”
Hvorfor taler denne mann så? Han spotter Gud; hvem kan forlate synder uten en, det er Gud?
8 And immediately Jesus, having known in His spirit that they thus reason in themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
Og Jesus kjente straks i sin ånd at de tenkte så ved sig selv, og han sa til dem: Hvorfor tenker I slikt i eders hjerter?
9 Which is easier? To say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Rise, and take up your pallet, and walk?
Hvad er lettest, enten å si til den verkbrudne: Dine synder er dig forlatt, eller å si: Stå op og ta din seng og gå?
10 And that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins—(He says to the paralytic)—
Men forat I skal vite at Menneskesønnen har makt på jorden til å forlate synder - så sier han til den verkbrudne:
11 I say to you, rise, and take up your pallet, and go away to your house”;
Jeg sier dig: Stå op og ta din seng og gå hjem til ditt hus!
12 and he rose immediately, and having taken up the pallet, he went forth before all, so that all were astonished, and glorify God, saying, “Never thus did we see.”
Og han stod op og tok straks sin seng og gikk ut for alles øine, så alle blev ute av sig selv av forundring og priste Gud og sa: Slikt har vi aldri sett.
13 And He went forth again by the sea, and all the multitude was coming to Him, and He was teaching them,
Og han gikk atter ut til sjøen, og alt folket kom til ham, og han lærte dem.
14 and passing by, He saw Levi of Alpheus sitting at the tax office, and says to him, “Follow Me,” and he, having risen, followed Him.
Og da han gikk videre, så han Levi, Alfeus' sønn, sitte på tollboden, og han sa til ham: Følg mig! Og han stod op og fulgte ham.
15 And it came to pass, in His reclining in his house, that many tax collectors and sinners were dining with Jesus and His disciples, for there were many, and they followed Him.
Og det skjedde at han satt til bords i hans hus; og mange toldere og syndere satt til bords med Jesus og hans disipler; for det var mange av dem, og de fulgte ham.
16 And the scribes and the Pharisees, having seen Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, said to His disciples, “Why—that with the tax collectors and sinners He eats and drinks?”
Og da de skriftlærde og fariseerne så at han åt sammen med toldere og syndere, sa de til hans disipler: Han eter og drikker med toldere og syndere!
17 And Jesus, having heard, says to them, “They who are strong have no need of a physician, but they who are ill; I did not come to call righteous men, but sinners.”
Og da Jesus hørte det, sa han til dem: De friske trenger ikke til læge, men de som har ondt; jeg er ikke kommet for å kalle rettferdige, men for å kalle syndere.
18 And the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees were fasting, and they come and say to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees fast, and Your disciples do not fast?”
Og Johannes' og fariseernes disipler holdt faste, og de kom og sa til ham: Hvorfor faster Johannes' disipler og fariseernes disipler, men dine disipler faster ikke?
19 And Jesus said to them, “Are the sons of the bride-chamber able, while the bridegroom is with them, to fast? As long a time [as] they have the bridegroom with them they are not able to fast;
Og Jesus sa til dem: Kan vel brudesvennene faste så lenge brudgommen er hos dem? Så lenge de har brudgommen hos sig, kan de ikke faste.
20 but days will come when the bridegroom may be taken from them, and then they will fast—in those days.
Men de dager skal komme da brudgommen blir tatt fra dem, og da skal de faste, på den dag.
21 And no one sews a patch of undressed cloth on an old garment, and if not—the new, filling it up, takes from the old and the split becomes worse;
Ingen syr en lapp av ukrympet tøi på et gammelt klædebon, ellers river den nye lapp et stykke med sig av det gamle, og riften blir verre.
22 and no one puts new wine into old skins, and if not—the new wine bursts the skins, and the wine is poured out, and the skins will be destroyed; but new wine is to be put into new skins.”
Og ingen fyller ny vin i gamle skinnsekker; ellers vil vinen sprenge sekkene og vinen spilles og sekkene ødelegges; men ny vin i nye skinnsekker!
23 And it came to pass—He is going along on the Sabbaths through the grainfields—and His disciples began to make a way, plucking the ears,
Og det skjedde at han gikk igjennem en aker på sabbaten, og hans disipler begynte å plukke aks mens de gikk der.
24 and the Pharisees said to Him, “Behold, why do they do on the Sabbaths that which is not lawful?”
Og fariseerne sa til ham: Se, hvorfor gjør de på sabbaten det som ikke er tillatt?
25 And He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry, he and those with him?
Og han sa til dem: Har I aldri lest hvad David gjorde da han var i nød og sultet, han selv og de som var med ham,
26 How he went into the house of God, in [the days of] Abiathar the chief priest, and ate the Bread of the Presentation, which it is not lawful to eat, except to the priests, and he also gave to those who were with him?”
hvorledes han gikk inn i Guds hus, da Abjatar var yppersteprest, og åt skuebrødene, som ingen har lov til å ete uten prestene, og gav også dem som var med ham?
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath,
Og han sa til dem: Sabbaten blev til for menneskets skyld, og ikke mennesket for sabbatens skyld.
28 so that the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
Så er da Menneskesønnen herre også over sabbaten.
