Mark 15
1 And immediately, in the morning, the chief priests having made a consultation with the elders, and scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin, having bound Jesus, led [Him] away, and delivered [Him] to Pilate;
Temprano, a la mañana siguiente, los jefes de los sacerdotes, los ancianos y los maestros religiosos—todo el concilio de gobierno—tomaron una decisión. Dieron la orden de que fuera atado y entregado a Pilato.
2 and Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answering said to him, “You say [it].”
Pilato le preguntó: “¿Eres tú el rey de los judíos?” “Tú lo has dicho”, respondió Jesús.
3 And the chief priests were accusing Him of many things, [but He answered nothing.]
El jefe de los sacerdotes presentó muchas acusaciones contra él.
4 And Pilate again questioned Him, saying, “You do not answer anything? Behold, how many things they testify against You!”
Y Pilato le preguntó una vez más: “¿No vas a responder? ¡Mira cuántas acusaciones están presentando contra ti!”
5 And Jesus no longer answered anything, so that Pilate wondered.
Pero Jesús no dio más respuestas, para sorpresa de Pilato.
6 And at every celebration he was releasing to them one prisoner, whomsoever they were asking for;
Y Pilato tenía la costumbre de liberar a un prisionero durante la Pascua, a quien el pueblo pidiera.
7 and there was [one] named Barabbas, bound with those making insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
Y uno de los prisioneros era un hombre llamado Barrabás, quien pertenecía a un grupo de rebeldes que había cometido asesinatos durante una revuelta.
8 And the multitude having cried out, began to ask for themselves as he was always doing to them,
La multitud fue donde Pilato y le pidieron que liberara a un prisionero como era su costumbre.
9 and Pilate answered them, saying, “Will you [that] I will release to you the King of the Jews?”
“¿Quieren que libere al Rey de los judíos?” les preguntó,
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him up because of envy;
pues él se había dado cuenta de que era por celos que los jefes de los sacerdotes le habían entregado a Jesús.
11 and the chief priests moved the multitude that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
Pero los jefes de los sacerdotes causaron revuelo entre la multitud para que pidieran la liberación de Barrabás.
12 And Pilate answering, again said to them, “What, then, will you [that] I will do to Him whom you call King of the Jews?”
“¿Entonces qué debo hacer con el que ustedes llaman Rey de los judíos?” les preguntó.
13 And they again cried out, “Crucify Him!”
“¡Crucifícalo!” gritaron en respuesta.
14 And Pilate said to them, “Why—what evil did He do?” And they cried out the more vehemently, “Crucify Him!”
“¿Por qué? ¿Qué crimen ha cometido?” les preguntó Pilato. “¡Crucifícalo!” respondieron, gritando más fuerte aún.
15 And Pilate, resolving to do that which [was] satisfactory to the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and delivered up Jesus—having scourged [Him]—that He might be crucified.
Por complacer a la turba, Pilato liberó a Barrabás. Primero mandó a azotar a Jesús y luego lo entregó para que lo crucificaran.
16 And the soldiers led Him away into the hall, which is [the] Praetorium, and call together the whole band,
Entonces los soldados se lo llevaron al patio del Pretorio, donde llamaron a toda la cohorte.
17 and clothe Him with purple, and having plaited a garland of thorns, they put [it] on Him,
Le pusieron una bata de color púrpura e hicieron una corona de espinos, la cual pusieron sobre su cabeza.
18 and began to greet Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
Entonces lo saludaban, diciendo: “¡Salve, Rey de los judíos!”
19 And they were striking Him on the head with a reed, and were spitting on Him, and having bent the knee, were prostrating to Him,
Y repetidas veces lo golpearon en la cabeza con una vara, lo escupían y se arrodillaban delante de él como si lo adorasen.
20 and when they [had] mocked Him, they took the purple from off Him, and clothed Him in His own garments, and they led Him forth, that they may crucify Him.
Después que terminaron de burlarse de él, le quitaron la bata púrpura, y le volvieron a colocar su ropa. Entonces se lo llevaron para crucificarlo.
21 And they impress a certain one passing by—Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus—that he may carry His cross,
Obligaron a un hombre que pasaba por allí, llamado Simón de Cirene, quien venía del campo, para que cargara la cruz de Jesús. Simón era el Padre de Alejandro y Rufo.
22 and they bring Him to the place [called] Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, “Place of [the] Skull”;
Y trajeron a Jesús al lugar llamado Gólgota, que significa “el lugar de la Calavera”.
23 and they were giving Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, and He did not receive [it].
Allí le ofrecieron vino mezclado con mirra, pero él se negó a beberlo.
24 And having crucified Him, they were dividing His garments, casting a lot on them, what each may take;
Entonces lo crucificaron. Repartieron sus prendas de vestir, y lanzaron dados para decidir quién se llevaría cada cosa.
25 and it was the third hour, and they crucified Him;
Eran las nueve de la mañana cuando lo crucificaron.
26 and the inscription of His accusation was written above: “THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
La acusación escrita en su contra decía: “El Rey de los judíos”.
27 And they crucify two robbers with Him, one on the right hand and one on His left,
Con él crucificaron a dos criminales, uno a su izquierda y otro a su derecha.
28 [[and the Writing was fulfilled that is saying, “And He was numbered with lawless ones.”]]
29 And those passing by were slandering Him, shaking their heads, and saying, “Ha! The [One] throwing down the temple, and building [it] in three days!
Y la gente que pasaba por allí le gritaba con insultos, sacudiendo sus cabezas y diciendo: “¡Oye, tu! Tú que decías que ibas a destruir el Templo y reconstruirlo en tres días:
30 Save Yourself, and come down from the cross!”
¡Sálvate a ti mismo y baja de la cruz!”
31 And in like manner also the chief priests, mocking with one another, with the scribes, said, “He saved others; He is not able to save Himself.
De igual modo los jefes de los sacerdotes y los maestros religiosos se burlaban de él, diciendo: “Salvó a otros, pero no puede salvarse a sí mismo.
32 The Christ! The King of Israel—let Him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe”; and those crucified with Him were reproaching Him.
Si él realmente es el Mesías, el Rey de Israel, ¿por qué, entonces, no baja de la cruz para que podemos ver y creerle?” Incluso los que estaban crucificados con él lo insultaban.
33 And the sixth hour having come, darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour,
A medio día hubo una gran oscuridad en toda la tierra que duró hasta las tres de la tarde.
34 and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a great voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani?” Which is, being interpreted, “My God, My God, why did You forsake Me?”
A las tres de la tarde Jesús gritó: “Elí, Elí, lema sabactani”, que quiere decir: “Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado?”
35 And certain of those standing by, having heard, said, “Behold, He calls Elijah”;
Y algunos de los que estaban allí oyeron esto y dijeron: “Está llamando a Elías”.
36 and one having run, and having filled a sponge with vinegar, having also put [it] on a reed, was giving Him to drink, saying, “Let alone, let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”
Un hombre corrió y llenó una esponja con vinagre, la puso en un palo y trató de dárselo a Jesús para que lo bebiera. “¡Déjenlo en paz!”, dijo. “Veamos si Elías vendrá a bajarlo de ahí”.
37 And Jesus having uttered a loud cry, yielded the spirit,
Entonces Jesús gimió fuertemente, y murió.
38 and the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom,
El velo del Templo se rompió de arriba a abajo.
39 and the centurion who was standing opposite Him, having seen that, having so cried out, He yielded the spirit, said, “Truly this Man was [the] Son of God.”
Cuando el centurión que estaba frente a Jesús vio cómo murió, dijo: “Este hombre era de verdad el Hijo de Dios”.
40 And there were also women beholding far off, among whom was also Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome,
Había algunas mujeres mirando a la distancia, incluyendo a María Magdalena, María la madre de Santiago (el menor) y José, y Salomé.
41 who also, when He was in Galilee, were following Him and were ministering to Him, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.
Ellas habían seguido a Jesús y habían cuidado de él mientras estuvo en Galilea. Muchas otras mujeres que habían venido con él a Jerusalén también estaban allí.
42 And now evening having come, seeing it was the Preparation, that is, before Sabbath,
Era viernes, el día antes del sábado. Cuando llegó la noche,
43 Joseph of Arimathea, an honorable counselor, who also himself was waiting for the Kingdom of God, came, boldly entered in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
José de Arimatea, quien era miembro del concilio de gobierno, y que esperaba el reino de Dios, tuvo la valentía de ir donde Pilato y pedirle el cuerpo de Jesús.
44 And Pilate wondered if He were already dead, and having called near the centurion, questioned him if He were long dead,
Pilato se sorprendió al saber que Jesús había muerto tan pronto, así que mandó a llamar al centurión y le preguntó si Jesús ya había muerto.
45 and having known [it] from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
Después de tener la confirmación del centurión, Pilato le dio permiso a José de tomar el cuerpo.
46 And he, having brought fine linen, and having taken Him down, wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a tomb that had been hewn out of a rock, and he rolled a stone to the door of the tomb,
José compró una sábana de lino. Luego bajó el cuerpo de Jesús de la cruz y lo envolvió en la sábana, y lo colocó en una tumba que había sido elaborada a partir de una piedra. Después rodó y colocó una piedra pesada en la entrada de la tumba.
47 and Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of Joses, were beholding where He is laid.
María Magdalena y María, la madre de José, estaban mirando dónde habían colocado a Jesús.
