< Mark 15 >
1 And immediately, in the morning, the chief priests having made a consultation with the elders, and scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin, having bound Jesus, led [Him] away, and delivered [Him] to Pilate;
2 and Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answering said to him, “You say [it].”
3 And the chief priests were accusing Him of many things, [but He answered nothing.]
Bapurisita bakulwana ba bali ku hambiza Jesu milandu mingi.
4 And Pilate again questioned Him, saying, “You do not answer anything? Behold, how many things they testify against You!”
Hape Pilato cha mubuza, “Ko ni tabi? Bone milandu ku bungi yi ba leta ni ku ku hambiliza!”
5 And Jesus no longer answered anything, so that Pilate wondered.
Kono Jesu kana abali ku chi mwi taba Pilato, mi iyo ndaba ni ya mukomokisa.
6 And at every celebration he was releasing to them one prisoner, whomsoever they were asking for;
Linu mu inako ya mukiti, Pilato a vali ku lukululanga kuvantu chifosi cho nke, chifosi chi vavali ku li kumbililanga.
7 and there was [one] named Barabbas, bound with those making insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 And the multitude having cried out, began to ask for themselves as he was always doing to them,
Vungi vwa vantu chi vweza kwa Pilato mi chi va tangisa ku mu kumbila ku va pangila sina mwa va pangililanga inako yonse.
9 and Pilate answered them, saying, “Will you [that] I will release to you the King of the Jews?”
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him up because of envy;
11 and the chief priests moved the multitude that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
Kono vapurista vakulwana chi va shongeleketa vungi vwa vantu kuhuwa ahulu kuti Vanavasi a lukululwe.
12 And Pilate answering, again said to them, “What, then, will you [that] I will do to Him whom you call King of the Jews?”
13 And they again cried out, “Crucify Him!”
Chiva huwereza hape, “Mu kokotele!”
14 And Pilate said to them, “Why—what evil did He do?” And they cried out the more vehemently, “Crucify Him!”
15 And Pilate, resolving to do that which [was] satisfactory to the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and delivered up Jesus—having scourged [Him]—that He might be crucified.
Ka kuti Pilato abali ku saka ku zuwisa hande vantu, mi cho ku lukulula Banabasi.
16 And the soldiers led Him away into the hall, which is [the] Praetorium, and call together the whole band,
Masole chi ba mutwala mukati ke ilapa (iri muleneñi wo muvuso), mi chi ba sumpila masole bonse hamwina.
17 and clothe Him with purple, and having plaited a garland of thorns, they put [it] on Him,
18 and began to greet Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
19 And they were striking Him on the head with a reed, and were spitting on Him, and having bent the knee, were prostrating to Him,
Ba ba kuchola mazwi abo habusu bwa kwe ku mukuteka.
20 and when they [had] mocked Him, they took the purple from off Him, and clothed Him in His own garments, and they led Him forth, that they may crucify Him.
Mi linu ha chi ba mana ku mushubula, chi ba mu chupula chi zwato chi subila ni ku mu zwatika za kwe zi zwato, mi linu chi ba mu zwisa ku mutwala ku ka mu kokotela.
21 And they impress a certain one passing by—Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus—that he may carry His cross,
22 and they bring Him to the place [called] Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, “Place of [the] Skull”;
Masole chi ba twala Jesu ha cibaka chi sumpwa Gologota (i talusa kuti Cibaka cha katendere).
23 and they were giving Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, and He did not receive [it].
24 And having crucified Him, they were dividing His garments, casting a lot on them, what each may take;
25 and it was the third hour, and they crucified Him;
I bali ke nako ya butatu ha ba mu kokotela.
26 and the inscription of His accusation was written above: “THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
27 And they crucify two robbers with Him, one on the right hand and one on His left,
Ku ba kokotelwe naye basa bobele, umwina ku malyo mi zumwi ku ma monso akwe.
28 [[and the Writing was fulfilled that is saying, “And He was numbered with lawless ones.”]]
29 And those passing by were slandering Him, shaking their heads, and saying, “Ha! The [One] throwing down the temple, and building [it] in three days!
Avo vava kuhita vavali ku mutuka, ni va nyunga mwi twi yavo mi ni vati, “Ehe! U vali kuti no va lutununi itempele ni kui zaka hape mu ma zuva o tatwe,
30 Save Yourself, and come down from the cross!”
U lihaze u mwine mi uzwe u suke ha chifapano!”
31 And in like manner also the chief priests, mocking with one another, with the scribes, said, “He saved others; He is not able to save Himself.
Mu nzila iswana vapurisita vakulwana va vali ku mushuvula mukaati kavo navo, hamwina ni vañoli ni va cho, “A vali kuhaza vamwi, kono iye ka lihazi mwine.
32 The Christ! The King of Israel—let Him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe”; and those crucified with Him were reproaching Him.
Musiye Kilesite, Simwine wa Isilaele a zwe a suke ha chifapano hwa hanu, kuti tu mu vone mi tu zumine.” Mi va va kokotelwe naye na vo va vali ku mu sheununa.
33 And the sixth hour having come, darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour,
34 and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a great voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani?” Which is, being interpreted, “My God, My God, why did You forsake Me?”
I talusa kuti, Ireeza Wangu, Ireeza wangu, Wani siila nzi?”
35 And certain of those standing by, having heard, said, “Behold, He calls Elijah”;
36 and one having run, and having filled a sponge with vinegar, having also put [it] on a reed, was giving Him to drink, saying, “Let alone, let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”
Zumwi cha tiya, ku kahinda chiponchi ku chitila i waine i chanchumuka, cha chi bika ku mpela ya luhe, mi chi ku muha kuti a nywe. Uzo muntu cha wamba kuti, “Musiye! tubone kamba Elia ukezite kwiza ku mu hangula.”
37 And Jesus having uttered a loud cry, yielded the spirit,
Mi Jesu cha huwa ka linzwi li zuweka ahulu mi cho kufwa.
38 and the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom,
Isira lya mu itempele chi lya haluka tobele kutangiseza ku iwulu kutwala hansi.
39 and the centurion who was standing opposite Him, having seen that, having so cried out, He yielded the spirit, said, “Truly this Man was [the] Son of God.”
Mi muyendisi we chisole ya ba zimine na lolete Jesu, ha vona kuti wa fwa mweyi nzila, cha wamba, “Cha Vuniti uzu mukwame ivali mwana we Ireeza.”
40 And there were also women beholding far off, among whom was also Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome,

41 who also, when He was in Galilee, were following Him and were ministering to Him, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.
42 And now evening having come, seeing it was the Preparation, that is, before Sabbath,

43 Joseph of Arimathea, an honorable counselor, who also himself was waiting for the Kingdom of God, came, boldly entered in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
44 And Pilate wondered if He were already dead, and having called near the centurion, questioned him if He were long dead,
45 and having known [it] from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
46 And he, having brought fine linen, and having taken Him down, wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a tomb that had been hewn out of a rock, and he rolled a stone to the door of the tomb,
Josefa a va li ku wulite masira e lineni. Cha muzwisa ha chifapano, ni ku mu bungila mumasira e lineni, mi chi ku mulalika mu ikumbu lya ba chakuile mu mavwe. Linu cha pindumwina ibwe mu mulyango we ikumbu.
