< Mark 11 >

1 And when they come near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage, and Bethany, to the Mount of Olives, He sends forth two of His disciples,
Bathi sebesondele eJerusalema bafika eBhethifage leBhethani eNtabeni yama-Oliva. UJesu wathuma abafundi bakhe ababili
2 and says to them, “Go away into the village that is in front of you, and immediately, entering into it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men has sat, having loosed it, bring [it]:
wathi kubo, “Yanini emzini ophambi kwenu, okuzakuthi nxa lingena kuwo lizabona inkonyane kababhemi engakaze igadwe muntu ibotshelwe khonapho. Ikhululeni liyilethe lapha.
3 and if anyone may say to you, Why do you do this? Say that the LORD has need of it, and immediately He will send it here.”
Nxa kungaba lozalibuza ukuthi, ‘Likwenzeleni lokho na?’ limtshele ukuthi, ‘INkosi iyalifuna, izalibuyisa masinyane.’”
4 And they went away, and found the colt tied at the door outside, by the two ways, and they loose it,
Bahamba bathola inkonyane kababhemi phandle maqondana lomnyango ibotshelwe. Bayikhulula,
5 and certain of those standing there said to them, “What do you—loosing the colt?”
abantu ababemi khonapho babuza bathi, “Lenzani, liyikhululelani inkonyane leyo na?”
6 And they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they permitted them.
Baphendula njengoba uJesu wayebatshelile, abantu basebebayekela bahamba.
7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on it, and He sat on it,
Sebelilethile ithole kuJesu bendlala amajazi abo phezu kwalo uJesu waseligada.
8 and many spread their garments in the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way.
Abantu abanengi bendlala amajazi abo endleleni, kukanti abanye bendlala ingatsha abaziqamula emasimini.
9 And those going before and those following were crying out, saying, “Hosanna! Blessed [is] He who is coming in the Name of the LORD;
Labo ababehamba phambili lalabo ababelandela bamemeza besithi, “Hosana!” “Ubusisiwe lowo obuya ngebizo leNkosi!”
10 blessed is the coming kingdom, in the Name of the LORD, of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!”
“Ubusisiwe umbuso ozayo okababa wethu uDavida!” “Hosana ezulwini eliphezulu!”
11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked around on all things, it being now evening, He went forth to Bethany with the Twelve.
UJesu wangena eJerusalema waya ethempelini. Wathalaza wakhangela konke, kodwa kwathi ngoba kwasekuhlwile wehlela eBhethani labalitshumi lambili.
12 And on the next day, they having come forth from Bethany, He hungered,
Ngelanga elilandelayo bathi besuka eBhethani uJesu wayeselambile.
13 and having seen a fig tree far off having leaves, He came, if perhaps He will find anything in it, and having come to it, He found nothing except leaves, for it was not a time of figs,
Wabona bucwadlana isihlahla somkhiwa sihlumile amahlamvu, wasondela ukuyabona ingabe sasilezithelo yini. Wafika wabona kungamahlamvu kuphela ngoba kwakungasiso isikhathi sezithelo zomkhiwa.
14 and Jesus answering said to it, “No longer from you—throughout the age—may any eat fruit”; and His disciples were hearing. (aiōn g165)
Wasesithi esihlahleni, “Akungabi lamuntu lanini ozaphinda adle izithelo zakho.” Abafundi bakhe bamuzwa esitsho lokho. (aiōn g165)
15 And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and He overthrew the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves,
Bathi befika eJerusalema uJesu wangena egumeni lethempeli wafika wabaxotsha labo ababethenga lababethengisa khona. Wagenqula amatafula abantshintshi bezimali lezihlalo zababethengisa amajuba,
16 and He did not permit that any might carry a vessel through the temple,
kaze avumela muntu ukungenisa okuthengiswayo ezindlini zethempeli.
17 and He was teaching, saying to them, “Has it not been written: My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations? And you made it a den of robbers!”
Wathi esabafundisa wathi, “Kakulotshwanga yini ukuthi: ‘Indlu yami izabizwa ngokuthi yindlu yokukhuleka ezizweni zonke’? Kodwa lina seliyenze ‘ubhalu lwabaphangi.’”
18 And the scribes and the chief priests heard, and they were seeking how they will destroy Him, for they were afraid of Him, because all the multitude was astonished at His teaching;
Abaphristi abakhulu labafundisi bomthetho bakuzwa lokhu basebeqalisa ukudinga indlela yokumbulala, ngoba babemesaba ngoba ixuku lonke lalimangaliswa yikufundisa kwakhe.
19 and when evening came, He was going forth outside the city.
Kusihlwa baphuma edolobheni.
20 And in the morning, passing by, they saw the fig tree having been dried up from the roots,
Ekuseni babehambahamba basebebona isihlahla somkhiwa esasibunile kusukela empandeni.
21 and Peter having remembered says to Him, “Rabbi, behold, the fig tree that You cursed is dried up.”
UPhethro wakhumbula wasesithi kuJesu, “Rabi, khangela! Isihlahla somkhiwa owasiqalekisayo sibunile!”
22 And Jesus answering says to them, “Have faith from God;
UJesu waphendula wathi, “Woba lokholo kuNkulunkulu.
23 for truly I say to you that whoever may say to this mountain, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he says come to pass, it will be to him whatever he may say.
Ngilitshela iqiniso ukuthi nxa omunye esithi entabeni le, ‘Suka, ziphosele olwandle,’ engelakuthandabuza enhliziyweni yakhe, kodwa ekholwa ukuthi lokho akutshoyo kuzakwenzakala, kuzakwenziwa kuye.
24 Because of this I say to you, all whatever—praying—you ask, believe that you receive, and it will be to you.
Ngakho ngiyalitshela ukuthi loba kuyini elikucelayo ngomkhuleko, kholwani ukuthi selikwamukele, sekuzakuba ngokwenu.
25 And whenever you may stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, that your Father who is in the heavens may also forgive you your trespasses;
Njalo nxa lisima likhuleka, nxa lilesikhwili komunye, mthetheleleni, ukuze uYihlo ezulwini alithethelele izono zenu. [
26 [[and, if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your trespasses.”]]
Kodwa nxa lingathetheleli, loYihlo osezulwini kazukulithethelela izono zenu.]”
27 And they come again to Jerusalem, and in the temple, as He is walking, there come to Him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
Bafika njalo eJerusalema, kwathi uJesu ezihambela emagumeni ethempeli kweza kuye abaphristi abakhulu, labafundisi bomthetho kanye labadala.
28 and they say to Him, “By what authority do You do these things? And who gave You this authority that You may do these things?”
Bambuza bathi, “Konke lokhu ukwenza ngawaphi amandla na? Ngubani owakupha amandla okwenza lokhu?”
29 And Jesus answering said to them, “I will question you—I also—one word; and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things;
UJesu waphendula wathi, “Ngizalibuza umbuzo owodwa. Lingangiphendula ngizalitshela ukuthi ngizenza ngawaphi amandla lezizinto.
30 the immersion of John—was it from Heaven or from men? Answer Me.”
Ukubhaphathiza kukaJohane, kwakuvela ezulwini loba ebantwini? Ngitshelani!”
31 And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, “If we may say, From Heaven, He will say, Why then did you not believe him?
Bahlanganisa amakhanda bathi, Singathi, “‘Kwakuvela ezulwini,’ uzabuza athi, ‘Kungani lingazange limkholwe?’
32 But if we may say, From men…” They were fearing the people, for all were holding that John was indeed a prophet;
Kodwa singathi, ‘Kwakuvela ebantwini’ …” (Besaba abantu ngoba bonke babesithi ngeqiniso uJohane wayengumphrofethi.)
33 and answering they say to Jesus, “We have not known”; and Jesus answering says to them, “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
Ngakho bamphendula uJesu bathi, “Kasikwazi.” UJesu wathi, “Lami kangisalitsheli ukuthi izinto lezi ngizenza ngawaphi amandla.”
