1 And having risen from there, He comes to the coasts of Judea, through the other side of the Jordan, and again multitudes come together to Him, and as He had been accustomed, again He was teaching them.
ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲚⲒⲐⲞϢ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲒⲞⲨⲆⲈⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲒⲘⲎⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲒⲞⲢⲆⲀⲚⲎ ⲤⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲞⲚ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲎϢ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲦⲈϤⲤⲨⲚⲎⲐⲒⲀ ⲦⲈ ⲚⲀϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ
2 And the Pharisees, having come near, questioned Him if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting Him,
ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲨϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϨⲒ ⲦⲈϤⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲨⲈⲢⲠⲒⲢⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
3 and He answering said to them, “What did Moses command you?”
ⲅ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲀϤϨⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ.
4 And they said, “Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.”
ⲇ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ ⲈⲤϦⲈ ⲞⲨϪⲰⲘ ⲚⲤϦⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲬⲰ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
5 And Jesus answering said to them, “For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command,
ⲉ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲦⲚⲀϢⲦϨⲎ ⲦⲀϤⲤϦⲈ ⲦⲀⲒⲈⲚⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ.
6 but from the beginning of the creation God made them a male and a female;
ⲋ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲦⲀⲢⲬⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲰⲚⲦ ⲞⲨϨⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲠⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲞⲚⲦⲞⲨ
7 on this account will a man leave his father and mother, and will cleave to his wife,
ⲍ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲬⲀ ⲠⲈϤⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦⲈϤⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲈⲦⲞⲘϤ ⲈⲦⲈϤⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ
8 and they will be—the two—for one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh;
ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲠⲂ ⲈⲨⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ϨⲰⲤⲦⲈ ⲤⲈⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲞⲨⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ⲦⲈ
9 what God therefore joined together, do not let man separate.”
ⲑ̅ⲪⲎ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲦⲞⲘϤ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲐⲢⲈ ⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲪⲞⲢϪϤ.
10 And in the house His disciples again questioned Him of the same thing,
ⲓ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲎⲒ ⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϢⲈⲚϤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ.
11 and He says to them, “Whoever may put away his wife, and may marry another, commits adultery against her;
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲬ ⲀⲦⲈϤⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒ ⲚⲔⲈⲞⲨⲒ ϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲈϪⲰⲤ.
12 and if a woman may put away her husband, and is married to another, she commits adultery.”
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ϨⲰⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲤⲬⲀ ⲠⲈⲤϨⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲤϬⲒ ⲚⲔⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲤⲞⲒ ⲚⲚⲰⲒⲔ.
13 And they were bringing to Him children that He might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them,
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲀⲖⲰⲞⲨⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ.
14 and Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and He said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the Kingdom of God;
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀⲠⲈϤϨⲎⲦ ⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲬⲀ ⲚⲒⲀⲖⲰⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲦⲀϨⲚⲞ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲒ ⲐⲀ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲦⲈ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪϮ
15 truly I say to you, whoever may not receive the Kingdom of God as a child—he may not enter into it”;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲈⲠ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲦ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲖⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ
16 and having taken them in His arms, having put [His] hands on them, He was blessing them.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲚⲤⲰⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲬⲀ ϪⲒϪ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ.
17 And as He is going forth into the way, one having run and having kneeled to Him, was questioning Him, “Good Teacher, what may I do that I may inherit continuous life?” (aiōnios g166)
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲞⲨⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲀϤϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲀϤϨⲒⲦϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲔⲈⲖⲒ ⲚⲀϤϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲀⲄⲀⲐⲞⲤ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈϮⲚⲀⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲦⲀⲈⲢⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲚϦ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios g166)
18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good except one—God;
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ⲔϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲀⲄⲀⲐⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲀⲄⲀⲐⲞⲤ ⲈⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ.
19 you have known the commands: You may not commit adultery, You may not murder, You may not steal, You may not bear false witness, You may not defraud, Honor your father and mother.”
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲚⲒⲈⲚⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲔⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈⲢⲚⲰⲒⲔ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϬⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϤⲰϪⲒ ⲀⲢⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲔⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦⲈⲔⲘⲀⲨ.
20 And he answering said to Him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”
ⲕ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲒⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲦⲀⲘⲈⲦⲀⲖⲞⲨ.
21 And Jesus having looked on him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: go away, whatever you have—sell, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me, having taken up the cross.”
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀϤⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲔⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲔⲈⲢϦⲀⲈ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲘⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲘⲀ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲦⲀⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒϨⲎⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲔⲈϪⲪⲞ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲀϨⲞ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲀϨⲔ ⲚⲤⲰⲒ.
22 And he—gloomy at the word—went away sorrowing, for he was having many possessions.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲰⲔⲈⲘ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲚⲈϤϨⲎⲦ ⲘⲞⲔϨ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎ ϢⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϪⲪⲞ ⲚⲦⲀϤ ⲠⲈ.
23 And Jesus having looked around, says to His disciples, “How hardly will they who have riches enter into the Kingdom of God!”
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲰⲤ ⲤⲘⲞⲔϨ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲒⲬⲢⲎⲘⲀ ⲚⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
24 And the disciples were astonished at His words, and Jesus again answering says to them, “Children, how hard it is to those trusting on riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ⲠⲈ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲠⲰⲤ ⲤⲘⲞⲔϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ϨⲐⲎⲞⲨ ⲬⲎ ⲈϨⲀⲚⲬⲢⲎⲘⲀ ⲈⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
25 It is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲤⲘⲞⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨϬⲀⲘⲞⲨⲖ ⲈⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲀⲚⲐⲰⲢⲠ ⲒⲈ ⲞⲨⲢⲀⲘⲀⲞ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
26 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying to themselves, “And who is able to be saved?”
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ.
27 And Jesus, having looked on them, says, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦϪⲞⲘ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲦⲎ ⲢϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
28 And Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we left all, and we followed You.”
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲬⲀ ⲠⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲚⲤⲰⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲨⲀϨⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲤⲰⲔ.
29 And Jesus answering said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My sake, and for the good news’,
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲎⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲒⲈ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲒⲈ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲒⲈ ⲘⲀⲨ ⲒⲈ ⲒⲰⲦ ⲒⲈ ϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲒⲈ ⲒⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ.
30 who may not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming, continuous life; (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
ⲗ̅ⲀϤϢⲦⲈⲘϬⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲢ ⲚⲔⲰⲂ ⲚⲤⲞⲠ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ϨⲀⲚⲎⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲒⲞϨⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲆⲒⲰⲄⲘⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈⲰⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲰⲚϦ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 and many first will be last, and the last first.”
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ϨⲀⲚⲘⲎϢ ⲆⲈ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲈⲨⲈⲈⲢϦⲀⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϨⲀⲚϦⲀⲈⲨ ⲈⲨⲚⲀⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ.
32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them, and they were amazed, and following they were afraid. And having again taken the Twelve, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him:
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲚⲀⲨϨⲒ ⲪⲘⲰⲒⲦ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲨⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎ ⲒⲈⲒⲈⲢⲞⲤⲀⲖⲎⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲀϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ⲚⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢⲀⲔⲞⲖⲞⲨⲐⲒⲚ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲒⲂ ⲈⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ
33 “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the nations,
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲒⲖⲎ ⲘⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϮϨⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ
34 and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him, and the third day He will rise again.”
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲤⲰⲂⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϨⲒⲐⲀϤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲈⲢⲘⲀⲤⲦⲒⲄⲄⲞⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϦⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲄⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲰⲚϤ
35 And there come near to Him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, “Teacher, we wish that whatever we may ask for ourselves, You may do for us”;
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲰⲀⲚⲚⲎⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲌⲈⲂⲈⲆⲈⲞⲤ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲀⲚ.
36 and He said to them, “What do you wish Me to do for you?”
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀϢϤ ⲚⲦⲀⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ.
37 And they said to Him, “Grant to us that, one on Your right hand and one on Your left, we may sit in Your glory”;
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎⲒⲤ ⲚⲀⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲤⲀⲦⲈⲔⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲤⲀⲦⲈⲔϪⲀϬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲔⲰⲞⲨ
38 and Jesus said to them, “You have not known what you ask; are you able to drink of the cup that I drink of, and with the immersion that I am immersed with—to be immersed?”
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲤⲈ ⲠⲒⲀⲪⲞⲦ ⲈϮⲤⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲒⲈ ⲠⲒⲰⲘⲤ ⲈϮⲰⲘⲤ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
39 And they said to Him, “We are able”; and Jesus said to them, “Of the cup indeed that I drink of, you will drink, and with the immersion that I am immersed with, you will be immersed;
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲀⲪⲞⲦ ⲈϮⲤⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲤⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒⲰⲘⲤ ⲈϮⲰⲘⲤ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲈⲘⲤ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
40 but to sit on My right and on My left is not Mine to give, but—to those for whom it has been prepared.”
ⲙ̅ⲠⲒϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲒⲈ ϪⲀϬⲎ ⲘⲪⲰⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ.
41 And the ten having heard, began to be much displeased at James and John,
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲔⲈⲒ ⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲎ ⲦⲤ ⲚⲬⲢⲈⲘⲢⲈⲘ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲰⲀⲚⲚⲎⲤ
42 but Jesus having called them near, says to them, “You have known that they who are considered to rule the nations exercise lordship over them, and their great ones exercise authority on them;
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲘⲈⲨⲒ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲰⲚ ⲈⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲤⲈⲞⲒ ⲚϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲤⲈⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲢϢⲒϢⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ.
43 but not so will it be among you; but whoever may will to become great among you, he will be your minister,
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈⲦϢⲞⲠ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲈⲢⲚⲒϢϮ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈⲈⲢⲆⲒⲀⲔⲰⲚ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ.
44 and whoever of you may will to become first, he will be servant of all;
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲈⲢϨⲞⲨⲒⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈⲈⲢⲂⲰⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ
45 for even the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life [as] a ransom for many.”
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲰⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲞⲨϢⲈⲘϢⲎⲦϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϮ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲚⲤⲰϮ ⲚϢⲈⲂⲒⲰ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ.
46 And they come to Jericho, and as He is going forth from Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, a son of Timaeus—Bartimaeus the blind—was sitting beside the way begging,
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲒⲈⲢⲒⲬⲰ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲒⲈⲢⲒⲬⲰ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈϤⲞϢ ⲂⲀⲢⲦⲒⲘⲈⲞⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲒⲘⲈⲞⲤ ⲈⲞⲨⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲢⲈϤⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲚⲀϤϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲈⲤⲔⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲘⲰⲒⲦ.
47 and having heard that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and to say, “The Son of David—Jesus! Deal kindly with me”;
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲒⲢⲈⲘⲚⲀⲌⲀⲢⲈⲐ ⲠⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲎⲒ.
48 and many were rebuking him that he might keep silent, but the more abundantly he cried out, “Son of David, deal kindly with me.”
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲦⲒⲘⲀⲚ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲎϢ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲬⲀⲢⲰϤ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲚⲀϤⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲎⲒ
49 And Jesus having stood, He commanded him to be called, and they call the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage, rise, He calls you”;
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ϪⲈⲘⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲦⲰⲚⲔ ⲀⲘⲞⲨ ϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ.
50 and he, having cast away his garment, having risen, came to Jesus.
ⲛ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲈⲦ ⲠⲈϤϨⲂⲞⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϤⲞϪϤ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲀϤⲒ ϨⲀ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ.
51 And answering, Jesus says to him, “What do you will I may do to you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may see again”;
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲔⲞⲨⲀϢϤ ⲚⲦⲀⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲠⲒⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲢⲀⲂⲂⲞⲨⲚⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲂⲞⲖ.
52 and Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has saved you”: and immediately he saw again, and was following Jesus in the way.
ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲠⲈⲔⲚⲀϨϮ ⲠⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀϨⲘⲈⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘⲰⲒⲦ.
