< Luke 6 >
1 And it came to pass, on a Sabbath, as He is going through the grainfields, that His disciples were plucking the ears, and were eating, rubbing with the hands,
Tsiku lina la Sabata Yesu ankadutsa mʼminda yatirigu, ndipo ophunzira ake anayamba kubudula ngala zatirigu, namazifikisa mʼmanja mwawo ndi kumadya.
2 and certain of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbaths?”
Ena mwa Afarisi anafunsa kuti, “Kodi nʼchifukwa chiyani mukuchita zosaloledwa pa tsiku la Sabata?”
3 And Jesus answering said to them, “Did you not read even this that David did when he hungered, himself and those who are with him,
Yesu anawayankha iwo kuti, “Kodi simunawerenge zimene Davide anachita pamene iye ndi anzake anali ndi njala?
4 how he went into the house of God, and took the Bread of the Presentation, and ate, and gave also to those with him, which it is not lawful to eat, except only to the priests?”
Iye analowa mʼnyumba ya Mulungu ndipo atatenga buledi wopatulika anadya amene ndi ololedwa kudya ansembe okha. Ndipo anaperekanso wina kwa anzake.”
5 And He said to them, “The Son of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath.”
Kenaka Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Mwana wa Munthu ndi Ambuye wa Sabata.”
6 And it came to pass also, on another Sabbath, that He goes into the synagogue, and teaches, and there was there a man, and his right hand was withered,
La Sabata lina Iye analowa mʼsunagoge kukaphunzitsa ndipo mʼmenemo anapeza munthu wadzanja lolumala.
7 and the scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him, if on the Sabbath He will heal, that they might find an accusation against Him.
Afarisi ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo ankamuyangʼana kuti apeze chifukwa Yesu, choncho anamuyangʼanitsitsa kuti aone ngati Iye akanamuchiritsa pa Sabata.
8 And He Himself had known their reasonings and said to the man having the withered hand, “Rise, and stand in the midst”; and he having risen, stood.
Koma Yesu anadziwa zimene ankaganiza ndipo anati kwa munthu wadzanja lolumalayo, “Tanyamuka ndipo uyime patsogolo pa onsewa.” Choncho iye ananyamuka nayima pamenepo.
9 Then Jesus said to them, “I will question you something: is it lawful on the Sabbaths to do good, or to do evil? To save life or to kill?”
Kenaka Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Ndikufunseni, kodi chololedwa pa Sabata ndi chiti: kuchita chabwino kapena kuchita choyipa, kupulumutsa moyo kapena kuwononga?”
10 And having looked around on them all, He said to the man, “Stretch forth your hand”; and he did so, and his hand was restored whole as the other;
Iye atawayangʼana onsewo, anati kwa munthuyo, “Wongola dzanja lako.” Iye anaterodi, ndipo dzanja lake linachiritsidwa.
11 and they were filled with madness, and were speaking with one another what they might do to Jesus.
Koma iwo anapsa mtima nayamba kukambirana wina ndi mnzake chomwe akanamuchitira Yesu.
12 And it came to pass in those days, He went forth to the mountain to pray, and was passing the night in the prayer of God,
Tsiku lina, masiku amenewo, Yesu anapita ku phiri kukapemphera ndipo anakhala usiku wonse akupemphera kwa Mulungu.
13 and when it became day, He called near His disciples, also having chosen twelve from them, whom He also named apostles:
Kutacha, anayitana ophunzira ake ndipo anasankha khumi ndi awiri a iwo amene anawayika kukhala atumwi:
14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and his brother Andrew, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
Simoni (amene anamutcha Petro), mʼbale wake wa Andreya, Yakobo, Yohane, Filipo, Bartumeyu,
15 Matthew and Thomas, James of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zealot,
Mateyu, Tomasi, Yakobo mwana wa Alufeyo, Simoni amene amatchedwa Zaleti,
16 Judas of James, and Judas Iscariot, who also became betrayer.
Yudasi mwana wa Yakobo ndi Yudasi Isikarioti amene anamupereka.
17 And having come down with them, He stood on a level spot; and a crowd of His disciples, and a great multitude of the people from all Judea, and Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,
Iye anatsika pamodzi ndi atumwiwo ndipo anayima pamalo athyathyathya. Gulu lalikulu la ophunzira ake, gulu lalikulu la anthu ochokera ku Yudeya konse, ku Yerusalemu ndi ochokera mʼmphepete mwa nyanja ya Turo ndi Sidoni anali pomwepo.
18 who came to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases, [gathered]. And those harassed by unclean spirits [also gathered] and were healed.
Iwo anabwera kudzamvetsera ndi kuchiritsidwa ku matenda awo. Osautsidwa ndi mizimu yoyipa anachiritsidwa,
19 And all the multitude were seeking to touch Him, because power was going forth from Him, and He was healing all.
ndipo anthu ankayesetsa kuti amukhudze chifukwa mphamvu imatuluka mwa Iye ndi kuchiritsa onse.
20 And He, having lifted up His eyes to His disciples, said: “Blessed the poor—because yours is the Kingdom of God.
Akuyangʼana ophunzira ake, Iye anati, “Odala ndinu amene ndi osauka, chifukwa ufumu wa Mulungu ndi wanu.
21 Blessed those hungering now—because you will be filled. Blessed those weeping now—because you will laugh.
Inu amene mukumva njala tsopano, ndinu odala chifukwa mudzakhutitsidwa. Inu amene mukulira tsopano, ndinu odala chifukwa mudzasekerera.
22 Blessed are you when men will hate you, and when they will separate you, and will reproach, and will cast forth your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake—
Ndinu odala, anthu akamakudani, kukusalani ndi kukunyozani ndi kumayipitsa dzina lanu chifukwa cha Mwana wa Munthu.
23 rejoice in that day, and leap, for behold, your reward [is] great in Heaven, for according to these things were their fathers doing to the prophets.
“Nthawi imeneyo sangalalani ndipo lumphani ndi chimwemwe chifukwa mphotho yanu ndi yayikulu kumwamba. Pakuti ndi zomwezonso zimene makolo awo anachitira aneneri.
24 But woe to you—the rich, because you have gotten your comfort.
“Ndinu atsoka, anthu olemera, popeza mwalandiriratu zokusangalatsani.
25 Woe to you who have been filled—because you will hunger. Woe to you who are laughing now—because you will mourn and weep.
Tsoka inu amene mukudya bwino tsopano, chifukwa mudzakhala ndi njala. Ndinu atsoka, amene mukusekerera tsopano, chifukwa mudzabuma ndi kulira.
26 Woe to you when all men will speak well of you—for according to these things were their fathers doing to false prophets.
Ndinu atsoka, anthu akamakuyamikirani, popeza makolo anu anawachitira aneneri onama zomwezi.”
27 But I say to you who are hearing, love your enemies, do good to those hating you,
“Koma Ine ndikuwuza inu amene mukundimva: Kondani adani anu, chitirani zabwino amene amakudani.
28 bless those cursing you, pray for those maligning you;
Dalitsani amene amakutembererani, apempherereni amene amakusautsani.
29 and to him striking you on the cheek, give also the other, and from him taking away from you the mantle, also the coat you may not keep back.
Ngati wina akumenyani patsaya limodzi mupatseninso tsaya linalo. Ngati wina akulanda mwinjiro wako, umulole atenge ndi mkanjo omwe.
30 And to everyone who is asking of you, be giving; and from him who is taking away your goods, do not be asking again;
Mupatseni aliyense amene akupemphani kanthu ndipo ngati wina atenga chinthu chanu, musamulamule kuti akubwezereni.
31 and as you wish that men may do to you, do also to them in like manner;
Inu muwachitire anthu ena, zomwe mukanafuna kuti iwo akuchitireni.
32 and—if you love those loving you, what grace is it to you? For also the sinful love those loving them;
“Ngati mukonda okhawo amene amakukondani, mwapindula chiyani? Ngakhale ‘ochimwa’ amakonda amene amawakondanso.
33 and if you do good to those doing good to you, what grace is it to you? For also the sinful do the same;
Ndipo ngati muchita zabwino kwa amene ndi abwino kwa inu, mwapindula chiyani? Ngakhale ‘ochimwa’ amachita izi.
34 and if you lend [to those] of whom you hope to receive back, what grace is it to you? For also the sinful lend to sinners—that they may receive again as much.
Ndipo ngati mukongoza amene mukuyembekeza kuti abweza, mwapindula chiyani? Ngakhale ‘ochimwa’ amabwereketsa kwa ochimwa anzawo, ndipo amayembekezera kubwezeredwa zonse.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Highest, because He is kind to the ungracious and evil;
Koma kondani adani anu, achitireni zabwino, akongozeni koma osayembekezera kulandira kanthu. Pamenepo mphotho yanu idzakhala yayikulu ndipo inu mudzakhala ana a Wammwambamwamba, chifukwa ndi wokoma mtima kwa anthu osayamika ndi oyipa.
36 be therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.
Khalani achifundo, monga momwe Atate anu ali achifundo.”
37 And do not judge, and you may not be judged; do not condemn, and you may not be condemned; release, and you will be released.
“Musaweruze, ndipo inu simudzaweruzidwa. Musatsutse ndipo inu simudzatsutsidwa. Khululukirani ena ndipo mudzakhululukidwa.
38 Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed, and shaken, and running over, they will give into your bosom; for with that measure with which you measure, it will be measured to you again.”
Perekani ndipo mudzapatsidwa. Adzakupatsani mʼthumba mwanu muyeso wabwino, wotsenderezeka, wokhutchumuka ndi wosefukira. Pakuti muyeso umene mumagwiritsa ntchito, ndi omwewo adzakuyeserani.”
39 And He spoke an allegory to them, “Is blind able to lead blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?
Iye anawawuzanso fanizo ili, “Kodi munthu wakhungu angatsogolere munthu wakhungu mnzake? Kodi onse sadzagwera mʼdzenje?
40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone perfected will be as his teacher.
Wophunzira sangapose mphunzitsi wake, koma yense amene waphunzitsidwa bwinobwino adzakhala ngati mphunzitsi wake.
41 And why do you behold the speck that is in your brother’s eye, and do not consider the beam that [is] in your own eye?
“Kodi ndi chifukwa chiyani mumaona kachitsotso mʼdiso la mʼbale wanu ndi kusasamala mtengo uli mʼdiso mwanu?
42 Or how are you able to say to your brother, Brother, permit, I may take out the speck that [is] in your eye—yourself not beholding the beam in your own eye? Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that [is] in your brother’s eye.
Kodi munganene bwanji kwa mʼbale wanu kuti, ‘Mʼbale nʼtakuchotsa kachitsotso mʼdiso mwako,’ pamene inu eni ake mukulephera kuona mtengo uli mʼdiso mwanu? Inu achiphamaso, yambani mwachotsa mtengo uli mʼdiso mwanu, ndipo kenaka mudzaona bwinobwino ndi kuchotsa kachitsotso mʼdiso la mʼbale wanu.”
43 For there is not a good tree making bad fruit, nor a bad tree making good fruit;
Palibe mtengo wabwino umene umabala chipatso choyipa, kapena mtengo oyipa umene umabala chipatso chabwino.
44 for each tree is known from its own fruit, for they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they crop a grape from a bramble.
Mtengo uliwonse umadziwika ndi chipatso chake. Anthu sathyola nkhuyu pa mtengo waminga, kapena mphesa pa nthungwi.
45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which [is] good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which [is] evil; for out of the abounding of the heart his mouth speaks.
Munthu wabwino amatulutsa zinthu zabwino zosungidwa mu mtima mwake, koma munthu oyipa amatulutsa zinthu zoyipa zosungidwa mu mtima mwake. Pakamwa pake pamayankhula zimene zadzaza mu mtima mwake.
46 And why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?
“Kodi nʼchifukwa chiyani munditchula kuti, ‘Ambuye, Ambuye’ koma simuchita zimene Ine ndinena?
47 Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My words, and is doing them, I will show you to whom he is like:
Ine ndidzakuonetsani mmene alili munthu amene amabwera kwa Ine ndi kumva mawu anga ndi kuwachita.
48 he is like to a man building a house, who dug and deepened, and laid a foundation on the rock, and a flood having come, the stream broke forth on that house, and was not able to shake it, for it had been founded on the rock.
Iye ali ngati munthu womanga nyumba, amene anakumba mozama nayika maziko ake pa mwala. Madzi osefukira atabwera ndi mphamvu, nawomba nyumbayo koma sinagwedezeka, chifukwa anayimanga bwino.
49 And he who heard and did not, is like to a man having built a house on the earth, without a foundation, against which the stream broke forth, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house became great.”
Koma amene amamva mawu anga koma osawachita, akufanana ndi munthu amene anamanga nyumba yake koma yopanda maziko. Nthawi yomwe madziwo anawomba nyumbayo, inagwa ndipo inawonongekeratu.”
