Luke 4
1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit into the wilderness,
Sedan gick Jesus ifrå Jordan igen, full med den Helga Anda, och vardt hafder af Andanom uti öknena;
2 being tempted by the Devil forty days, and He did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, He afterward hungered,
Och frestades i fyratio dagar af djefvulen, och åt intet i de dagar; utan då de ändade voro, sedan hungrade honom.
3 and the Devil said to Him, “If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”
Då sade djefvulen till honom: Äst du Guds Son, så säg till denna stenen, att han varder bröd.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, “It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God.”
Då svarade Jesus, och sade till honom: Det är skrifvet: Menniskan lefver icke allenast af bröd, utan af hvart och ett Guds ord.
5 And the Devil having brought Him up to a high mountain, showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,
Och djefvulen hade honom på ett högt berg, och viste honom all rike i verldene, uti ett ögnablick.
6 and the Devil said to Him, “To You I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I give it;
Och djefvulen sade till honom: Dig vill jag gifva all denna magten, och deras härlighet; ty de äro mig i händer gifven, och hvem jag vill, gifver jag dem.
7 You, then, if You may worship me—all will be Yours.”
Vill du nu falla ned, och tillbedja mig, så skola de all höra dig till.
8 And Jesus answering him said, “[[Get behind Me, Satan, for]] it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only you will serve.”
Jesus svarade, och sade till honom: Gack bort ifrå mig, Satan; ty det är skrifvet: Din Herra Gud skall du tillbedja, och honom allena skall du dyrka.
9 And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here,
Och hade han honom till Jerusalem, och satte honom uppå tinnarna af templet, och sade till honom: Äst du Guds Son, så gif dig här nedföre.
10 for it has been written: To His messengers He will give charge concerning you, to guard over you;
Ty det är skrifvet: Han skall befalla sina Änglar om dig; att de skola förvara dig;
11 and: On hands they will bear you up, lest at any time you may dash your foot against a stone.”
Och bära dig på sina händer, att du icke stöter din fot emot stenen.
12 And Jesus answering said to him, “It has been said, You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
Då svarade Jesus, och sade till honom: Det är sagdt: Du skall icke fresta Herran din Gud.
13 And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a convenient season.
Och sedan djefvulen hade fullkomnat all frestelsen, for han ifrå honom till en tid.
14 And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the surrounding region concerning Him,
Och Jesus kom, genom Andans kraft, in i Galileen igen; och ryktet gick ut om honom i all den ängden deromkring.
15 and He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
Och han lärde i deras Synagogor, och vardt prisad af allom.
16 And He came to Nazareth, where He has been brought up, and He went in, according to His custom, on the day of the Sabbaths, into the synagogue, and stood up to read;
Och han kom till Nazareth, der han uppfödder var; och gick om Sabbathsdagen in i Synagogon, som hans sedvänja var, och stod upp, och ville läsa.
17 and there was given over to Him a scroll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the scroll, He found the place where it has been written:
Då vardt honom fången Esaie Prophetens bok; och då han lät upp bokena, fann han det rummet, der skrifvet står:
18 “The Spirit of the LORD [is] on Me, Because He anointed Me To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent Me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send the bruised away with deliverance,
Herrans Ande är öfver mig, derföre att han hafver smort mig; till att förkunna Evangelium dem fattigom hafver han sändt mig, till att läka de förkrossada hjerta; till att predika de fångar frihet, och dem blindom syn, och dem sönderslagnom förlossning;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
Till att predika Herrans behageliga år.
20 And having folded the scroll, having given [it] back to the officer, He sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on Him.
Sedan lade han boken tillhopa, och fick tjenarenom, och satte sig; och allas deras ögon, som i Synagogone vore, aktade på honom.
21 And He began to say to them, “Today this writing has been fulfilled in your ears”;
Då begynte han till att säga till dem: I dag är denna Skrift fullbordad för edor öron.
22 and all were bearing testimony to Him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of His mouth, and they said, “Is this not the Son of Joseph?”
Och de båro honom alle vittnesbörd, och förundrade sig på de nådefulla ord, som gingo af hans mun, och sade: Är icke denne Josephs son?
23 And He said to them, “Certainly you will say to Me this allegory, Physician, heal yourself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country”;
Då sade han till dem: Visserliga mågen I säga till mig denna liknelsen: Läkare, läk dig sjelfvan; huru stor ting hafve vi hört i Capernaum skedd vara; gör ock sådana här i ditt fädernesland.
24 and He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country;
Sade han: Sannerliga säger jag eder: Ingen Prophet är afhållen i sitt fädernesland.
25 and of a truth I say to you, many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the sky was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,
Men jag säger eder i sanning: Många enkor voro i Israel, uti Elie tid, då himmelen igenlyckt var i tre år och sex månader, då stor hunger var öfver hela landet.
26 and to none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman, a widow;
Och till ingen af dem vardt Elias sänd; utan till ena enko uti Sareptha Sidons.
27 and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.”
Och månge spitelske voro i Israel, i Elisei Prophetens tid; och ingen af dem vardt ren gjord, förutan Naeman af Syrien.
28 And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,
Och alle, de i Synagogon voro, uppfylldes med vrede, då de detta hörde;
29 and having risen, they put Him forth outside the city, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast Him down headlong,
Och uppreste sig emot honom, och drefvo honom utu staden, och ledde honom ut öfverst på klinten af berget, der deras stad på byggder var, och ville stört honom der utföre;
30 and He, having gone through the midst of them, went away.
Men han gick midt igenom dem sin väg.
31 And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths,
Och han kom ned till den staden Capernaum i Galileen; och der lärde han dem om Sabbatherna.
32 and they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.
Och de förundrade sig på hans lärdom; ty med hans tal var väldighet.
33 And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,
Och uti Synagogon var en menniska besatt med en oren djefvuls anda; och han ropade med höga röst,
34 “Aah! What [regards] us and You, Jesus, O Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known who You are—the Holy One of God!”
Sägandes: Hej, hvad hafve vi med dig, Jesu Nazarene? Äst du kommen till att förderfva oss? Jag vet ho du äst, nämliga den Guds Helige.
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him”; and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nothing;
Och Jesus näpste honom, sägandes: Var tyst, och gack ut af honom. Och djefvulen kastade honom midt ibland dem, och gick ut af honom, och gjorde honom ingen skada.
36 and amazement came on all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, “What [is] this word, that with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come forth?”
Och en förfärelse kom öfver dem alla; och de talade inbördes med hvarannan, sägande: Hvad skall detta vara? Ty han bjuder de orena andar med magt och väldighet, och de gå ut.
37 And there was going forth a fame concerning Him to every place of the surrounding region.
Och ryktet gick ut om honom allestäds i de landsändar deromkring.
38 And having risen out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they asked Him about her,
Då Jesus uppstod utu Synagogon, gick han in i Simons hus. Och Simons svära betvingades med stora skälfvosot; då bådo de honom för henne.
39 and having stood over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately, having risen, she was ministering to them.
Och han trädde in till henne, och näpste skälfvone; och skälfvan öfvergaf henne; och hon stod straxt upp, och tjente dem.
40 And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold diseases, brought them to Him, and He, having put hands on each one of them, healed them.
Då solen nedergick, alle de som hade sjukt folk af allahanda sjukor, ledde dem till honom; och han lade händerna på hvar och en, och gjorde dem helbregda.
41 And demons were also coming forth from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God”; and rebuking, He did not permit them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.
Foro också djeflarna ut af mångom, ropade och sade: Du äst Christus, Guds Son; då näpste han dem, och stadde icke till att de skulle tala; ty de visste, att han var Christus.
42 And day having come, having gone forth, He went on to a desolate place, and the multitudes were seeking Him, and they came to Him, and were restraining Him—not to go on from them,
Då dager vardt, gick han ut i ödemarken; och folket sökte honom, och kommo till honom, och förhöllo honom, att han icke skulle gå ifrå dem.
43 and He said to them, “Also to the other cities it is necessary for Me to proclaim good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I have been sent”;
Då sade han till dem: Andra städer måste jag ock predika Guds rike; ty jag är dertill sänd.
44 and He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
Och han predikade uti de Synagogor i Galileen.
