< Luke 4 >

1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit into the wilderness,
ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪವಿತ್ರೇಣಾತ್ಮನಾ ಪೂರ್ಣಃ ಸನ್ ಯರ್ದ್ದನನದ್ಯಾಃ ಪರಾವೃತ್ಯಾತ್ಮನಾ ಪ್ರಾನ್ತರಂ ನೀತಃ ಸನ್ ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶದ್ದಿನಾನಿ ಯಾವತ್ ಶೈತಾನಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿತೋಽಭೂತ್,
2 being tempted by the Devil forty days, and He did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, He afterward hungered,
ಕಿಞ್ಚ ತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವದಿನಾನಿ ಭೋಜನಂ ವಿನಾ ಸ್ಥಿತತ್ವಾತ್ ಕಾಲೇ ಪೂರ್ಣೇ ಸ ಕ್ಷುಧಿತವಾನ್|
3 and the Devil said to Him, “If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”
ತತಃ ಶೈತಾನಾಗತ್ಯ ತಮವದತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಚೇದೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತರಾನೇತಾನ್ ಆಜ್ಞಯಾ ಪೂಪಾನ್ ಕುರು|
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, “It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God.”
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುರುವಾಚ, ಲಿಪಿರೀದೃಶೀ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ಮನುಜಃ ಕೇವಲೇನ ಪೂಪೇನ ನ ಜೀವತಿ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಭಿರಾಜ್ಞಾಭಿ ರ್ಜೀವತಿ|
5 And the Devil having brought Him up to a high mountain, showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,
ತದಾ ಶೈತಾನ್ ತಮುಚ್ಚಂ ಪರ್ವ್ವತಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ನಿಮಿಷೈಕಮಧ್ಯೇ ಜಗತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವರಾಜ್ಯಾನಿ ದರ್ಶಿತವಾನ್|
6 and the Devil said to Him, “To You I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I give it;
ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ತಮವಾದೀತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮ್ ಏತದ್ ವಿಭವಂ ಪ್ರತಾಪಞ್ಚ ತುಭ್ಯಂ ದಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ ತನ್ ಮಯಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತಮಾಸ್ತೇ ಯಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಮೇಚ್ಛಾ ಜಾಯತೇ ತಸ್ಮೈ ದಾತುಂ ಶಕ್ನೋಮಿ,
7 You, then, if You may worship me—all will be Yours.”
ತ್ವಂ ಚೇನ್ಮಾಂ ಭಜಸೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮೇತತ್ ತವೈವ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
8 And Jesus answering him said, “[[Get behind Me, Satan, for]] it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only you will serve.”
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್ ದೂರೀ ಭವ ಶೈತಾನ್ ಲಿಪಿರಾಸ್ತೇ, ನಿಜಂ ಪ್ರಭುಂ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಂ ಭಜಸ್ವ ಕೇವಲಂ ತಮೇವ ಸೇವಸ್ವ ಚ|
9 And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here,
ಅಥ ಶೈತಾನ್ ತಂ ಯಿರೂಶಾಲಮಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ಮನ್ದಿರಸ್ಯ ಚೂಡಾಯಾ ಉಪರಿ ಸಮುಪವೇಶ್ಯ ಜಗಾದ ತ್ವಂ ಚೇದೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಾದಿತೋ ಲಮ್ಫಿತ್ವಾಧಃ
10 for it has been written: To His messengers He will give charge concerning you, to guard over you;
ಪತ ಯತೋ ಲಿಪಿರಾಸ್ತೇ, ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯಿಷ್ಯತಿ ಸ್ವೀಯಾನ್ ದೂತಾನ್ ಸ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಃ|
11 and: On hands they will bear you up, lest at any time you may dash your foot against a stone.”
ರಕ್ಷಿತುಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮಾರ್ಗೇ ತ್ವಾಂ ತೇನ ತ್ವಚ್ಚರಣೇ ಯಥಾ| ನ ಲಗೇತ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತರಾಘಾತಸ್ತ್ವಾಂ ಧರಿಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ತೇ ತಥಾ|
12 And Jesus answering said to him, “It has been said, You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುನಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತಮ್ ಇದಮಪ್ಯುಕ್ತಮಸ್ತಿ ತ್ವಂ ಸ್ವಪ್ರಭುಂ ಪರೇಶಂ ಮಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಸ್ವ|
13 And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a convenient season.
ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಶೈತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಪರೀಕ್ಷಾಂ ಸಮಾಪ್ಯ ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ತಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಯಯೌ|
14 And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the surrounding region concerning Him,
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುರಾತ್ಮಪ್ರಭಾವಾತ್ ಪುನರ್ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶಂ ಗತಸ್ತದಾ ತತ್ಸುಖ್ಯಾತಿಶ್ಚತುರ್ದಿಶಂ ವ್ಯಾನಶೇ|
15 and He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
ಸ ತೇಷಾಂ ಭಜನಗೃಹೇಷು ಉಪದಿಶ್ಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವೈಃ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿತೋ ಬಭೂವ|
16 And He came to Nazareth, where He has been brought up, and He went in, according to His custom, on the day of the Sabbaths, into the synagogue, and stood up to read;
ಅಥ ಸ ಸ್ವಪಾಲನಸ್ಥಾನಂ ನಾಸರತ್ಪುರಮೇತ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರೇ ಸ್ವಾಚಾರಾದ್ ಭಜನಗೇಹಂ ಪ್ರವಿಶ್ಯ ಪಠಿತುಮುತ್ತಸ್ಥೌ|
17 and there was given over to Him a scroll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the scroll, He found the place where it has been written:
ತತೋ ಯಿಶಯಿಯಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದಿನಃ ಪುಸ್ತಕೇ ತಸ್ಯ ಕರದತ್ತೇ ಸತಿ ಸ ತತ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಂ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ಯ್ಯ ಯತ್ರ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಣಾನಿ ವಚನಾನಿ ಸನ್ತಿ ತತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಪಪಾಠ|
18 “The Spirit of the LORD [is] on Me, Because He anointed Me To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent Me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send the bruised away with deliverance,
ಆತ್ಮಾ ತು ಪರಮೇಶಸ್ಯ ಮದೀಯೋಪರಿ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ| ದರಿದ್ರೇಷು ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ವಕ್ತುಂ ಮಾಂ ಸೋಭಿಷಿಕ್ತವಾನ್| ಭಗ್ನಾನ್ತಃ ಕರಣಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಸುಸ್ವಸ್ಥಾನ್ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮೇವ ಚ| ಬನ್ದೀಕೃತೇಷು ಲೋಕೇಷು ಮುಕ್ತೇ ರ್ಘೋಷಯಿತುಂ ವಚಃ| ನೇತ್ರಾಣಿ ದಾತುಮನ್ಧೇಭ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರಾತುಂ ಬದ್ಧಜನಾನಪಿ|
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
ಪರೇಶಾನುಗ್ರಹೇ ಕಾಲಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿತುಮೇವ ಚ| ಸರ್ವ್ವೈತತ್ಕರಣಾರ್ಥಾಯ ಮಾಮೇವ ಪ್ರಹಿಣೋತಿ ಸಃ||
20 And having folded the scroll, having given [it] back to the officer, He sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on Him.
ತತಃ ಪುಸ್ತಕಂ ಬದ್ವ್ವಾ ಪರಿಚಾರಕಸ್ಯ ಹಸ್ತೇ ಸಮರ್ಪ್ಯ ಚಾಸನೇ ಸಮುಪವಿಷ್ಟಃ, ತತೋ ಭಜನಗೃಹೇ ಯಾವನ್ತೋ ಲೋಕಾ ಆಸನ್ ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಽನನ್ಯದೃಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ತಂ ವಿಲುಲೋಕಿರೇ|
21 And He began to say to them, “Today this writing has been fulfilled in your ears”;
ಅನನ್ತರಮ್ ಅದ್ಯೈತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಣಿ ಲಿಖಿತವಚನಾನಿ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನಿ ಸ ಇಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ತೇಭ್ಯಃ ಕಥಯಿತುಮಾರೇಭೇ|
22 and all were bearing testimony to Him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of His mouth, and they said, “Is this not the Son of Joseph?”
ತತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಅನ್ವರಜ್ಯನ್ತ, ಕಿಞ್ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ಮುಖಾನ್ನಿರ್ಗತಾಭಿರನುಗ್ರಹಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾಭಿಶ್ಚಮತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸುಃ ಕಿಮಯಂ ಯೂಷಫಃ ಪುತ್ರೋ ನ?
23 And He said to them, “Certainly you will say to Me this allegory, Physician, heal yourself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country”;
ತದಾ ಸೋಽವಾದೀದ್ ಹೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ಸ್ವಮೇವ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಂ ಕುರು ಕಫರ್ನಾಹೂಮಿ ಯದ್ಯತ್ ಕೃತವಾನ್ ತದಶ್ರೌಷ್ಮ ತಾಃ ಸರ್ವಾಃ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಅತ್ರ ಸ್ವದೇಶೇ ಕುರು ಕಥಾಮೇತಾಂ ಯೂಯಮೇವಾವಶ್ಯಂ ಮಾಂ ವದಿಷ್ಯಥ|
24 and He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country;
ಪುನಃ ಸೋವಾದೀದ್ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನಹಂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ವದಾಮಿ, ಕೋಪಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದೀ ಸ್ವದೇಶೇ ಸತ್ಕಾರಂ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನೋತಿ|
25 and of a truth I say to you, many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the sky was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,
ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ವಚ್ಮಿ, ಏಲಿಯಸ್ಯ ಜೀವನಕಾಲೇ ಯದಾ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧತ್ರಿತಯವರ್ಷಾಣಿ ಯಾವತ್ ಜಲದಪ್ರತಿಬನ್ಧಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಸ್ಮಿನ್ ದೇಶೇ ಮಹಾದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷಮ್ ಅಜನಿಷ್ಟ ತದಾನೀಮ್ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೋ ದೇಶಸ್ಯ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಬಹ್ವ್ಯೋ ವಿಧವಾ ಆಸನ್,
26 and to none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman, a widow;
ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೀದೋನ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯಸಾರಿಫತ್ಪುರನಿವಾಸಿನೀಮ್ ಏಕಾಂ ವಿಧವಾಂ ವಿನಾ ಕಸ್ಯಾಶ್ಚಿದಪಿ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಏಲಿಯಃ ಪ್ರೇರಿತೋ ನಾಭೂತ್|
27 and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.”
ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಇಲೀಶಾಯಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದಿವಿದ್ಯಮಾನತಾಕಾಲೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ದೇಶೇ ಬಹವಃ ಕುಷ್ಠಿನ ಆಸನ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸುರೀಯದೇಶೀಯಂ ನಾಮಾನ್ಕುಷ್ಠಿನಂ ವಿನಾ ಕೋಪ್ಯನ್ಯಃ ಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತೋ ನಾಭೂತ್|
28 And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,
ಇಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಥಿತಾ ಲೋಕಾಃ ಸಕ್ರೋಧಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ
29 and having risen, they put Him forth outside the city, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast Him down headlong,
ನಗರಾತ್ತಂ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಯಸ್ಯ ಶಿಖರಿಣ ಉಪರಿ ತೇಷಾಂ ನಗರಂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತಮಾಸ್ತೇ ತಸ್ಮಾನ್ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪ್ತುಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಶಿಖರಂ ತಂ ನಿನ್ಯುಃ
30 and He, having gone through the midst of them, went away.
ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ತೇಷಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯಾದಪಸೃತ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಾನ್ತರಂ ಜಗಾಮ|
31 And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths,
ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯೀಶುರ್ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯಕಫರ್ನಾಹೂಮ್ನಗರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರೇ ಲೋಕಾನುಪದೇಷ್ಟುಮ್ ಆರಬ್ಧವಾನ್|
32 and they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.
ತದುಪದೇಶಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಚಮಚ್ಚಕ್ರು ರ್ಯತಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾ ಗುರುತರಾ ಆಸನ್|
33 And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,
ತದಾನೀಂ ತದ್ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಥಿತೋಽಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಗ್ರಸ್ತ ಏಕೋ ಜನ ಉಚ್ಚೈಃ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸ,
34 “Aah! What [regards] us and You, Jesus, O Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known who You are—the Holy One of God!”
ಹೇ ನಾಸರತೀಯಯೀಶೋಽಸ್ಮಾನ್ ತ್ಯಜ, ತ್ವಯಾ ಸಹಾಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಕಃ ಸಮ್ಬನ್ಧಃ? ಕಿಮಸ್ಮಾನ್ ವಿನಾಶಯಿತುಮಾಯಾಸಿ? ತ್ವಮೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪವಿತ್ರೋ ಜನ ಏತದಹಂ ಜಾನಾಮಿ|
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him”; and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nothing;
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಂ ತರ್ಜಯಿತ್ವಾವದತ್ ಮೌನೀ ಭವ ಇತೋ ಬಹಿರ್ಭವ; ತತಃ ಸೋಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಸ್ತಂ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನೇ ಪಾತಯಿತ್ವಾ ಕಿಞ್ಚಿದಪ್ಯಹಿಂಸಿತ್ವಾ ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಬಹಿರ್ಗತವಾನ್|
36 and amazement came on all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, “What [is] this word, that with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come forth?”
ತತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಲೋಕಾಶ್ಚಮತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ವಕ್ತುಮಾರೇಭಿರೇ ಕೋಯಂ ಚಮತ್ಕಾರಃ| ಏಷ ಪ್ರಭಾವೇಣ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಚಾಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಾನ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯತಿ ತೇನೈವ ತೇ ಬಹಿರ್ಗಚ್ಛನ್ತಿ|
37 And there was going forth a fame concerning Him to every place of the surrounding region.
ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಚತುರ್ದಿಕ್ಸ್ಥದೇಶಾನ್ ತಸ್ಯ ಸುಖ್ಯಾತಿರ್ವ್ಯಾಪ್ನೋತ್|
38 And having risen out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they asked Him about her,
ತದನನ್ತರಂ ಸ ಭಜನಗೇಹಾದ್ ಬಹಿರಾಗತ್ಯ ಶಿಮೋನೋ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ಪ್ರವಿವೇಶ ತದಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಶ್ವಶ್ರೂರ್ಜ್ವರೇಣಾತ್ಯನ್ತಂ ಪೀಡಿತಾಸೀತ್ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾಸ್ತದರ್ಥಂ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವಿನಯಂ ಚಕ್ರುಃ|
39 and having stood over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately, having risen, she was ministering to them.
ತತಃ ಸ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಸ್ಥಿತ್ವಾ ಜ್ವರಂ ತರ್ಜಯಾಮಾಸ ತೇನೈವ ತಾಂ ಜ್ವರೋಽತ್ಯಾಕ್ಷೀತ್ ತತಃ ಸಾ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ ತಾನ್ ಸಿಷೇವೇ|
40 And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold diseases, brought them to Him, and He, having put hands on each one of them, healed them.
ಅಥ ಸೂರ್ಯ್ಯಾಸ್ತಕಾಲೇ ಸ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಯೇ ಯೇ ಜನಾ ನಾನಾರೋಗೈಃ ಪೀಡಿತಾ ಆಸನ್ ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತಾನ್ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸಮೀಪಮ್ ಆನಿನ್ಯುಃ, ತದಾ ಸ ಏಕೈಕಸ್ಯ ಗಾತ್ರೇ ಕರಮರ್ಪಯಿತ್ವಾ ತಾನರೋಗಾನ್ ಚಕಾರ|
41 And demons were also coming forth from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God”; and rebuking, He did not permit them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.
ತತೋ ಭೂತಾ ಬಹುಭ್ಯೋ ನಿರ್ಗತ್ಯ ಚೀತ್ಶಬ್ದಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಚ ಬಭಾಷಿರೇ ತ್ವಮೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರೋಽಭಿಷಿಕ್ತತ್ರಾತಾ; ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೋಭಿಷಿಕ್ತತ್ರಾತೇತಿ ತೇ ವಿವಿದುರೇತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಕಾರಣಾತ್ ತಾನ್ ತರ್ಜಯಿತ್ವಾ ತದ್ವಕ್ತುಂ ನಿಷಿಷೇಧ|
42 And day having come, having gone forth, He went on to a desolate place, and the multitudes were seeking Him, and they came to Him, and were restraining Him—not to go on from them,
ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರಭಾತೇ ಸತಿ ಸ ವಿಜನಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಪ್ರತಸ್ಥೇ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಜನಾಸ್ತಮನ್ವಿಚ್ಛನ್ತಸ್ತನ್ನಿಕಟಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಸ್ಥಾನಾನ್ತರಗಮನಾರ್ಥಂ ತಮನ್ವರುನ್ಧನ್|
43 and He said to them, “Also to the other cities it is necessary for Me to proclaim good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I have been sent”;
ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ತಾನ್ ಜಗಾದ, ಈಶ್ವರೀಯರಾಜ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿತುಮ್ ಅನ್ಯಾನಿ ಪುರಾಣ್ಯಪಿ ಮಯಾ ಯಾತವ್ಯಾನಿ ಯತಸ್ತದರ್ಥಮೇವ ಪ್ರೇರಿತೋಹಂ|
44 and He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
ಅಥ ಗಾಲೀಲೋ ಭಜನಗೇಹೇಷು ಸ ಉಪದಿದೇಶ|
