< Luke 22 >
1 And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,
Shikukuu sha mikate jangatagwa ngedule, shishemwa pashaka, shatendaga bhandishila.
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.
Ashikalongolele bha bhaabhishila na bhaajiganya bha shalia, bhatendaga loleyanga mwa kwabhulajila a Yeshu, ikabhe bhatendaga kwaajogopanga bhandunji.
3 And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,
Bhai, Lishetani akwaajinjilaga a Yuda Ishikaliote, bhaliji munkumbi gwa mitume kumi na bhabhili bhala.
4 and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,
A Yuda gubhapite kunguluka na ashikalongolele bha bhaabhishila na bhakulungwanji bha manjola, shibhapinga kwaendebhuka a Yeshu.
5 and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,
Nabhalabhonji guyaanonyelenje nigubhalegenenje kwaapa mmbiya.
6 and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.
A Yuda gubhakundile, gubhatemi nkuloleya malanga ga mmbone ga kwaatendebhuka a Yeshu gwangali kumumanya bhandu bhabhagwinji.
7 And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,
Bhai, lyubha lya mikate jangatagwa ngedule guliishile. Lyubhalyo lya ingwa mwana jwa ngondolo jwa pashaka.
8 and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
Kwa nneyo a Yeshu gubhaatumilenje a Petili na a Yowana, gubhaalugulilenje, “Nnjendangane nkakolokoyanje shalya tulye pashaka.”
9 and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
Gubhaabhushiyenje, “Punkupinga tukakolokoye kwei?”
10 And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
Gubhaalugulilenje, “Mpilikananje! Pushinnjendangane kunnjini, shinng'imikananje na jwannume jumo ajigele lulo lwa mashi. Munkagulanje mpaka nnyumba jashaajinjile.
11 and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
Mwaalugulilanje bhayene nyumba, ‘Bhaajiganya bhanakummuya, jili kwei kati jibhapinga lila pashaka na bhaajiganywa bhabho?’
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
Na bhenebho shibhannangulanje kati jikulungwa kugolopa jikonjeleywe, nnkolokoyanje mwenemo.”
13 and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
Bhai, gubhapitengene, gubhaimenenje indu yowe malinga shibhabhalanjilwenje na a Yeshu, gubhakolokoyenje shalya sha pashaka.
14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,
Malanga gakatimilileje, a Yeshu gubhatemi pamo na mitume bhabho nkulya shalya.
15 and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
Gubhaalugulilenje, “Njilokolila kaje kulya pashakaji pamo na mmanganya nganabhe potekwa.
16 for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
Pabha ngajilya kabhili mpaka penepo pushijimalile mu Upalume gwa a Nnungu.”
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
Kungai gubhatolile shikombe sha divai, gubhatendile eja, gubhashite, “Ntolanje nnepesheyane mmowe.
18 for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
Pabha ngunakummalanjilanga, ngang'wa kabhili divai ja shabhibhu mpaka Upalume gwa a Nnungu pushuishe.”
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
Kungai, gubhatolile nkate, gubhatendile eja, gubhaugebhenye, gubhaapelenje bhalinkuti, “Sheshino shiilu shangu shipinga shoywa kwa ligongo lyenunji. Ntendanje nnei kwa ngumbushila nne.”
20 In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
Nneyo peyo bhakalyanganjeje gubhatolile shikombe, gubhashite, “Ashino shikombe shino, sha malagano ga ambi gakong'ondelwa na minyai jangu jijitika kwa ligongo lyenunji.
21 But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
“Ikabheje, nnolanje! Andendebhuka jula pali na nne pamesha pepano.
22 and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
Kweli Mwana juka Mundu anakwenda bhulagwa malinga shiipanjilwe, ikabheje ole, mundu andendebhuka.”
23 And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
Penepo gubhatandubhenje kubhuyana ashaayene, gani shatende yeneyo.
24 And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
Na kabhili nikoposhela mitau munkumbi gwabonji, kuti gani shabhe nkulungwa kupunda bhananji.
25 And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
A Yeshu gubhaabhalanjilenje, “Bhapalume bha ilambo bhanakwaatagwalanga bhandu bhabhonji kwa mashili, ikabhe pubhaashemwanga ‘Bhamituka.’
26 but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
Ikabheje mmanganya, inabhe nneyo, ali nkulungwa jwenunji anapinjikwa abhe nshoko jwa bhowe, na ali kalongolele abhe malinga ntumishi.
27 for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
Igala jwei ali nkulungwa, atama kulya shalya, eu akolokoya jula? Penepo nkulungwa ni atama kulya! Ikabheje nne munkumbi gwetu muno, ni malinga ntumishi.”
28 And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
“Mmanganya ntemingene na nne mobha ga lingwa kwangu,
29 and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
na malinga atati shibhangamwiye upalume, nneyo peyo numbe nne ngunakunkamuyanga mmanganya.
30 that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Nkupinga nniyanganje na papila pamesha jangu, muupalume gwangu, na shintamangane mwiitengu ya ukulungwa kugaukumula makabhila kumi na gabhili ga Ishilaeli.”
31 And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
A Yeshu gubhashite “A Shimoni, a Shimoni! Mpilikane! Lishetani anapinga ampembulanje mmanganya mbuti ngano.
32 and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
Ikabheje nne ninnjujile mmwe a Shimoni, nkupinga ngulupai jenu jinapungushe. Na mmwe pushimmujilepo mwaataganje ntima ashaapwenu.”
33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
Na a Petili gubhaajangwile, “Mmakulungwa, nne apano nili tayali kwenda tabhwa kumagelesha, nkali kuwa na mmwe.”
34 and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
A Yeshu gubhaajangwile, “Ngunakummalanjila mmwe a Petili, lelo lipongo likanabhe kongobhela shinngane patatu.”
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
Kungai a Yeshu gubhaabhushiyenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Punantumilenje gwangali nng'uko gwa ela, wala nkobha gwa ilatu, mwatubhilwenje shoshowe?” Gubhajangwilenje, “Nng'oo twanngatubhilwa.”
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
Gubhaalugulilenje, “Ikabheje nnaino, jwene akwete nng'uko gwa ela jula ajigale, na akwete nkobha, nneyo peyo. Na jojowe jwangali upanga, aushe likoti lyakwe aume gumo.
37 for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
Ngunakummalanjilanga, ganapinjikwa gatimilile majandiko gaanugula nne kuti, ‘Bhashinkubhikwa likundi limo na bhaalebhanga,’ elo, gowe gajandikwe kunugula nne ganapinjikwa gamalile.”
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”
Na bhalabhonji gubhashitenje, “Mmakulungwa, nnole, apano jipali mipanga jibhili.” Na bhalabho gubhashite, “Bhai shijipwae.”
39 And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
Na malinga shibhayobhelele, a Yeshu gubhapite kushitumbi sha Misheituni, bhaajiganywa bhabho gubhaakagwilenje.
40 and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
Bhakaikanganeje kweneko gubhaalugulilenje, “Mwaajuganje a Nnungu nnajinjilanga mmalinjilo.”
41 And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
Kungai gubhaaleshilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, gubhapite kwa taliya kashoko kwa leshela mundu liganga kuika, gubhatindibhele nkwaajuga a Nnungu
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
bhalinkuti, “Atati, ibhaga nkupinga, nnjosheye shikombe sha mbotekoshi, nkali nneyo, itendeshe malinga shinkupinga mmwe, na wala nngabha malinga shingupinga nne.”
43 And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
Malaika kukopoka kunnungu akwaakoposhelega kukwaataga ntima.
44 and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
Bhali mmboteko ya kaje, gubhamindile kwaajuga a Nnungu, na matukuta gabho nibha mbuti mandondo ga minyai, galindolishila pai.
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
Bhakaajuganjeje a Nnungu, gubhabhujile kubhaajiganywa bhabho, gubhaaimenenje bhagonilenje lugono kwa totoshela nkuinjika.
46 and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Gubhaabhushiyenje, “Pakubha nnagonanga? Nnjumukanje maajuganje a Nnungu, nnajinjilanga mmalinjilo.”
47 And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
A Yeshu bhakanabhe peya kubheleketa, likundi lya bhandunji guliishe lililongoywa na Yuda, bha munkumbi gwa kumi na bhabhili bhala. A Yuda gubhaabhandishile a Yeshu nkupinga kwaalamba.
48 and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Ikabheje a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile, “A Yuda! Bhuli, nnakuntendebhuka Mwana juka Mundu kwa kunnamba?”
49 And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
Bhaajiganywa bhabho bhakabhonanjeje nneila gubhashitenje, “Mmakulungwa, tutole mipanga jetu twaakapanje?”
50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
Na jumo gwaleshele upanga mukantumishi jwa bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila, gwankatile likutu lya kunnilo.
51 and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
Penepo a Yeshu gubhashite, “Bhai nnekanje!” Gubhalikwashiye likutu lila, gubhannamiye.
52 And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
Kungai a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjilenje ashikalongolele bha bhaabhishila, na ashikalongolele bha bhalinda bha liekalu, na bhanangulungwa bhajilengene kukwakamula, “Bhuli, nnshikwiyangana kungamula na mipanga na ndonga mbuti nne nankupokonyola?
53 While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
Mobha gowe gunaliji na mmanganya nniekalu nkangamulanga nkangamulangaga. Ikabheje gegano ni malanga genunji, malanga ga upalume gwa lubhindu.”
54 And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
Bhai, gubhaakamulenje, gubhaatolilenje kwendanabhonji kwa akalongolele bha bhaabhishila. A Petili gubhakagwile nnyuma kwa kwaataliya.
55 and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
Moto gwashinkukumbanywa pakati lugwani, gwaatemingene penepo pamo, na a Petili pubhaaliji popo.
56 and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
Ntumishi jumo jwankongwe gwabhabhwene a Petili bhatemi tome pamoto, gwabhakolondolesheye meyo, nigwashite, “Abha bhandubha nnepeila pubhaliji na a Yeshu.”
57 And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
Ikabheje a Petili gubhakanile bhalinkuti, “Gwee! Nne ngakwaamanya.”
58 And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
Kashokope, mundu juna akwaabhonaga a Petili, nigwashite, “Numbe mmwe ni nkumbi gula.” Ikabheje a Petili gubhajangwile “Ika mmwe, nngabha nne!”
59 And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
Ikapiteje malanga ga shaa jimo, mundu juna gwakomelesheye, “Kweli abha bhandubha pubhaliji na a Yeshu, pabha na bhalabho Bhagalilaya.”
60 and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
Ikabheje a Petili gubhashite, “Ika mmwe, ngakwiimanya inkubheleketayo!” Na popo pepo, bhakanabhe maliya kubheleketa, lipongo gulikongobhele.
61 And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
Bhakulungwa gubhatendebhwishe nikwaalola a Petili, na bhalabho a Petili gubhakumbushile gubhabhalanjilwe na Bhakulungwa, “Lipongo likanabhe kongobhela lelo, shinngane patatu.”
62 and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
Penepo gubhakopweshe palanga gubhagutile kwa kaje.
63 And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
Bhandunji bhaabhikaangaga a Yeshu muulinda, gubhaakomilenje na kwaalembula.
64 and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
Gubhaatabhilenje shimbala kumeyo, nikwabhuyanga, “Nnondole! Ntulugulile gani ankomile.”
65 And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
Gubhaabheleketelenje malobhe gamagwinji ga matukano.
66 And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
Kukasheje, bhanangulungwa gubhaimenenje yani, ashikalongolele bha bhaabhishila na bhaajiganya bha shalia. A Yeshu gubhapelekwe kulukumbilo.
67 saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
Nigubhashitenje, “Ibhaga mmwe a Kilishitu ntubhalanjile?” A Yeshu gubhajangwile, “Nkali nimmalanjilangaga, nkakulupalilanga,
68 and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
nkali nimmuyanje nkanyangulanga.
69 from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
Ikabheje kutandubhila nnaino, Mwana juka Mundu shatame kunkono nnilo gwa Bhakulungwa a Nnungu Bhakwete Mashili.”
70 And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
Penepo bhowenji nigubhashitenje “Igala tutende mmwe bhanabhabho a Nnungu?” Na bhalabho gubhashite, “Mmanganya ninkutinji Nne ni Jwenejo.”
71 and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
Na bhalabhonji nigubhashitenje, “Bhuli, tupinga ukong'ondelo guna? Twaashayene tupilikene bhalibheleketa pa kang'wa jabho bhayene.”
