Luke 22
1 And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,
| בהתקרב חג הפסח חיפשו ראשי הכוהנים והסופרים דרך להיפטר מישוע בלי לעורר מהומות בעם – דבר שפחדו ממנו מאוד. |
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.
3 And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,
| אז נכנס השטן ביהודה איש קריות, שהיה אחד משנים־עשר תלמידי ישוע. |
4 and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,
| יהודה הלך אל ראשי הכוהנים ואל מפקדי משמר בית־המקדש כדי להתייעץ איתם כיצד להסגיר את ישוע לידיהם. |
5 and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,
| ראשי הכוהנים ומפקדי משמר בית־המקדש שמחו מאוד על העזרה שהציע להם יהודה, והבטיחו לו כסף. |
6 and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.
| מאותה עת חיפש יהודה הזדמנות להסגיר את ישוע לידיהם, כשלא יהיה בחברת אנשים רבים. |
7 And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,
| בהגיע חג הפסח, ביום שבו מקריבים זבח, |
8 and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
| שלח ישוע את פטרוס ויוחנן להכין את הסדר. |
9 and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
| ”היכן אתה רוצה שנכין את הסעודה?“שאלו את ישוע. |
10 And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
| ”בכניסה לירושלים תפגשו אדם נושא כד מים“, השיב ישוע.”לכו אחריו, היכנסו אל הבית שאליו יכנס |
11 and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
| ואמרו לבעל הבית:’רבנו ביקש שתראה לנו את חדר האורחים אשר הכנת לו ולתלמידיו בשביל הסדר‘. |
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
| הוא יוביל אתכם אל הקומה השנייה ויראה לכם חדר גדול שהכין למעננו. שם תכינו את הסעודה.“ |
13 and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
| פטרוס ויוחנן הלכו העירה; הכול התרחש בדיוק כפי שאמר ישוע, והם הכינו את הסדר. |
14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,
| מאוחר יותר הגיעו ישוע ושאר התלמידים, וכשהגיעה השעה התיישבו כולם סביב השולחן. |
15 and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
| ”נכספתי לאכול עמכם את סעודת הפסח לפני שאתייסר“, פתח ישוע ואמר: |
16 for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
| ”אני אומר לכם ששוב לא אוכל את סעודת הפסח, עד אשר תתקיים במלוא משמעותה במלכות האלוהים.“ |
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
| לאחר מכן לקח ישוע כוס יין, ברך ואמר:”קחו את היין ושתו ממנו כולכם. |
18 for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
| ”דעו לכם ששוב לא אשתה יין עד אשר תבוא מלכות האלוהים.“ |
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
| לאחר מכן הוא לקח כיכר לחם (מצה), הודה לאלוהים עליו, פרס את הלחם לפרוסות, נתן לתלמידיו ואמר:”זהו גופי הניתן בעדכם. עשו זאת לזיכרוני.“ |
20 In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
| בתום הסעודה הגיש להם ישוע עוד כוס יין ואמר:”כוס זאת מסמלת את הברית החדשה בין אלוהים לביניכם – ברית שנחתמה בדמי. |
21 But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
| אולם ליד השולחן יושב האיש שיסגיר אותי. |
22 and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
| בן־האדם הולך למות כפי שנגזר עליו, אולם אני אומר לכם: אוי לו לאיש שיסגיר אותו!“ |
23 And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
| התלמידים החלו לשאול זה את זה מי מהם עלול לעשות מעשה נורא שכזה. |
24 And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
| בין התלמידים התעורר ויכוח: מי מהם החשוב ביותר. |
25 And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
| אמר להם ישוע:”בעולמנו רודים המלכים והשליטים בנתיניהם, ובכל זאת אלה נחשבים לדורשים בטוב נתיניהם. |
26 but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
| אולם אצלכם המצב שונה; מי שמרבה לשרת אתכם הוא יהיה הגדול מביניכם, והמנהיג יהיה משרת. |
27 for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
| ומי נחשב גדול, מי שיושב בשולחן או מי שמשרת את מי שבשולחן? כמובן שהיושב בשולחן. ואילו אני ביניכם כמשרת. |
28 And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
| ”מאחר ששמרתם לי אמונים על־אף הצרות והקשיים, |
29 and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
| ומאחר שאבי הנחיל לי מלכות, הריני מעניק לכם בזאת את הזכות |
30 that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
| לאכול ולשתות על שולחני במלכותי, ולשבת על כסאות לשפוט את שנים־עשר שבטי ישראל.“ |
31 And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
| ”שמעון, שמעון, “המשיך האדון,”השטן דורש את כולכם, לסנן אתכם כמו חיטה. |
32 and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
| אבל התפללתי בעדך שלא תאבד את אמונתך. לאחר שתחזור בתשובה חזק את אחיך.“ |
33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
| ”אדוני, “קרא שמעון פטרוס,”אני מוכן ללכת איתך לבית־הסוהר ואף למות איתך!“ |
34 and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
| אולם ישוע ענה:”פטרוס, אני אומר לך שעוד היום, לפני קריאת התרנגול, תתכחש לי שלוש פעמים ותאמר שאינך מכיר אותי כלל. |
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
| ”כאשר שלחתי אתכם לבשר את הבשורה בלי כסף, בלי תרמיל ובלי נעליים האם חסרתם משהו?“המשיך ישוע.”לא חסר לנו דבר“, השיבו. |
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
| ”אבל עכשיו, “אמר להם ישוע,”למי שיש כסף ותרמיל שייקח אותם איתו; ולמי שאין חרב – שימכור את מעילו ויקנה אחת. |
37 for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
| כי הגיע המועד שתתקיים הנבואה הכתובה עלי:’הוא נימנה בין פושעים‘. כן, כל מה שכתבו עלי הנביאים יתקיים במלואו.“ |
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”
| ”אדון, “קראו התלמידים,”יש לנו כאן שתי חרבות.“”אלה מספיקות לכם“, השיב ישוע. |
39 And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
| לאחר מכן יצא ישוע מהעיר והלך אל הר הזיתים, כמנהגו מדי יום, והתלמידים הלכו בעקבותיו. |
40 and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
| בהגיעו אל המקום אמר ישוע לתלמידיו:”התפללו שלא תבואו לידי ניסיון.“ |
41 And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
| ישוע התרחק מתלמידיו מרחק־מה, כרע על ברכיו והתפלל: |
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
| ”אבי, אם יש ברצונך, אנא, הרחק ממני את כוס הייסורים. אולם אני רוצה שייעשה רצונך ולא רצוני!“ |
43 And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
| לאחר מכן נגלה אליו מלאך מן השמים וחיזק אותו. |
44 and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
| בגלל סבלו הרב הוא התפלל בדבקות רבה, וזיעתו נפלה על הארץ כטיפות דם גדולות. |
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
| כאשר סיים ישוע את תפילתו וחזר אל תלמידיו, מצא אותם ישנים מרוב צער ועייפות. |
46 and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
| ”מדוע אתם ישנים?“שאל ישוע.”קומו והתפללו שלא תבואו לידי ניסיון.“ |
47 And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
| בעודו מדבר התקרב אליו קהל גדול של אנשים ובראשם צעד יהודה, שהיה אחד מתלמידיו. יהודה קרב אל ישוע כדי לנשקו, |
48 and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
| אולם ישוע אמר לו:”יהודה, האם בנשיקה אתה עומד להסגיר את בן־האדם?“ |
49 And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
| כשראו התלמידים את העומד להתרחש שאלו את ישוע:”אדון, אתה רוצה שנכה אותם בחרבות שלנו?“ |
50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
| ואחד מהם קיצץ את אוזנו הימנית של עבד הכוהן הגדול. |
51 and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
| ישוע עצר בעדם ואמר:”הניחו להם לעשות את שלהם.“לאחר מכן נגע באוזנו של העבד וריפא אותה. |
52 And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
| ישוע פנה אל ראשי הכוהנים, מפקדי משמר בית־המקדש והזקנים שבאו לאסרו:”מדוע אתם באים אלי בחרבות ובמקלות, האם אני גנב או שודד? |
53 While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
| מדוע לא אסרתם אותי בבית־המקדש? הרי הייתי שם כל יום. אבל זוהי שעתכם, ושעת שלטון החושך.“ |
54 And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
| הם אסרו את ישוע והובילוהו אל בית הכוהן הגדול. פטרוס הלך אחריהם במרחק־מה, |
55 and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
| אולם הצטרף אליהם כשהדליקו מדורה בחצר והתיישבו סביבה. |
56 and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
| משרתת אחת הבחינה בפטרוס לאור המדורה. היא נעצה בו מבט וקראה:”האיש הזה היה עם ישוע!“ |
57 And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
| פטרוס הכחיש בתוקף את דבריה:”אישה, איני מכיר אותו כלל!“ |
58 And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
| כעבור זמן קצר הבחין מישהו אחר בפטרוס.”אתה ודאי אחד מהם!“אמר.”מה פתאום, “הכחיש פטרוס,”אינני אחד מהם!“ |
59 And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
| כעבור שעה בערך העיר אדם נוסף:”אין לי ספק שהאיש הזה היה עם ישוע, כי שניהם מהגליל.“ |
60 and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
| פטרוס הכחיש שוב:”בן־אדם, איני יודע על מה אתה מדבר!“לפני שסיים פטרוס את דבריו נשמעה קריאת התרנגול. |
61 And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
| באותו רגע פנה ישוע והביט בעיניו של פטרוס. אז נזכר פטרוס בדברי האדון:”לפני קריאת התרנגול תתכחש לי שלוש פעמים.“ |
62 and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
| הוא יצא מהחצר ומירר בבכי. |
63 And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
| החיילים שהופקדו על שמירת ישוע לעגו לו, הכו אותו והתעללו בו. |
64 and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
| הם קשרו את עיניו, הכו אותו באגרופים וקראו בלעג:”נביא שכמוך, נחש מי הכה אותך?“ |
65 And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
| הם המשיכו לקלל ולהעליב אותו. |
66 And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
| למחרת בבוקר הובא ישוע לפני חברי הסנהדרין, ראשי הכוהנים, הסופרים וזקני העם. |
67 saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
| ”האם אתה באמת המשיח?“שאלו אותו. אך ישוע השיב:”אם אגיד לכם, לא תאמינו לי, |
68 and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
| ואם אשאל אתכם שאלות לא תשיבו לי. |
69 from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
| אולם עוד מעט בן־האדם ישב לימין גבורת האלוהים.“ |
70 And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
| ”אם כך, בן־אלוהים אתה?“”אתם אמרתם שאני הוא“השיב ישוע. |
71 and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
| ”איננו זקוקים לעדויות נוספות!“הם קראו.”במו אוזנינו שמענו אותו אומר דברים אלה!“ |
