Luke 22
1 And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,
Mutta happamattoman leivän juhla, jota pääsiäiseksi sanotaan, oli lähellä.
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.
Ja ylipapit ja kirjanoppineet miettivät, kuinka saisivat hänet surmatuksi; sillä he pelkäsivät kansaa.
3 And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,
Niin saatana meni Juudaaseen, jota kutsuttiin Iskariotiksi ja joka oli yksi niistä kahdestatoista.
4 and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,
Ja tämä meni ja puhui ylipappien ja pyhäkön vartioston päällikköjen kanssa, miten hän saattaisi hänet heidän käsiinsä.
5 and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,
Ja he ihastuivat ja sitoutuivat antamaan hänelle rahaa.
6 and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.
Ja hän lupautui ja etsi sopivaa tilaisuutta kavaltaakseen hänet heille ilman melua.
7 And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,
Niin tuli se happamattoman leivän päivistä, jona pääsiäislammas oli teurastettava.
8 and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
Ja hän lähetti Pietarin ja Johanneksen sanoen: "Menkää ja valmistakaa meille pääsiäislammas syödäksemme".
9 and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
Niin he kysyivät häneltä: "Mihin tahdot, että valmistamme sen?"
10 And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
Hän vastasi heille: "Katso, saapuessanne kaupunkiin tulee teitä vastaan mies kantaen vesiastiaa; seuratkaa häntä siihen taloon, johon hän menee,
11 and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
ja sanokaa talon isännälle: 'Opettaja sanoo sinulle: Missä on vierashuone, syödäkseni siinä pääsiäislampaan opetuslasteni kanssa?'
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
Niin hän näyttää teille suuren, aterioiville varustetun huoneen yläkerrassa; sinne valmistakaa."
13 and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
Ja he menivät ja havaitsivat niin olevan, kuin Jeesus oli heille sanonut, ja valmistivat pääsiäislampaan.
14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,
Ja kun hetki tuli, asettui hän aterialle ja apostolit hänen kanssansa.
15 and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
Ja hän sanoi heille: "Minä olen halajamalla halannut syödä tämän pääsiäislampaan teidän kanssanne, ennenkuin minä kärsin;
16 for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
sillä minä sanon teille, etten minä sitä enää syö, ennenkuin sen täyttymys tapahtuu Jumalan valtakunnassa".
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
Ja hän otti maljan, kiitti ja sanoi: "Ottakaa tämä ja jakakaa keskenänne.
18 for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
Sillä minä sanon teille: tästedes minä en juo viinipuun antia, ennenkuin Jumalan valtakunta tulee."
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
Ja hän otti leivän, kiitti, mursi ja antoi heille ja sanoi: "Tämä on minun ruumiini, joka teidän edestänne annetaan. Tehkää se minun muistokseni."
20 In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
Samoin myös maljan, aterian jälkeen, ja sanoi: "Tämä malja on uusi liitto minun veressäni, joka teidän edestänne vuodatetaan.
21 But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
Mutta, katso, minun kavaltajani käsi on minun kanssani pöydällä.
22 and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
Sillä Ihmisen Poika tosin menee pois, niinkuin säädetty on; mutta voi sitä ihmistä, jonka kautta hänet kavalletaan!"
23 And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
Ja he rupesivat keskenänsä kyselemään, kuka heistä mahtoi olla se, joka oli tämän tekevä.
24 And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
Ja heidän välillään syntyi myös kiista siitä, kuka heistä oli katsottava suurimmaksi.
25 And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
Niin hän sanoi heille: "Kansojen kuninkaat herroina niitä hallitsevat, ja niiden valtiaita sanotaan hyväntekijöiksi.
26 but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
Mutta älkää te niin; vaan joka teidän keskuudessanne on suurin, se olkoon niinkuin nuorin, ja johtaja niinkuin se, joka palvelee.
27 for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
Sillä kumpi on suurempi, sekö, joka aterioi, vai se, joka palvelee? Eikö se, joka aterioi? Mutta minä olen teidän keskellänne niinkuin se, joka palvelee.
28 And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
Mutta te olette pysyneet minun kanssani minun kiusauksissani;
29 and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
ja minä säädän teille, niinkuin minun Isäni on minulle säätänyt, kuninkaallisen vallan,
30 that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
niin että te saatte syödä ja juoda minun pöydässäni minun valtakunnassani ja istua valtaistuimilla ja tuomita Israelin kahtatoista sukukuntaa.
31 And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
Simon, Simon, katso, saatana on tavoitellut teitä valtaansa, seuloakseen teitä niinkuin nisuja;
32 and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
mutta minä olen rukoillut sinun puolestasi, ettei sinun uskosi raukeaisi tyhjään. Ja kun sinä kerran palajat, niin vahvista veljiäsi."
33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
Niin Simon sanoi hänelle: "Herra, sinun kanssasi minä olen valmis menemään sekä vankeuteen että kuolemaan".
34 and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
Mutta hän sanoi: "Minä sanon sinulle, Pietari: ei laula tänään kukko, ennenkuin sinä kolmesti kiellät tuntevasi minua."
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
Ja hän sanoi heille: "Kun minä lähetin teidät ilman rahakukkaroa ja laukkua ja kenkiä, puuttuiko teiltä mitään?" He vastasivat: "Ei mitään".
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
Niin hän sanoi heille: "Mutta nyt, jolla on kukkaro, ottakoon sen mukaansa; niin myös laukun. Ja jolla ei ole, myyköön vaippansa ja ostakoon miekan.
37 for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
Sillä minä sanon teille, että minussa pitää käymän toteen tämän, mikä kirjoitettu on: 'Ja hänet luettiin pahantekijäin joukkoon'. Sillä se, mikä minusta on sanottu, on täyttynyt."
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”
Niin he sanoivat: "Herra, katso, tässä on kaksi miekkaa". Mutta hän vastasi heille: "Riittää".
39 And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
Ja hän meni ulos ja lähti tapansa mukaan Öljymäelle, ja hänen opetuslapsensa seurasivat häntä.
40 and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
Ja tultuaan siihen paikkaan hän sanoi heille: "Rukoilkaa, ettette joutuisi kiusaukseen".
41 And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
Ja hän vetäytyi heistä noin kivenheiton päähän, laskeutui polvilleen ja rukoili
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
sanoen: "Isä, jos sinä tahdot, niin ota pois minulta tämä malja; älköön kuitenkaan tapahtuko minun tahtoni, vaan sinun".
43 And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
Niin hänelle ilmestyi taivaasta enkeli, joka vahvisti häntä.
44 and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
Ja kun hän oli suuressa tuskassa, rukoili hän yhä hartaammin. Ja hänen hikensä oli niinkuin veripisarat, jotka putosivat maahan.
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
Ja kun hän nousi rukoilemasta ja meni opetuslastensa tykö, tapasi hän heidät murheen tähden nukkumasta.
46 and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Niin hän sanoi heille: "Miksi te nukutte? Nouskaa ja rukoilkaa, ettette joutuisi kiusaukseen."
47 And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
Ja katso, hänen vielä puhuessaan tuli joukko kansaa, ja yksi niistä kahdestatoista, se, jonka nimi oli Juudas, kulki heidän edellään. Ja hän tuli Jeesuksen luo antamaan hänelle suuta.
48 and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Mutta Jeesus sanoi hänelle: "Juudas, suunantamisellako sinä Ihmisen Pojan kavallat?"
49 And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
Kun nyt ne, jotka olivat hänen ympärillään, näkivät, mitä oli tulossa, sanoivat he: "Herra, iskemmekö miekalla?"
50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
Ja eräs heistä iski ylimmäisen papin palvelijaa ja sivalsi häneltä pois oikean korvan.
51 and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
Mutta Jeesus vastasi sanoen: "Sallikaa vielä tämäkin". Ja hän koski hänen korvaansa ja paransi hänet.
52 And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
Niin Jeesus sanoi ylipapeille ja pyhäkön vartioston päälliköille ja vanhimmille, jotka olivat tulleet häntä vastaan: "Niinkuin ryöväriä vastaan te olette lähteneet miekat ja seipäät käsissä.
53 While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
Minä olen joka päivä ollut teidän kanssanne pyhäkössä, ettekä ole ojentaneet käsiänne minua vastaan. Mutta tämä on teidän hetkenne ja pimeyden valta."
54 And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
Niin he ottivat hänet kiinni ja kuljettivat pois ja veivät hänet ylimmäisen papin taloon. Ja Pietari seurasi taampana.
55 and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
Ja he virittivät valkean keskelle esipihaa ja asettuivat yhdessä istumaan, ja Pietari istui heidän joukkoonsa.
56 and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
Niin eräs palvelijatar, nähdessään hänen istuvan tulen ääressä, katseli häntä kiinteästi ja sanoi: "Tämäkin oli hänen kanssaan".
57 And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
Mutta hän kielsi sanoen: "Nainen, en tunne häntä".
58 And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
Ja hetkisen perästä näki hänet toinen, eräs mies, ja sanoi: "Sinäkin olet yksi niistä". Mutta Pietari sanoi: "Mies, en ole".
59 And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
Ja noin yhden hetken kuluttua vakuutti vielä toinen sanoen: "Totisesti, tämä oli myös hänen kanssaan; sillä onhan hän galilealainenkin".
60 and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
Mutta Pietari sanoi: "En ymmärrä, mies, mitä sanot". Ja samassa, hänen vielä puhuessaan, lauloi kukko.
61 And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
Ja Herra kääntyi ja katsoi Pietariin; ja Pietari muisti Herran sanat, kuinka hän oli hänelle sanonut: "Ennenkuin kukko tänään laulaa, sinä kolmesti minut kiellät".
62 and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
Ja hän meni ulos ja itki katkerasti.
63 And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
Ja miehet, jotka pitivät Jeesusta kiinni, pilkkasivat häntä ja pieksivät häntä.
64 and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
Ja he peittivät hänen kasvonsa ja kysyivät häneltä sanoen: "Profetoi, kuka se on, joka sinua löi!"
65 And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
Ja paljon muita herjaussanoja he puhuivat häntä vastaan.
66 And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
Ja päivän valjetessa kansan vanhimmat ja ylipapit ja kirjanoppineet kokoontuivat ja veivät hänet neuvostonsa eteen
67 saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
ja sanoivat: "Jos sinä olet Kristus, niin sano se meille". Hän vastasi heille: "Jos minä teille sanon, niin te ette usko;
68 and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
ja jos kysyn, ette vastaa.
69 from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
Mutta tästedes Ihmisen Poika on istuva Jumalan voiman oikealla puolella."
70 And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
Silloin he kaikki sanoivat: "Sinä siis olet Jumalan Poika?" Hän vastasi heille: "Tepä sen sanotte, että minä olen".
71 and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
Niin he sanoivat: "Mitä me enää todistusta tarvitsemme? Sillä me itse olemme kuulleet sen hänen omasta suustansa."
