Luke 22
1 And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,

2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.

3 And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,

4 and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,

5 and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,

6 and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.

7 And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,

8 and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
Jeesus saatis Peetruse ja Johannese ning ütles neile: „Minge ja valmistage paasapüha söömaaeg, nii et me saaksime seda koos süüa.“
9 and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
Nad küsisid talt: „Kus sa tahad, et me selle sulle valmistaksime?“
10 And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
Ta vastas: „Kui te jõuate linna, kohtate üht veekannu kandvat meest. Minge talle järele ja astuge majja, kuhu ta sisse läheb.
11 and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
Öelge majaomanikule, et Õpetaja küsib talt: „Kus on söögituba, kus ma saaksin koos oma jüngritega paasapüha söömaaega süüa?“
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
Ta näitab teile suurt ülemise korruse tuba, kus on vajalik sisustus juba olemas. Valmistage söömaaeg seal.“
13 and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
Nad läksid ja leidsid, et kõik oli täpselt nii, nagu ta neile öelnud oli, ning nad valmistasid seal paasapüha söömaaja.
14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,

15 and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
„Ma olen tõesti oodanud, et saaksin koos teiega seda paasapüha söömaaega süüa, enne kui mu kannatused algavad.
16 for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
Ma ütlen teile, ma ei söö seda enam uuesti, kuni aeg saab täis Jumala riigis.“
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
Jeesus võttis karika, ja kui ta oli tänanud, ütles ta: „Võtke see ja jagage omavahel.
18 for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
Ma ütlen teile, et ma ei joo viinapuu viljast enam enne, kui Jumala riik tuleb.“
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
Ta võttis veidi leiba, ja kui ta oli tänanud, murdis selle tükkideks ja andis neile. „See on minu ihu, mis on antud teie eest; tehke seda, et mind meeles pidada, “ütles Jeesus neile.
20 In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
Samamoodi võttis ta pärast õhtusöögi lõpetamist karika ja ütles: „See karikas on uus leping minu veres, mis on teie eest välja valatud.“
21 But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
„Hoolimata sellest istub mu äraandja siinsamas lauas minuga koos.
22 and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
Sest on määratud, et inimese Poeg sureb, aga kui hukatuslik on see tema äraandja jaoks!“
23 And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
Nad hakkasid isekeskis arutlema, et kes see võiks olla ja kes suudaks seda teha.
24 And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
Samal ajal hakkasid nad ka vaidlema, kes neist on kõige tähtsam.
25 And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
Jeesus rääkis neile: „Võõramaa kuningad valitsevad oma alamate üle ja need, kellel on võim, tahavad, et inimesed nimetaksid neid heategijaks.
26 but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
Aga teiega ei tohiks nii olla! Kes iganes on teie hulgas kõrgeim, see peaks olema madalaim, ja juht peaks olema nagu teenija.
27 for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
Kes on suurem: kas see, kes istub lauas, või see, kes teenib? Kas mitte see, kes istub lauas? Aga mina olen teie keskel nagu see, kes teenib.
28 And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
Te olete jäänud minuga mu katsumuste keskel.
29 and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
Ja just nagu minu Isa andis mulle õiguse valitseda, annan ma ka teile selle õiguse,
30 that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
nii et te võiksite süüa ja juua mu kuningriigis minu lauas ning istuda troonil ja mõista kohut Iisraeli kaheteistkümne suguharu üle.“
31 And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
„Siimon, Siimon, Saatan on tahtnud lasta teid kõiki sõeluda nagu nisu,
32 and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
aga ma olen sinu eest palunud, et su usk minusse ei lõpeks. Ja kui sa pöördud, siis julgusta oma vendi.“
33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
Peetrus ütles: „Issand, ma olen valmis minema sinuga koos vanglasse ja surma!“
34 and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
Jeesus vastas: „Ma ütlen sulle, Peetrus, enne kui kukk täna kireb, salgad sa kolm korda, et sa mind üldse tunned.“
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
Jeesus küsis neilt: „Kui ma läkitasin teid välja ilma raha, koti ja varusandaalideta, kas teil oli siis millestki puudus?“„Ei, mitte millestki, “vastasid nad.
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
„Aga nüüd, kui teil on raha, peaksite selle võtma, samuti koti, ja kui teil ei ole mõõka, müüge kuub ära ja ostke mõõk.
37 for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
Ma ütlen teile, et see väide minu kohta Pühakirjas peab täide minema: „Ta arvati patuste hulka.“Nüüd läheb täide see, mida on minu kohta öeldud.“
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”

39 And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
Jeesus lahkus ja läks nagu tavaliselt koos oma jüngritega Õlimäele.
40 and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
Kui nad kohale jõudsid, ütles ta neile: „Palvetage, et te kiusatusele järele ei annaks.“
41 And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
Siis lahkus ta neist ja läks umbes kiviviske kaugusele, kus ta põlvitas maha ja palvetas.
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
„Isa, “palvetas ta, „kui sa tahad, siis palun võta see kannatuste karikas minult ära. Aga ma tahan teha seda, mida tahad sina, mitte seda, mida tahan mina.“
43 And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
Siis ilmus taevast ingel, et talle jõudu anda.
44 and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
Suures ängistuses palvetas Jeesus veel enam ning tema higi langes maapinnale nagu verepiiskadena.
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
Ta lõpetas palvetamise, tõusis püsti ja läks jüngrite juurde. Ta leidis nad kurvastusest väsinuna magamas.
46 and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
„Miks te magate?“küsis ta neilt. „Tõuske üles ja palvetage, et te kiusatusse ei langeks.“
47 And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
Kui ta alles rääkis, ilmus välja rahvahulk, keda juhtis Juudas, üks kaheteistkümnest jüngrist. Juudas läks Jeesuse juurde, et teda suudelda.
48 and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Aga Jeesus küsis temalt: „Juudas, kas sa annad inimese Poja suudlusega ära?“
49 And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
Jeesuse järelkäijad küsisid talt: „Issand, kas peaksime neid mõõkadega ründama?“
50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
Ja üks neist lõi ülempreestri sulast, nii et lõikas tema parema kõrva küljest ära.
51 and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
„Lõpetage! Aitab sellest!“ütles Jeesus. Ta puudutas mehe kõrva ja tegi ta terveks.
52 And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
Seejärel rääkis Jeesus ülempreestrite, templivalvurite ja vanematega. „Kas ma olen mingisugune kurjategija, et pidite tulema mõõkade ja nuiadega?“küsis ta.
53 While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
„Te ei võtnud mind kinni varem, kui ma olin iga päev koos teiega templis. Aga see on praegu teie hetk, aeg, mil pimedus võimutseb.“
54 And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
Nad võtsid ta kinni ja viisid ülempreestri majja. Peetrus järgnes eemalt.
55 and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
Nad tegid õue keskele tule ja istusid selle juurde. Peetrus oli seal nende hulgas.
56 and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
Kui ta seal istus, märkas üks teenijatüdruk teda tule valgel, vaatas ainiti ja ütles:
57 And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
„See mees oli temaga koos.“Kuid Peetrus salgas seda. „Naine, ma ei tunne teda!“ütles ta.
58 And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
Veidi aega hiljem vaatas teda keegi teine ja ütles: „Sina oled ka üks neist.“„Ei, ei ole!“vastas Peetrus.
59 And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
Umbes tunni aja pärast väitis järgmine inimene: „Ma olen kindel, et ka tema oli koos temaga – ta on galilealane.“
60 and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
„Mul pole aimugi, millest sa räägid!“vastas Peetrus. Just siis, kui ta alles rääkis, kires kukk. Issand pöördus ja vaatas Peetrusele otsa.
61 And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
Ja Peetrusele tuli meelde, mida Issand oli öelnud, kuidas ta oli talle rääkinud: „Enne kui kukk täna kireb, salgad sa mind kolm korda.“
62 and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
Peetrus läks välja ja nuttis kibedasti.
63 And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
Jeesust valvavad mehed hakkasid teda mõnitama ja peksma.
64 and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
Nad sidusid ta silmad kinni ja küsisid siis talt: „Kui sa oskad prohvetlikult kuulutada, siis ütle meile, kes sind seekord lõi!“
65 And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
ja nad karjusid talle palju teisi solvanguid.
66 And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
Hommikul vara kogunes vanemate nõukogu koos ülempreestrite ja vaimulike õpetajatega. Jeesus viidi nõukogu ette.
67 saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
„Kui sa tõesti oled Messias, siis ütle meile, “ütlesid nad. „Isegi kui ma teile ütleksin, ei usuks te mind, “vastas Jeesus.
68 and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
„Ja kui ma esitaksin teile küsimuse, siis te ei vastaks.
69 from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
Aga nüüdsest peale istub inimese Poeg vägeva Jumala paremal käel.“
70 And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
Nad kõik küsisid: „Nii et sa oled Jumala poeg?“„Teie ütlete, et ma olen, “vastas Jeesus.
71 and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
„Miks on meil veel tunnistajaid vaja?“ütlesid nad. „Oleme seda ise tema enda suust kuulnud!“
