Luke 22
1 And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,
| ܩܪܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܕܥܕܐ ܕܦܛܝܪܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܦܨܚܐ |
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.
| ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܤܦܪܐ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܢܩܛܠܘܢܝܗܝ ܕܚܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܥܡܐ |
3 And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,
| ܥܠ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܤܛܢܐ ܒܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܤܟܪܝܘܛܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܬܪܥܤܪ |
4 and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,
| ܘܐܙܠ ܡܠܠ ܥܡ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܤܦܪܐ ܘܪܒܝ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܫܠܡܝܘܗܝ ܠܗܘܢ |
5 and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,
| ܘܚܕܝܘ ܘܐܩܝܡܘ ܕܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܗ ܟܤܦܐ |
6 and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.
| ܘܐܫܬܘܕܝ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܦܠܥܐ ܕܢܫܠܡܝܘܗܝ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܠܥܕ ܡܢ ܟܢܫܐ |
7 And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,
| ܘܡܛܝ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܦܛܝܪܐ ܕܒܗ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܥܝܕܐ ܕܢܬܢܟܤ ܦܨܚܐ |
8 and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
| ܘܫܕܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܙܠܘ ܛܝܒܘ ܠܢ ܦܨܚܐ ܕܢܠܥܤ |
9 and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
| ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܐܝܟܐ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܕܢܛܝܒ |
10 And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܐ ܡܐ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܦܓܥ ܒܟܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܫܩܝܠ ܓܪܒܐ ܕܡܝܐ ܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ |
11 and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
| ܘܐܝܟܐ ܕܥܐܠ ܐܡܪܘ ܠܡܪܗ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܪܒܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܝܢܘ ܒܝܬ ܡܫܪܝܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܟܘܠ ܦܨܚܐ ܥܡ ܬܠܡܝܕܝ |
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
| ܘܗܐ ܗܘ ܡܚܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܠܝܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܕܡܫܘܝܐ ܬܡܢ ܛܝܒܘ |
13 and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
| ܘܐܙܠܘ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܛܝܒܘ ܦܨܚܐ |
14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,
| ܘܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܥܕܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܤܬܡܟ ܘܬܪܥܤܪ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܥܡܗ |
15 and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܪܓܬܐ ܪܓܬܢܝ ܕܗܢܐ ܦܨܚܐ ܐܟܘܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܐܚܫ |
16 for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
| ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܟܝܠ ܠܐ ܐܟܠܝܘܗܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܫܠܡ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ |
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
| ܘܢܤܒ ܟܤܐ ܘܐܘܕܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܤܒܘ ܗܢܐ ܘܦܠܓܘ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ |
18 for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
| ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܬܐ ܡܢ ܝܠܕܐ ܕܓܦܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܐܬܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ |
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
| ܘܢܤܒ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܐܘܕܝ ܘܩܨܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܢܘ ܦܓܪܝ ܕܥܠ ܐܦܝܟܘܢ ܡܬܝܗܒ ܗܕܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܠܕܘܟܪܢܝ |
20 In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
| ܘܗܟܘܬ ܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܤܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܐܚܫܡܘ ܐܡܪ ܗܢܐ ܟܤܐ ܕܝܬܩܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܒܕܡܝ ܕܚܠܦܝܟܘܢ ܡܬܐܫܕ |
21 But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
| ܒܪܡ ܗܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܫܠܡܢܝ ܥܠ ܦܬܘܪܐ |
22 and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
| ܘܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܬܦܪܫ ܒܪܡ ܘܝ ܠܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܒܐܝܕܗ ܡܫܬܠܡ |
23 And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
| ܘܫܪܝܘ ܕܢܥܩܒܘܢ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܕܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܗܕܐ ܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܤܥܪ |
24 And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
| ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܚܪܝܢܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܐܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܕܪܒ |
25 And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܠܟܝܗܘܢ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܡܪܝܗܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܕܫܠܝܛܝܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܥܒܕܝ ܛܒܬܐ ܡܬܩܪܝܢ |
26 but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
| ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܪܒ ܒܟܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܪܫܐ ܗܘ ܐܝܟ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ |
27 for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
| ܡܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܪܒ ܗܘ ܕܤܡܝܟ ܐܘ ܗܘ ܕܡܫܡܫ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܗܘ ܕܤܡܝܟ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܝ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܕܡܫܡܫ |
28 And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
| ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܬܪܬܘܢ ܠܘܬܝ ܒܢܤܝܘܢܝ |
29 and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
| ܘܐܢܐ ܡܫܬܘܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܫܬܘܕܝ ܠܝ ܐܒܝ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ |
30 that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
| ܕܬܐܟܠܘܢ ܘܬܫܬܘܢ ܥܠ ܦܬܘܪܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܝܠܝ ܘܬܬܒܘܢ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܤܘܬܐ ܘܬܕܘܢܘܢ ܬܪܥܤܪ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܐܝܤܪܝܠ |
31 And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
| ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܗܐ ܤܛܢܐ ܫܐܠ ܕܢܥܪܘܒܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܚܛܐ |
32 and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
| ܘܐܢܐ ܒܥܝܬ ܥܠܝܟ ܕܠܐ ܬܚܤܪ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟ ܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܒܙܒܢ ܐܬܦܢܝ ܘܫܪܪ ܐܚܝܟ |
33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
| ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝ ܥܡܟ ܡܛܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܘܠܡܘܬܐ |
34 and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܠܬ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܬܟܦܘܪ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ |
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܫܕܪܬܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܟܝܤܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܬܪܡܠܐ ܘܡܤܢܐ ܠܡܐ ܚܤܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܕܡ |
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܟܝܤܐ ܢܤܒ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܬܪܡܠܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܤܝܦܐ ܢܙܒܢ ܢܚܬܗ ܘܢܙܒܢ ܠܗ ܤܝܦܐ |
37 for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
| ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܦ ܗܕܐ ܕܟܬܝܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܬܬܡܠܐ ܒܝ ܕܥܡ ܥܘܠܐ ܐܬܡܢܐ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܝ ܐܫܬܠܡ |
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”
| ܘܗܢܘܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܐܝܬ ܬܪܝܢ ܤܝܦܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܤܦܩܝܢ |
39 And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
| ܘܢܦܩ ܘܐܙܠ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܥܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܙܝܬܐ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ ܐܦ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ |
40 and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
| ܘܟܕ ܡܛܝ ܠܕܘܟܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܨܠܘ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܤܝܘܢܐ |
41 And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
| ܘܗܘ ܦܪܩ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܫܕܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܤܡ ܒܘܪܟܘܗܝ ܘܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܐ |
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
| ܘܐܡܪ ܐܒܐ ܐܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܢܥܒܪܢܝ ܟܤܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܪܡ ܠܐ ܨܒܝܢܝ ܐܠܐ ܕܝܠܟ ܢܗܘܐ |
43 And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
| ܘܐܬܚܙܝ ܠܗ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܕܡܚܝܠ ܠܗ |
44 and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
| ܘܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܒܕܚܠܬܐ ܬܟܝܒܐܝܬ ܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܘܗܘܬ ܕܘܥܬܗ ܐܝܟ ܫܠܬܐ ܕܕܡܐ ܘܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ |
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
| ܘܩܡ ܡܢ ܨܠܘܬܗ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܡܢ ܥܩܬܐ |
46 and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܘܡܘ ܨܠܘ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܤܝܘܢܐ |
47 And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
| ܘܥܕ ܗܘ ܡܡܠܠ ܗܐ ܟܢܫܐ ܘܗܘ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܬܪܥܤܪ ܐܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܘܩܪܒ ܠܘܬ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܢܫܩܗ ܗܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܐ ܝܗܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܐܝܢܐ ܕܢܫܩ ܐܢܐ ܗܘܝܘ |
48 and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܒܢܘܫܩܬܐ ܡܫܠܡ ܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ |
49 And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
| ܟܕ ܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܡܗ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܢܡܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܤܝܦܐ |
50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
| ܘܡܚܐ ܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܠܥܒܕܗ ܕܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܢܤܒܗ ܐܕܢܗ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ |
51 and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
| ܥܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܟܕܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܕܐ ܘܩܪܒ ܠܐܕܢܗ ܕܗܘ ܕܒܠܥ ܘܐܤܝܗ |
52 And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
| ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܐܬܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܩܫܝܫܐ ܘܪܒܝ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܠ ܠܤܛܝܐ ܢܦܩܬܘܢ ܥܠܝ ܒܤܝܦܐ ܘܒܚܘܛܪܐ ܕܬܐܚܕܘܢܢܝ |
53 While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
| ܟܠܝܘܡ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܘܫܛܬܘܢ ܥܠܝ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܗܕܐ ܗܝ ܫܥܬܟܘܢ ܘܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܕܚܫܘܟܐ |
54 And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
| ܘܐܚܕܘ ܐܝܬܝܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܫܡܥܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܬܪܗ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܩܐ |
55 and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
| ܐܘܚܕܘ ܕܝܢ ܢܘܪܐ ܡܨܥܬ ܕܪܬܐ ܘܝܬܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܚܕܪܝܗ ܘܝܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ |
56 and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
| ܘܚܙܬܗ ܥܠܝܡܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܕܝܬܒ ܠܘܬ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܚܪܬ ܒܗ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܐܦ ܗܢܐ ܥܡܗ ܗܘܐ |
57 And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܟܦܪ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܗ |
58 And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
| ܘܒܬܪ ܩܠܝܠ ܚܙܝܗܝ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܢܬ ܟܐܦܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ |
59 And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
| ܘܒܬܪ ܫܥܐ ܚܕܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܬܚܪܐ ܗܘܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܦ ܗܢܐ ܥܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܐܦ ܓܠܝܠܝܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ |
60 and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
| ܐܡܪ ܟܐܦܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܟܕ ܗܘ ܡܡܠܠ ܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ |
61 And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
| ܘܐܬܦܢܝ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܚܪ ܒܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܬܕܟܪ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܩܕܡ ܕܢܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ ܬܟܦܘܪ ܒܝ ܬܠܬ ܙܒܢܝܢ |
62 and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
| ܘܢܦܩ ܠܒܪ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܒܟܐ ܡܪܝܪܐܝܬ |
63 And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
| ܘܓܒܪܐ ܕܐܚܝܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܒܙܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗ ܘܡܚܦܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ |
64 and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
| ܘܡܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܥܠ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܬܢܒܐ ܡܢܘ ܡܚܟ |
65 And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
| ܘܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܤܓܝܐܬܐ ܡܓܕܦܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ |
66 And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
| ܘܟܕ ܢܓܗܬ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܘܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܤܦܪܐ ܘܐܤܩܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܬ ܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ |
67 saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
| ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܢ ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢܢܝ |
68 and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
| ܘܐܢ ܐܫܐܠܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܡܦܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܐܘ ܫܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝ |
69 from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
| ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܝܬܒ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ |
70 And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
| ܐܡܪܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ |
71 and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
| ܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܘܒ ܡܬܒܥܝܢ ܠܢ ܤܗܕܐ ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܫܡܥܢ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ |
