Luke 20
1 And it came to pass, on one of those days, as He is teaching the people in the temple, and proclaiming good news, the chief priests and the scribes, with the elders, came on [Him],
൧ഒരു ദിവസം അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ജനത്തോടു ഉപദേശിച്ചു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ മഹാപുരോഹിതരും ശാസ്ത്രികളും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി അടുത്തുവന്ന് അവനോട്:
2 and spoke to Him, saying, “Tell us by what authority You do these things? Or who is he that gave to You this authority?”
൨നീ എന്ത് അധികാരംകൊണ്ട് ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഈ അധികാരം നിനക്ക് തന്നതു ആർ? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 And He answering said to them, “I will question you—I also—one thing, and tell Me:
൩അതിന് അവൻ ഉത്തരമായി: ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്ക് ചോദിക്കും; അത് എന്നോട് പറവിൻ.
4 the immersion of John, was it from Heaven, or from men?”
൪യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we may say, From Heaven, He will say, Why, then, did you not believe him?
൫അവർ തമ്മിൽ ആലോചിച്ചു: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തത് എന്ത് എന്നു യേശു ചോദിക്കും.
6 And if we may say, From men, all the people will stone us, for they are having been persuaded John to be a prophet.”
൬മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ യോഹന്നാൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ജനം വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട്:
7 And they answered that they did not know from where [it was],
൭എവിടെ നിന്നെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
8 and Jesus said to them, “Neither do I say to you by what authority I do these things.”
൮യേശു അവരോട്: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്ത് അധികാരം കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളത് ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
9 And He began to speak to the people this allegory: “A certain man planted a vineyard, and gave it out to farmers, and went abroad for a long time,
൯പിന്നീട് അവൻ ജനത്തോടു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞു: ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി. അവൻ അത് കുടിയാന്മാരെപാട്ടത്തിന്ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ട് കുറേക്കാലം അന്യദേശത്ത് പോയി പാർത്തു.
10 and at the season he sent a servant to the farmers, that they may give to him from the fruit of the vineyard, but the farmers having beat him, sent [him] away empty.
൧൦സമയമായപ്പോൾ കുടിയാന്മാരോട് തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഫലം വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന് അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു; അവനെ കുടിയാന്മാർ തല്ലി വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
11 And he added to send another servant, and they also having beaten and dishonored that one, sent [him] away empty;
൧൧അവൻ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെയും അവർ തല്ലി അപമാനിച്ചു വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
12 and he added to send a third, and this one also, having wounded, they cast out.
൧൨അവൻ മൂന്നാമതു ഒരാളെയും കൂടെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവർ അവനെയും മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
13 And the owner of the vineyard said, What will I do? I will send my son, the beloved, perhaps having seen this one, they will respect [him];
൧൩അപ്പോൾ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ: ഞാൻ ഇനി എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രനെ അയയ്ക്കാം; ഒരുപക്ഷേ അവർ അവനോട് ആദരവ് കാണിച്ചേക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 and having seen him, the farmers reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir; come, we may kill him, that the inheritance may become ours;
൧൪കുടിയാന്മാർ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ട്: ഇവൻ അവകാശി ആകുന്നു; നമുക്കു അവനെ കൊന്നുകളയാം. അപ്പോൾ അവകാശം നമുക്കു ലഭിക്കും എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ ആലോചിച്ചു.
15 and having cast him outside of the vineyard, they killed [him]; what, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
൧൫കുടിയാന്മാർ അവനെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ അവരോട് എന്ത് ചെയ്യും?
16 He will come, and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” And having heard, they said, “Let it not be!”
൧൬അവൻ വന്നു ആ കുടിയാന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും തോട്ടം മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. അത് കേട്ടിട്ട് അവർ: ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും സംഭവിക്കരുതേ! എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 And He, having looked on them, said, “What, then, is this that has been written: A stone that the builders rejected—this became head of a corner?
൧൭അവനോ അവരെ നോക്കി: “എന്നാൽ വീടുപണിയുന്നവർ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ല് മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീർന്നു”എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്തിനാണ്?
18 Everyone who has fallen on that stone will be broken, and on whom it may fall, it will crush him to pieces.”
൧൮ആ കല്ലിന്മേൽ വീഴുന്ന ഏവനും തകർന്നുപോകും; അത് ആരുടെമേൽ എങ്കിലും വീണാൽ അത് അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
19 And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him in that hour, and they feared the people, for they knew that He spoke this allegory against them.
൧൯ഈ ഉപമ തങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രികളും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട് അപ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവനെ ബന്ധിയ്ക്കുവാൻ നോക്കി; എങ്കിലും ജനങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതു കൊണ്ട് അത് ചെയ്തില്ല.
20 And having watched [Him], they sent forth ones lying in wait, feigning themselves to be righteous, that they might take hold of His word, to deliver Him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor,
൨൦പിന്നെ അവർ നീതിമാന്മാർ എന്നു സ്വയം ഭാവിക്കുന്ന ഒറ്റുകാരെ അയച്ചു. അവർ അവനെ വാക്കിൽ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന് തക്കം നോക്കി. അങ്ങനെ ഗവർണ്ണറുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലും അധികാരത്തിലും ഏല്പിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.
21 and they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, we have known that You say and teach correctly, and do not receive a person, but in truth teach the way of God.
൨൧അവർ അവനോട്: ഗുരോ, നീ നേർ പറഞ്ഞു ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും, ആരുടെയും പക്ഷം നോക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി യഥാർത്ഥമായി പഠിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
22 Is it lawful to us to give tribute to Caesar or not?”
൨൨നാം കൈസർക്ക് കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നത് നിയമപരമായി ശരിയോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
23 And He, having perceived their craftiness, said to them, “Why do you tempt Me?
൨൩യേശു അവരുടെ ഉപായം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട് അവൻ അവരോട്: ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കാണിക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;
24 Show Me a denarius; of whom does it have an image and inscription?” And they answering said, “Of Caesar”:
൨൪അതിലുള്ള സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്: കൈസരുടേത് എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
25 and He said to them, “Give back, therefore, the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”;
൨൫എന്നാൽ കൈസർക്കുള്ളത് കൈസർക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളത് ദൈവത്തിനും കൊടുക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അവൻ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
26 and they were not able to take hold on His saying before the people, and having wondered at His answer, they were silent.
൨൬അങ്ങനെ അവർ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അവനെ വാക്കിൽ പിടിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതെ അവന്റെ ഉത്തരത്തിൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
27 And certain of the Sadducees, who are denying that there is a resurrection, having come near, questioned Him,
൨൭പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരിൽ ചിലർ അടുത്തുവന്ന് അവനോട് ചോദിച്ചത്:
28 saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us if anyone’s brother may die, having a wife, and he may die childless—that his brother may take the wife, and may raise up seed to his brother.
൨൮ഗുരോ, ഒരുവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിട്ട് മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാൽ അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ച് സഹോദരന് സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
29 There were, then, seven brothers, and the first having taken a wife, died childless,
൨൯എന്നാൽ ഏഴ് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരിൽ ഒന്നാമത്തവൻ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ച് മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
30 and the second took the wife, and he died childless,
൩൦രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ച്.
31 and the third took her, and in like manner also the seven—they left no children, and they died;
൩൧അപ്രകാരം ഏഴുപേരും ചെയ്തു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
32 and last of all the woman also died:
൩൨അവസാനം സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
33 in the resurrection, then, of which of them does she become wife? For the seven had her as wife.”
൩൩എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ അവരിൽ ആരുടെ ഭാര്യയാകും? അവൾ ഏഴ് പേർക്കും ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.
34 And Jesus answering said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, (aiōn g165)
൩൪അതിന് യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയും വിവാഹത്തിന് മക്കളെ കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. (aiōn g165)
35 but those accounted worthy to obtain that age, and the resurrection that is out of the dead, neither marry, nor are they given in marriage; (aiōn g165)
൩൫എന്നാൽ ആ ലോകത്തിനും മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിനും യോഗ്യരായവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയുമില്ല വിവാഹത്തിന് കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; അവർക്ക് ഇനി മരിക്കുവാനും കഴിയുകയില്ല. (aiōn g165)
36 for neither are they able to die anymore—for they are like messengers—and they are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
൩൬അവൻ പുനരുത്ഥാനപുത്രന്മാരാകയാൽ ദൈവദൂതതുല്യരും ദൈവ പുത്രന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.
37 And that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the Bush, since he calls the LORD the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;
൩൭മോശെ മുൾപ്പടർപ്പിനെ കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്ന ഭാഗത്ത് കർത്താവിനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു പറയുന്നു. അതിനാൽ മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു എന്ന് മോശെയും സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
38 and He is not a God of dead men, but of living, for all live to Him.”
൩൮ദൈവമോ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ; എല്ലാവരും അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
39 And certain of the scribes answering said, “Teacher, You said well”;
൩൯അതിന് ചില ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ: ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞത് ശരി എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
40 and they no longer dared question Him anything.
൪൦പിന്നെ അവനോട് അവർ ഒന്നും ചോദിച്ചില്ല.
41 And He said to them, “How do they say the Christ is [the] son of David,
൪൧എന്നാൽ അവൻ അവരോട്: ക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു പറയുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?
42 and David himself says in [the] Scroll of Psalms, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit on My right hand,
൪൨“കർത്താവ് എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട്: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠമാക്കുവോളം എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തിരിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു”
43 Until I will make Your enemies Your footstool;
൪൩എന്നു സങ്കീർത്തനപുസ്തകത്തിൽ ദാവീദ് തന്നേ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
44 David, then, calls Him Lord, and how is He his son?”
൪൪ദാവീദ് അവനെ കർത്താവ് എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
45 And all the people hearing, He said to His disciples,
൪൫എന്നാൽ ജനം ഒക്കെയും കേൾക്കെ യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട്:
46 “Take heed of the scribes, who are wishing to walk in long robes, and are cherishing salutations in the markets, and first seats in the synagogues, and first couches at the banquets,
൪൬നിലയങ്കികളോടെനടക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും അങ്ങാടിയിൽ വന്ദനവും പള്ളിയിലും അത്താഴത്തിലും പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ.
47 who devour the houses of the widows, and make long prayers for a pretense, these will receive more abundant judgment.”
൪൭അവർ വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും, ഉപായരൂപേണ ദീർഘമായി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവർക്ക് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധി ലഭിക്കും.
