< Luke 18 >
1 And He also spoke an allegory to them, that it is always necessary to pray and not to faint,
Kenaka Yesu anawuza ophunzira ake fanizo kuwaonetsa kuti iwo ayenera kumapemphera nthawi zonse ndikuti asafowoke.
2 saying, “A certain judge was in a certain city—he is not fearing God, and he is not regarding man—
Iye anati, “Mʼmudzi wina munali woweruza wosaopa Mulungu ngakhalenso kulabadira za anthu.
3 and a widow was in that city, and she was coming to him, saying, Do me justice on my opponent,
Ndipo panali mkazi wamasiye mʼmudzimo amene ankabwerabwera kwa iye ndi dandawulo lake kuti, ‘Mundiweruze mlandu mwachilungamo pakati pa ine ndi otsutsana nane.’
4 and he would not for a time, but after these things he said in himself, Even if I do not fear God, and do not regard man,
“Kwa nthawi yayitali woweruzayo ankakana. Koma pa mapeto analingalira nati, ‘Ngakhale kuti sindiopa Mulungu kapena kulabadira za anthu,
5 yet because this widow gives me trouble, I will do her justice, lest, continuously coming, she may bruise me.”
koma chifukwa chakuti mkazi wamasiyeyu akundivutitsa, ine ndimuweruzira mlandu wake mwachilungamo kuti asanditopetse ndi kubwerabwera kwakeko!’”
6 And the LORD said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says:
Ndipo Ambuye anati, “Tamvani zimene woweruza wopanda chilungamoyu wanena.
7 and will God not execute justice to His chosen ones, who are crying to Him day and night—bearing long in regard to them?
Tsono chingamuletse nʼchiyani Mulungu kubweretsa chilungamo kwa osankhika ake, amene amalira kwa Iye usana ndi usiku? Kodi adzapitirirabe osawalabadira?
8 I say to you that He will execute justice to them quickly; but the Son of Man having come, will He find faith on the earth?”
Ine ndikukuwuzani inu, adzaonetsetsa kuti alandire chilungamo, ndiponso mofulumira. Komabe, pamene Mwana wa Munthu akubwera, kodi adzapeza chikhulupiriro pa dziko lapansi?”
9 And He also spoke to some who have been trusting in themselves that they were righteous, and have been despising the rest, this allegory:
Yesu ananena fanizoli kwa amene amadzikhulupirira mwa iwo okha kuti anali wolungama nanyoza ena onse.
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector;
“Anthu awiri anapita ku Nyumba ya Mulungu kukapemphera, wina Mfarisi ndi winayo wolandira msonkho.
11 the Pharisee having stood by himself, thus prayed: God, I thank You that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector;
Mfarisiyo anayimirira ndipo anapemphera za iye mwini kuti, ‘Mulungu, ine ndikuyamika kuti sindili ngati anthu ena onse, achifwamba, ochita zoyipa, achigololo, sindilinso ngati wolandira msonkhoyu.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all things—as many as I possess.
Ine ndimasala kudya kawiri pa Sabata ndipo ndimapereka chakhumi pa zonse ndimapeza.’
13 And the tax collector, having stood far off, would not even lift up the eyes to the sky, but was striking on his breast, saying, God be propitious to me—the sinner!
“Koma wolandira msonkhoyo ali chiyimire potero, sanathe nʼkomwe kuyangʼana kumwamba; koma anadziguguda pachifuwa ndipo anati, ‘Mulungu, chitireni chifundo, ine wochimwa.’
14 I say to you, this one went down declared righteous, to his house, rather than that one: for everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, and he who is humbling himself will be exalted.”
“Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti munthu wolandira msonkhoyu, osati Mfarisiyu, anapita kwawo atalungamitsidwa pamaso pa Mulungu. Chifukwa chake, aliyense wodzikweza adzachepetsedwa, ndipo wodzichepetsa adzakwezedwa.”
15 And they were also bringing the babies near, that He may touch them, and the disciples having seen, rebuked them,
Anthu amabweretsanso ana aangʼono kwa Yesu kuti awadalitse. Ophunzira ataona izi, anawadzudzula.
16 and Jesus having called them near, said, “Permit the little children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the Kingdom of God;
Koma Yesu anayitana anawo kuti abwere kwa Iye nati, “Lolani ana abwere kwa Ine ndipo musawatsekereze, pakuti ufumu wa Mulungu uli wa anthu otere.
17 truly I say to you, whoever may not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, may not enter into it.”
Zoonadi, Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti aliyense amene salandira ufumu wa Mulungu ngati mwana wamngʼono, sadzalowamo.”
18 And a certain ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what having done—will I inherit continuous life?” (aiōnios )
Oweruza wina wake anamufunsa Iye kuti, “Aphunzitsi abwino, ndichite chiyani kuti ndilandire moyo wosatha?” (aiōnios )
19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good, except one—God;
Yesu anamuyankha kuti, “Chifukwa chiyani ukunditcha wabwino, palibe wabwino kupatula Mulungu yekha.
20 you have known the commands: You may not commit adultery, You may not murder, You may not steal, You may not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother.”
Iwe umadziwa malamulo: ‘Usachite chigololo, usaphe, usabe, usapereke umboni wonama, lemekeza abambo ndi amayi ako.’”
21 And he said, “All these I kept from my youth”;
Iye anati, “Zonsezi ndinasunga kuyambira ndili mnyamata.”
22 and having heard these things, Jesus said to him, “Yet one thing to you is lacking: all things—as many as you have—sell, and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me”;
Yesu atamva izi, anati kwa iye, “Ukusowabe chinthu chimodzi: Gulitsa zonse zimene uli nazo ndipo uzipereke kwa osauka, ndipo udzakhala ndi chuma kumwamba. Kenaka ubwere, nunditsate ine.”
23 and he, having heard these things, became very sorrowful, for he was exceedingly rich.
Atamva zimenezi, anakhumudwa kwambiri chifukwa anali munthu wachuma chambiri.
24 And Jesus having seen him become very sorrowful, said, “How hardly will those having riches enter into the Kingdom of God!
Yesu anamuyangʼana nati, “Nʼkwapatali kwambiri kuti anthu achuma akalowe mu ufumu wa Mulungu!
25 For it is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
Ndithudi, nʼkwapafupi kuti ngamira idutse pa kabowo ka zingano kusiyana ndi munthu wachuma kulowa mu ufumu wa Mulungu.”
26 And those who heard, said, “And who is able to be saved?”
Amene anamva izi anafunsa kuti, “Nanga ndani amene angapulumuke?”
27 And He said, “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”
Yesu anayankha kuti, “Zinthu zosatheka ndi anthu zimatheka ndi Mulungu.”
28 And Peter said, “Behold, we left all, and followed You”;
Petro anati kwa Iye, “Ife tinasiya zonse tinali nazo kutsatira Inu!”
29 and He said to them, “Truly I say to you that there is not one who left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God,
Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Zoonadi, Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti palibe amene anasiya nyumba kapena mkazi kapena abale kapena makolo kapena ana chifukwa cha ufumu wa Mulungu
30 who may not receive back manifold more in this time, and in the coming age, continuous life.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
adzalephera kulandira mowirikiza mʼmoyo uno, ndi mʼmoyo ukubwerawo, moyo wosatha.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
31 And having taken the Twelve aside, He said to them, “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things will be accomplished that have been written through the prophets to the Son of Man,
Yesu anatengera khumi ndi awiriwo pambali ndi kuwawuza kuti, “Taonani ife tikupita ku Yerusalemu, ndipo zonse zimene zalembedwa ndi Aneneri za Mwana wa Munthu zidzakwaniritsidwa.
32 for He will be delivered up to the nations, and will be mocked, and insulted, and spit on,
Iye adzaperekedwa kwa anthu a mitundu ina. Ndipo adzamuchita chipongwe, adzamunyoza, adzamulavulira,
33 and having scourged they will put Him to death, and on the third day He will rise again.”
adzamukwapula ndi kumupha. Tsiku lachitatu Iye adzaukanso.”
34 And they understood none of these things, and this saying was hid from them, and they were not knowing the things said.
Ophunzira sanazindikire china chilichonse cha izi. Tanthauzo lake linabisika kwa iwo, ndipo sanadziwe chimene Iye amayankhula.
35 And it came to pass, in His coming near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting beside the way begging,
Yesu atayandikira ku Yeriko, munthu wina wosaona amene amakhala pambali pa msewu namapempha,
36 and having heard a multitude going by, he was inquiring what this may be,
anamva gulu la anthu likudutsa. Iye anafunsa chomwe chimachitika.
37 and they brought him word that Jesus the Nazarene passes by,
Iwo anamuwuza kuti “Yesu wa ku Nazareti akudutsa.”
38 and he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, deal kindly with me”;
Iye anayitana mofuwula, “Yesu Mwana wa Davide, mundichitire chifundo!”
39 and those going before were rebuking him, that he might be silent, but he was crying out much more, “Son of David, deal kindly with me!”
Iwo amene amamutsogolera njira anamudzudzula ndi kumuwuza kuti akhale chete, koma iye anafuwulabe, “Mwana wa Davide, chitireni chifundo!”
40 And Jesus having stood, commanded him to be brought to Him, and he having come near, He questioned him,
Yesu anayima nalamula kuti abwere naye kwa Iye. Atabwera pafupi, Yesu anamufunsa kuti,
41 saying, “What do you will I will do to you?” And he said, “Lord, that I may receive sight.”
“Kodi ukufuna kuti ndikuchitire chiyani?” Iye anayankha kuti, “Ambuye, ine ndifuna ndionenso.”
42 And Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has saved you”;
Yesu anati kwa iye, “Onanso; chikhulupiriro chako chakupulumutsa.”
43 and instantly he received sight, and was following Him, glorifying God; and all the people, having seen, gave praise to God.
Nthawi yomweyo anaonanso ndipo anayamba kumutsatira Yesu, akulemekeza Mulungu. Anthu onse ataona izi, iwonso analemekeza Mulungu.
