< Luke 16 >

1 And He also said to His disciples, “A certain man was rich, who had a steward, and he was accused to him as scattering his goods;
Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafo no se, “Ɔdefo bi wɔ hɔ a na ɔwɔ ofi sohwɛfo bi. Ɔdefo yi tetee sɛ ne fi sohwɛfo no resɛe ne nneɛma.
2 and having called him, he said to him, What [is] this I hear about you? Render the account of your stewardship, for you may not be steward any longer.
Ɔtee saa asɛm no, ɔfrɛɛ ne fi sohwɛfo no ka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Dɛn na metete fa wo ho yi? Bebu wʼadwuma ho akontaa kyerɛ me na merentumi ne wo nyɛ adwuma bio.’
3 And the steward said in himself, What will I do, because my lord takes away the stewardship from me? I am not able to dig, I am ashamed to beg—
“Ofi sohwɛfo no kaa wɔ ne tirim se, ‘Menyɛ dɛn ni? Nnɛ a wɔrepam me afi fie ha yi, ɛhe na mɛfa? Minni ahoɔden a mede bɛdɔw, na mefɛre nso sɛ mɛsrɛsrɛ ade.
4 I have known what I will do, that, when I may be removed from the stewardship, they may receive me to their houses.
Minim nea mɛyɛ a ɛbɛma wɔn a wɔdede me wura aka no behu me mmɔbɔ.’
5 And having called near each one of his lord’s debtors, he said to the first, How much do you owe to my lord?
“Enti ɔfrɛfrɛɛ wɔn a wɔdede ne wura aka no mmaako mmaako. Obisaa nea odi kan no se, ‘Ɛka ahe na wode me wura?’
6 And he said, One hundred baths of oil; and he said to him, Take your bill, and having sat down write fifty.
“Obuae se, ‘Mede ngo nhina aduonu ka.’ “Enti ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Yɛ ntɛm tena ase na twa mu na kyerɛw sɛ, wode ngo nhina du ka.’
7 Afterward to another he said, And you, how much do you owe? And he said, One hundred cors of wheat; and he says to him, Take your bill, and write eighty.
“Ɛno akyi no, ɔfrɛɛ ɔfoforo bi nso bisaa no se, ‘Na wo nso, ka ahe na wode me wura?’ “Ɔno nso buae se, ‘Mede aburow nkotoku ɔha ka.’ “Ɔka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Tena ase na twa mu na kyerɛw sɛ, wode nkotoku aduonum ka!’
8 And the lord commended the unrighteous steward that he did prudently, because the sons of this age are more prudent than the sons of the light in respect to their generation. (aiōn g165)
“Ɔdefo no huu nea ofi sohwɛfo no yɛe no akyi, nanso ɔnam fɛwdi so kamfoo no wɔ nʼanifiri no ho. Saa ara nso na wiase yi mma susuw sɛ wonim nyansa sen wɔn a wɔyɛ Onyankopɔn akyidifo no. (aiōn g165)
9 And I say to you, make to yourselves friends out of the wealth of unrighteousness, that when you may fail, they may receive you into the continuous dwelling places. (aiōnios g166)
Na me nso mise mo sɛ, momfa wiase ahonyade no bi nyɛ nnamfo, na sɛ ɛsa a wɔagye mo. (aiōnios g166)
10 He who is faithful in the least, [is] also faithful in much; and he who in the least [is] unrighteous, is also unrighteous in much;
“Nanso nea odi nokware wɔ kakraa bi ho no bedi nokware wɔ pii ho; na nea onni nokware wɔ kakraa bi ho no rentumi nni nokware wɔ pii ho.
11 if, then, in the unrighteous wealth you did not become faithful—who will entrust to you the true?
Sɛ moantumi anni nokware wɔ wiase nneɛma ho a, hena na ɔde ɔsoro nnepa bɛhyɛ mo nsa?
12 And if in the other’s you did not become faithful—who will give to you your own?
Sɛ moanni nokware wɔ obi ade bi a wɔde ahyɛ mo nsa no ho a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na wɔde nea ɛsɛ sɛ ɛyɛ mo dea no bɛma mo?
13 No servant is able to serve two lords, for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or one he will hold to, and of the other he will be heedless; you are not able to serve God and wealth.”
“Ɔsomfo biara rentumi nsom awuranom baanu, efisɛ ɔyɛ saa a, ɔbɛdɔ ɔbaako na watan ɔbaako anaasɛ, ɔbɛsom ɔbaako yiye na wabu ɔbaako animtiaa. Morentumi nsom Onyankopɔn ne ahonyade.”
14 And also the Pharisees, being lovers of money, were hearing all these things, and were deriding Him,
Farisifo sikaniberefo no tee nea Yesu kae no, wodii ne ho fɛw.
15 and He said to them, “You are those declaring yourselves righteous before men, but God knows your hearts; because that which is high among men [is] abomination before God;
Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Moyɛ nnipa a mubu mo ho atreneefo wɔ nnipa anim, nanso Onyankopɔn nim mo koma mu. Na nea ɛsom bo wɔ nnipa ani so no yɛ akyide wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
16 the Law and the Prophets [are] until John; since then the good news of the Kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone presses into it;
“Ansa na Osuboni Yohane bɛba no na Mose mmara ne adiyifo no nsɛm no na mudi so. Na Osuboni Yohane bae no ɔbɛkaa Onyankopɔn ahenni ho nsɛm kyerɛɛ mo, nti nnipa repere sɛ wɔbɛkɔ saa ahenni no mu.
17 and it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away, than one tittle to fall of the Law.
Ɛyɛ mmerɛw sɛ ɔsoro ne asase betwa mu sen sɛ mmara no mu nsensanee ketewa baako mpo bɛyera.
18 Everyone who is sending his wife away, and marrying another, commits adultery; and everyone who is marrying her sent away from a husband commits adultery.
“Obiara a ogyaa ne yere aware na ɔware ɔfoforo no bɔ aguaman; na nea ɔware ɔbea biara a ne kunu agyaa no no nso, bɔ aguaman.”
19 And—a certain man was rich, and was clothed in purple and fine linen, making merry sumptuously every day,
Yesu toaa so kae se, “Ɔdefo bi tenaa ase a na daa ofura ntama pa na ogye nʼani yiye nso.
20 and there was a certain poor man, by name Lazarus, who was laid at his porch, full of sores,
Na ɔbarima hiani bi a akuru atutu no a wɔfrɛ no Lasaro no nso da nʼabobow ano.
21 and desiring to be filled from the crumbs that are falling from the table of the rich man; indeed, also the dogs, coming, were licking his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the poor man died, and that he was carried away by the messengers into the bosom of Abraham—and the rich man also died, and was buried;
“Ohiani no wu maa abɔfo bɛfaa no kɔtenaa Abraham nkyɛn. Ɔdefo no nso wu ma wosiee no.
23 and having lifted up his eyes in Hades, being in torments, he sees Abraham far off, and Lazarus in his bosom, (Hadēs g86)
Ɔdefo no wɔ asaman a ne ho yeraw no no, ɔmaa nʼani so huu Lasaro sɛ ɔte Abraham nkyɛn. (Hadēs g86)
24 and having cried, he said, Father Abraham, deal kindly with me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and may cool my tongue, because I am distressed in this flame.
Ɔdefo no teɛɛ mu se, ‘Agya Abraham, mesrɛ wo hu me mmɔbɔ na soma Lasaro na ɔmfa ne nsateaa ano nkɔbɔ nsu mu mfa mmɛsɔ me tɛkrɛma so na me ho yeraw me.’
25 And Abraham said, Child, remember that you received your good things in your life, and Lazarus in like manner the evil things, and now he is comforted, and you are distressed;
“Abraham buaa no se, ‘Me ba, kae sɛ wote wiase no wudii dɛ na Lasaro dii yaw, nanso afei na ɔredi dɛ na wo nso woredi yaw.
26 and besides all these things, between us and you a great chasm is fixed, so that they who are willing to go over from here to you are not able, nor do they pass through from there to us.
Ɛnyɛ eyi nko, obon kɛse da yɛn ne mo ntam a ɛno nti, wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wofi ha ba mo nkyɛn hɔ ne wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wofi mo nkyɛn hɔ ba ha no nso rentumi mma.’
27 And he said, I ask, then, father, that you may send him to the house of my father,
“Ɔdefo no san ka kyerɛɛ Abraham se, ‘Agya, mesrɛ wo, soma Lasaro kɔ mʼagya fi,
28 for I have five brothers, so that he may thoroughly testify to them, that they also may not come to this place of torment.
efisɛ mewɔ nuabarimanom baanum. Ma ɔnkɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn mu biara remma saa ahoyeraw yi mu bi.’
29 Abraham says to him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them;
“Abraham buaa no se, ‘Wɔwɔ nsɛm a Onyankopɔn nam Mose ne adiyifo no so aka enti ma wontie na wonni so.’
30 and he said, No, father Abraham, but if anyone from the dead may go to them, they will convert.
“Ɔdefo yi kaa bio se, ‘Agya Abraham, nea woreka yi wɔ mu de, nanso sɛ obi fi asaman ha kɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ de a, wɔbɛsakra wɔn adwene.’ (questioned)
31 And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one may rise out of the dead.”
“Abraham buae se, ‘Sɛ wɔantie nea Onyankopɔn nam Mose ne adiyifo no so aka no a, saa ara nso na sɛ obi fi asaman ha kɔkasa kyerɛ wɔn a, wɔrentie no no.’” (questioned)
