Luke 15
1 And all the tax collectors and sinners were coming near to Him, to hear Him,
೧ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
2 and the Pharisees and the scribes were murmuring, saying, “This One receives sinners, and eats with them.”
೨ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, “ಇವನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
3 And He spoke to them this allegory, saying,
೩ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
4 “What man of you having one hundred sheep, and having lost one out of them, does not leave behind the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go on after the lost one, until he may find it?
೪ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೂ ತನಗೆ ನೂರು ಕುರಿಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಳೆದುಹೋದರೆ ಅವನು ತೊಂಬತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಳೆದುಹೋದದ್ದು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ತನಕ ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಯೇ?
5 And having found, he lays [it] on his shoulders rejoicing,
೫ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು,
6 and having come into the house, he calls together the friends and the neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I found my sheep—the lost one.
೬ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ‘ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಕುರಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುವನಲ್ಲವೇ.
7 I say to you that [more] joy will be in Heaven over one sinner converting, rather than over ninety-nine righteous men who have no need of conversion.
೭ಅದರಂತೆ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ತೊಂಬತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರಿಗಿಂತ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂತೋಷವುಂಟಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
8 Or what woman having ten drachmas, if she may lose one drachma, does not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek carefully until she may find?
೮“ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದರೆ ದೀಪಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುಡಿಸಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ತನಕ ಅದನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರದಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕದೆ ಇದ್ದಾಳೂ?
9 And having found, she calls together the female friends and the neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I found the drachma that I lost.
೯ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಗೆಳತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಳಲ್ಲವೇ.
10 So I say to you, joy comes before the messengers of God over one sinner converting.”
೧೦ಅದರಂತೆ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದೂತರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
11 And He said, “A certain man had two sons,
೧೧ಇನ್ನೂ ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, “ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿದ್ದರು.
12 and the younger of them said to the father, Father, give me the portion of the substance falling to [me], and he divided to them the living.
೧೨ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರಿಯವನು ತಂದೆಗೆ, ‘ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡು’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತಂದೆಯು ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
13 And not many days after, having gathered all together, the younger son went abroad to a far country, and there he scattered his substance, living riotously;
೧೩ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದಿನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಕಿರಿಯ ಮಗನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಲನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟಿಂಗನಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
14 and he having spent all, there came a mighty famine on that country, and himself began to be in want;
೧೪ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಘೋರವಾದ ಬರ ಬಂದು ಏನೂ ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಾದನು.
15 and having gone on, he joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into the fields to feed pigs,
೧೫ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
16 and he was desirous to fill his belly from the husks that the pigs were eating, and no one was giving to him.
೧೬ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಹಂದಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನಾದರೂ ತಿಂದು ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಸೆಪಟ್ಟನು, ಆದರೂ ಯಾರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17 And having come to himself, he said, How many hired workers of my father have a superabundance of bread, and I am perishing here with hunger!
೧೭ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಬಂದು ಅವನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಂದಿ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವಿದೆ, ನಾನಾದರೋ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
18 Having risen, I will go on to my father, and will say to him, Father, I sinned—to Heaven, and before you,
೧೮ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired workers.
೧೯ಇನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಂತೆ ಮಾಡು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವೆನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು,
20 And having risen, he went to his own father, and he being yet far distant, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and having ran he fell on his neck and kissed him;
೨೦ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದನು. “ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು, ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಅವನ ಕೊರಳನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.
21 and the son said to him, Father, I sinned—to Heaven, and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
೨೧ಆದರೂ ಮಗನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು,
22 And the father said to his servants, Bring forth the foremost robe, and clothe him, and give a ring for his hand, and sandals for the feet;
೨೨ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ತಂದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಉಡಿಸಿ, ಇವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನು ತೊಡಿಸಿರಿ, ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಜೋಡು ಮೆಡಿಸಿರಿ,
23 and having brought the fatted calf, kill [it], and having eaten, we may be merry,
೨೩ಕೊಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ, ಹಬ್ಬಮಾಡೋಣ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡೋಣ.
24 because this son of mine was dead, and lived again, and he was lost, and was found; and they began to be merry.
೨೪ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರುಗಿ ಬದುಕಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪೋಲಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಡಗಿದರು.
25 And his elder son was in a field, and as, coming, he drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing,
೨೫ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಮನೆಯ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ವಾದ್ಯಘೋಷಗಳನ್ನೂ ನರ್ತನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ,
26 and having called near one of the young men, he was inquiring what these things might be,
೨೬ಆಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದು, ಇದೇನು ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು.
27 and he said to him, Your brother has arrived, and your father killed the fatted calf, because he received him back in health.
೨೭ಆಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇವನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಆ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in, therefore his father, having come forth, was pleading him;
೨೮ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಮನೆ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
29 and he answering said to the father, Behold, so many years I serve you, and never did I transgress your command, and you never gave to me a kid that I might make merry with my friends;
೨೯ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ, ‘ನೋಡು, ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ನಿನಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಎಂದೂ ಮೀರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಸಂಗಡ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಎಂದೂ ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಆಡನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
30 but when your son—this one who devoured your living with prostitutes—came, you killed to him the fatted calf.
೩೦ಆದರೆ ಸೂಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ’ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
31 And he said to him, Child, you are always with me, and all my things are yours;
೩೧ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದೆಯು, ‘ಕಂದಾ, ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನದೇ.
32 but to be merry, and to be glad, it was necessary, because this your brother was dead, and lived again, he was lost, and was found.”
೩೨ಆದರೆ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುವುದೂ ಸಂತೋಷಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದೂ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದ್ದೇ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರುಗಿ ಬದುಕಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಪೋಲಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
