< Leviticus 5 >

1 “And when a person sins, and has heard the voice of an oath, and he [is] witness, or has seen, or has known—if he does not declare [it], then he has borne his iniquity.
“‘Omuntu bw’ategyengayo ku kintu ky’amanyi, n’awa obujulirwa ku kintu kye yalaba oba kye yawulira nga kikyamu, anaabanga azzizza omusango.
2 Or when a person comes against anything unclean, or against a carcass of an unclean beast, or against a carcass of unclean livestock, or against a carcass of an unclean teeming creature, and it has been hidden from him, then he [is] unclean and guilty;
“‘Omuntu yenna bw’anaakwatanga ku kintu ekitali kirongoofu, gamba omulambo gw’ensolo ey’omu nsiko etali nnongoofu, oba ku mulambo gw’ente etali nnongoofu, oba ku mirambo gy’ebiramu ebyekulula ebitali birongoofu, ne bw’anaabanga takitegedde, anaabanga afuuse atali mulongoofu, era anaabanga azzizza omusango.
3 or when he comes against [the] uncleanness of man, even any of his uncleanness whereby he is unclean, and it has been hidden from him, and he has known, then he has been guilty.
Oba bw’anaakwatanga ku kintu kyonna ekitali kirongoofu ekivudde mu muntu nga si kirongoofu mu buli ngeri yonna, ne kimufuula atali mulongoofu, ne bw’anaabanga takigenderedde, bw’anaategeranga ky’akoze nga kibi, anaabanga azzizza omusango.
4 Or when a person swears, speaking wrongfully with the lips to do evil, or to do good, even anything which man speaks wrongfully with an oath, and it has been hid from him—when he has known then he has been guilty of one of these;
Omuntu bw’anaayanguyirizanga okulayira okukola ekintu kyonna, oba kirungi oba kibi, ng’amaze galayira nga tafuddeeyo, ne bw’anaabanga takigenderedde, bw’anaategeranga ky’akoze bwe kiri, anaabanga azzizza omusango mu buli ngeri yonna gy’anaabanga alayiddemu.
5 and it has been when he is guilty of one of these, that he has confessed concerning that which he has sinned,
Omuntu bw’anazzanga omusango mu kyonna kyonna ku ebyo ebizze byogerwako, anaateekwanga okwatula ekibi ekyo ky’anaabanga akoze,
6 and has brought in his guilt-offering to YHWH for his sin which he has sinned, a female out of the flock, a lamb, or a kid of the goats, for a sin-offering, and the priest has made atonement for him because of his sin.
era n’aleeta ekiweebwayo kye olw’omusango eri Mukama olw’ekibi ekyo. Anaaleetanga endiga ento enkazi oba embuzi enkazi ng’abiggya mu kisibo kye, nga kye kiweebwayo olw’ekibi; era kabona anaatangiririranga omuntu oyo olw’ekibi kye.
7 And if his hand does not reach to the sufficiency of a lamb, then he has brought in his guilt-offering—he who has sinned—two turtle-doves or two young pigeons to YHWH, one for a sin-offering and one for a burnt-offering;
“‘Omuntu bw’anaabanga omwavu, nga tasobola kuleeta ndiga nto olw’obwavu bwe, anaaleetanga bukaamukuukulu bubiri oba enjiibwa ento bbiri eri Mukama, olw’ekibi omuntu oyo ky’akoze, nga ky’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi, ekimu nga kye ky’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi ekirala nga kye ky’ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa.
8 and he has brought them to the priest, and has brought near that which [is] for a sin-offering first, and has wrung off its head from its neck, and does not separate [it],
Anaabireeteranga kabona, n’asooka okuwaayo ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi. Kabona anaanyoolanga ensingo y’ekiweebwayo, naye nga tagikutuddeeko;
9 and he has sprinkled of the blood of the sin-offering on the side of the altar, and that which is left of the blood is wrung out at the foundation of the altar; it [is] a sin-offering.
anaddiranga ku musaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi n’agumansira ku mabbali g’ekyoto. Omusaayi gwonna ogunaabanga gusigaddewo anaaguttululiranga ku ntobo y’ekyoto. Kino kye kiweebwayo olw’ekibi.
10 And he makes the second a burnt-offering, according to the ordinance, and the priest has made atonement for him because of his sin which he has sinned, and it has been forgiven him.
Kabona anaawangayo ekiweebwayo ekyokubiri nga kye kiweebwayo ekyokebwa ng’agoberera ebiragiro nga bwe bigamba. Bw’atyo kabona anaatangiririranga omuntu oyo olw’ekibi kye ky’anaabanga akoze, era omuntu oyo anaasonyiyibwanga.
11 And if his hand does not reach to two turtle-doves, or to two young pigeons, then he has brought in his offering—he who has sinned—a tenth of an ephah of flour for a sin-offering; he puts no oil on it, nor does he put frankincense on it, for it [is] a sin-offering,
“‘Omuntu oyo omwavu bw’anaabanga tasobola kuleeta bukaamukuukulu bubiri oba enjiibwa ento bbiri, anaaleetanga ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi kye, kimu kya kkumi ekya efa eky’obuwunga obulungi okuba ekiweebwayo kye olw’okwonoona. Taabuteekengamu mafuta wadde obubaane, kubanga kiweebwayo olw’ekibi.
12 and he has brought it to the priest, and the priest has taken a handful from it of the fullness of his hand—its memorial—and has made incense on the altar, according to the fire-offerings of YHWH; it [is] a sin-offering.
Anaakireeteranga kabona, era kabona anaatoolangako olubatu, nga kye kitundu eky’ekijjukizo kyakyo, n’akyokera ku kyoto, ku biweebwayo eri Mukama ebyokeddwa mu muliro. Kino nga kye kiweebwayo olw’ekibi.
13 And the priest has made atonement for him, for his sin which he has sinned against one of these, and it has been forgiven him, and [the remnant] has been for the priest, like the present.”
Bw’atyo kabona anaatangiririranga omuntu oyo olw’ekibi ky’anaabanga akoze mu bintu ebyo byonna, era anaasonyiyibwanga. Ebyo byonna ebinaasigalangawo ku kiweebwayo kino binaabanga bya kabona, nga bwe kiri mu biragiro by’ekiweebwayo eky’emmere y’empeke.’”
14 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Mukama n’agamba Musa nti,
15 “When a person commits a trespass, and has sinned through ignorance against the holy things of YHWH, then he has brought in his guilt-offering to YHWH, a ram, a perfect one, out of the flock, at your valuation [in] silver—shekels by the shekel of the holy place—for a guilt-offering.
“Omuntu bw’anazzanga omusango ng’asobezza mu bimu ku ebyo ebitukuvu bya Mukama nga tagenderedde, anaaleetanga eri Mukama ekiweebwayo kye olw’omusango, endiga ennume etaliiko kamogo ng’agiggya mu kisibo kye; eneebalirirwanga omuwendo ogugigyamu mu ffeeza, ng’ebipimo by’awatukuvu bwe biri, ye sekeri. Ekyo nga kye kiweebwayo olw’omusango.
16 And that which he has sinned against the holy thing he repays, and is adding to it its fifth, and has given it to the priest, and the priest makes atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering, and it has been forgiven him.
Era anaaliwanga olw’ekyo kye yazzaako omusango mu bitukuvu bya Mukama, era anaayongerangako ekitundu kimu ekyokutaano eky’omuwendo gw’ekyo ky’anabanga asobezza; engassi eyo anaagiwanga kabona. Kabona anaatangiririranga omuntu oyo n’endiga ennume ey’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango, bw’atyo anaasonyiyibwanga.
17 And when any person sins, and has done [something against] one of all the commands of YHWH [regarding things] which are not to be done, and has not known, then he has been guilty, and has borne his iniquity.
“Omuntu yenna bw’anaayonoonanga n’akola ku ebyo Mukama bye yalagira mu mateeka ge obutabikolanga, ne bw’anaabanga takitegedde, anazzanga omusango.
18 Then he has brought in a ram, a perfect one, out of the flock, at your valuation, for a guilt-offering, to the priest; and the priest has made atonement for him, for his ignorance in which he has erred and he has not known, and it has been forgiven him;
Anaaleeteranga kabona endiga ennume eteriiko kamogo ng’agiggya mu kisibo kye, ng’ebalirirwamu omuwendo ogugya mu kiweebwayo olw’omusango. Kabona anaamutangiririranga olw’ekisobyo ky’anaabanga akoze nga tagenderedde, era anaasonyiyibwanga.
19 it [is] a guilt-offering; he has certainly been guilty before YHWH.”
Ekyo nga kye kiweebwayo olw’omusango, kubanga anaabanga ayonoonye mu maaso ga Mukama.”
