< Leviticus 4 >

1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Nake Jehova akĩĩra Musa atĩrĩ:
2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, When a person sins through ignorance against any of the commands of YHWH [regarding things] which are not to be done, and has done [something] against one of these—
“Ĩra andũ a Isiraeli ũũ: ‘Rĩrĩa mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ angĩĩhia atekwenda, na eke ũndũ ũrĩa mũkananie thĩinĩ wa maathani mothe ma Jehova:
3 if the priest who is anointed sins according to the guilt of the people, then he has brought near for his sin which he has sinned a bullock, a son of the herd, a perfect one, to YHWH, for a sin-offering,
“‘Kũngĩkorwo nĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũrĩa mũitĩrĩrie maguta wĩhĩtie na atũme andũ mahĩtie-rĩ, no nginya arehere Jehova ndegwa ĩtarĩ ngũrũ na ĩtarĩ na kaũũgũ, ĩrĩ iruta rĩa kũhoroheria mehia macio ekĩte.
4 and he has brought in the bullock to the opening of the Tent of Meeting before YHWH, and has laid his hand on the head of the bullock, and has slaughtered the bullock before YHWH.
No nginya aneane ndegwa ĩyo mũromo-inĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo arĩ mbere ya Jehova. Nĩakaigĩrĩra guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wayo, na acooke amĩthĩnjĩre hau mbere ya Jehova.
5 And the priest who is anointed has taken of the blood of the bullock, and has brought it into the Tent of Meeting,
Ningĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũcio mũitĩrĩrie maguta nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ya ndegwa ĩyo amĩtware thĩinĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo.
6 and the priest has dipped his finger in the blood, and sprinkled of the blood seven times before YHWH, at the front of the veil of the holy place;
Na nĩagatobokia kĩara gĩake thakame-inĩ ĩyo, aminjaminje ĩmwe yayo mbere ya Jehova maita mũgwanja, hau mbere ya gĩtambaya kĩrĩa gĩa gũcuurio kĩa handũ-harĩa-haamũre.
7 and the priest has put of the blood on the horns of the altar of spice-incense before YHWH, which [is] in the Tent of Meeting, and he pours out all the blood of the bullock at the foundation of the altar of the burnt-offering, which [is] at the opening of the Tent of Meeting.
Ningĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũcio nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ahake hĩa cia kĩgongona kĩa ũbani ũrĩa mũnungi wega kĩrĩa kĩrĩ mbere ya Jehova kũu Hema-inĩ-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Thakame ya ndegwa ĩyo ĩrĩa ĩgaatigara nĩakamĩita thĩ gĩtina-inĩ gĩa kĩgongona kĩa iruta rĩa njino hau mũromo-inĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo.
8 And he lifts up from it all the fat of the bullock of the sin-offering, the fat which is covering over the innards, and all the fat which [is] on the innards,
Nĩakaruta maguta mothe ma ndegwa ĩyo ya igongona rĩa kũhoroherio mehia, namo nĩmo rũambũ rũrĩa ruothe rũhumbĩire nyama cia nda na rũrĩa rũnyiitaine nacio,
9 and the two kidneys, and the fat which [is] on them, which [is] on the flanks, and the redundance on the liver above the kidneys—he turns it aside,
higo cierĩ hamwe na maguta marĩa macihumbĩire hakuhĩ na honge, na maguta marĩa mahumbĩire ini, amarutanĩrie na higo icio,
10 as it is lifted up from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace-offerings; and the priest has made them an incense on the altar of the burnt-offering.
akaaruta maguta macio o ta ũrĩa marutagwo ndegwa ĩrĩa ĩthĩnjagwo ĩrĩ iruta rĩa ũiguano. Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩagacicinĩra kĩgongona-inĩ kĩa igongona rĩa njino,
11 And the skin of the bullock, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, and its innards, and its dung—
na rũũa rwa ndegwa ĩyo, na nyama ciayo ciothe hamwe, na mũtwe na mathagiro, na nyama cia nda na mahu,
12 he has even brought out the whole bullock to the outside of the camp, to a clean place, to the place of the pouring out of the ashes, and he has burned it on the wood with fire; it is burned beside the place of the pouring out of the ashes.
ũguo nĩ ta kuuga nyama icio ingĩ ciothe cia ndegwa ĩyo, no nginya agaaciruta nja ya kambĩ, acitware handũ hatarĩ thaahu, harĩa mũhu ũitagwo, na acicinĩre na mwaki wa ngũ hau mũhu-inĩ ũcio.
13 And if all the congregation of Israel errs ignorantly, and the thing has been hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done [something against] one of all the commands of YHWH [regarding things] which are not to be done, and have been guilty;
“‘Na kĩrĩndĩ gĩothe kĩa Isiraeli kĩngĩkehia gĩtekwenda, gĩĩke ũndũ ũrĩa mũkananie thĩinĩ wa maathani mothe ma Jehova, o na angĩkorwo kĩrĩndĩ kĩu gĩtiũĩ ũndũ ũcio, nĩkĩhĩtĩtie.
14 when the sin which they have sinned concerning it has been known, then the assembly has brought a bullock near, a son of the herd, for a sin-offering, and they have brought it in before the Tent of Meeting;
Rĩrĩa gĩkaamenya mehia marĩa gĩĩkĩte, kĩũngano kĩu nĩgĩkaruta gategwa ka igongona rĩa kũhoroherio mehia, kaneanwo mbere ya Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo.
15 and the elderly of the congregation have laid their hands on the head of the bullock, before YHWH, and [one] has slaughtered the bullock before YHWH.
Athuuri a kĩrĩndĩ kĩu nĩmakaigĩrĩra moko mao igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wa ndegwa ĩyo mbere ya Jehova, nayo ndegwa ĩyo ĩthĩnjĩrwo o ro hau mbere ya Jehova.
16 And the priest who is anointed has brought in of the blood of the bullock to the Tent of Meeting,
Ningĩ mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũcio mũitĩrĩrie maguta nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ya ndegwa ĩyo amĩtoonyie thĩinĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo.
17 and the priest has dipped his finger in the blood, and has sprinkled seven times before YHWH at the front of the veil,
Nĩagatobokia kĩara gĩake thakame-inĩ ĩyo, amĩminjaminje mbere ya Jehova maita mũgwanja hau mbere ya gĩtambaya kĩrĩa gĩa gũcuurio.
18 and he puts [some] of the blood on the horns of the altar which [is] before YHWH, which [is] in the Tent of Meeting; and he pours out all the blood at the foundation of the altar of the burnt-offering, which [is] at the opening of the Tent of Meeting;
Nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ahake hĩa cia kĩgongona kĩrĩa kĩrĩ hau mbere ya Jehova kũu Hema-inĩ-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Thakame ĩrĩa ĩgaatigara nĩakamĩita thĩ gĩtina-inĩ gĩa kĩgongona kĩa iruta rĩa njino hau mũromo-inĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo.
19 and he lifts up all its fat from it, and has made incense on the altar.
Nĩakamĩruta maguta mayo mothe amacinĩre igũrũ rĩa kĩgongona,
20 And he has done to the bullock as he has done to the bullock of the sin-offering, so he does to it; and the priest has made atonement for them, and it has been forgiven them;
na eke ndegwa ĩyo o ta ũrĩa eekire ndegwa ya iruta rĩa kũhoroherio mehia. Ũguo nĩguo mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai akamahoroheria mehia mao, nao nĩmakarekerwo.
21 and he has brought out the bullock to the outside of the camp, and has burned it as he has burned the first bullock; it [is] a sin-offering of the assembly.
Ningĩ nĩakoimia ndegwa ĩyo amĩtware nja ya kambĩ na amĩcine o ta ũrĩa aacinire ndegwa ĩrĩa ya mbere. Rĩu nĩrĩo igongona rĩa kũhoroheria mehia ma kĩrĩndĩ kĩu.
22 When a prince sins, and has done [something against] one of all the commands of his God YHWH [regarding things] which are not to be done, through ignorance, and has been guilty,
“‘Rĩrĩa mũtongoria angĩĩhia atekwenda, na eke ũndũ ũrĩa mũkananie thĩinĩ wa maathani mothe ma Jehova Ngai wake, nĩahĩtĩtie.
23 or his sin wherein he has sinned has been made known to him, then he has brought in his offering, a kid of the goats, a male, a perfect one,
Rĩrĩa angĩmenyithio mehia marĩa ekĩte, no nginya arehe thenge ĩtarĩ na kaũũgũ ĩrĩ iruta rĩake.
24 and he has laid his hand on the head of the goat, and has slaughtered it in the place where he slaughters the burnt-offering before YHWH; it [is] a sin-offering.
Nĩakaigĩrĩra guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wa thenge ĩyo na acooke amĩthĩnjĩre harĩa iruta rĩa njino rĩthĩnjagĩrwo hau mbere ya Jehova. Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo iruta rĩa kũhoroherio mehia.
25 And the priest has taken of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and has put [it] on the horns of the altar of the burnt-offering, and he pours out its blood at the foundation of the altar of the burnt-offering,
Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ya iruta rĩu rĩa mehia na kĩara gĩake, na amĩhake hĩa cia kĩgongona kĩa iruta rĩa njino, nayo thakame ĩyo ĩngĩ amĩite gĩtina-inĩ gĩa kĩgongona.
26 and he makes incense on the altar with all its fat, as the fat of the sacrifice of the peace-offerings; and the priest has made atonement for him because of his sin, and it has been forgiven him.
Ningĩ nĩagacinĩra maguta mothe kĩgongona-inĩ igũrũ o ta ũrĩa aacinire maguta ma iruta rĩa ũiguano. Ũguo nĩguo mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai akaahoroheria mehia ma mũndũ ũcio, nake nĩakarekerwo.
27 And if any person of the people of the land sins through ignorance, by his doing [something against] one of the commands of YHWH [regarding things] which are not to be done, and has been guilty,
“‘Mũndũ ũmwe thĩinĩ wa kĩrĩndĩ angĩĩhia atekwenda na eke ũndũ ũrĩa mũkananie thĩinĩ wa maathani mothe ma Jehova, nĩahĩtĩtie.
28 or his sin which he has sinned has been made known to him, then he has brought in his offering, a kid of the goats, a perfect one, a female, for his sin which he has sinned,
Rĩrĩa angĩmenyithio amenye mehia marĩa ekĩte, no nginya arehe harika ĩtarĩ na kaũũgũ arĩ iruta rĩake nĩ ũndũ wa mehia macio ekĩte.
29 and he has laid his hand on the head of the sin-offering, and has slaughtered the sin-offering in the place of the burnt-offering.
Nĩakaigĩrĩra guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wa harika ĩyo ya iruta rĩa kũhoroherio mehia, na amĩthĩnjĩre harĩa iruta rĩa njino rĩthĩnjagĩrwo.
30 And the priest has taken of its blood with his finger, and has put [it] on the horns of the altar of the burnt-offering, and he pours out all its blood at the foundation of the altar,
Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe na kĩara gĩake, na amĩhake hĩa cia kĩgongona kĩa iruta rĩa njino, nayo thakame ĩyo ĩngĩ amĩite gĩtina-inĩ gĩa kĩgongona.
31 and he turns aside all its fat, as the fat has been turned aside from off the sacrifice of the peace-offerings, and the priest has made incense on the altar for refreshing fragrance to YHWH; and the priest has made atonement for him, and it has been forgiven him.
Nĩakaruta maguta mothe o ta ũrĩa maguta marutagwo kuuma iruta rĩa ũiguano, nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩakamacinĩra kĩgongona-inĩ igũrũ matuĩke mũtararĩko mwega wa gũkenia Jehova. Ũguo nĩguo mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai akaahoroheria mũndũ ũcio, nake nĩakarekerwo.
32 And if he brings in a sheep [for] his offering, a female for a sin-offering, he brings in a perfect one,
“‘Angĩkaarehe kagondu karĩ iruta rĩake rĩa kũhoroherio mehia, nĩakarehe kamwatĩ gatarĩ na kaũũgũ.
33 and he has laid his hand on the head of the sin-offering, and has slaughtered it for a sin-offering in the place where he slaughters the burnt-offering.
Nĩakaigĩrĩra guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wako, na agathĩnje gatuĩke iruta rĩa kũhoroherio mehia, agathĩnjĩre harĩa iruta rĩa njino rĩthĩnjagĩrwo.
34 And the priest has taken of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and has put [it] on the horns of the altar of the burnt-offering, and he pours out all its blood at the foundation of the altar,
Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩakoya thakame ĩmwe ya iruta rĩu rĩa mehia na kĩara gĩake, nayo amĩhake hĩa cia kĩgongona kĩa iruta rĩa njino, nayo thakame ĩyo ĩngĩ amĩite gĩtina-inĩ gĩa kĩgongona.
35 and he turns aside all its fat, as the fat of the sheep is turned aside from the sacrifice of the peace-offerings, and the priest has made them an incense on the altar, according to the fire-offerings of YHWH, and the priest has made atonement for him, for his sin which he has sinned, and it has been forgiven him.”
Nĩakaruta maguta mothe, o ta ũrĩa maguta marutagwo kuuma kũrĩ kagondu ka iruta rĩa ũiguano, na mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩakamacinĩra kĩgongona-inĩ, maigĩrĩirwo igũrũ rĩa maruta marĩa marutĩirwo Jehova na mwaki. Ũguo nĩguo mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai akaamũhoroheria nĩ ũndũ wa mehia marĩa ekĩte, nake nĩakarekerwo.
