< Leviticus 22 >

1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
2 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and they are separated from the holy things of the sons of Israel, and they do not defile My holy Name in what they are hallowing to Me; I [am] YHWH.
“Ka kyerɛ Aaron ne ne mmabarima se wɔmfa nidi mma afɔrebɔde kronkron a Israelfo atew ho ama me no, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔrengu me din ho fi. Mene Awurade.
3 Say to them: Throughout your generations, any man who draws near, out of all your seed, to the holy things which the sons of Israel sanctify to YHWH, and his uncleanness [is] on him—indeed, that person has been cut off from before My face; I [am] YHWH.
“Efi nnɛ rekɔ, sɛ ɔsɔfo biara a ne ho agu fi de ne nsa ka mmoa anaa akyɛde biara a nnipa no de aba sɛ wɔmfa mmɔ afɔre mma Awurade a, wɔbɛworɔw nʼatade. Mene Awurade.
4 Any man of the seed of Aaron, and he is leprous or has discharging—he does not eat of the holy things until he is clean; and he who is coming against any uncleanness of a person, or a man whose seed [from] intercourse goes out from him,
“Ɔsɔfo biara a ɔwɔ ɔhonam ani nsanyare biara nni ho kwan sɛ odi afɔrebɔde kronkron no bi, gye sɛ wɔasa no yare ama ne ho afi ansa. Ɔsɔfo biara a ɔde ne nsa bɛka funu anaa ɛnam ahosian nti ne ho begu fi no,
5 or a man who comes against any teeming thing which is unclean to him, or against a man who is unclean to him, even any of his uncleanness—
anaa ɔde ne nsa bɛka aboa biara a ɔwea fam anaa akyiwade bi anaa obi a biribi nti, wɔagu ne ho fi no,
6 the person who comes against it has even been unclean until the evening, and does not eat of the holy things, but has bathed his flesh with water,
saa ɔsɔfo no ho begu fi akosi anwummere. Ɔrenni afɔrebɔde a wɔatew ho no bi kosi anwummere a obeguare.
7 and the sun has gone in, and he has been clean, and afterward he eats of the holy things, for it [is] his food;
Sɛ owia kɔtɔ a, ne ho bɛtew na ɛno akyi no obetumi adi afɔrebɔde kronkron no bi, efisɛ ɛyɛ nʼaduan.
8 he does not eat a carcass or torn thing, to become unclean with it; I [am] YHWH.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ odi aboa funu anaa nea akekaboa bi atetew ne mu, na amma ne ho angu fi. Mene Awurade.
9 And they have kept My charge, and bear no sin for it, that they have died for it when they defile it; I [am] YHWH sanctifying them.
“Bɔ asɔfo no kɔkɔ na wonni saa mmara yi so yiye, anyɛ saa a, wɔbɛtwe wɔn aso na wɔawuwu sɛ wɔabu saa mmara yi so nti. Mene Awurade a matew wɔn ho.
10 And no stranger eats of the holy thing; a settler [with] a priest and a hired worker does not eat of the holy thing;
“Obiara nni ho kwan sɛ odi afɔrebɔde kronkron no bi gye sɛ ɔyɛ ɔsɔfo. Ɔhɔho a wabɛsra ɔsɔfo no nni ho kwan sɛ odi bi. Na saa ara nso na ɔsomfo a wotua no ka nni ho kwan sɛ odi bi.
11 but when a priest buys a person, the purchase of his money, he eats of it, also one born in his house; they eat of his bread.
Nanso sɛ ɛba sɛ ɔsɔfo no de ɔno ara ne sika tɔ akoa a, saa akoa no tumi di bi. Na akoa no mma biara a ɔbɛwo wɔn wɔ fie hɔ no wɔ ho kwan sɛ wodi bi.
12 And a priest’s daughter, when she is a strange man’s, she does not eat of the raised-offering of the holy things;
Sɛ ɔsɔfo babea kɔware fi abusuakuw no akyi baabi a, onni ho kwan sɛ odi afɔrebɔde kronkron no bi.
13 but a priest’s daughter, when she is a widow, or cast out, and has no seed, and has turned back to the house of her father, as [in] her youth, she eats of her father’s bread; but no stranger eats of it.
Na sɛ ɔyɛ okunafo anaa obi a wɔagyaa no aware na onni babarima a ɔbɛhwɛ no na ɛno nti ɔsan ba nʼagya nkyɛn a, otumi di nʼagya aduan no bi bio. Eyinom akyi no, asɔfo no abusuafo nko ara na wɔwɔ ho kwan sɛ wodi afɔrebɔde kronkron no.
14 And when a man eats of a holy thing through ignorance, then he has added its fifth part to it, and has given [it] to the priest, with the holy thing;
“Sɛ obi anhu na okodi saa afɔrebɔde kronkron no bi a, ɛsɛ sɛ otua ho ka na ɔsan bɔ ho nkyɛmu ɔha mu aduonu de ka ho.
15 and they do not defile the holy things of the sons of Israel—that which they lift up to YHWH,
Afɔrebɔde kronkron a Israelfo de aba no, ɛnsɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔmmaa wɔn ho kwan sɛ wonni bi no di bi, efisɛ Awurade na ɔde saa afɔrebɔde yi nyinaa abrɛ no.
16 or have caused them to bear the iniquity of the guilt-offering in their eating their holy things; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying them.”
Na obiara a obebu saa mmara yi so no di ho fɔ, na asɛm da ne so, efisɛ wadi afɔrebɔde kronkron. Na mene Awurade a metew afɔrebɔde nyinaa ho.”
17 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
18 “Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who brings his offering near, of all his vows, or of all his willing offerings which they bring near to YHWH for a burnt-offering—
“Ka kyerɛ Aaron ne ne mmabarima ne Israelfo nyinaa se, ‘Sɛ Israelni anaa obi a ɔne mo te bɔ ɔhyew afɔre ma Awurade a, sɛ ɛyɛ afɔrebɔde a ɛyɛ bɔhyɛ bi nti anaa ɔno ara ne pɛ mu na ɔrebɔ no,
19 [you bring near] at your pleasure a perfect one, a male of the herd, of the sheep or of the goats;
sɛ afɔrebɔde no yɛ aboanini a ne ho nni dɛm biara a ɔyɛ nantwi ba anaa oguan anaa abirekyi no, Awurade begye.
20 nothing in which [is] blemish do you bring near, for it is not for a pleasing thing for you.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔde biribiara a ɛho tɔ kyima bɔ afɔre, efisɛ wɔrennye wɔ wo din mu.
21 And when a man brings a sacrifice of peace-offerings near to YHWH, to complete a special vow, or for a willing-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it is perfect for a pleasing thing: no blemish is in it.
Obiara a ofi nʼanantwi anaa ne nguan mu sɛ ɔrebɔ asomdwoe afɔre ama Awurade no, sɛ ɛyɛ bɔhyɛ bi ho afɔrebɔ anaa ɔno ara ne pɛ mu no, ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔde aboa a wadi dɛm na ɛbɔ saa afɔre no na ama wɔagye.
22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or [having] an oozing sore [[or a defect of the eye]], or itch, or scab—you do not bring these near to YHWH, and you do not make a fire-offering from them on the altar to YHWH.
Aboa a nʼani abɔ anaa wadi dɛm anaa wapira anaa kuru anaa nwewee wɔ ne ho, anaa were ani yare ayɛ no no, ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔde no bɔ afɔre ma Awurade. Ɔmfata sɛ wɔde no ba afɔremuka so bɛbɔ afɔre ama Awurade.
23 As for an ox or sheep [that] is deformed or stunted—you make it a willing-offering, but it is not pleasing for a vow.
Sɛ biribi a ɛboro so anaa ɛtɔ sin wɔ nantwi ba anaa oguan ba a wɔde no rebrɛ Awurade no ho a, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔde no bɔ ɔpɛ mu afɔre na mmom, ɛnyɛ bɔhyɛ afɔre.
24 As for bruised, or beaten, or torn, or cut—you do not bring [it] near to YHWH; and in your land you do not do it.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔde aboa a wɔasa no bɔ Awurade afɔre. Monnyɛ eyi wɔ mo ankasa asase so,
25 And you do not bring the bread of your God near from the hand of a son of a stranger, from any of these, for their corruption [is] in them; blemish [is] in them; they are not pleasing for you.”
na munnye saa mmoa no mmfi ahɔho a wɔfra mo mu hɔ mmfa mmɔ aduan afɔre mma mo Nyankopɔn. Wɔrennye, efisɛ wɔtɔ kyima na wɔadi dɛm.’”
26 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
27 “When ox, or lamb, or goat is born, and it has been under its mother [for] seven days, then from the eighth day and from now on, it is pleasing for an offering, a fire-offering to YHWH;
“Sɛ wɔwo nantwi, oguan anaa abirekyi ba a, ɛsɛ sɛ aboa no tena ne na nkyɛn nnanson. Na efi nnaawɔtwe rekɔ no, sɛ wɔde no bɔ ogya afɔre a, Awurade begye.
28 but an ox or sheep—you do not slaughter it and its young one in one day.
Munnkum aboa bi ne ne ba da koro, sɛ ɔyɛ nantwi anaa oguan.
29 And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to YHWH, you sacrifice at your pleasure;
“Sɛ morebɔ aseda afɔre ama Awurade a, ɛsɛ sɛ mofa ɔkwan pa so na wɔagye wɔ mo din mu.
30 it is eaten on that day—you do not leave of it until morning; I [am] YHWH.
Ɛsɛ sɛ, mowe aboa a wɔde no bɔɔ afɔre no nam da no ara a wokum no no. Mommma ade nkye bi so. Mene Awurade.
31 And you have kept my commands and have done them; I [am] YHWH;
“Munni me mmaransɛm nyinaa so na mene Awurade.
32 and you do not defile My holy Name, and I have been hallowed in the midst of the sons of Israel; I [am] YHWH, sanctifying you,
Ɛnsɛ sɛ mugu me din kronkron no ho fi. Munni me ni na mene Awurade, a meyɛ mo kronkron
33 who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt, to become your God; I [am] YHWH.”
na me na mede mo fii Misraim bae sɛ mɛyɛ mo Nyankopɔn. Mene Awurade.”
