< Leviticus 22 >

1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
BAWIPA ni Mosi koe bout a dei pouh e teh,
2 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and they are separated from the holy things of the sons of Israel, and they do not defile My holy Name in what they are hallowing to Me; I [am] YHWH.
Aron hoi capanaw ni kai hanelah thoung sak laihoi ka min mathoe hoeh hanelah, Isarel miphunnaw e kathounge hnonaw hoi amamouh hoi kâhla sak hanlah dei pouh. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh.
3 Say to them: Throughout your generations, any man who draws near, out of all your seed, to the holy things which the sons of Israel sanctify to YHWH, and his uncleanness [is] on him—indeed, that person has been cut off from before My face; I [am] YHWH.
BAWIPA hanelah Isarel miphunnaw thoung sak nateh, kathounge hnonaw hah, thoung laipalah ka hnai e vaihmanaw teh, Kai koehoi takhoe lah ao han. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh.
4 Any man of the seed of Aaron, and he is leprous or has discharging—he does not eat of the holy things until he is clean; and he who is coming against any uncleanness of a person, or a man whose seed [from] intercourse goes out from him,
Ka hrikbei e hoi lacip patawnae ka tawn e Aron e capanaw teh, a thoung awh hoehroukrak kathounge hno cat awh mahoeh. Ro hoi kâkuen lah kathounghoehe hno ka tek e tami, a yangtui ka tâcawt e tami,
5 or a man who comes against any teeming thing which is unclean to him, or against a man who is unclean to him, even any of his uncleanness—
Ama kakhin sak thai e, a von hoi ka kâva e saring ka tek e tami, khinnae buetbuet touh hoi kâkhinsak e tami, hot patet e tami kâbet e taminaw teh,
6 the person who comes against it has even been unclean until the evening, and does not eat of the holy things, but has bathed his flesh with water,
Tangmin totouh kathounghoehe lah ao awh han. Tui kamhluk hoehpawiteh kathounge cat mahoeh.
7 and the sun has gone in, and he has been clean, and afterward he eats of the holy things, for it [is] his food;
Kanî a khup hoi teh kathounge lah ao toung dawkvah, Kathounge hno teh ahnimae rawca lah ao dawkvah bout a ca han.
8 he does not eat a carcass or torn thing, to become unclean with it; I [am] YHWH.
Ama pouk kadout e saring, sarang ni a kei e caha cat mahoeh. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh.
9 And they have kept My charge, and bear no sin for it, that they have died for it when they defile it; I [am] YHWH sanctifying them.
Vaihmanaw ni ka phunglam a raphoe awh teh, a yonnae kecu dawk a due awh hoeh nahanelah, Kaie phunglam a tarawi awh han. Kai teh nangmouh kathoung sak e BAWIPA doeh.
10 And no stranger eats of the holy thing; a settler [with] a priest and a hired worker does not eat of the holy thing;
Alawilae tami ni kathounge hno poe e hah, cat mahoeh. Vaihma im ka luen e imyin ni cat mahoeh. Thaw tawk hanlah hlai e tami ni hai cat mahoeh.
11 but when a priest buys a person, the purchase of his money, he eats of it, also one born in his house; they eat of his bread.
Vaihma ni phoisa hoi a ran e tami, a kawk e taminaw ni hote rawca teh a ca han.
12 And a priest’s daughter, when she is a strange man’s, she does not eat of the raised-offering of the holy things;
Vaihma canu teh alawilae tami ni a yu lah lat pawiteh, kathounge hno poe e hah cat mahoeh.
13 but a priest’s daughter, when she is a widow, or cast out, and has no seed, and has turned back to the house of her father, as [in] her youth, she eats of her father’s bread; but no stranger eats of it.
Hateiteh, a vâ a due nakunghai thoseh, a vâ hoi kamphei nakunghai thoseh, ca khe laipalah a na pa im bout a ban teh a nawnae patetlah bout awm pawiteh, a na pa ni a ca e bout a ca han. Alawilae tami ni cat mahoeh.
14 And when a man eats of a holy thing through ignorance, then he has added its fifth part to it, and has given [it] to the priest, with the holy thing;
Tami ni kathounge hno panuek laipalah cat payon pawiteh, ca payonnae hno phu hoi pung panga touh dawk pung touh vaihma koe bout a sin han.
15 and they do not defile the holy things of the sons of Israel—that which they lift up to YHWH,
Isarel miphunnaw ni BAWIPA koe poe e kathounge hnonaw hah, khin sak mahoeh.
16 or have caused them to bear the iniquity of the guilt-offering in their eating their holy things; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying them.”
Hote hnonaw ka cat payon ni teh sak payonnae yon teh amamouh ni a khang han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Kai teh nangmouh kathoung sak e BAWIPA doeh.
17 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
BAWIPA ni Mosi koe, nang ni Aron hoi a canaw, Isarelnaw pueng koe patuen na dei pouh han e teh,
18 “Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who brings his offering near, of all his vows, or of all his willing offerings which they bring near to YHWH for a burnt-offering—
Isarel miphun thoseh, Isarelnaw koe kho ka sak e Jentelnaw thoseh, lawkkam e lahoi poe e hno, lungtho lahoi poe e hno lah kaawm e hmaisawi thuengnae Cathut koe thueng han na ngai pawiteh,
19 [you bring near] at your pleasure a perfect one, a male of the herd, of the sheep or of the goats;
Cathut lungyouk nahanelah kacueme tu, hmae, hoi maitotannaw hah na poe awh han.
20 nothing in which [is] blemish do you bring near, for it is not for a pleasing thing for you.
Toun kaawm e saring na poe awh mahoeh. Poe pawiteh Cathut ni a lungyouk mahoeh.
21 And when a man brings a sacrifice of peace-offerings near to YHWH, to complete a special vow, or for a willing-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it is perfect for a pleasing thing: no blemish is in it.
Lawkkam e lahoi poe e, lungtho e lahoi poe e tu, hmae, hoi maitonaw hah BAWIPA koe roum thuengnae lah poe han na ngai pawiteh, a lungyouk thai nahanlah, akuepcing han. Toun han buet touh boehai awm han naseh.
22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or [having] an oozing sore [[or a defect of the eye]], or itch, or scab—you do not bring these near to YHWH, and you do not make a fire-offering from them on the altar to YHWH.
A mit ka dawn e, A hru ka lawt e, a tak ka kuep hoeh e, a hmâ ka cat e, ka pâphu e, ka raipha e, hot patet e patawnae buet touh awm pawiteh, Cathut koe poe mahoeh.
23 As for an ox or sheep [that] is deformed or stunted—you make it a willing-offering, but it is not pleasing for a vow.
Ma lungtho hoi poenae dawk teh, maito thoseh, tu thoseh, a takthai ka vout e lahoi poenae dawk teh hot patet e hah a lungyouk mahoeh.
24 As for bruised, or beaten, or torn, or cut—you do not bring [it] near to YHWH; and in your land you do not do it.
A yangtuen buet touh ka khe e, hoehpawiteh, ka tangpawk e, hoehpawiteh phengcatai e teh Cathut koe poe mahoeh. Nangmae ram thung hot patet e thuengnae na sak awh mahoeh.
25 And you do not bring the bread of your God near from the hand of a son of a stranger, from any of these, for their corruption [is] in them; blemish [is] in them; they are not pleasing for you.”
Hot patet e saring hah Jentelnaw ni ka poe nakunghai toun ao dawkvah na Cathut e pawi hanlah poe hanh naseh. Poe pawiteh a lungyouk mahoeh telah ati.
26 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
BAWIPA ni Mosi koe bout a dei pouh e teh,
27 “When ox, or lamb, or goat is born, and it has been under its mother [for] seven days, then from the eighth day and from now on, it is pleasing for an offering, a fire-offering to YHWH;
Tu, hmae hoi maito naw a khe navah, hnin sari touh thung a ca hoi a manu na papek awh mahoeh. A hnin taroe hnin hoi doeh, BAWIPA koe hmai thuengnae hanlah a khout.
28 but an ox or sheep—you do not slaughter it and its young one in one day.
Maito thoseh, tu hoi hmae thoseh, a manu hoi a ca hnin touh dawk mek na thet mahoeh.
29 And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to YHWH, you sacrifice at your pleasure;
Hahoi, BAWIPA koe lunghawilawkdeinae thuengnae poe hanlah na ngai pawiteh a lungyouk lah poe haw.
30 it is eaten on that day—you do not leave of it until morning; I [am] YHWH.
Hnin touh hoi be na ca han. Atangtho ditouh na pek mahoeh. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh.
31 And you have kept my commands and have done them; I [am] YHWH;
Nangmouh ni kaie kâpoelawknaw na tarawi awh han. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh.
32 and you do not defile My holy Name, and I have been hallowed in the midst of the sons of Israel; I [am] YHWH, sanctifying you,
Ka min kathoung heh na khin sak awh mahoeh. Isarelnaw ni BAWIPA a thoung telah a panue awh han.
33 who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt, to become your God; I [am] YHWH.”
Kai teh nangmae Cathut lah ka o nahanlah, Izip ram hoi na ka tâcawt sakkung hoi na kathoung sakkung lah ka o. Kai teh BAWIPA doeh telah ati.
