< Leviticus 21 >
1 And YHWH says to Moses, “Speak to the priests, sons of Aaron, and you have said to them: No one defiles himself for a [dead] person among his people,
Hoe ty nitsara’ Iehovà amy Mosè: Misaontsia amo mpisoroñeo, o ana’ i Aharoneo, le itaroño ty hoe: Asoao tsy ho am’iereo ty haniva vatañe ami’ty lolo am’ondati’eo,
2 except for his relation who [is] near to him: for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
naho tsy t’ie longo marine: ty rene’e ndra i rae’e, ty anadahi’e ndra ty anak’ ampela’e ndra ty rahalahi’e
3 and for his sister, the virgin, who is near to him, who has not been to a man; he is defiled for her.
ndra ty rahavave’e somondrara marine aze tsy amam-baly; ie ro azo anivam-batañe.
4 A master [priest] does not defile himself among his people—to defile himself;
Tsy handeo-batañe re, ie talè añivo’ ondati’eo, haniva’e vatañe.
5 they do not make baldness on their head, and they do not shave the corner of their beard, and they do not make a cutting in their flesh;
Tsy hanoe’ iareo peake ty añambone’ iareo le tsy ho harateñe ty indran-tanteahe’ iareo ndra hanoritory sandriñe.
6 they are holy to their God, and they do not defile the Name of their God, for the fire-offerings of YHWH, bread of their God, they are bringing near, and have been holy.
Ie hiavake ho aman’ Añahare’e, naho tsy hiteratera ty tahinan’ Añahare’ iareo; f’ie ro mpañenga an’ afo am’ Iehovà ty mahakaman’ Añahare’ iareo, toe miavake iereo.
7 They do not take a woman of harlotry, or defiled, and they do not take a woman cast out from her husband, for he [is] holy to his God;
Tsy hangala-baly ami’ty kàrapilo ndra ami’ty maleotse iereo, le tsy hañenga rakemba narian-dahy; amy t’ie miavake aman’Añahare’e.
8 and you have sanctified him, for he is bringing the bread of your God near. He is holy to you, for I, YHWH, sanctifying you, [am] holy.
Aa le atokano, fa ie ty mpanjotso mahakama aman’ Añahare’o. Hiavake ama’o re, amy te masin-dRaho Iehovà, mpampiavake anahareo.
9 And when a daughter of any priest defiles herself by going whoring—she is defiling her father; she is burned with fire.
Ie manao hatsimirirañe ty anak’ ampelam-pisoroñe ro maniva an-drae’e, ho forototoeñe añ’afo.
10 And the high priest of his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who has consecrated his hand to put on the garments, does not uncover his head, nor tear his garments,
I mpisoroñe zoke’ o rahalahi’eoy, i nañiliñañe mena-pañorizañe añambone’e eo naho naambake hisikiñe o saroñeoy ro tsy handoly sabaka vaho tsy handriatse ty saro’e.
11 nor does he come beside any dead person; he does not defile himself for his father and for his mother;
Tsy hiziliha’e ty aman-dolo, tsy hanivà’e sandriñe ndra t’ie rae’e ndra te rene’e;
12 nor does he go out from the sanctuary, nor does he defile the sanctuary of his God, for the separation of the anointing oil of his God [is] on him; I [am] YHWH.
vaho tsy hienga i miavakey ndra haniva i toe-miava’ Nañahare’ey; fa ama’e i mena-pañorizañe nañavahañe aze aman’ Añahare’ey: Izaho Iehovà.
13 And he takes a wife in her virginity;
Somondrara ty hengae’e ho vali’e,
14 a widow, or cast out, or defiled, [or] a harlot—these he does not take, but he takes a virgin of his own people [for] a wife,
tsy hengae’e ty vantotse ndra ty nitseizeñe ndra ty ampela nileoreñe, ndra ty tsimirirañe; fa ty ampela tsy nahavanilahy boak’ amo longo’eo ty hengae’e
15 and he does not defile his seed among his people; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying him.”
tsy mone haniva o tarira’eo amo longo’eo; Izaho Iehovà Mpampiavak’ aze.
16 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Le hoe ty nitsarae’ Iehovà amy Mosè:
17 “Speak to Aaron, saying, No man of your seed throughout their generations in whom there is blemish draws near to bring the bread of his God near,
Saontsio amy Aharone ty hoe: Tsy mahazo miharine hañenga ty mahakaman’ Añahare’e ty tiri’o aman-kandra amo tarira’o mifandimbeo.
18 for no man in whom [is] a blemish draws near: a man blind, or lame, or disfigured, or deformed,
Le tsy mahazo mitotoke mb’eo t’indaty aman-kandra: ke te fey, he te kepeke, he aman-kandran-tarehe, ke kombimba,
19 or a man in whom there is a breach in the foot, or a breach in the hand,
ke te ondaty fola-pandia, he fola-pitàñe,
20 or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or [with] a defect in his eye, or [with] an itch, or [with] a scab, or [with] a broken testicle.
ke langa, he kana, ke aman-kandram-pihaino, he aman-kàteñe, ke hezam-bae, hera aman-tabiry dinemoke.
21 No man in whom is blemish (of the seed of Aaron the priest) comes near to bring the fire-offerings of YHWH near; blemish [is] in him; he does not come near to bring the bread of his God near.
Aa le tsy hiharivo hañenga soroñe am’ Iehovà ze ondaty aman-kandra amo tarira’ i Aharone mpisoroñeo. Ie aman-kandra, ro tsy hañarine hañenga o mahakaman’ Añahare’eo.
22 Bread of his God—from the most holy things and from the holy things—he eats;
Mete ikama’e ty mahakaman’ Añahare’e: o miava-do’eo naho o miavakeo.
23 only, he does not come toward the veil, and he does not draw near to the altar; for blemish [is] in him; and he does not defile My sanctuaries; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying them.”
F’ie tsy hizilik’ amy lamba fañefetsey ndra hiharine i kitreliy, ty amy hàndra’ey; tsy mone ho tivae’e i toeko miavakey; amy te Izaho Iehovà Mpampiavak’ iareo.
24 And Moses speaks to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel.
Aa le nitaroñe’ i Mosè amy Aharone naho amo ana’eo vaho amo hene ana’ Israeleo izay.
