Leviticus 21
1 And YHWH says to Moses, “Speak to the priests, sons of Aaron, and you have said to them: No one defiles himself for a [dead] person among his people,
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನೀನು ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು: ಸತ್ತವರ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಯಾಜಕನೂ ಅಪವಿತ್ರನಾಗಬಾರದು.
2 except for his relation who [is] near to him: for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗಿ, ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿ, ಅವನ ಮಗನಿಗಾಗಿ, ಅವನ ಮಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗಾಗಿ,
3 and for his sister, the virgin, who is near to him, who has not been to a man; he is defiled for her.
ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯಾದ ಸಹೋದರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊರತು,
4 A master [priest] does not defile himself among his people—to defile himself;
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಬಾರದು.
5 they do not make baldness on their head, and they do not shave the corner of their beard, and they do not make a cutting in their flesh;
“‘ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡದ ಮೂಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಗಾಯಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
6 they are holy to their God, and they do not defile the Name of their God, for the fire-offerings of YHWH, bread of their God, they are bringing near, and have been holy.
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಗೌರವಪಡಿಸದೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವರು.
7 They do not take a woman of harlotry, or defiled, and they do not take a woman cast out from her husband, for he [is] holy to his God;
“‘ಯಾಜಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಶೀಲಭ್ರಷ್ಠ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಗಂಡನಿಂದ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಪಡೆದವಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
8 and you have sanctified him, for he is bringing the bread of your God near. He is holy to you, for I, YHWH, sanctifying you, [am] holy.
ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರೆಣಿಸಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ನನಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವವರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೇವರ ದಾಸರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರೆಂದು ನೀನು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು.
9 And when a daughter of any priest defiles herself by going whoring—she is defiling her father; she is burned with fire.
“‘ಯಾವುದೇ ಯಾಜಕನ ಮಗಳು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಅಗೌರವಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು.
10 And the high priest of his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who has consecrated his hand to put on the garments, does not uncover his head, nor tear his garments,
“‘ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೊಳಗೆ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯಾವನು ತೈಲಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಹೊಂದಿ, ದೀಕ್ಷಾವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನೋ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು, ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು.
11 nor does he come beside any dead person; he does not defile himself for his father and for his mother;
ಯಾವ ಮೃತ ಶರೀರದ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳ ಮರಣದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
12 nor does he go out from the sanctuary, nor does he defile the sanctuary of his God, for the separation of the anointing oil of his God [is] on him; I [am] YHWH.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾನೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು.
13 And he takes a wife in her virginity;
“‘ಅವನು ಪುರುಷ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೇ ಹೊರತು
14 a widow, or cast out, or defiled, [or] a harlot—these he does not take, but he takes a virgin of his own people [for] a wife,
ವಿಧವೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಗಂಡ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಪವಿತ್ರಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಇಂಥವರನ್ನು ಅವನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
15 and he does not defile his seed among his people; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying him.”
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.’”
16 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
17 “Speak to Aaron, saying, No man of your seed throughout their generations in whom there is blemish draws near to bring the bread of his God near,
“ಆರೋನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು: ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಿಗೆ ನ್ಯೂನತೆವಿರುತ್ತದೋ, ಅವನು ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರಬಾರದು.
18 for no man in whom [is] a blemish draws near: a man blind, or lame, or disfigured, or deformed,
ಊನಗೊಂಡ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಎಂದರೆ, ಕಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದವನು, ಕುಂಟನು, ಕುರೂಪವುಳ್ಳವನು, ಅಂಗವಿಕಲನು,
19 or a man in whom there is a breach in the foot, or a breach in the hand,
ಮುರಿದ ಪಾದವುಳ್ಳವನು, ಮುರಿದ ಕೈಯುಳ್ಳವನು,
20 or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or [with] a defect in his eye, or [with] an itch, or [with] a scab, or [with] a broken testicle.
ಗೂನು ಬೆನ್ನುಳ್ಳವನು, ಗಿಡ್ಡನು, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯೂನತೆವುಳ್ಳವನು, ಕಜ್ಜಿತುರಿಗಳುಳ್ಳವನು, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ನಪುಂಸಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವನು,
21 No man in whom is blemish (of the seed of Aaron the priest) comes near to bring the fire-offerings of YHWH near; blemish [is] in him; he does not come near to bring the bread of his God near.
ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯೂನತೆವುಳ್ಳ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಬಾರದು. ನ್ಯೂನತೆವುಳ್ಳವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಬರಬಾರದು.
22 Bread of his God—from the most holy things and from the holy things—he eats;
ಅವನು ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.
23 only, he does not come toward the veil, and he does not draw near to the altar; for blemish [is] in him; and he does not defile My sanctuaries; for I [am] YHWH, sanctifying them.”
ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನ್ಯೂನತೆವುಳ್ಳವನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ತೆರೆಯ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು ಹಾಗು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಾನೇ.’”
24 And Moses speaks to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel.
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಆರೋನನಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
