< Leviticus 17 >
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
BAWIPA ni Mosi koe,
2 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel; and you have said to them: This [is] the thing which YHWH has commanded, saying,
3 Any man of the house of Israel who slaughters ox, or lamb, or goat in the camp, or who slaughters [it] at the outside of the camp,
Isarel miphun dawk e tami buetbuet touh ni tu, hmae maito hah rim thung a thei nakunghai thoseh, rim alawilah a thei nakunghai thoseh,
4 and has not brought it in to the opening of the Tent of Meeting to bring an offering near to YHWH before the Dwelling Place of YHWH, blood is reckoned to that man—he has shed blood—and that man has been cut off from the midst of his people;
Cathut e lukkareiim hmalah, Cathut koe thuengnae sak hanelah, kamkhuengnae lukkareiim takhang koe thokhai hoehpawiteh, hote tami teh hringnae a thei dawk a yon telah pouk han. Thi ka palawng e hote tami teh a miphun dawk hoi takhoe lah ao han.
5 so that the sons of Israel bring in their sacrifices which they are sacrificing on the face of the field, indeed, they have brought them to YHWH, to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and they have sacrificed sacrifices of peace-offerings to YHWH with them.
Isarel miphunnaw ni kahrawng um vah thueng e satheinaw hah kamkhuengnae lukkareiim takhang hmalah, Cathut koe vaihma hmalah a thokhai vaiteh, roum thuengnae a sak han.
6 And the priest has sprinkled the blood on the altar of YHWH, at the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and has made incense with the fat for refreshing fragrance to YHWH;
Vaihma ni hote sathei thi hah tamimaya kamkhuengnae takhang teng e khoungroe van a kahei vaiteh, athaw hai Cathut koe hmuitui hanlah hmai a sawi han.
7 and they do not sacrifice their sacrifices anymore to the goat [idols] after which they are going whoring; this is a continuous statute to them, throughout their generations.
Ahnimouh ni apasueke a kâyo awh e patetlah hmalah kahraituilinaw koe thuengnae bout sak awh mahoeh. Hete kâlawk teh ahnimae miphun catounnaw ditouh a tarawi hane kâlawk lah ao.
8 And you say to them: Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners who sojourns in your midst, who causes burnt-offering or sacrifice to ascend,
Isarel miphun thoseh, nangmouh koe kho ka sak e alouke miphun thoseh, hmaisawi thuengnae hoehpawiteh, alouke sathei buetbuet touh, a thueng navah,
9 and does not bring it in to the opening of the Tent of Meeting to make it to YHWH—that man has been cut off from his people.
BAWIPA koe thuengnae a sak han navah, kamkhuengnae lukkareiim takhang koe a thokhai hoehpawiteh, hote tami teh a miphun dawk hoi na takhoe awh han telah ahnimouh koe na dei pouh awh han.
10 And any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners who is sojourning in your midst, who eats any blood, I have even set My face against the person who is eating the blood, and have cut him off from the midst of his people;
11 for the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar, to make atonement for your souls; for it [is] the blood which makes atonement for the soul.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, tak hringnae teh thi dawk doeh ao. Tami e yon katha thai e teh thi doeh.
12 Therefore I have said to the sons of Israel: No person among you eats blood, and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst does not eat blood;
Hatdawkvah, nangmouh dawk apihai thi na cat awh mahoeh. Nangmouh koe kho ka sak e alouke miphunnaw hai thi cat awh mahoeh telah Isarel miphunnaw koe Kai ni kâ ka poe.
13 and any man of the sons of Israel, or of the sojourners who is sojourning in your midst, who hunts game, beast or bird, which is eaten—has even poured out its blood and covered it with dust;
Isarel miphunnaw hoehpawiteh nangmouh koe kho ka sak e alouke miphunnaw buetbuet touh ni a hrampa teh ca hanelah moithang tava man pawiteh, thi a palawng vaiteh talai hoi a paten han.
14 for [it is] the life of all flesh, its blood is for its life; and I say to the sons of Israel: You do not eat [the] blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; anyone eating it is cut off.
Thi teh moithang pueng e hringnae lah ao.
15 And any person who eats a carcass or torn thing, among natives or among sojourners, has washed his garments and bathed with water, and been unclean until the evening—then he has been clean;
16 and if he does not wash, and does not bathe his flesh—then he has borne his iniquity.”
