< Leviticus 1 >
1 And YHWH calls to Moses, and speaks to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying,

2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: Any man of you, when he brings an offering near to YHWH out of the livestock—out of the herd or out of the flock—you bring your offering near.

3 If his offering [is] a burnt-offering out of the herd, he brings a male near, a perfect one, to the opening of the Tent of Meeting; he brings it near at his pleasure before YHWH;
Maito hah hmaisawi thuengnae lah a sak han ngai pawiteh, kacueme a na tongpa na thokhai vaiteh, Cathut lungyouk nahanlah kamkhuengnae lukkareiim takhang koe na poe han.
4 and he has laid his hand on the head of the burnt-offering, and it has been accepted for him to make atonement for him;
Thueng e maito lû dawk amae kut a toung vaiteh, ahnie yontha nahanlah a dâw han.
5 and he has slaughtered the son of the herd before YHWH; and sons of Aaron, the priests, have brought the blood near, and sprinkled the blood around the altar, which [is] at the opening of the Tent of Meeting.
BAWIPA hmalah hote maito a thei awh hnukkhu, Aron e capanaw ni a thi hah a sin awh vaiteh, kamkhuengnae lukkareiim takhang teng sathei thuengnae khoungroe van petkâtue lah thi a kahei han.
6 And he has stripped the burnt-offering, and has cut it into its pieces;
Thuengnae ka sak e tami ni saring e pho a hlip vaiteh, thoukthouk a tâtueng han.
7 and the sons of Aaron the priest have put fire on the altar, and arranged wood on the fire;
Aron e capa vaihmanaw ni sathei thuengnae khoungroe van, thing a paruen hnukkhu hmai a patawi vaiteh,
8 and sons of Aaron, the priests, have arranged the pieces, with the head and the fat, on the wood, which [is] on the fire, which [is] on the altar;
Thing van vah a lû, athaw hoi a takpatinaw na ta han.
9 and he washes its innards and its legs with water; and the priest has made incense with the whole on the altar, a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of refreshing fragrance to YHWH.
A khok hoi a ruenthinnaw hah tui hoi hmaloe na pâsu han. Vaihma ni hote sathei abuemlahoi khoungroe van hmai hoi a sawi han. Hetteh, hmai hoi sathei thuengnae doeh. BAWIPA koe hmuitui hanlah hmai hoi thuengnae lah ao.
10 And if his offering [is] out of the flock—out of the sheep or out of the goats—he brings a male near, a perfect one, for a burnt-offering,
Tu, hmae hah hmaisawi thuengnae lah sak han na ngai pawiteh, kacueme a na tongpa na thokhai vaiteh,
11 and he has slaughtered it by the side of the altar northward, before YHWH; and sons of Aaron, the priests, have sprinkled its blood around the altar;
BAWIPA hmalah khoungroe atunglah na thei hnukkhu, Aron e capa, vaihmanaw ni a thi hah khoungroe petkâtue lah a kahei han.
12 and he has cut it into its pieces, and its head and its fat, and the priest has arranged them on the wood, which [is] on the fire, which [is] on the altar;
Thuengnae ka sak e tami ni thoukthouk a tâtueng han. A lû hoi a moi hah a pâkhueng vaiteh vaihma ni khoungroe van e thing van a ta han.
13 and he washes the innards and the legs with water, and the priest has brought the whole near, and has made incense on the altar; it [is] a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of refreshing fragrance to YHWH.
A khok hoi a ruenthinnaw hah tui hoi hmaloe a pâsu han. Vaihma ni abuemlahoi a sin vaiteh khoungroe van hmai a sawi han. Hetteh, BAWIPA koe hmaisawi hmuitui thuengnae lah ao.
14 And if his offering [is] a burnt-offering out of the bird to YHWH, then he has brought his offering near out of the turtle-doves or out of the young pigeons,
BAWIPA koe tava hoi hmaisawi thuengnae sak hanlah na ngai pawiteh, bakhu thoseh, âbakhu thoseh, na thokhai vaiteh na poe han.
15 and the priest has brought it near to the altar, and has wrung off its head, and has made incense on the altar, and its blood has been wrung out by the side of the altar;
Vaihma ni khoungroe koe a thokhai hnukkhu, a lahuen a kapen vaiteh khoungroe van hmai a sawi han. A thi teh khoungroe teng a pacâ han.
16 and he has turned aside its crop with its feathers, and has cast it near the altar, eastward, to the place of ashes;
A yoncapo hoi a cuekcaduen dawk e rawcanaw hah na la hnukkhu hraba tanae hmuen, khoungroe hmalah a tâkhawng han.
17 and he has cleaved it with its wings (he does not separate [it]), and the priest has made it an incense on the altar, on the wood, which [is] on the fire; it [is] a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of refreshing fragrance to YHWH.”
