Lamentations 4
1 [ALEPH-BET] How the gold has become dim, Changed the best—the pure gold! Stones of the sanctuary are poured out At the head of all out-places.
ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಸುಕಾಯಿತು! ಬಹಳ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು! ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಸ್ಥಳದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೂ ಬೀದಿಯ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಪಿಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.
2 The precious sons of Zion, Who are comparable with fine gold, How they have been reckoned earthen bottles, Work of the hands of a potter.
ಅಪರಂಜಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನರಾದ ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರು, ಈಗ ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಕೆಯಂತೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ!
3 Even dragons have drawn out the breast, They have suckled their young ones, The daughter of my people has become cruel, Like the ostriches in a wilderness.
ನರಿಗಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಚ್ಚಲನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಎಳೆದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಉಷ್ಟ್ರಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
4 The tongue of a suckling has cleaved to his palate with thirst, Infants asked for bread, they have no dealer [of it] out.
ಹಸುಳೆಗಳ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ದಾಹದಿಂದ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಳೆಯ ಕೂಸುಗಳು ಅನ್ನ ಕೇಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
5 Those eating of delicacies have been desolate in out-places, Those supported on scarlet have embraced dunghills.
ರುಚಿಯಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ತಿಂದವರು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು, ತಿಪ್ಪೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
6 And greater is the iniquity of the daughter of my people, Than the sin of Sodom, That was overturned as [in] a moment, And no hands were stayed on her.
ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಅಕ್ರಮದ ದಂಡನೆಯು ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಪಾಪದ ದಂಡನೆಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಅದು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಲು ಯಾವ ಕೈಗಳೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Purer were her Nazarites than snow, Whiter than milk, ruddier of body than rubies, Of sapphire their form.
ಅವಳ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರರು ಹಿಮಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಲಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಮೈಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹವಳಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಹೊಳಪು ಇಂದ್ರನೀಲ ಮಣಿಯ ಹಾಗಿತ್ತು.
8 Their face has been darker than blackness, They have not been known in out-places, Their skin has cleaved to their bone, It has withered—it has been as wood.
ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರ ರೂಪವು ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲಿನಂತೆ ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಚರ್ಮವು ಅವರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅದು ಒಣಗಿ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ.
9 Better have been the pierced of a sword Than the pierced of famine, For these flow away, pierced through, Without the increase of the field.
ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರು ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಲೇಸು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಫಲಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ಪೆಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತಿಂದು, ಕ್ಷಯಿಸಿ ಹೋದರು.
10 The hands of merciful women have boiled their own children, They have been for food to them, In the destruction of the daughter of my people.
ಕನಿಕರ ತುಂಬಿದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಕೈಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೇ ಬೇಯಿಸಿದವು. ಇವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ನಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವಾದರು.
11 YHWH has completed His fury, He has poured out the fierceness of His anger, And He kindles a fire in Zion, And it devours her foundations.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉಗ್ರವಾದ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಸುರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಿದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
12 The kings of earth did not believe, And any of the inhabitants of the world, That an adversary and enemy would come Into the gates of Jerusalem.
ಭೂರಾಜರೂ, ವಿರೋಧಿಯೂ, ಶತ್ರುವೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ನಂಬುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Because of the sins of her prophets, The iniquities of her priests, Who are shedding in her midst the blood of the righteous,
ಅವಳ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ, ಅವಳ ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
14 They have wandered naked in out-places, They have been defiled with blood, Without [any] being able to touch their clothing,
ಅವರು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುರುಡರಂತೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ಕಲುಷಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಲಾರದೇ ಹೋದರು.
15 “Turn aside—unclean,” they called to them, “Turn aside, turn aside, do not touch,” For they fled—indeed, they have wandered, They have said among nations: “They do not add to sojourn.”
ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ, ನೀವು ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ನೀವು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಂದು ಬೇರೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
16 The face of YHWH has divided them, He does not add to behold them, They have not lifted up the face of priests, They have not favored [the] old and elderly.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಿತು. ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17 While we exist—consumed are our eyes for our vain help, In our watchtower we have watched for a nation [that] does not save.
ನಮಗಾದರೋ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿ ಸೋತು ಹೋದವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾರದಂಥ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
18 They have hunted our steps from going in our broad-places, Near has been our end, fulfilled our days, For our end has come.
ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ತೀರಿದವು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಬಂದಿತು.
19 Swifter have been our pursuers, Than the eagles of the heavens, On the mountains they have burned [after] us, In the wilderness they have laid wait for us.
ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವರು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರುವ ಹದ್ದುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕಿದರು.
20 The breath of our nostrils—the anointed of YHWH, Has been captured in their pits, of whom we said: “We live among nations in his shadow.”
ಯಾರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವನ ನೆರಳಿನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡೆವೋ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೂಗಿನ ಉಸಿರಾದ ಆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನು ಅವರ ಬಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡನು.
21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, Dwelling in the land of Uz, Even to you a cup passes over, You are drunk, and make yourself naked.
ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ಊಚ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವಳೇ, ಆನಂದಿಸು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡು; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ಸಹ ದಾಟಿ ಬರುವುದು. ನೀನು ಕುಡಿದು, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆ.
22 Completed [is] your iniquity, daughter of Zion, He does not add to remove you, He has inspected your iniquity, O daughter of Edom, He has removed [you] because of your sins!
ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ತೀರಿ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಡಿಪಾರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವನು. ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸುವರು.
