Lamentations 3
1 [ALEPH-BET] I [am] the man [who] has seen affliction By the rod of His wrath.
Eu sunt omul care a văzut necaz prin nuiaua mâniei sale.
2 He has led me, and causes to go [in] darkness, and without light.
El m-a condus și m-a adus în întuneric și nu în lumină.
3 Surely against me He turns back, He turns His hand all the day.
Într-adevăr, împotriva mea s-a întors el; și-a întors mâna împotriva mea, toată ziua.
4 He has worn out my flesh and my skin. He has broken my bones.
El a făcut carnea și pielea mea să îmbătrânească; mi-a zdrobit oasele.
5 He has built up against me, And sets around poverty and weariness.
El a ridicat un zid împotriva mea și m-a încercuit cu fiere și trudă.
6 In dark places He has caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.
El m-a pus în locuri întunecoase, ca pe morții din vechime.
7 He has hedged me in, and I do not go out, He has made heavy my chain.
El m-a îngrădit, încât nu pot ieși; el mi-a îngreunat lanțul.
8 Also when I call and cry out, He has shut out my prayer.
De asemenea și când plâng și strig, el îmi oprește rugăciunea.
9 He has hedged my ways with hewn work, My paths He has made crooked.
El mi-a închis căile cu pietre cioplite, mi-a strâmbat cărările.
10 A bear lying in wait He [is] to me, A lion in secret hiding places.
El a fost pentru mine ca un urs la pândă și ca un leu în locuri tainice.
11 My ways He is turning aside, and He pulls me in pieces, He has made me a desolation.
El mi-a abătut căile și m-a rupt în bucăți, el m-a pustiit.
12 He has bent His bow, And sets me up as a mark for an arrow.
El și-a încordat arcul și m-a pus ca o țintă pentru săgeată.
13 He has caused to enter into my reins The sons of His quiver.
El a făcut ca săgețile tolbei lui să intre în rărunchii mei.
14 I have been a derision to all my people, Their song all the day.
Am fost de râs pentru tot poporul meu și cântecul lor toată ziua.
15 He has filled me with bitter things, He has filled me [with] wormwood.
El m-a umplut cu amărăciuni, m-a îmbătat cu pelin.
16 And He breaks with gravel my teeth, He has covered me with ashes.
De asemenea mi-a zdrobit dinții cu pietriș, m-a acoperit cu cenușă.
17 And You cast off my soul from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.
Și mi-ai alungat sufletul departe de pace, am uitat prosperitatea.
18 And I say, My strength and my hope have perished from YHWH.
Și am spus: Tăria mea și speranța mea din DOMNUL, au pierit,
19 Remember my affliction and my mourning, Wormwood and gall!
Amintindu-mi de necazul meu și de nenorocirea mea, de pelin și de fiere.
20 Remember well, and my soul bows down in me.
Sufletul meu și le amintește încă și este umilit în mine.
21 This I turn to my heart—therefore I hope.
De aceasta îmi amintesc, de aceea am speranță.
22 The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, For His mercies have not ended.
Datorită milelor DOMNULUI nu suntem mistuiți, fiindcă mângâierile lui nu se sfârșesc.
23 New every morning, abundant [is] Your faithfulness.
Ele sunt noi în fiecare dimineață; mare este credincioșia ta.
24 My portion [is] YHWH, my soul has said, Therefore I hope for Him.
DOMNUL este partea mea, spune sufletul meu; de aceea voi spera în el.
25 YHWH [is] good to those waiting for Him, To the soul [that] seeks Him.
DOMNUL este bun cu cei care îl așteaptă, cu sufletul care îl caută.
26 [It is] good when one stays and stands still For the salvation of YHWH.
Este bine ca omul deopotrivă să spere și să aștepte în tăcere salvarea DOMNULUI.
27 [It is] good for a man that he bears a yoke in his youth.
Este bine pentru om să poarte jugul în tinerețea sa.
28 He sits alone, and is silent, For He has laid [it] on him.
El șade singur și tace, deoarece și l-a pus asupra lui.
29 He puts his mouth in the dust, if so be, there is hope.
Își pune gura în țărână; dacă astfel poate fi speranță.
30 He gives to his striker the cheek, He is filled with reproach.
El își dă obrazul celui care îl lovește; este îndestulat cu ocară.
31 For the Lord does not cast off for all time.
Fiindcă DOMNUL nu va lepăda pentru totdeauna;
32 For though He afflicted, yet He has pitied, According to the abundance of His kindness.
Dar deși întristează, totuși va avea mângâiere după mulțimea îndurărilor sale.
33 For He has not afflicted with His heart, Nor does He grieve the sons of men.
Pentru că el nu își pune inima să chinuiască, nici nu mâhnește pe copiii oamenilor.
34 To bruise under one’s feet any bound ones of earth,
Zdrobirea sub picioare a tuturor prizonierilor pământului,
35 To turn aside the judgment of a man, Before the face of the Most High,
Abaterea dreptului unui om înaintea feței celui Preaînalt,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord has not approved.
Domnul nu aprobă a răsturna pe om în cauza lui.
37 Who [is] this—he has spoken, and it is, [And] the Lord has not commanded [it]?
Cine este cel ce spune și se împlinește ceva, când Domnul nu poruncește aceasta?
38 From the mouth of the Most High does not go forth the evils and the good.
Nu din gura celui Preaînalt ies răul și binele?
39 Why does a living man sigh habitually, A man for his sin?
Pentru ce să se plângă un om care trăiește, un om pentru pedepsirea păcatelor lui?
40 We search our ways, and investigate, And turn back to YHWH.
Să ne cercetăm și să ne încercăm căile noastre și să ne întoarcem la DOMNUL.
41 We lift up our heart on the hands to God in the heavens.
Să ne înălțăm inima cu mâinile noastre spre Dumnezeu în ceruri.
42 We have transgressed and been rebellious, You have not forgiven.
Noi am încălcat legea și ne-am răzvrătit; tu nu ai iertat.
43 You have covered Yourself with anger, And pursue us; You have slain—You have not pitied.
Tu ai acoperit cu mânie și ne-ai persecutat; ai ucis, nu ai cruțat.
44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud, So that prayer does not pass through.
Te-ai acoperit cu un nor, ca rugăciunea noastră să nu străbată la tine.
45 Outcast and refuse You make us In the midst of the peoples.
Ne-ai făcut precum gunoiul și mizeria în mijlocul poporului.
46 Opened against us their mouth have all our enemies.
Toți dușmanii noștri și-au deschis gurile împotriva noastră.
47 Fear and a snare has been for us, Desolation and destruction.
Frica și cursa au venit peste noi, pustiirea și distrugerea.
48 Streams of water go down my eye, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Ochiului meu îi curg râuri de apă din cauza nimicirii fiicei poporului meu.
49 My eye is poured out, And does not cease without intermission,
Ochiul meu toarnă și nu încetează, fără oprire,
50 Until YHWH looks and sees from the heavens,
Până când DOMNUL va privi în jos și va vedea din cer.
51 My eye affects my soul, Because of all the daughters of my city.
Ochiul meu îmi influențează inima datorită tuturor fiicelor cetății mele.
52 Hunting—my enemies have hunted me without cause like the bird.
Dușmanii mei m-au urmărit aprig, fără motiv, ca pe o pasăre.
53 They have cut off my life in a pit, And they cast a stone against me.
Mi-au stârpit viața în groapă și au aruncat o piatră peste mine.
54 Waters have flowed over my head, I have said, I have been cut off.
Apele au curs peste capul meu; atunci am spus: Sunt stârpit.
55 I called Your Name, O YHWH, from the lower pit.
Am chemat numele tău, DOAMNE, din groapa cea adâncă.
56 You have heard my voice, do not hide Your ear at my breathing—at my cry.
Tu mi-ai auzit vocea; nu îți ascunde urechea la suflarea mea, la strigătul meu.
57 You have drawn near in the day I call You, You have said, Do not fear.
Tu te-ai apropiat în ziua când eu te-am chemat; ai spus: Nu te teme.
58 You have pleaded, O Lord, the pleadings of my soul, You have redeemed my life.
Doamne, tu ai pledat în cauzele sufletului meu; mi-ai răscumpărat viața.
59 You have seen, O YHWH, my overthrow, Judge my cause.
DOAMNE, tu ai văzut răul, ce mi s-a făcut; judecă tu cauza mea.
60 You have seen all their vengeance, All their thoughts of me.
Ai văzut toată răzbunarea lor și toate închipuirile lor împotriva mea.
61 You have heard their reproach, O YHWH, All their thoughts against me,
Ai auzit ocara lor, DOAMNE și închipuirile lor împotriva mea;
62 The lips of my withstanders, Even their meditation against me all the day.
Buzele celor care s-au ridicat împotriva mea și planul lor împotriva mea toată ziua.
63 Their sitting down, and their rising up, Behold attentively, I [am] their song.
Privește așezarea lor și ridicarea lor; eu sunt muzica lor.
64 You return to them the deed, O YHWH, According to the work of their hands.
Întoarce-le o răsplată, DOAMNE, conform cu lucrarea mâinilor lor.
65 You give to them a covered heart, Your curse to them.
Dă-le întristare a inimii, blestemul tău asupra lor.
66 You pursue in anger, and destroy them, From under the heavens of YHWH!
Persecută-i și nimicește-i în mânie de sub cerurile DOMNULUI.
