< Lamentations 3 >
1 [ALEPH-BET] I [am] the man [who] has seen affliction By the rod of His wrath.
Ondaty nahatrea hasotrian-draho amy kobain-kaviñera’ey.
2 He has led me, and causes to go [in] darkness, and without light.
Niaoloa’e naho nampomba’e mb’an-kamoromoroñañe ao fa tsy mb’an-kazavàñe.
3 Surely against me He turns back, He turns His hand all the day.
Toe nafote’e amako lomoñandro lomoñandro ty fità’e.
4 He has worn out my flesh and my skin. He has broken my bones.
Nanoe’e hambo’e o nofokoo naho o holikoo; sindre pinekapeka’e o taolakoo.
5 He has built up against me, And sets around poverty and weariness.
Nanoa’e hàlañe, nañarikatoha’e afero naho haloviloviañe.
6 In dark places He has caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.
Nampitobohe’e an-toetse maieñe ao iraho, hoe lolo-ela.
7 He has hedged me in, and I do not go out, He has made heavy my chain.
Narindri’e ao tsy hahafionjoñe; nanoe’e mavesatse o silisilikoo.
8 Also when I call and cry out, He has shut out my prayer.
Aa naho mikoikoike hipay imba, le sikadaña’e alafe ao i halalikoy.
9 He has hedged my ways with hewn work, My paths He has made crooked.
Nikalaña’e am-bato vinañe o liakoo, nampikelokelofe’e o oloñolokoo.
10 A bear lying in wait He [is] to me, A lion in secret hiding places.
Hoe amboa romotse mamandroñe ahy, hoe liona añ’etaketak’ ao.
11 My ways He is turning aside, and He pulls me in pieces, He has made me a desolation.
Natsile’e iaby o fombàkoo, naho nirimidrimite’e ty sandriko; nanoe’e babangoañe.
12 He has bent His bow, And sets me up as a mark for an arrow.
Fa nabitso’e ty fale’e, le nohara’e amako ty ana-pale.
13 He has caused to enter into my reins The sons of His quiver.
Nampitrofahe’e ambaniako ao o ana-tsotsòke boak’ an-trañon’ ana-pale’eo.
14 I have been a derision to all my people, Their song all the day.
Fa injè’ondatikoo iraho, bekobekoa’ iareo lomoñandro.
15 He has filled me with bitter things, He has filled me [with] wormwood.
Finaha’e hafairañe vaho natsafe’e vahon-tsoy.
16 And He breaks with gravel my teeth, He has covered me with ashes.
Finoifoi’e am-bato o nifekoo; nalembe’e an-davenok’ ao iraho.
17 And You cast off my soul from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.
Nampihankàñe’o lavi-panintsiñañe ty haveloko; nihaliñoko ze o hasoa zao.
18 And I say, My strength and my hope have perished from YHWH.
Le hoe iraho, Fa modo ty haozarako, ty fitamàko am’ Iehovà.
19 Remember my affliction and my mourning, Wormwood and gall!
Tiahio ty haloviloviako naho ty hasotriako, ty vahon-tsoy naho afero.
20 Remember well, and my soul bows down in me.
Toe tiahi’ ty fiaiko, vaho mibotrek’ amako ao.
21 This I turn to my heart—therefore I hope.
Ty hoe ty apotam-pitsakoreako, mampitamà ahiko, te
22 The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, For His mercies have not ended.
le lia’e tsy mijihetse ty fiferenaiña’ Iehovà tsy mb’ia hilesa o fiferenaiña’eo.
23 New every morning, abundant [is] Your faithfulness.
Vao boak’andro; ra’elahy ty figahiña’o.
24 My portion [is] YHWH, my soul has said, Therefore I hope for Him.
Iehovà ty anjarako, hoe ty troko, aa le ie ty fitamàko.
25 YHWH [is] good to those waiting for Him, To the soul [that] seeks Him.
Soa t’Iehovà amo mahaliñe azeo; amy arofo mipay Azey.
26 [It is] good when one stays and stands still For the salvation of YHWH.
Mahasoa ondatio te mitama, t’ie handiñe am-pianjiñañe ty fandrombaha’ Iehovà.
27 [It is] good for a man that he bears a yoke in his youth.
Hasoa am’ondatio ty mivave ty jokan-katora’e.
28 He sits alone, and is silent, For He has laid [it] on him.
Angao re hiambesatse am-bangiñe ao, hianjiñe, amy te ie ty nandafik’ aze.
29 He puts his mouth in the dust, if so be, there is hope.
Hatoho’e an-debok’ ao ty falie’e, hera ama’e ty fitamañe.
30 He gives to his striker the cheek, He is filled with reproach.
Soa re te hatolo’e amy mandrara- tehak’ azey ty fiambina’e; angao ampiliporeñ’ inje.
31 For the Lord does not cast off for all time.
Fa tsy hañito nainai’e t’i Talè.
32 For though He afflicted, yet He has pitied, According to the abundance of His kindness.
Aa ndra t’ie ty mampioremeñe, mbe hiferenaiña’e amy hafatraram-pikokoa’ey.
33 For He has not afflicted with His heart, Nor does He grieve the sons of men.
Tsy mora ama’e ty mandafa, ndra ty mandilo o ana’ondatio;
34 To bruise under one’s feet any bound ones of earth,
Ie ampidemoheñe am-pandia, ze mpirohi’ ty tane toy;
35 To turn aside the judgment of a man, Before the face of the Most High,
ie tsy omen-to ondatio añatrefa’ i Andindimoneñey,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord has not approved.
ie ampikeloheñe ty enta’ ondatio— tsy arofoana’ i Talè hao?
37 Who [is] this—he has spoken, and it is, [And] the Lord has not commanded [it]?
Ia ty nitaroñe naho nahafetsake zao, naho tsy i Talè ty nametse?
38 From the mouth of the Most High does not go forth the evils and the good.
Tsy boak’am-palie’ i Abo Tiañey hao ty hankàñe naho ty soa?
39 Why does a living man sigh habitually, A man for his sin?
Akore ty itoreova’ondaty veloñeo, o lahilahio ty amo tahi’eo?
40 We search our ways, and investigate, And turn back to YHWH.
Antao hañotsohotso hitsoke o lalan-tikañeo, vaho himpoly mb’am’ Iehovà mb’eo.
41 We lift up our heart on the hands to God in the heavens.
Antao hañonjoñ’ arofo am-pitàñe mb’aman’Añahare an-digiligy añe.
42 We have transgressed and been rebellious, You have not forgiven.
Toe nandilatse zahay naho niola; toly ndra tsy napo’o.
43 You have covered Yourself with anger, And pursue us; You have slain—You have not pitied.
Nikolopok’ an-kaviñeran-drehe te nañoridañe anay; tsy niferenaiña’o t’ie nanjamañe.
44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud, So that prayer does not pass through.
Nisaron-drahon-dRehe, tsy himoahan-kalaly.
45 Outcast and refuse You make us In the midst of the peoples.
Nanoe’o romoromo’e naho forompotse zahay añivo’ o kilakila’ndatio.
46 Opened against us their mouth have all our enemies.
Songa midañadaña falie ama’ay o malaiñ’anaio.
47 Fear and a snare has been for us, Desolation and destruction.
Fa nifetsak’ ama’ay ty hebakebake naho i koboñey, ty famongorañe naho fandrotsahañe.
48 Streams of water go down my eye, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Mitsiritsioke rano o masokoo, amy fandrotsahañe i anak’ampela’ ondatikoy.
49 My eye is poured out, And does not cease without intermission,
Midoandoañe mañambane o masokoo, vaho tsy mijihetse, tsy mitroatse,
50 Until YHWH looks and sees from the heavens,
Ampara’ te mivazoho mañambane t’Iehovà, mitalake boak’ an-dikerañe añe.
51 My eye affects my soul, Because of all the daughters of my city.
Mampihontoke ty troko o masokoo ty amo hene anak’ampelan-drovakoo.
52 Hunting—my enemies have hunted me without cause like the bird.
Fa nikehe ahy hoe kibo, tsy amam-poto’e o malaiñ’ahio.
53 They have cut off my life in a pit, And they cast a stone against me.
Naitoa’ iareo an-koboñe ao ty fiaiko, vaho nandretsa-bato amako.
54 Waters have flowed over my head, I have said, I have been cut off.
Nandipotse ty lohako o ranoo vaho nanoeko ty hoe: Opo iraho!
55 I called Your Name, O YHWH, from the lower pit.
Kinanjiko ty tahina’o ry Iehovà, boak’ an-koboñe loho lalek’ ao.
56 You have heard my voice, do not hide Your ear at my breathing—at my cry.
Jinanji’o ty feoko; ko aeta’o amy ravembia’oy i fitoreokoy hahafikofohako.
57 You have drawn near in the day I call You, You have said, Do not fear.
Nitotok’ ahy irehe amy andro nikanjiako azoy; le hoe irehe: Ko hemban-drehe.
58 You have pleaded, O Lord, the pleadings of my soul, You have redeemed my life.
Ry Talè, nañalañalañe’o o entan’ aikoo; fa jineba’o ty fiaiko.
59 You have seen, O YHWH, my overthrow, Judge my cause.
Ry Iehovà, fa nivazoho’o ty nasarañ’ ahy; ehe izakao.
60 You have seen all their vengeance, All their thoughts of me.
Fa nioni’o ty fitrotrofiaha’ iareo naho ty fikitroha’ iareo amako.
61 You have heard their reproach, O YHWH, All their thoughts against me,
Fa jinanji’o ty inje’ iareo, ry Iehovà, naho o fikililia’ iareo ahy iabio,
62 The lips of my withstanders, Even their meditation against me all the day.
Ty fivimbi’ o nitroatse amakoo, ty fikinià’ iareo ahy lomoñandro,
63 Their sitting down, and their rising up, Behold attentively, I [am] their song.
Vazohò iereo te miambesatse, naho t’ie miongake; izaho bekobekoa’ iareo.
64 You return to them the deed, O YHWH, According to the work of their hands.
Mbe hondroha’o, ry Iehovà, ty amo satam-pità’ iareoo.
65 You give to them a covered heart, Your curse to them.
Kolopofo ty arofo’ iareo, ametsaho fatse!
66 You pursue in anger, and destroy them, From under the heavens of YHWH!
Horidaño an-kaviñerañe vaho mongoro ambanen-dikera’ Iehovà eo.
