< Lamentations 3 >
1 [ALEPH-BET] I [am] the man [who] has seen affliction By the rod of His wrath.
Ine ndine munthu amene ndaona masautso ndi ndodo ya ukali wake.
2 He has led me, and causes to go [in] darkness, and without light.
Wandipititsa kutali ndipo wandiyendetsa mu mdima osati mʼkuwala;
3 Surely against me He turns back, He turns His hand all the day.
zoonadi anandikantha ndi dzanja lake mobwerezabwereza tsiku lonse.
4 He has worn out my flesh and my skin. He has broken my bones.
Wakalambitsa khungu langa ndi mnofu wanga, ndipo waphwanya mafupa anga.
5 He has built up against me, And sets around poverty and weariness.
Wandizinga ndi kundizungulira ndi zowawa ndi zolemetsa.
6 In dark places He has caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.
Wandikhazika mu mdima ngati amene anafa kale.
7 He has hedged me in, and I do not go out, He has made heavy my chain.
Wandimangira khoma kotero kuti sindingathawe, wandimanga ndi maunyolo.
8 Also when I call and cry out, He has shut out my prayer.
Ngakhale pamene ndifuwula kapena kupempha chithandizo, amakana pemphero langa.
9 He has hedged my ways with hewn work, My paths He has made crooked.
Wanditsekera njira yanga ndi miyala yosema; ndipo wakhotetsa tinjira tanga.
10 A bear lying in wait He [is] to me, A lion in secret hiding places.
Wandidikirira ngati chimbalangondo, wandibisalira ngati mkango.
11 My ways He is turning aside, and He pulls me in pieces, He has made me a desolation.
Wandikokera pambali ndi kundingʼambangʼamba, ndipo wandisiya wopanda thandizo.
12 He has bent His bow, And sets me up as a mark for an arrow.
Wakoka uta wake ndipo walunjikitsa mivi yake pa ine.
13 He has caused to enter into my reins The sons of His quiver.
Walasa mtima wanga ndi mivi ya mʼphodo mwake.
14 I have been a derision to all my people, Their song all the day.
Ndinakhala choseketsa cha anthu anga onse; amandinyodola mʼnyimbo zawo tsiku lonse.
15 He has filled me with bitter things, He has filled me [with] wormwood.
Wandidyetsa zowawa ndipo wandimwetsa ndulu.
16 And He breaks with gravel my teeth, He has covered me with ashes.
Wathyola mano anga ndi miyala; wandiviviniza mʼfumbi;
17 And You cast off my soul from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.
Wandichotsera mtendere; ndayiwala kuti kupeza bwino nʼchiyani.
18 And I say, My strength and my hope have perished from YHWH.
Choncho ndikuti, “Ulemerero wanga wachoka ndi zonse zimene ndimayembekeza kwa Yehova.”
19 Remember my affliction and my mourning, Wormwood and gall!
Kukumbukira masautso anga ndi kusowa pokhala, zili ngati zowawa ndi ndulu.
20 Remember well, and my soul bows down in me.
Ine ndikuzikumbukira bwino izi, ndipo moyo wanga wathedwa mʼkati mwanga.
21 This I turn to my heart—therefore I hope.
Komabe ndimakumbukira zimenezi, nʼchifukwa chake ndili ndi chiyembekezo.
22 The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, For His mercies have not ended.
Ife sitinawonongekeretu chifukwa chikondi cha Yehova ndi chachikulu, ndi chifundo chake ndi chosatha.
23 New every morning, abundant [is] Your faithfulness.
Zimaoneka zatsopano mmawa uliwonse; kukhulupirika kwanu nʼkwakukulu.
24 My portion [is] YHWH, my soul has said, Therefore I hope for Him.
Mu mtima mwanga ndimati, “Yehova ndiye zanga zonse; motero ndimamuyembekezera.”
25 YHWH [is] good to those waiting for Him, To the soul [that] seeks Him.
Yehova ndi wabwino kwa amene amayembekezera Iye, kwa munthu amene amafunafuna Iyeyo;
26 [It is] good when one stays and stands still For the salvation of YHWH.
nʼkwabwino kudikira chipulumutso cha Yehova modekha.
27 [It is] good for a man that he bears a yoke in his youth.
Nʼkwabwino kuti munthu asenze goli pamene ali wamngʼono.
28 He sits alone, and is silent, For He has laid [it] on him.
Akhale chete pa yekha, chifukwa Yehova wamusenzetsa golilo.
29 He puts his mouth in the dust, if so be, there is hope.
Abise nkhope yake mʼfumbi mwina chiyembekezo nʼkukhalapobe.
30 He gives to his striker the cheek, He is filled with reproach.
Apereke tsaya lake kwa iye amene angamumenye, ndipo amuchititse manyazi.
31 For the Lord does not cast off for all time.
Chifukwa Ambuye satayiratu anthu nthawi zonse.
32 For though He afflicted, yet He has pitied, According to the abundance of His kindness.
Ngakhale amabweretsa zowawa, Iye adzawachitira chifundo, chifukwa chikondi chake ndi chosatha.
33 For He has not afflicted with His heart, Nor does He grieve the sons of men.
Pakuti sabweretsa masautso mwadala, kapena zowawa kwa ana a anthu.
34 To bruise under one’s feet any bound ones of earth,
Kuphwanya ndi phazi a mʼndende onse a mʼdziko,
35 To turn aside the judgment of a man, Before the face of the Most High,
kukaniza munthu ufulu wake pamaso pa Wammwambamwamba,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord has not approved.
kumana munthu chiweruzo cholungama— kodi Ambuye saona zonsezi?
37 Who [is] this—he has spoken, and it is, [And] the Lord has not commanded [it]?
Kodi ndani angayankhule zinthu nʼkuchitika ngati Ambuye sanavomereze?
38 From the mouth of the Most High does not go forth the evils and the good.
Kodi zovuta ndi zabwino sizituluka mʼkamwa mwa Wammwambamwamba?
39 Why does a living man sigh habitually, A man for his sin?
Kodi nʼchifukwa chiyani munthu aliyense wamoyo amadandaula akalangidwa chifukwa cha machimo ake?
40 We search our ways, and investigate, And turn back to YHWH.

41 We lift up our heart on the hands to God in the heavens.

42 We have transgressed and been rebellious, You have not forgiven.
“Ife tachimwa ndi kuwukira ndipo inu simunakhululuke.
43 You have covered Yourself with anger, And pursue us; You have slain—You have not pitied.
“Mwadzikuta ndi mkwiyo ndi kutilondola ndipo mwatitha mopanda chifundo.
44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud, So that prayer does not pass through.
Mwadzikuta mu mtambo kotero mapemphero athu sakukufikani.
45 Outcast and refuse You make us In the midst of the peoples.
Mwatisandutsa zinyatsi ndi zinyalala pakati pa mitundu ya anthu.
46 Opened against us their mouth have all our enemies.
“Adani anthu atitsekulira pakamwa.
47 Fear and a snare has been for us, Desolation and destruction.
Ife tadzazidwa ndi mantha pakuti tagwa mʼdzenje, tapasuka ndi kuwonongedwa.”
48 Streams of water go down my eye, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Misozi mʼmaso mwanga ikungoti mbwembwembwe chifukwa anthu anga akuwonongedwa.
49 My eye is poured out, And does not cease without intermission,
Misozi idzatsika kosalekeza, ndipo sidzasiya,
50 Until YHWH looks and sees from the heavens,
mpaka Yehova ayangʼane pansi kuchokera kumwamba ndi kuona.

Akundisaka ngati mbalame, amene anali adani anga, popanda chifukwa.

56 You have heard my voice, do not hide Your ear at my breathing—at my cry.
Inu munamva kudandaula kwanga. “Mundimvere kulira kwanga kopempha thandizo.”
57 You have drawn near in the day I call You, You have said, Do not fear.
Munafika pafupi pamene ndinakuyitanani, ndipo munati, “Usaope.”
58 You have pleaded, O Lord, the pleadings of my soul, You have redeemed my life.
Inu Ambuye munandiwombola ku mlandu wanga; munapulumutsa moyo wanga.
59 You have seen, O YHWH, my overthrow, Judge my cause.
Yehova, mwaona zoyipa zimene andichitira. Mundiweruzire ndinu!
60 You have seen all their vengeance, All their thoughts of me.
Mwaona kuzama kwa kubwezera kwawo, chiwembu chawo chonse pa ine.
61 You have heard their reproach, O YHWH, All their thoughts against me,
Inu Yehova mwamva kunyoza kwawo, chiwembu chawo chonse pa ine,
62 The lips of my withstanders, Even their meditation against me all the day.

63 Their sitting down, and their rising up, Behold attentively, I [am] their song.
Tawaonani! Kaya ali pansi kapena kuyimirira, akundinyoza mu nyimbo zawo.
64 You return to them the deed, O YHWH, According to the work of their hands.
Inu Yehova, muwabwezere chowayenera, chifukwa cha zimene manja awo achita.
65 You give to them a covered heart, Your curse to them.
Phimbani mitima yawo, ndipo matemberero anu akhale pa iwo!
66 You pursue in anger, and destroy them, From under the heavens of YHWH!
Muwalondole mwaukali ndipo muwawonongeretu pa dziko lapansi.
