< Lamentations 1 >

1 [ALEPH-BET] How she has sat alone, The city abounding with people! She has been as a widow, The mighty among nations! Princes among provinces, She has become tributary!
Kami hoiah koi vangpui, kawbangmaw angqaikrang ah na oh sut! Praenawk boih salakah lensawkhaih hoi kaom, kawbangmaw lamhmai baktiah na oh ving! Praenawk ih siangpahrang canu loe kawbangmaw tamut paek kami ah oh ving loe!
2 She weeps severely in the night, And her tear [is] on her cheeks, There is no comforter for her out of all her lovers, All her friends dealt treacherously by her, They have been to her for enemies.
Anih loe khoving ah palungnat hoi qah moe, tangbaeng nuiah mikkhraetui long; a tlangainawk thungah anih pathloepkung mi doeh om o ai; ampuinawk boih a nuiah oep om o ai, anih ih misa ah angcoeng o boih boeh.
3 Removed has Judah because of affliction, And because of the abundance of her service; She has dwelt among nations, She has not found rest, All her pursuers have overtaken her between the straits.
Judah loe patanghaih hoi karai toksakhaih pongah, misong ah angcoeng boeh; Sithaw panoek ai prae thungah a oh moe, monghaih to hnu ai boeh; anih patom kaminawk mah anih to ahmuen tamcaek ah kae o.
4 The ways of Zion are mourning, Without any coming at the appointed time, All her gates are desolate, her priests sigh, Her virgins are afflicted—and she has bitterness.
Mi doeh poihkung ah angzo o ai pongah, Zion loe palungset; anih ih khongkhanawk boih loe angqaikrang boeh; nihcae ih qaimanawk doeh angpho o boeh; tangla cuemnawk loe palungnat o moe, palungboenghaih hoiah khosak o.
5 Her adversaries have become chief, Her enemies have been at ease, For YHWH has afflicted her, For the abundance of her transgressions, Her infants have gone captive before the adversary.
A sakpazaehaih pop hmoek baktih toengah Angraeng mah danpaek pongah, a hnukma ih kaminawk to ukkung ah oh o lat moe, a misanawk doeh khosak hoih o boeh; a caanawk loe a misanawk hma ah misong ah laemh o boeh.
6 And all her honor goes out from the daughter of Zion, Her princes have been as harts—They have not found pasture, And they go powerless before a pursuer.
Zion canu loe lensawkhaih hoi kranghoihaih mah caehtaak ving boeh; anih ih siangpahrang capanawk loe caak hanah qam kahing hnu ai tasuk baktiah ni oh o boeh; patom kaminawk hma ah angpho qawt ah a cawnh o.
7 Jerusalem has remembered [In] the days of her affliction and her mournings, all her desirable things that were from the days of old, In the falling of her people into the hand of an adversary, And she has no helper; Adversaries have seen her, They have laughed at her cessation.
Jerusalem loe kamtang tonghaih niah, canghnii ah a tawnh ih khosak hoihaih to a poek; angmah ih kaminawk misa ban thungah krak o naah, abomkung tawn ai; a misanawk mah dan o moe, amrohaih to pahnui o thuih.
8 A sin has Jerusalem sinned, Therefore she has become impure, All who honored her have esteemed her lightly, For they have seen her nakedness, Indeed, she herself has sighed and turns backward.
Jerusalem loe paroeai zae boeh pongah, panuet thoh boeh; bangkrai ah ohhaih to a hnuk o naah, anih khingza vaih kaminawk mah doeh anih to patoek o boeh; ue, anih loe angpho moe, hnukbang amlaem ving boeh.
9 Her uncleanness [is] in her skirts, She has not remembered her latter end, And she comes down wonderfully, There is no comforter for her. See, O YHWH, my affliction, For an enemy has exerted himself.
Panuet kaom hmuen loe anih ih canghnak nuiah akap; anih loe hmabang kaom han koi boenghaih to poek ai; to pongah pathloepkung om ai, dawnrai han oh, anih loe amtim maat boeh; Aw Angraeng, patang ka khanghaih hae khenah, misanawk loe amoek o boeh.
10 His hand has spread out an adversary On all her desirable things, For she has seen—Nations have entered her sanctuary, Concerning which You commanded, “They do not come into the assembly to you.”
Anih ih hmuenmaenawk loe misanawk mah lomh pae o boeh; nang ih kaminawk angpophaih ahmuen ah akun o sak hmah, tiah lok na paek ih Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe hmuenciim thungah akun o boeh, tiah Jerusalem mah hnuk boeh.
11 All her people are sighing—seeking bread, They have given their desirable things For food to refresh the body; See, O YHWH, and behold attentively, For I have been lightly esteemed.
Anih ih kaminawk loe angpho o boih moe, takaw to pakrong o; a hing o thai hanah a tawnh o ih hmuennawk to buh hoiah alaih o; Aw Angraeng, khenah, kai loe hnaphnae ih kami ah ka oh boeh.
12 [Is it] nothing to you, all you passing by the way? Look attentively, and see, If there is any pain like my pain, That He is rolling to me? Whom YHWH has afflicted In the day of the fierceness of His anger.
Nangcae, a taengah caeh kaminawk, nangcae hanah loe tiah doeh om ai maw? Khen oh loe, poek oh, Angraeng palungphuihaih niah, ka nuiah phaksak ih patangkhanghaih baktiah patangkhang kami oh maw?
13 From above He has sent fire into my bone, And it subdues it, He has spread a net for my feet, He has turned me backward, He has made me desolate—all the day sick.
Ranui bang hoiah ka huh thungah hmai to ang patoeh moe, ka huhnawk to ang hmawnsak boeh; ka khok aman hanah thang ang patung pae moe, hnukbang ah amlaemsak ving boeh; kai palung ang boengsak moe, athun qui tha ang zoksak sut boeh.
14 Bound has been the yoke of my transgressions by His hand, They are wrapped together, They have gone up on my neck, He has caused my power to stumble, The Lord has given me into hands, I am not able to rise.
15 The Lord has trodden down all my mighty ones in my midst, He proclaimed an appointed time against me, To destroy my young men, The Lord has trodden a winepress, To the virgin daughter of Judah.
Angraeng mah kaimah ih thacak kaminawk to kaimah salakah, khok hoiah cawh moe, kai ih thendoengnawk to tuk hanah, paroeai kaminawk to kawk; misurthaih pasawh baktiah Angraeng mah tangla cuem Judah canu to khok hoiah cawh.
16 For these I am weeping, My eye, my eye, is running down with waters, For a comforter has been far from me, Refreshing my soul, My sons have been desolate, For mighty has been an enemy.
To pongah ka qah; ka mik hoiah mikkhraetui to long boeh; ka hing thai hanah pathloepkung ka taeng ah mi doeh om ai; misa mah ang pazawk boeh pongah, ka caanawk loe anghmat o boih boeh.
17 Zion has spread forth her hands, There is no comforter for her, YHWH has charged concerning Jacob, His neighbors [are] his adversaries, Jerusalem has become impure among them.
Zion mah a ban to payangh, toe pathloepkung mi doeh om ai; a taengah kaom kaminawk misa ah angcoengsak hanah, Angraeng mah Jakob nuiah lok takroek boeh; Jerusalem loe to kaminawk salakah ciimcai ai nongpata baktiah oh boeh.
18 YHWH is righteous, For I have provoked His mouth. Now hear, all you peoples, and see my pain, My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.
Angraeng loe toeng, a paek ih lok to ka aek; kaminawk boih tahngai oh, ka patanghaih hae khen oh; ka thendoengnawk hoi tanglanawk loe misong ah laemh o boih boeh.
19 I called for my lovers, they have deceived me, My priests and my elderly have expired in the city; When they have sought food for themselves, Then they give back their soul.
Kaimah ih tlangainawk to ka kawk, toe nihcae mah ang ling o; kai ih qaimanawk hoi kacoehtanawk loe a hing o thai hanah buh pakrong o nakung ah, vangpui thungah hinghaih boeng o boih boeh.
20 See, O YHWH, for distress [is] to me, My bowels have been troubled, My heart has been turned in my midst, For I have greatly provoked, From outside the sword has bereaved, In the house [it is] as death.
Aw Angraeng, khenah, palung ka boeng boeh; ka hinghaih patangkhang sut boeh; palung doeh patangkhang sut boeh; na lok to ka aek moeng boeh; tasa bang ah sumsen hoiah nganbawh kana ka hak, athung bang ah loe kadueh baktiah ka oh.
21 They have heard that I have sighed, There is no comforter for me, All my enemies have heard of my calamity, They have rejoiced that You have done [it], You have brought in the day You have called, And they are like to me.
Kang phohaih to kaminawk mah thaih o; kai pathloepkung mi doeh om ai; patang ka khanghaih loe ka misanawk boih mah thaih o; na sak ih hmuen nuiah anghoe o; na khaeh ih ani na phaksak naah loe, nihcae doeh kai baktiah om o tih.
22 All their evil comes in before You, And one is doing to them as You have done to me, For all my transgressions, For many [are] my sighs, and my heart [is] sick!
Nihcae sethaih boih loe na hma ah amtueng nasoe; ka sakpazaehaihnawk boih pongah ka nuiah na sak ih baktih toengah, nihcae nuiah doeh sah toeng ah; kang phohaih paroeai pop boeh pongah, poekhaih palungthin doeh ka zai sut boeh.
