Judges 8
1 And the men of Ephraim say to him, “What [is] this thing you have done to us—not to call for us when you went to fight with Midian?” And they strive with him severely;
১ইফ্ৰয়িম ফৈদৰ লোকসকলে গিদিয়োনক সুধিলে, “আপুনি আমাৰ লগত কিয় এনে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিলে? মিদিয়নীয়াৰ সৈতে যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ যোৱাৰ সময়ত আপুনি আমাক নামাতিলে।” এইদৰে তেওঁলোকে গিদিয়োনৰ সৈতে বিবাদ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
2 and he says to them, “What have I now done like you? Are the gleanings of Ephraim not better than the harvest of Abi-Ezer?
২তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “এতিয়া আপোনালোকৰ তুলনাত মইনো এনে কি কাম কৰিলোঁ? অবীয়াচৰ বংশধৰৰ মাজত তোলা সমস্ত আঙুৰৰ খেতিৰ শস্যতকৈ জানো ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ ভূমিত তোলা আঙুৰবোৰ উত্তম নহয়?
3 God has given the heads of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, into your hand; and what have I been able to do like you?” Then their temper desisted from off him in his speaking this thing.
৩ঈশ্বৰে আপোনালোকৰ হাতত মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ নেতা ওৰেব আৰু জেবক সমৰ্পণ কৰিলে। আপোনালোকৰ তুলনাত মইনো বিশেষ কি কৰিব পাতিলোঁ?” গিদিয়োনৰ এনে কথা শুনাৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ প্রতি থকা তেওঁলোকৰ খং নাইকিয়া হ’ল।
4 And Gideon comes to the Jordan, passing over, he and the three hundred men who [are] with him—wearied, yet pursuing—
৪গিদিয়োন আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত থকা তিনি শ লোকে মিদিয়নীয়া শত্ৰুবোৰক খেদি খেদি গৈ যৰ্দ্দন নদীৰ ওচৰলৈকে আহি নদীখন পাৰ হ’ল। তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক অতি ক্লান্ত হৈ পৰিছিল।
5 and he says to the men of Succoth, “Please give cakes of bread to the people who [are] at my feet, for they [are] wearied, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.”
৫সেয়ে গিদিয়োনে চুক্কোতৰ অধিবাসীসকলক ক’লে, “দয়া কৰি মোৰ পাছে পাছে অহা সৈন্যবোৰক কিছু পিঠা খাবলৈ দিয়ক; কিয়নো তেওঁলোক অতিশয় পৰিশ্রান্ত হৈ পৰিছে। মই মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ ৰজা জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাৰ পাছে পাছে খেদি আহিছোঁ।”
6 And the heads of Succoth say, “Is the hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we give bread to your host?”
৬তেতিয়া চুক্কোতৰ নেতাসকলে ক’লে, “আমি বুজা নাই কিয় আমি আপোনাৰ সৈন্যবোৰক পিঠা খাবলৈ দিব লাগে? জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্না জানো এতিয়া তোমাৰ হাতত আহিল?”
7 And Gideon says, “Therefore—in YHWH’s giving Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand—I have threshed your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness, and with the threshing instruments.”
৭তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে ক’লে, “যেতিয়া যিহোৱাই জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাক মোৰ হাতত তুলি দিব, তেতিয়া মই মৰুভূমিৰ কাঁইট আৰু কাঁইটীয়া গছৰ আঘাতেৰে আপোনালোকৰ গাৰ মঙহ ছিৰি পেলাম।”
8 And he goes up there [to] Penuel, and speaks to them thus; and the men of Penuel answer him as the men of Succoth answered.
৮তাৰ পাছত গিদিয়োন তাৰ পৰা পনুৱেললৈ উঠি গ’ল আৰু সেই ঠাইৰ লোকসকলৰ ওচৰতো একেদৰে ক’লে। তাতে চুক্কোতৰ লোকসকলে যেনেকৈ কৈছিল, তেওঁলোকেও একে উত্তৰ দিলে।
9 And he also speaks to the men of Penuel, saying, “In my turning back in peace, I break down this tower.”
৯তেতিয়া তেওঁ পনুৱেলৰ লোকসকলক ক’লে, “কুশলে যেতিয়া পুনৰ উলটি আহিম, মই এই কোঁঠ ভাঙি পেলাম।”
10 And Zebah and Zalmunna [are] in Karkor, and their camps with them, about fifteen thousand, all who are left of all the camp of the sons of the east; and those falling [are] one hundred and twenty thousand men, drawing sword.
১০সেই সময়ত জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্না প্রায় পোন্ধৰ হাজাৰ সৈন্যৰ দল লৈ কৰ্কোৰত আছিল; পূর্বদেশৰ সৈন্যসকলৰ মাজত কেৱল এওঁলোকেই তেতিয়া অৱশিষ্ট আছিল; কিয়নো তেওঁলোকৰ তৰোৱাল ধৰা এক লাখ বিশ হাজাৰ সৈন্য হত হ’ল।
11 And Gideon goes up the way of those who dwell in tents, on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and strikes the camp, and the camp was confident;
১১পাছত গিদিয়োনে নোবহ আৰু যগ্বেহাৰ চহৰৰ পুবফালে তম্বুবাসী লোকসকলৰ নমাদ বাটেদি উঠি গৈ শত্রুপক্ষৰ ছাউনি পালে। সেই সময়ত শত্রুসকল আক্রমণৰ বাবে প্রস্তুত নাছিল আৰু গিদিয়োনে গৈ তেওঁলোকক পৰাস্ত কৰিলে।
12 and Zebab and Zalmunna flee, and he pursues after them, and captures the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and he has caused all the camp to tremble.
১২জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্না পলাই গ’ল; কিন্তু গিদিয়োনে মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ সেই দুজন ৰজা জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাক খেদি খেদি ধৰিলে। তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকৰ সৈন্যদলৰ সকলোৱে গিদিয়োনৰ ভয়ত আতঙ্কিত হ’ল।
13 And Gideon son of Joash turns back from the battle, at the going up of the sun,
১৩তাৰ পাছত যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ গিদিয়োনে হেৰচৰ গিৰিপথেদি যুদ্ধৰ পৰা উলটি আহিছিল।
14 and captures a young man of the men of Succoth, and asks him, and he describes to him the heads of Succoth, and its elderly—seventy-seven men.
১৪গিদিয়োনে চুক্কোত নিবাসীসকলৰ এজন যুৱকক ধৰি আনিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ পৰা পৰামর্শ বিচাৰিলে; যুৱকজনে চুক্কোতৰ সাতসত্তৰজন নেতা আৰু জ্যেষ্ঠলোকৰ নাম ক’লে।
15 And he comes to the men of Succoth and says, “Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom you reproached me, saying, Is the hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand that we give bread to your men who [are] wearied?”
১৫গিদিয়োনে চুক্কোতবাসীসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি ক’লে, “এইয়া চোৱা, জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্না! এওঁলোকৰ বাবেই আপোনালোকে মোক ঠাট্টা কৰি কৈছিলে, ‘আমি বুজা নাই, কিয় আমি আপোনাৰ সৈন্যবোৰক পিঠা খাবলৈ দিব লাগে। আপুনি জানো জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাক জয় কৰিলে’?”
16 And he takes the elderly of the city, and [the] thorns of the wilderness, and the threshing instruments, and teaches the men of Succoth by them,
১৬এইবুলি কৈ তেওঁ চুক্কোতৰ জ্যেষ্ঠসকলক ধৰি আনি মৰুভূমিৰ কাঁইট আৰু কাঁইটীয়া গছেৰে আঘাত কৰি শাস্তি দিলে।
17 and he has broken down the Tower of Penuel, and slays the men of the city.
১৭তেওঁ পনুৱেলৰ কোঁঠটোও ভাঙি পেলালে আৰু সেই নগৰৰ লোকসকলক বধ কৰিলে।
18 And he says to Zebah and to Zalmunna, “What manner of men [were they] whom you slew in Tabor?” And they say, “As you—so they, [each] one as the form of the king’s sons.”
১৮তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাক সুধিলে, “তাবোৰত আপোনালোকে কেনে লোকসকলক বধ কৰিছিলে?” তেওঁলোকে উত্তৰ দিলে, “আপুনি যেনেকুৱা, তেওঁলোকো তেনেকুৱা আছিল; তেওঁলোক প্ৰতিজন দেখাত ৰাজপুত্র সদৃশ আছিল।”
19 And he says, “They [were] my brothers—sons of my mother; YHWH lives, if you had kept them alive—I would not kill you.”
১৯গিদিয়োনে ক’লে, “সেইসকল মোৰ ভাই আছিল; মোৰ আইৰ সন্তান; জীৱন্ত ঈশ্বৰৰ শপত, আপোনালোকে যদি তেওঁলোকক জীয়াই ৰাখিলোঁহেঁতেন, তেন্তে মই আপোনালোকক বধ নকৰিলোঁহেঁতেন।”
20 And he says to his firstborn Jether, “Rise, slay them”; and the young man has not drawn his sword, for he has been afraid, for he [is] yet a youth.
২০তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ নিজৰ বৰ পুতেক যেথৰক ক’লে, “উঠি, ইহঁতক বধ কৰ!” কিন্তু সেই কুমলীয়া ল’ৰাজনে নিজৰ তৰোৱাল নুলিয়ালে; সি তেতিয়া অল্পবয়সীয়া ল’ৰা আছিল বাবে ভয় কৰিলে।
21 And Zebah and Zalmunna say, “Rise and fall on us; for as the man—his might”; and Gideon rises, and slays Zebah and Zalmunna, and takes the crescents which [are] on the necks of their camels.
২১তেতিয়া জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “আপুনিয়েই উঠি আমাক বধ কৰক! কিয়নো যি যেনে মানুহ, তাৰ শক্তিও তেনে।” তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে উঠি জেবহ আৰু চলমুন্নাক বধ কৰিলে, আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ উটৰ ডিঙিৰ পৰা চন্দ্ৰহাৰবোৰ খুলি ল’লে।
22 And the men of Israel say to Gideon, “Rule over us, both you, and your son, and your son’s son, for you have saved us from the hand of Midian.”
২২পাছত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলে গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “আপুনি মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ হাতৰ পৰা আমাক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিলে; এতিয়া আপুনি, আপোনাৰ পুত্র, নাতি সকলোৱে আমাৰ ওপৰত শাসন কৰক।”
23 And Gideon says to them, “I do not rule over you, nor does my son rule over you; YHWH rules over you.”
২৩তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মই বা মোৰ পুত্রই আপোনালোকৰ ওপৰত শাসন নকৰিব; যিহোৱাইহে আপোনালোকৰ ওপৰত শাসন কৰিব।”
24 And Gideon says to them, “Let me ask a petition of you, and each give to me the ring of his prey, for they have rings of gold, for they [are] Ishmaelites.”
২৪গিদিয়োনে তেওঁলোকক পুনৰ ক’লে, “কিন্তু আপোনালোকৰ ওচৰত মোৰ এটি অনুৰোধ আছে, আপোনালোকৰ লুটৰ ভাগৰ পৰা প্ৰতিজনে মোক এটাকৈ কাণৰ গহনা দিয়ক।” কিয়নো মিদিয়নীয়াসকল আছিল ইস্মায়েলৰ বংশৰ লোক আৰু তেওঁলোকে কাণত সোনৰ গহনা পিন্ধা প্রচলিত আছিল।
25 And they say, “We certainly give”; and they spread out the garment, and each casts the ring of his prey there;
২৫তেওঁলোকে উত্তৰ দিলে, “আমি আনন্দ মনেৰে আপোনাক সেয়া দিম।” তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে এখন কাপোৰ পাৰি তাৰ মাজত প্ৰতিজনে লুটি অনা নিজ নিজ কাণৰ গহনা পেলালে।
26 and the weight of the rings of gold which he asked for is one thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold, apart from the crescents, and the pendants, and the purple garments, which [are] on the kings of Midian, and apart from the chains which [are] on the necks of their camels,
২৬তাতে তেওঁ অনুৰোধ কৰি পোৱা সেই সোনৰ কাণফুলিবোৰৰ ওজন এক হাজাৰ সাত শ চেকল হ’ল; তাৰ বাহিৰেও চন্দ্ৰহাৰ, ‘লকেট’, মিদিয়নীয়া ৰজাসকলে পিন্ধা বেঙেনা বৰণীয়া বস্ত্ৰ আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ উটবোৰে পিন্ধা ডিঙিৰ হাৰ আছিল।
27 and Gideon makes it into an ephod, and sets it up in his city, in Ophrah, and all Israel go whoring after it there, and it is for a snare to Gideon and to his house.
২৭তাৰ পাছত গিদিয়োনে সেই সোণবোৰ লৈ এখন এফোদ তৈয়াৰ কৰি তেওঁ নিজৰ নগৰ অফ্রাত ৰাখিলে; ইস্রায়েলীয়াসকলে সেই ঠাইত একমাত্র ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰিবর্তে এফোদৰ পূজা কৰি নিজকে ব্যভিচাৰী কৰিলে; এয়ে গিদিয়োন আৰু তেওঁৰ পৰিয়াললৈ এক ফান্দস্বৰূপ হ’ল।
28 And Midian is humbled before the sons of Israel, and have not added to lift up their head; and the land rests [for] forty years in the days of Gideon.
২৮এইদৰেই মিদিয়নীয়াসকল ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলৰ তলতীয়া হৈ থাকিল; তেওঁলোকে পুনৰ মূৰ দাঙিব নোৱাৰিলে। গিদিয়োনৰ কালত দেশ চল্লিশ বছৰলৈকে সুস্থিৰে থাকিল।
29 And Jerubba‘al son of Joash goes and dwells in his own house,
২৯তাৰ পাছত যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ যিৰুব্বালে নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ গৈ তাতে বাস কৰিলে।
30 and there have been seventy sons of Gideon, coming out of his loin, for he had many wives;
৩০গিদিয়োনৰ বহুতো ভার্য্যা আছিল আৰু সেয়ে তেওঁ সত্তৰজন পুত্রৰ পিতৃ আছিল।
31 and his concubine, who [is] in Shechem, has borne to him—even she—a son, and he appoints his name Abimelech.
৩১চিখিমত তেওঁৰ এগৰাকী উপপত্নী আছিল। তেওঁৰ ঔৰসতো গিদিয়োনৰ এটি পুত্ৰ আছিল। গিদিয়োনে তেওঁৰ নাম অবীমেলক দিছিল।
32 And Gideon son of Joash dies, in a good old age, and is buried in the burying-place of his father Joash, in Ophrah of the Abi-Ezrite.
৩২যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ গিদিয়োনৰ অতি বৃদ্ধ বয়সত মৃত্যু হ’ল। অবীয়েজ্ৰীয়াসকলৰ অফ্রাত তেওঁৰ পিতৃ যোৱাচৰ সমাধিস্থলত তেওঁক মৈদাম দিয়া হ’ল।
33 And it comes to pass, when Gideon [is] dead, that the sons of Israel turn back and go whoring after the Ba‘alim, and set Ba‘al-Berith over them for a god;
৩৩গিদিয়োনৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছতেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকল পুনৰায় ঈশ্বৰৰ অবিশ্বাসী হ’ল আৰু তেওঁলোকে বাল-দেৱতাবোৰক পূজা-অর্চনা কৰি নিজক ব্যভিচাৰী কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে বাল-বৰীৎক নিজৰ দেৱতা বুলি মানিলে।
34 and the sons of Israel have not remembered their God YHWH, who is delivering them out of the hand of all their surrounding enemies,
৩৪তেওঁলোকৰ চাৰিওফালে থকা সকলো শত্ৰুবোৰৰ হাতৰ পৰা যি জনা ঈশ্বৰে তেওঁলোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিছিল, ইস্রায়েলে তেওঁলোকৰ সেই ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক সন্মান দিবলৈ পাহৰি গ’ল।
35 neither have they done kindness with the house of Jerubba‘al—Gideon—according to all the good which he did with Israel.
৩৫যিৰুব্বালে ইস্রায়েলত যি সকলো উপকাৰ সাধি গ’ল, তাৰ বিপৰীতে লোক সকলে তেওঁৰ বংশৰ প্রতি কৰা প্রতিজ্ঞাত বিশ্বস্ত হৈ নাথাকিল।
