< Judges 5 >
1 And Deborah sings—also Barak son of Abinoam—on that day, saying,

2 “For freeing leaders in Israel, For a people willingly offering themselves, Bless YHWH.
“Mikafu Yehowa! Israel ƒe kplɔlawo dze ŋgɔ dzideƒotɔe. Ameawo kplɔ wo ɖo dzidzɔtɔe! Ɛ̃, mikafu Yehowa!
3 Hear, you kings; give ear, you princes, I sing to YHWH, I sing praise to YHWH, God of Israel.
“Miɖo to, mi fiawo kple fiaviwo, mele ha dzi ge tso Yehowa ŋu, tso Israel ƒe Mawu la ŋu.
4 YHWH, in Your going forth out of Seir, In Your stepping out of the field of Edom, The earth trembled and the heavens dropped, And thick clouds dropped water.
Esi nèkplɔ mí do goe tso Seir Heto Edom ƒe anyigba dzi la, anyigba dzo nyanyanya, dziƒo nu ʋu eye tsi dza.
5 Hills flowed from the face of YHWH, This one—Sinai—From the face of YHWH, God of Israel.
Ɛ̃, towo ʋuʋu, Sinai to la gɔ̃ hã ʋuʋu kpekpekpe le Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la ŋkume!
6 In the days of Shamgar son of Anath—In the days of Jael—The ways have ceased, And those going in the paths go [in] crooked ways.
“Le Samgar, Anat ƒe vi kple Yael ƒe ɣeyiɣiawo me, asitsalawo mezɔa mɔ ma dzi o. Mɔzɔlawo wɔa axadzimɔ xaxɛ gɔdɔ̃ewo ŋu dɔ.
7 Villages ceased in Israel—they ceased, Until I arose—Deborah, That I arose, a mother in Israel.
Israelviwo ƒe duwo zu aƒedo. Va se ɖe esime nye Debora mezu Israel dada.
8 He chooses new gods, Then war [is] at the gates! A shield is not seen—and a spear Among forty thousand in Israel.
Esime Israel dze mawu bubuwo yome la, futɔwo ho aʋa ɖe wo ŋu. Míaƒe kplɔlawo mena akpoxɔnu alo akplɔ mí o womekpɔ aʋawɔnu aɖeke kura le Israelvi akpe blaene dome o!
9 My heart [is] to the lawgivers of Israel, Who are offering themselves willingly among the people, Bless YHWH!
Metso aseye ŋutɔ ɖe Israel ƒe kplɔlawo ta, ame siwo tsɔ wo ɖokui na faa! Mikafu Yehowa!
10 Riders on white donkeys—Sitters on a long robe—And walkers by the way—meditate!
“Israelviwo katã, hotsuitɔwo kple ahetɔwo siaa, hotsuitɔ siwo doa tedzi ɣiwo ɖoa afɔ afɔɖodzinu xɔasiwo dzi kple ame dahe, afɔzɔlawo siaa, mikpe ta, miakafui.
11 By the voice of shouters Between the places of drawing water, There they give out righteous acts of YHWH, Righteous acts of His villages in Israel, Then the people of YHWH have gone down to the gates.
Hadzila siwo le kɔƒewo me, ƒoa ƒu ɖe kɔƒea ƒe vudo gbɔ dzia ha tso Yehowa ƒe dziɖuɖu ŋuti. Wodzia ha enuenu tso ale si Yehowa ɖe Israel kple aʋawɔla siwo nye agbledelawo ŋu! Yehowa ƒe amewo zɔ to agbo la me!
12 Awake, awake, Deborah; Awake, awake, utter a song; Rise, Barak, and take your captivity captive, Son of Abinoam.
Oo, Debora, nyɔ eye nàdzi ha! Oo, Barak, tsi tsitre! Oo, Abinoam ƒe vi, kplɔ wò aʋaléleawo dzoe!
13 Then him who is left of the majestic ones He caused to rule the people of YHWH, He caused me to rule among the mighty.
“Tete nuteƒewɔlawo va woƒe kplɔlawo gbɔ; Yehowa ƒe amewo va hena aʋawɔwɔ.
14 From Ephraim [are] those whose root [is] in Amalek, After you, Benjamin, among your peoples, From Machir lawgivers came down, And from Zebulun those drawing with the reed of a writer.

15 And princes in Issachar [are] with Deborah, Indeed, Issachar [is] right with Barak, Into the valley he was sent on his feet. In the divisions of Reuben, The decrees of heart [are] great!
Isaka ƒe fiaviwo, Debora kple Barak, ɖiɖi ɖe balime la le Mawu ƒe ɖoɖo nu. Ke Ruben ƒe viwo ya meyi o.
16 Why have you abided between the boundaries, To hear lowings of herds? For the divisions of Reuben, The searchings of heart [are] great!
Nu ka ta mietsi aƒe le miaƒe alẽkplɔlawo gbɔ be miaɖo to alẽkplɔlawo woanɔ woƒe dzewo kum? Mama ɖo Ruben ƒe viwo dome: ɖe woayia? Ɖe woagbe yiyia?
17 Gilead dwelt beyond the Jordan, And why does Dan sojourn [in] ships? Asher has abided at the haven of the seas, And dwells by his creeks.
Nu ka ta Gilead ƒe viwo tsi Yɔdan godo Dan ƒe viwo tsi woƒe tɔdziʋuwo gbɔ? Nu ka ta Aser ƒe viwo drã ɖe ƒuta dzidzemetɔe le woƒe ʋudzeƒewo?
18 Zebulun [is] a people who exposed its soul to death, Naphtali also—on high places of the field.
Ke Zebulon ƒe viwo kple Naftali ƒe viwo tsɔ wo ɖokui ke le aʋagbedzi.
19 Kings came—they fought; Then kings of Canaan fought, In Taanach, by the waters of Megiddo; They did not take gain of money!
Kanaan fiawo wɔ aʋa le Taanak kple Megido vudowo gbɔ, ke womeɖu futɔwo dzi o.
20 They fought from the heavens: The stars fought with Sisera from their highways.
Dziƒo ŋutɔ ƒe ɣletiviwo wɔ aʋa kple Sisera.
21 The Brook of Kishon swept them away, The most ancient brook—the Brook of Kishon. You tread down strength, O my soul!
Kison tɔsisi la ƒe tsi sisiwo kplɔ wo dzoe. Nye luʋɔ, yi ŋgɔ kple ŋusẽ!
22 Then the horse-heels were broken, By gallopings—gallopings of its mighty ones.
Se futɔwo ƒe sɔwo ƒe afɔzi ɖa! Kpɔ woƒe sɔwo ƒe duƒuƒu ɖa!
23 Curse Meroz, said a messenger of YHWH, Cursing, curse its inhabitants! For they did not come to the help of YHWH, To the help of YHWH among the mighty!
Gblɔ be, ‘Miƒo fi de wo elabena womeva kpe ɖe Yehowa ŋu wɔ aʋa kple futɔwo o.’
24 Above women is Jael, The wife of Heber the Kenite, She is blessed above women in the tent.
“Woayra Yael, Heber, Kenitɔ la srɔ̃ woyrae wu nyɔnu siwo nɔa agbadɔ te.
25 He asked for water—she gave milk; She brought butter near in a lordly dish.
Sisera bia tsii eye wòna nyinotsii eye wòtsɔ nyinotsi babla ɖe gagbɛ si dze bubumewo la me vɛ nɛ.
26 She sends forth her hand to the pin, And her right hand to the laborers’ hammer, And she hammered Sisera—she struck his head, Indeed, she struck, and it passed through his temple.
Edo eƒe asi ɖa tsɔ tsyoti eye wòtsɔ eƒe nuɖusi tsɔ dɔwɔlawo ƒe zu, edae ɖe Sisera dzi hegbã ta nɛ, eŋɔ eye wògbã eƒe glãƒu
27 He bowed between her feet—He fell, he lay down; He bowed between her feet, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell—destroyed.
Sisera dze anyi ɖe Yael ƒe afɔ nu etsi afi si wòdze anyi ɖo. Emu, dze to ɖe eƒe afɔ nu, afi si wòmu ɖo la, afi mae wòdze anyi ɖo eye afi mae wòku ɖo.
28 She has looked out through the window—Indeed, she cries out—the mother of Sisera, Through the lattice: Why is his chariot delaying to come? Why have the steps of his chariot tarried?
“Sisera dada nɔ fesre nu kpɔm tso fesrenuvɔ la megbe edo ɣli be, ‘Nu ka ta eƒe tasiaɖam meva ɖo kpɔ o? Nu ka ta míese tasiaɖam la ƒe afɔzi o?’
29 The wise ones, her princesses, answer her, Indeed, she returns her sayings to herself:
Eƒe nyɔnu ɖeka si dze nunya wu wo katã la, ɖo eŋu nɛ, vavã, enɔ gbɔgblɔm na eɖokui ɣe sia ɣi be,
30 Do they not find? They apportion spoil, A female—two females—for every head, Spoil of finger-work for Sisera, Spoil of embroidered finger-work, Finger-work—a pair of embroidered things, For the necks of the spoil!
‘Ɖe menye afunyinu geɖe lɔm wole hele mamam nyɔnuvi ɖeka alo eve na ŋutsu ɖe sia ɖe, atsyɔ̃ɖowuwo na Sisera abe nuhaha ene, atsyɔ̃ɖowu siwo to wolɔ̃ nu ɖo, wolɔ̃ nu ɖe wo to nyuie be woadze kɔme nam eye esiawo katã nanye nuhaha oa?’
31 So do all Your enemies perish, O YHWH, And those loving Him [are] As the going out of the sun in its might!” And the land rests [for] forty years.
“Oo, Yehowa, na wò futɔwo katã natsrɔ̃ nenema ke ame siwo lɔ̃a Yehowa ya la, na be woanɔ abe ɣe ene ne edze le eƒe ŋusẽ me!” Tete anyigba la kpɔ ŋutifafa ƒe blaene.
