Judges 2
1 And the Messenger of YHWH goes up from Gilgal to Bochim,
परमप्रभुका दूत गिलगालबाट माथि बोकीममा गए, र भने, “मैले तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट ल्याएँ, र तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी मैले प्रतिज्ञा गरेको देशमा ल्याएँ । मैले भनें, ‘तिमीहरूसँगको मेरो करारलाई म कहिल्यै तोड्नेछैनँ ।
2 and says, “I cause you to come up out of Egypt, and bring you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers, and say, I do not break My covenant with you for all time; and you make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land—you break down their altars; and you have not listened to My voice—what [is] this you have done?
यस देशमा बस्नेहरूसँग तिमीहरूले कुनै करार गर्नुहुँदैन । तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूका वेदीहरू भत्कानुपर्छ ।’ तर तिमीहरूले मेरो आज्ञा पालन गरेका छैनौ । तिमीहरूले यो के गरेका छौ?
3 And I have also said, I do not cast them out from your presence, and they have been for adversaries to you, and their gods are for a snare to you.”
यसैले म अब भन्छु, ‘तिमीहरूको अगिबाट म कनानीहरूलाई बाहिर निकाल्नेछैनँ, तर तिनीहरू तिमीहरूका वरिपरिका काँढाहरू हुनेछन्, र तिनीहरूका देवताहरू तिमीहरूका निम्ति पासो बन्नेछन् ।’”
4 And it comes to pass, when the Messenger of YHWH speaks these words to all the sons of Israel, that the people lift up their voice and weep,
जब परमप्रभुका दूतले यी वचन इस्राएलका सबै मानिसलाई भने, तब मानिसहरू चिच्चाए र रोए ।
5 and they call the name of that place Bochim, and sacrifice to YHWH there.
तिनीहरूले त्यस ठाउँलाई बोकीम नाउँ दिए । त्यहाँ तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको निम्ति बलिदान चढाए ।
6 And Joshua sends the people away, and the sons of Israel go, each to his inheritance, to possess the land;
अब यहोशूले मानिसहरूलाई आ-आफ्नो बाटोमा पठाएका थिए, इस्राएलका मानिसहरू आ-आफ्नो जमिनमाथि अधिकार गर्न ती ठाउँहरूमा गए ।
7 and the people serve YHWH all [the] days of Joshua, and all [the] days of [the] elderly who prolonged days after Joshua, who saw all the great work of YHWH which He did to Israel.
यहोशू र तिनीपछि पनि बाँचेका धर्म-गुरुहरू जसले परमप्रभुले इस्राएलको निम्ति गर्नुभएका सबै महान् कामलाई देखेका थिए, तिनीहरूले आफ्नो जीवनकालभरि नै परमप्रभुको सेवा गरे ।
8 And Joshua son of Nun, servant of YHWH, dies, a son of one hundred and ten years,
परमप्रभुका सेवक नूनका छोरा यहोशूको ११० वर्षको उमेरमा मृत्यु भयो ।
9 and they bury him in the border of his inheritance, in Timnath-Heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of Mount Gaash;
तिनीहरूले उनलाई गाश पर्वतको उत्तरपट्टि, एफ्राइमको पहाडी देश, तिम्नथ-हेरेसमा उनको अधिकारमा दिइएको जमिनको सिमानाभित्र गाडे ।
10 and all that generation have also been gathered to their fathers, and another generation rises after them who have not known YHWH, and even the work which He has done to Israel.
त्यस पुस्ताका सबै जना आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूसँगै मिले । तिनीहरू पछि परमप्रभु र उहाँले इस्राएलको निम्ति गर्नुभएका कामको बारेमा जानकारी नभएका अर्को पुस्ता खडा भयो ।
11 And the sons of Israel do evil in the eyes of YHWH, and serve the Ba‘alim,
इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे कुरा दुष्ट थियो त्यही गरे र तिनीहरूले बाल देवताको सेवा गरे ।
12 and forsake YHWH, God of their fathers, who brings them out from the land of Egypt, and go after other gods (of the gods of the peoples who [are] around them), and bow themselves to them, and provoke YHWH,
तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर निकालेर ल्याउनुहुने तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरसँग तिनीहरूले सम्बन्ध तोडे । तिनीहरूले अन्य देवताहरू, तिनीहरूका वरिपरि भएका मानिसहरूका देवताहरूलाई पछ्याए, र तिनीहरूलाई उनीहरूलाई ढोगे । तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई क्रोधित बनाए किनभने,
13 indeed, they forsake YHWH, and do service to Ba‘al and to Ashtaroth.
तिनीहरू परमप्रभुबाट टाढा भए, र बाल तथा अश्तोरेत देवताको पुजा गरे ।
14 And the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He gives them into the hand of spoilers, and they spoil them, and He sells them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, and they have not been able to stand before their enemies anymore;
परमप्रभुको क्रोध इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा दन्कियो, र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका धन-सम्पत्ति लुट्ने लुटेराहरूकहाँ सुम्पनुभयो । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई दासहरूझैं बेचिदिनुभयो र तिनीहरू वरिपरिबाट शत्रुहरूले घेरिए, यसरी तिनीहरूले आफ्ना शत्रुहरूबाट आफैलाई बचाउन सकेनन् ।
15 in every [place] where they have gone out, the hand of YHWH has been against them for calamity, as YHWH has spoken, and as YHWH has sworn to them, and they are greatly distressed.
जहाँ-जहाँ इस्राएल युद्धको निम्ति गए, परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ तिनीहरूलाई परास्त गर्नको निम्ति उहाँको हात तिनीहरूको विरुद्ध थियो, र तिनीहरू अत्यन्तै सकसमा परे ।
16 And YHWH raises up judges, and they save them from the hand of their spoilers;
त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले न्यायकर्ताहरू खडा गर्नुभयो, जसले तिनीहरूका धन-सम्पत्ति लुट्नेहरूका हातबाट तिनीहरूलाई बचाए ।
17 and they have also not listened to their judges, but have gone whoring after other gods, and bow themselves to them; they have turned aside [with] haste out of the way [in] which their fathers walked to obey the commands of YHWH—they have not done so.
तापनि तिनीहरूले आफ्ना न्यायकर्ताहरूका कुरा सुनेनन् । तिनीहरू परमप्रभुप्रति विश्वासहीन भए र आफूलाई वेश्याहरूझैं अन्य देवताहरूकहाँ सुम्पे र तिनीहरूको पुजा गरे । परमप्रभुका आज्ञाहरू पालन गर्ने तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले जिएका मार्गबाट तिनीहरू चाँडै नै तर्केर गए र आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूले झैं तिनीहरूले गरेनन् ।
18 And when YHWH raised up judges for them—then YHWH was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all [the] days of the judge; for YHWH sighs, because of their groaning from the presence of their oppressors, and of those thrusting them away.
जब परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूका निम्ति न्यायकर्ताहरू खडा गर्नुभयो, ती न्यायकर्ताहरू बाँचुन्जेल परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई सहायता गर्नुभयो र तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरूका हातबाट तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनुभयो । तिनीहरूलाई अत्याचार गर्ने र कष्ट दिनेहरूका कारणले तिनीहरूले चित्कार गर्दा परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूमाथि दया देखाउनुभयो ।
19 And it has come to pass, when the judge dies—they turn back and have done corruptly above their fathers, to go after other gods, to serve them, and to bow themselves to them; they have not fallen from their doings, and from their stiff way.
तर न्यायकर्ता मरेपछि, तिनीहरू खराब बाटोतर्फ लाग्थे र तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले गरेकाभन्दा पनि भ्रष्ट कामहरू गर्थे । तिनीहरू अन्य देवताहरूको सेवा गर्न र तिनीहरूको पुजा गर्न तिनीहरूको पछि लाग्थे । तिनीहरूले आफ्ना कुनै पनि दुष्ट काम वा तिनीहरूका हठी चालहरूलाई त्याग्न इन्कार गरे ।
20 And the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He says, “Because that this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not listened to My voice—
परमप्रभुको क्रोध इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा दन्कियो । उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यस जातिले मैले तिनीहरूका पुर्खालाई दिएको मेरा करारका शर्तहरूलाई तोडेका हुनाले र तिनीहरूले मेरा आज्ञा पालन नगरेका हुनाले,
21 I also do not continue to dispossess any from before them of the nations which Joshua has left when he dies,
यहोशू मृत्यु हुँदा, त्यसले बाँकी छोडेका सबै जातिलाई म अबदेखि उसो तिनीहरूका सामुबाट धपाउनेछैनँ ।
22 in order to try Israel by them, whether they are keeping the way of YHWH, to go in it, as their fathers kept [it], or not.”
इस्राएलका मानिसहरू आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूले झै परमप्रभुको मार्गलाई पछ्याएर ती मार्गमा हिंड्नेछन् या छैनन् भनेर जाँच्नको निम्ति म यसो गर्नेछु ।”
23 And YHWH leaves these nations, so as not to dispossess them quickly, and did not give them into the hand of Joshua.
यसकारण परमप्रभुले ती जातिहरूलाई छोडिदिनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई तुरुन्तै धपाउनुभएन र यहोशूको हातमा सुम्पनुभएन ।
