Judges 16
1 And Samson goes to Gaza, and sees a woman there, a harlot, and goes in to her;
१शमशोन पलिष्टी प्रदेशाच्या गज्जा शहरास गेला, तेथे त्याने एक वेश्या पाहिली आणि तो तिच्याजवळ गेला.
2 [it is told] to the Gazathites, saying, “Samson has come in here”; and they go around and lay wait for him all the night at the gate of the city, and keep themselves silent all the night, saying, “Until the morning light—then we have slain him.”
२गज्जेकरास सांगण्यात आले की, “शमशोन तिथे आला आहे.” गज्जकरांना ती जागा घेरून टाकली आणि नगराच्या वेशीच्या दाराजवळ त्याच्यासाठी गुप्तपणे दबा धरून ते सारी रात्र वाट पाहत राहिले. त्यांनी रात्रभर काही हालचाल केली नाही. ते म्हणाले, सकाळ उजडेपर्यंत आपण वाट पाहू या आणि मग आपण त्यास जिवे मारू.
3 And Samson lies down until the middle of the night, and rises in the middle of the night, and lays hold on the doors of the gate of the city, and on the two side-posts, and removes them with the bar, and puts [them] on his shoulders, and takes them up to the top of the hill, which [is] on the front of Hebron.
३शमशोन मध्यरात्रीपर्यंत बिछान्यात पडून राहिला. मग मध्यरात्री त्याने उठून आणि नगराच्या वेशीचे दरवाजे, त्याचे अडसर आणि सर्व, दोन्ही दारबाह्यांसह धरले आणि जमिनीतून उखडून ओढून काढले, आणि ते आपल्या खांद्यावर घेऊन हेब्रोनाच्यासमोर डोंगराच्या शिखरापर्यंत वर नेले.
4 And it comes to pass afterward that he loves a woman in the Valley of Sorek, and her name [is] Delilah,

5 and the princes of the Philistines come up to her, and say to her, “Entice him, and see wherein his great power [is], and wherein we are able for him—and we have bound him to afflict him, and each one of us gives eleven hundred pieces of silver to you.”

6 And Delilah says to Samson, “Please declare to me wherein your great power [is], and with what you are bound, to afflict you.”

7 And Samson says to her, “If they bind me with seven green cords which have not been dried, then I have been weak, and have been as one of mankind.”
७तेव्हा शमशोनाने तिला सांगितले, “धनुष्याच्या न सुकलेल्या अशा सात हिरव्या वाद्यांनी, जर त्यांनी मला बांधले, तर मी अशक्त होऊन सामान्य मनुष्यासारखा होईन.”
8 And the princes of the Philistines bring up to her seven green cords which have not been dried, and she binds him with them.
८नंतर पलिष्ट्यांचे अधिकारी सात सालपटे जी सुकली नव्हती, अशी ते घेऊन दलीलाकडे आले, आणि तिने त्यास त्यांनी बांधले.
9 And the ambush is abiding with her in an inner chamber, and she says to him, “Philistines [are] on you, Samson!” And he breaks the cords as a thread of tow is broken in its touching fire, and his power has not been known.
९तेव्हा तिच्या आतल्या खोलीत गुप्तपणे माणसे दबा धरून बसली होती, आणि तिने त्यास म्हटले, “शमशोना, पलिष्टी तुजवर चालून आले आहेत!” परंतु त्याने जसा तागाचा दोरा अग्नी लागताच तुटून जातो तशा धनुष्याच्या त्या सात हिरव्या वाद्या तोडून टाकल्या. आणि त्याच्या बळाचे रहस्य त्यांना समजू शकले नाही.
10 And Delilah says to Samson, “Behold, you have played on me, and speak lies to me; now, please declare to me with what you are bound.”
१०दलीला, शमशोनाला म्हणाली, “पाहा, तुम्ही मला फसवले आणि माझ्याशी लबाडी केली. तुमच्यावर कशाने मात करता येईल ते, मी विनंती करते, मला सांग.”
11 And he says to her, “If they certainly bind me with thick bands, new ones, by which work has not been done, then I have been weak, and have been as one of mankind.”
११तेव्हा त्याने तिला सांगितले, “जे कधी कामात वापरले नाहीत अशा नव्या दोरांनी जर त्यांनी मला बांधले, तर मी अशक्त होऊन सामान्य मनुष्यासारखा होईन.”
12 And Delilah takes thick bands, new ones, and binds him with them, and says to him, “Philistines [are] on you, Samson!” And the ambush is abiding in an inner chamber, and he breaks them from off his arms as a thread.
१२तेव्हा दलीलाने नवे दोर घेऊन त्याने त्यास बांधले, आणि त्यास म्हटले, “शमशोना, पलिष्टी तुझ्यावर चालून आले आहेत.” तेव्हा ते आतल्या खोलीत वाट पाहत बसले होते. परंतु शमशोनाने त्याच्या दंडाला बांधलेले दोर धाग्याच्या तुकड्यासारखे तोडून टाकले.
13 And Delilah says to Samson, “Until now you have played on me, and speak lies to me; declare to me with what you are bound.” And he says to her, “If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web.”
१३दलीला शमशोनाला म्हणाली, “आतापर्यंत तुम्ही मला फसवत आणि माझ्याशी लबाड्याच करत आला आहात. तुमच्यावर कशाने मात करता येईल, हे मला सांगा.” तेव्हा त्याने तिला सांगितले, जर तू “माझ्या डोक्याच्या केसांच्या सात बटा मागाबरोबर विणशील आणि नंतर विणकाराच्या फणीच्या नखात वळवशील तर मी इतर मनुष्यासारखा होईन.”
14 And she fixes [it] with the pin and says to him, “Philistines [are] on you, Samson!” And he awakens out of his sleep, and pulls out the pin of the loom, and with the web.

15 And she says to him, “How do you say, I have loved you, and your heart is not with me? These three times you have played on me, and have not declared to me wherein your great power [is].”

16 And it comes to pass, because she distressed him with her words all the days, and urges him, and his soul is grieved to death,
१६तिने आपल्या बोलण्याने त्याच्यावर दडपण आणले आणि कटकट करून त्यावर असा दबाव आणला की, त्यास मरून जावेसे वाटू लागले.
17 that he declares all his heart to her, and says to her, “A razor has not gone up on my head, for I [am] a Nazarite to God from the womb of my mother; if I have been shaven, then my power has turned aside from me, and I have been weak, and have been as all of mankind.”
१७म्हणून शमशोनाने तिला सर्वकाही सांगितले, आणि म्हणाला, “माझ्या डोक्यावरचे केस कापण्यासाठी कधीच वस्तरा फिरविला गेला नाही; कारण मी आपल्या आईच्या गर्भात असल्यापासून देवाचा नाजीर आहे; जर माझे मुंडन झाले, तर माझे बळ मजपासून जाईल, आणि मी अशक्त होऊन इतर मनुष्यांसारखा होईन.”
18 And Delilah sees that he has declared all his heart to her, and she sends and calls for the princes of the Philistines, saying, “Come up this time, for he has declared all his heart to me”; and the princes of the Philistines have come up to her, and bring up the money in their hand.
१८जेव्हा दलीलाने पाहिले त्याने आपले सर्वकाही सत्य सांगितले तेव्हा; तिने पलिष्ट्यांच्या अधिकाऱ्यांस बोलावणे पाठवले म्हणाली, “पुन्हा या, कारण त्याने मला सर्वकाही सांगितले आहे.” तेव्हा पलिष्टयांचे अधिकारी आपल्या हाती रुपे घेऊन तिच्याकडे गेले.
19 And she makes him sleep on her knees, and calls for a man, and shaves the seven locks of his head, and begins to afflict him, and his power turns aside from off him;
१९मग तिने त्यास आपल्या मांडीवर गाढ झोपवले. नंतर तिने मनुष्यास बोलावून त्याच्या डोक्याच्या सात बटा कापल्या. तिने त्यास ताब्यात आणण्यास सुरवात केली, आणि त्याचे बळ त्याच्यातून निघून गेले.
20 and she says, “Philistines [are] on you, Samson!” And he awakens out of his sleep and says, “I go out as time by time, and shake free”; but he has not known that YHWH has turned aside from off him.
२०ती म्हणाली, “हे शमशोना, पलिष्टी तुजवर आले आहेत.” तेव्हा तो आपल्या झोपेतून जागा होऊन उठला म्हणाला, मी पहिल्या वेळेप्रमाणे बाहेर जाईन आणि अंग हालवून सुटेल. परंतु परमेश्वराने त्यास सोडले होते, हे त्यास कळले नाही.
21 And the Philistines seize him, and pick out his eyes, and bring him down to Gaza, and bind him with two bronze chains; and he is grinding in the prison-house.
२१पलिष्ट्यांनी तर त्यास धरून त्याचे डोळे फोडून टाकले; नंतर त्यास खाली गज्जात नेऊन पितळेच्या बेड्यांनी जखडले. मग तो बंदिशाळेत धान्य दळीत असे.
22 And the hair of his head begins to shoot up when he has been shaven,
२२तथापि त्याचे मुंडन झाल्यांनतर त्याच्या डोक्याचे केस पुन्हा वाढू लागले.
23 and the princes of the Philistines have been gathered together to sacrifice a great sacrifice to their god Dagon, and to rejoice; and they say, “Our god has given our enemy Samson into our hand.”
२३मग पलिष्ट्यांचे अधिकारी आपला देव दागोन याच्यासाठी मोठा यज्ञ अर्पण करावयास एकत्र जमले; कारण ते म्हणाले, “आमच्या देवाने आमचा शत्रू शमशोन आमच्या हाती दिला आहे.”
24 And the people see him, and praise their god, for they said, “Our god has given into our hand our enemy, and he who is laying waste to our land, and who multiplied our wounded.”
२४तेव्हा लोकांनी त्यास पाहून त्यांच्या देवाची स्तुती केली; त्यांनी असे म्हटले की, “आमच्या देवाने, जो आमचा शत्रू त्याच्यावर, विजय मिळवला आहे आणि देशात आमचा नाश करणारा, ज्याने आमच्यातल्या पुष्कळांना मारले, त्यास आमच्या देवाने आमच्या हाती दिले आहे.”
25 And it comes to pass, when their heart [is] glad, that they say, “Call for Samson, and he entertains for us”; and they call for Samson out of the prison-house, and he entertains their faces, and they cause him to stand between the pillars.
२५आणि ते जेव्हा आनंद साजरा करत होते तेव्हा ते म्हणाले, “तुम्ही शमशोनाला बोलवा, म्हणजे तो आमची करमणूक करील.” तेव्हा त्यांनी शमशोनाला बंदिवानांच्या घरातून बोलावले, आणि तो त्यांच्यापुढे थट्टेचे पात्र झाला, आणि त्यांनी त्यास खांबांच्या मध्ये उभे केले होते.
26 And Samson says to the young man who is keeping hold on his hand, “Let me also feel the pillars on which the house is established, and I lean on them.”
२६शमशोन त्याचा हात धरणाऱ्या मुलाला म्हणाला, “ज्या खांबांचा ह्या इमारतीला आधार आहे, ते मी चाचपावे म्हणून तू मला त्यांजवळ ने, म्हणजे मी त्याच्यावर टेकेन.”
27 And the house has been full of the men and the women, and all the princes of the Philistines [are] there, and about three thousand men and women [are] on the roof, who are watching Samson entertain.
२७ते सभागृह तर पुरुषांनी व स्त्रियांनी भरलेले होते, आणि पलिष्ट्यांचे सर्व अधिकारी तेथे होते; सुमारे तीन हजार स्त्री-पुरूष गच्चीवरून शमशोनाची गंमत पाहत होते.
28 And Samson calls to YHWH and says, “Lord YHWH, please remember me and please strengthen me only this time, O God; and I am avenged—vengeance at once—because of my two eyes, on the Philistines.”
२८तेव्हा शमशोनाने परमेश्वर देवाला हाक मारीत म्हटले, “हे प्रभू देवा, कृपाकरून माझी आठवण कर, आणि हे देवा, या वेळेस एकदाच मात्र कृपा करून मला बळकट कर; म्हणजे मी आपल्या दोन डोळ्यांविषयी पलिष्ट्यांचा एकदम सूड उगवून घेईन.”
29 And Samson turns aside [to] the two middle pillars, on which the house is established, and on which it is supported, [to] one with his right hand and one with his left;
२९नंतर ज्या दोन मधल्या खांबांवर ते सभागृह उभे राहिलेले होते, आणि ज्यांचा त्यास आधार होता, त्यांच्यातला एक शमशोनाने आपल्या उजव्या हाताने आणि दुसरा आपल्या डाव्या हाताने धरला.
30 and Samson says, “Let me die with the Philistines,” and he inclines himself powerfully, and the house falls on the princes, and on all the people who [are] in it, and the dead whom he has put to death in his death are more than those whom he put to death in his life.
३०तेव्हा शमशोन म्हणाला, “पलिष्ट्यांच्या बरोबर माझाही जीव जावो!” मग त्याने सर्व बळ एकवटून ते खांब ढकलले, आणि ते सभागृह त्या अधिकाऱ्यांवर व त्यातल्या सर्व लोकांवर पडले. अशा रीतीने तो जिवंत असताना त्याने जितके मारले होते, त्यांपेक्षाही त्याच्या मरणाच्या वेळी त्याने जे मारले ते अधिक होते.
31 And his brothers come down, and all the house of his father, and lift him up, and bring him up, and bury him between Zorah and Eshtaol, in the burying-place of his father Manoah; and he has judged Israel [for] twenty years.
३१नंतर त्याचे भाऊ व त्याच्या पित्याचे घरचे सर्व लोक यांनी खाली जाऊन त्यास उचलून आणले, आणि त्यास नेऊन सरा व अष्टावोल यामध्ये त्याचा पिता मानोहा याच्या कबरेत पुरले; त्याने तर वीस वर्षे इस्राएलाचा न्याय केला होता.
