Judges 15
1 And it comes to pass after [some] days, in the days of wheat-harvest, that Samson looks after his wife, with a kid of the goats, and says, “I go in to my wife, to the inner chamber”; and her father has not permitted him to go in,
௧சிலநாட்கள் சென்றபின்பு, சிம்சோன் கோதுமை அறுக்கிற நாட்களில் ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, தன்னுடைய மனைவியைப் பார்க்கப்போய்: நான் என்னுடைய மனைவியின் அறைக்குள் போகவேண்டும் என்றான்; அவள் தகப்பனோ, அவனை உள்ளேபோகவிடாமல்:
2 and her father says, “I certainly said that you surely hated her, and I give her to your companion; is her younger sister not better than she? Please let her be to you instead of her.”
௨நீ அவளை முழுவதும் பகைத்துவிட்டாய் என்று நான் நினைத்து, அவளை உன்னுடைய நண்பனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்து கொடுத்துவிட்டேன்; அவளுடைய தங்கை அவளைவிட அழகானவள் அல்லவா, அவளுக்குப் பதிலாக இவள் உனக்கு இருக்கட்டும் என்று சொன்னான்.
3 And Samson says of them, “I am more innocent this time than the Philistines, though I am doing evil with them.”
௩அப்பொழுது சிம்சோன்: நான் பெலிஸ்தர்களுக்குப் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்தாலும், என்மேல் குற்றமில்லை என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லி,
4 And Samson goes and catches three hundred foxes, and takes torches, and turns tail to tail, and puts a torch between the two tails, in the midst,
௪புறப்பட்டுப்போய், முந்நூறு நரிகளைப் பிடித்து, பந்தங்களை எடுத்து, வாலோடு வால் சேர்த்து, இரண்டு வால்களுக்கும் நடுவே ஒவ்வொரு பந்தத்தை வைத்துக்கட்டி,
5 and kindles fire in the torches, and sends [them] out into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burns [it] from heap even to standing grain, even to vineyard [and] olive-yard.
௫பந்தங்களைக் கொளுத்தி, பெலிஸ்தர்களின் வெள்ளாண்மையிலே அவைகளை ஓடவிட்டு, கதிர்க்கட்டுகளையும் வெள்ளாண்மையையும் திராட்சை தோட்டங்களையும் ஒலிவ தோப்புக்களையும் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.
6 And the Philistines say, “Who has done this?” And they say, “Samson, son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken away his wife, and gives her to his companion”; and the Philistines go up, and burn her and her father with fire.
௬இப்படிச் செய்தவன் யார் என்று பெலிஸ்தர்கள் கேட்கிறபோது, திம்னாத்தானுடைய மருமகனான சிம்சோன்தான்; அவனுடைய மனைவியை அவனுடைய நண்பனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்துகொடுத்ததினால் அப்படிச் செய்தான் என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தர்கள் போய், அவளையும் அவள் தகப்பனையும் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்தார்கள்.
7 And Samson says to them, “Though you do thus, nevertheless I am avenged on you, and afterward I cease!”
௭அப்பொழுது சிம்சோன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இப்படிச் செய்தபடியால் நான் உங்கள் கையிலே பழிவாங்காமல் ஓயமாட்டேன் என்று சொல்லி,
8 And he strikes them hip and thigh [with] a great striking, and goes down and dwells in the cleft of the rock of Etam.
௮அவர்களைத் தொடையிலும் இடுப்பிலுமாக துண்டுதுண்டாக வெட்டி, பின்பு போய், ஏத்தாம் ஊர்க் கன்மலைக் குகையில் குடியிருந்தான்.
9 And the Philistines go up, and encamp in Judah, and are spread out in Lehi,
௯அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தர்கள் போய், யூதாவிலே முகாமிட்டு, லேகி என்கிற வெளியிலே பரவியிருந்தார்கள்.
10 and the men of Judah say, “Why have you come up against us?” And they say, “We have come up to bind Samson, to do to him as he has done to us.”
௧0நீங்கள் எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக வந்தது என்ன என்று யூதா மனிதர்கள் கேட்டதற்கு, அவர்கள்: சிம்சோன் எங்களுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல, நாங்களும் அவனுக்குச் செய்யும்படி அவனைக் கட்டுகிறதற்காக வந்தோம் என்றார்கள்.
11 And three thousand men of Judah go down to the cleft of the rock of Etam, and say to Samson, “Have you now known that the Philistines are rulers over us? And what [is] this you have done to us?” And he says to them, “As they did to me, so I did to them.”
௧௧அப்பொழுது யூதாவிலே மூவாயிரம்பேர் ஏத்தாம் ஊர்க் கன்மலைக் குகைக்குப் போய்: பெலிஸ்தர்கள் நம்மை ஆளுகிறார்கள் என்று தெரியாதா? பின்னை ஏன் எங்களுக்கு இப்படிச் செய்தாய் என்று சிம்சோனிடத்தில் சொன்னார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: அவர்கள் எனக்குச் செய்தபடியே நானும் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்தேன் என்றான்.
12 And they say to him, “We have come down to bind you—to give you into the hand of the Philistines.” And Samson says to them, “Swear to me, lest you fall on me yourselves.”
௧௨அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: உன்னைக் கட்டி, பெலிஸ்தர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க வந்திருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள். அதற்குச் சிம்சோன்: நீங்கள் என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடமாட்டோம் என்று எனக்கு சத்தியம் செய்யுங்கள் என்றான்.
13 And they speak to him, saying, “No, but we certainly bind you, and have given you into their hand, and we certainly do not put you to death”; and they bind him with two thick bands, new ones, and bring him up from the rock.
௧௩அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்கள் உன்னை இறுகக்கட்டி, அவர்களுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போமே அல்லாமல், உன்னைக் கொன்றுபோடமாட்டோம் என்று சொல்லி, இரண்டு புதுக் கயிறுகளாலே அவனைக் கட்டி, கன்மலையிலிருந்து கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
14 He has come to Lehi—and the Philistines have shouted at meeting him—and the Spirit of YHWH prospers over him, and the thick bands which [are] on his arms are as flax which they burn with fire, and his bands are melted from off his hands,
௧௪அவன் லேகிவரைக்கும் வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது, பெலிஸ்தர்கள் அவனுக்கு எதிராக ஆரவாரம் செய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய ஆவி அவன்மேல் பலமாக இறங்கினதால், அவனுடைய புயங்களில் கட்டியிருந்த கயிறுகள் நெருப்புப்பட்ட நூல்போலாகி, அவன் கட்டுகள் அவனுடைய கைகளைவிட்டு அறுந்துபோயின.
15 and he finds a fresh jawbone of a donkey, and puts forth his hand and takes it, and strikes down one thousand men with it.
௧௫உடனே அவன் ஒரு கழுதையின் பச்சைத் தாடை எலும்பைக் கண்டு, தன்னுடைய கையை நீட்டி அதை எடுத்து, அதினாலே 1,000 பேரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
16 And Samson says, “With the jawbone of a donkey, heap on heaps—I have struck down one thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey!”
௧௬அப்பொழுது சிம்சோன்: கழுதையின் தாடை எலும்பினால் குவியல் குவியலாக மடிந்து கிடக்கிறார்கள், கழுதையின் தாடையெலும்பினால் 1,000 பேரைக் கொன்றேன் என்றான்.
17 And it comes to pass, when he finishes speaking, that he casts away the jawbone out of his hand, and calls that place Ramath-Lehi;
௧௭அப்படிச் சொல்லிமுடிந்தபின்பு, தன்னுடைய கையில் இருந்த தாடை எலும்பை எறிந்துவிட்டு, அந்த இடத்திற்கு ராமாத்லேகி என்று பெயரிட்டான்.
18 and he thirsts exceedingly, and calls to YHWH, and says, “You have given this great salvation by the hand of Your servant; and now, I die with thirst, and have fallen into the hand of the uncircumcised.”
௧௮அவன் மிகவும் தாகமடைந்து, யெகோவாவை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: தேவரீர் உமது அடியேன் கையினால் இந்தப் பெரிய இரட்சிப்பைக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்க, இப்பொழுது நான் தாகத்தினால் செத்து, விருந்தசேதனம் பண்ணப்படாதவர்களின் கைகளினால் சாகவேண்டுமோ என்றான்.
19 And God cleaves the hollow place which [is] in Lehi, and waters come out of it, and he drinks, and his spirit comes back, and he revives; therefore [one] has called its name “The fountain of him who is calling,” which [is] in Lehi to this day.
௧௯அப்பொழுது தேவன் லேகியிலுள்ள பள்ளத்தைப் பிளக்கச்செய்தார்; அதிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் ஓடிவந்தது; அவன் குடித்தபோது அவனுடைய உயிர் திரும்ப வந்தது, அவன் பிழைத்தான்; ஆனபடியால் அதற்கு எந்நக்கோரி என்று பெயரிட்டான்; அது இந்த நாள்வரையும் லேகியில் இருக்கிறது.
20 And he judges Israel in the days of the Philistines [for] twenty years.
௨0அவன் பெலிஸ்தர்களின் நாட்களில் இஸ்ரவேலை 20 வருடங்கள் நியாயம் விசாரித்தான்.
