Judges 14
1 And Samson goes down to Timnath, and sees a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines,
Ŝimŝon iris en Timnan, kaj ekvidis en Timna virinon el la filinoj de la Filiŝtoj.
2 and comes up and declares [it] to his father and to his mother, and says, “I have seen a woman in Timnath, of the daughters of the Philistines; and now, take her for me for a wife.”
Kaj li iris kaj sciigis tion al sia patro kaj al sia patrino, kaj diris: Mi vidis en Timna virinon el la filinoj de la Filiŝtoj; nun prenu ŝin al mi kiel edzinon.
3 And his father says to him—also his mother, “Is there no woman among the daughters of your brothers, and among all my people, that you are going to take a woman from the uncircumcised Philistines?” And Samson says to his father, “Take her for me, for she is right in my eyes.”
Kaj lia patro kaj lia patrino diris al li: Ĉu ne troviĝas virino inter la filinoj de viaj fratoj kaj en nia tuta popolo, ke vi iras preni edzinon el la necirkumciditaj Filiŝtoj? Sed Ŝimŝon diris al sia patro: Ŝin prenu por mi, ĉar ŝi plaĉas al mi.
4 And his father and his mother have not known that it [is] from YHWH, that He is seeking a meeting of the Philistines; and the Philistines are ruling over Israel at that time.
Kaj lia patro kaj lia patrino ne sciis, ke tio estas de la Eternulo, ĉar Li serĉis pretekston kontraŭ la Filiŝtoj; en tiu tempo la Filiŝtoj regis super Izrael.
5 And Samson goes down—also his father and his mother, to Timnath, and they come to the vineyards of Timnath, and behold, a lion’s whelp roars at meeting him,
Kaj Ŝimŝon kun sia patro kaj kun sia patrino iris en Timnan; kiam ili venis al la vinberĝardenoj de Timna, juna leono blekegante venis renkonte al li.
6 and the Spirit of YHWH prospers over him, and he tears it as the tearing of a kid, and there is nothing in his hand, and he has not declared to his father and to his mother that which he has done.
Kaj venis sur lin la spirito de la Eternulo, kaj li disŝiris lin, kiel oni disŝiras kapridon, kvankam li nenion havis en sia mano. Kaj li ne diris al siaj gepatroj, kion li faris.
7 And he goes down and speaks to the woman, and she is right in the eyes of Samson;
Kaj li venis kaj parolis kun la virino, kaj ŝi plaĉis al Ŝimŝon.
8 and he turns back after [some] days to take her, and turns aside to see the carcass of the lion, and behold, a swarm of bees [are] in the body of the lion—and honey.
Post kelka tempo li iris denove, por preni ŝin, kaj li devojiĝis, por vidi la kadavron de la leono; kaj jen svarmamaso da abeloj estas en la kadavro de la leono, kaj ankaŭ mielo.
9 And he takes it down on to his hands, and goes on, going and eating; and he goes to his father, and to his mother, and gives to them, and they eat, and he has not declared to them that he took down the honey from the body of the lion.
Kaj li prenis ĝin en siajn manojn kaj iris, manĝante dum la irado; kaj li iris al siaj gepatroj, kaj donis al ili, kaj ili manĝis; sed li ne diris al ili, ke el la kadavro de la leono li prenis la mielon.
10 And his father goes down to the woman, and Samson makes a banquet there, for so the young men does;
Kaj lia patro venis al la virino, kaj Ŝimŝon faris tie festenon, kiel ordinare faras la junuloj.
11 and it comes to pass, when they see him, that they take thirty companions, and they are with him.
Kiam ili ekvidis lin, ili donis al li tridek kompanianojn, ke ili estu kun li.
12 And Samson says to them, “Now let me put forth a riddle to you; if you certainly declare it to me [in] the seven days of the banquet, and have found [it] out, then I have given thirty linen shirts and thirty changes of garments to you;
Kaj Ŝimŝon diris al ili: Mi proponos al vi enigmon; se vi divenos ĝin al mi dum la sep tagoj de la festeno kaj trafos, tiam mi donos al vi tridek ĉemizojn kaj tridek kompletojn da vestoj;
13 and if you are not able to declare [it] to me, then you have given thirty linen shirts and thirty changes of garments to me.” And they say to him, “Put forth your riddle, and we hear it!”
sed se vi ne povas diveni al mi, tiam vi donos al mi tridek ĉemizojn kaj tridek kompletojn da vestoj. Kaj ili diris al li: Proponu vian enigmon, kaj ni aŭskultos.
14 And he says to them: “Out of the eater came forth something to eat, And out of the strong came forth [something] sweet”; and they were not able to declare the riddle [in] three days.
Kaj li diris al ili: El manĝantaĵo devenis manĝataĵo, Kaj el fortaĵo devenis dolĉaĵo. Kaj ili ne povis solvi la enigmon dum tri tagoj.
15 And it comes to pass, on the seventh day, that they say to Samson’s wife, “Entice your husband, that he declare the riddle to us, lest we burn you and the house of your father with fire; have you not called for us [here] to rob us?”
En la sepa tago ili diris al la edzino de Ŝimŝon: Admonu vian edzon, ke li solvu al ni la enigmon; alie ni forbruligos per fajro vin kaj la domon de via patro. Ĉu por senhavigi nin vi invitis nin ĉi tien?
16 And Samson’s wife weeps for it and says, “You have only hated me, and have not loved me; you have put forth the riddle to the sons of my people, but have not declared it to me”; and he says to her, “Behold, I have not declared [it] to my father and to my mother—and I declare [it] to you?”
Tiam la edzino de Ŝimŝon ekploris antaŭ li, kaj diris: Vi nur malamas min, sed ne amas; vi proponis enigmon al la filoj de mia popolo, kaj al mi vi ne diris ĝian solvon. Kaj li diris al ŝi: Jen al miaj gepatroj mi ne diris la solvon, kaj ĉu al vi mi ĝin diru?
17 And she weeps for it the seven days [in] which their banquet has been, and it comes to pass on the seventh day that he declares [it] to her, for she has distressed him; and she declares the riddle to the sons of her people.
Kaj ŝi ploris antaŭ li dum la sep tagoj, kiujn daŭris ĉe ili la festeno; en la sepa tago li diris al ŝi la solvon, ĉar ŝi tre insistis. Kaj ŝi diris la solvon de la enigmo al la filoj de ŝia popolo.
18 And the men of the city say to him on the seventh day, before the sun goes in: “What [is] sweeter than honey? And what [is] stronger than a lion?” And he says to them: “Unless you had plowed with my heifer, You had not found out my riddle.”
Kaj la urbanoj diris al li en la sepa tago, antaŭ la subiro de la suno: Kio estas pli dolĉa ol mielo? kaj kio estas pli forta ol leono? Kaj li diris al ili: Se vi ne plugus per mia bovidino, Vi ne trovus la solvon de mia enigmo.
19 And the Spirit of YHWH prospers over him, and he goes down to Ashkelon, and strikes down thirty of their men, and takes their armor, and gives the changes to those declaring the riddle; and his anger burns, and he goes up to the house of his father;
Kaj venis sur lin la spirito de la Eternulo, kaj li iris en Aŝkelonon kaj mortigis tie tridek homojn kaj prenis iliajn vestojn kaj donis la kompletojn de iliaj vestoj al la solvintoj de la enigmo. Sed ekflamis lia kolero, kaj li foriris en la domon de sia patro.
20 and Samson’s wife becomes his companion’s, who had attended to him.
Kaj la edzino de Ŝimŝon fariĝis edzino de lia festena kompaniulo, kiu kompaniis al li.
