Judges 10
1 And there rises after Abimelech, to save Israel, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, and he is dwelling in Shamir, in the hill-country of Ephraim,
E depois de Abimelech, se levantou, para livrar a Israel, Tola, filho de Puah, filho de Dodo, homem d'Issacar: e habitava em Samir, na montanha d'Ephraim.
2 and he judges Israel [for] twenty-three years, and he dies, and is buried in Shamir.
E julgou a Israel vinte e tres annos: e morreu, e foi sepultado em Samir.
3 And there rises Jair the Gileadite after him, and he judges Israel [for] twenty-two years,
E depois d'elle se levantou Jair, gileadita, e julgou a Israel vinte e dois annos.
4 and he has thirty sons riding on thirty donkey-colts, and they have thirty cities (they call them Havoth-Jair to this day), which [are] in the land of Gilead;
E tinha este trinta filhos, que cavalgavam sobre trinta jumentos; e tinham trinta cidades, a que chamaram Havoth-jair, até ao dia d'hoje; as quaes estão na terra de Gilead.
5 and Jair dies, and is buried in Kamon.
E morreu Jair, e foi sepultado em Camon.
6 And the sons of Israel add to do evil in the eyes of YHWH, and serve the Ba‘alim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsake YHWH, and have not served Him;
Então tornaram os filhos de Israel a fazer o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, e serviram aos baalins, e a Astaroth, e aos deuses da Syria, e aos deuses de Sidon, e aos deuses de Moab, e aos deuses dos filhos d'Ammon, e aos deuses dos philisteos: e deixaram ao Senhor, e não o serviram.
7 and the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He sells them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the sons of Ammon,
E a ira do Senhor se accendeu contra Israel: e vendeu-os em mão dos philisteos, e em mão dos filhos d'Ammon.
8 and they crush and oppress the sons of Israel in that year; [and for] eighteen years—all the sons of Israel [who] are beyond the Jordan, in the land of the Amorite, which [is] in Gilead.
E n'aquelle mesmo anno opprimiram e vexaram aos filhos de Israel: dezoito annos opprimiram a todos os filhos de Israel que estavam d'além do Jordão, na terra dos amorrheos, que está em Gilead.
9 And the sons of Ammon pass over the Jordan to also fight against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, and Israel has great distress.
Até os filhos d'Ammon passaram o Jordão, para pelejar tambem contra Judah, e contra Benjamin, e contra a casa d'Ephraim: de maneira que Israel ficou mui angustiado.
10 And the sons of Israel cry to YHWH, saying, “We have sinned against You, because we have even forsaken our God, and serve the Ba‘alim.”
Então os filhos d'Israel clamaram ao Senhor, dizendo: Contra ti havemos peccado, em que deixámos a nosso Deus, e em que servimos aos baalins.
11 And YHWH says to the sons of Israel, “[Have I] not [saved you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
Porém o Senhor disse aos filhos de Israel: Porventura dos egypcios, e dos amorrheos, e dos filhos d'Ammon, e dos philisteos,
12 And the Zidonians, and Amalek, and Maon have oppressed you, and you cry to Me, and I save you out of their hand;
E dos sidonios, e dos amalekitas, e dos maonitas, que vos opprimiam, quando a mim chamastes, não vos livrei eu então da sua mão?
13 and you have forsaken Me, and serve other gods, therefore I do not add to save you.
Comtudo vós me deixastes a mim, e servistes a outros deuses: pelo que não vos livrarei mais.
14 Go and cry to the gods on which you have fixed; they save you in the time of your tribulation.”
Andae, e clamae aos deuses que escolhestes: que vos livrem elles no tempo do vosso aperto.
15 And the sons of Israel say to YHWH, “We have sinned, do to us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only please deliver us this day.”
Mas os filhos de Israel disseram ao Senhor: Peccámos, faze-nos conforme a tudo quanto te parecer bem aos teus olhos; tão sómente te rogamos que nos livres n'este dia.
16 And they turn aside the gods of the stranger out of their midst, and serve YHWH, and His soul is grieved with the misery of Israel.
E tiraram os deuses alheios do meio de si, e serviram ao Senhor: então se angustiou a sua alma por causa do trabalho d'Israel.
17 And the sons of Ammon are called together, and encamp in Gilead, and the sons of Israel are gathered together, and encamp in Mizpah.
E os filhos d'Ammon se convocaram, e se pozeram em campo em Gilead: e tambem os de Israel se congregaram, e se pozeram em campo em Mispah.
18 And the people—heads of Gilead—say to one another, “Who [is] the man that begins to fight against the sons of Ammon? He is for head to all inhabitants of Gilead.”
Então o povo, os principes de Gilead disseram uns aos outros: Quem será o varão que começará a pelejar contra os filhos d'Ammon? elle será por Cabeça de todos os moradores de Gilead
