Joshua 9
1 And it comes to pass, when all the kings who [are] beyond the Jordan, in the hill-country, and in the low-country, and in every haven of the Great Sea, toward Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, hear—
Ла аузул ачестор лукрурь, тоць ымпэраций каре ерау динкоаче де Йордан, ын мунте ши ын вале ши пе тоатэ коаста Мэрий челей Марь, пынэ лынгэ Либан, хетиций, амориций, канааниций, ферезиций, хевиций ши иебусиций
2 that they gather themselves together to fight with Joshua, and with Israel—[with] one mouth.
с-ау унит ымпреунэ ынтр-о ынцелеӂере ка сэ лупте ымпотрива луй Иосуа ши ымпотрива луй Исраел.
3 And the inhabitants of Gibeon have heard that which Joshua has done to Jericho and to Ai,
Локуиторий дин Габаон, де партя лор, кынд ау аузит че фэкусе Иосуа Иерихонулуй ши четэций Ай,
4 and they work, even they, with subtlety, and go, and feign to be ambassadors, and take old sacks for their donkeys, and wine-bottles, old, and split, and bound up,
ау ынтребуинцат ун виклешуг ши ау порнит ла друм ку меринде пентру кэлэторие. Ау луат ниште сачь векь пе мэгарий лор ши ниште бурдуфурь векь пентру вин, рупте ши кырпите,
5 and sandals, old and patched, on their feet, and old garments on them, and all the bread of their provision is dry—it was crumbs.
яр ын пичоаре пуртау ынкэлцэминте веке ши кырпитэ ши ерау ымбрэкаць ку ниште хайне векь пе ей, яр тоатэ пыня пе каре о авяу пентру хранэ ера ускатэ ши мучегэитэ.
6 And they go to Joshua, to the camp at Gilgal, and say to him, and to the men of Israel, “We have come from a far-off land, and now, make a covenant with us”;
С-ау дус ла Иосуа, ын табэрэ ла Гилгал, ши ле-ау зис луй ши тутурор челор дин Исраел: „Ной веним динтр-о царэ депэртатэ, акум деч фачець легэмынт ку ной.”
7 and the men of Israel say to the Hivite, “It may be [that] you are dwelling in our midst, so how do we make a covenant with you?”
Бэрбаций луй Исраел ау рэспунс хевицилор ачестора: „Поате кэ вой локуиць ын мижлокул ностру, кум сэ фачем ной легэмынт ку вой?”
8 And they say to Joshua, “We [are] your servants.” And Joshua says to them, “Who [are] you? And where do you come from?”
Ей ау зис луй Иосуа: „Ной сунтем робий тэй.” Ши Иосуа ле-а зис: „Чине сунтець вой ши де унде вениць?”
9 And they say to him, “Your servants have come from a very far-off land, for the Name of your God YHWH, for we have heard His fame, and all that He has done in Egypt,
Ей й-ау рэспунс: „Робий тэй вин динтр-о царэ фоарте депэртатэ, пентру файма Домнулуй Думнезеулуй тэу, кэч ам аузит ворбинду-се де Ел, де тот че а фэкут ын Еӂипт
10 and all that He has done to the two kings of the Amorite who [are] beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, who [is] in Ashtaroth.
ши де че а фэкут челор дой ымпэраць ай аморицилор динколо де Йордан, луй Сихон, ымпэратул Хесбонулуй, ши луй Ог, ымпэратул Басанулуй, каре ера ла Аштарот.
11 And our elderly, and all the inhabitants of our land speak to us, saying, Take provision in your hand for the way, and go to meet them, and you have said to them: We [are] your servants, and now, make a covenant with us;
Ши бэтрыний ноштри ши тоць локуиторий дин цара ноастрэ не-ау зис: ‘Луаць ку вой меринде пентру кэлэторие, дучеци-вэ ынаинтя лор ши спунеци-ле: «Ной сунтем робий воштри; акум деч фачець легэмынт ку ной.»’
12 this bread of ours—we provided ourselves with it hot out of our houses, on the day of our coming out to go to you, and now, behold, it is dry, and has been crumbs;
Ятэ пыня ноастрэ: ера калдэ кынд ам луат-о ка меринде де акасэ, ын зиуа кынд ам плекат сэ веним ла вой, ши акум с-а ускат ши с-а мучегэит.
13 and these [are] the wine-bottles which we filled, new, and behold, they have split; and these, our garments and our sandals, have become old, from the exceeding greatness of the way.”
Бурдуфуриле ачестя де вин, кынд ле-ам умплут, ерау ной де тот ши ятэ-ле, с-ау рупт; хайнеле ши ынкэлцэминтя ноастрэ с-ау ынвекит де лунӂимя пря маре а друмулуй.”
14 And the men take of their provision, and have not asked the mouth of YHWH;
Бэрбаций луй Исраел ау луат дин меринделе лор ши н-ау ынтребат пе Домнул.
15 and Joshua makes peace with them, and makes a covenant with them, to keep them alive; and the princes of the congregation swear to them.
Иосуа а фэкут паче ку ей ши а ынкеят ун легэмынт прин каре требуя сэ-й ласе ку вяцэ, ши кэпетенииле адунэрий ле-ау журат лукрул ачеста.
16 And it comes to pass, that at the end of three days after they have made a covenant with them, that they hear that they [are] their neighbors—that they are dwelling in their midst.
Ла трей зиле дупэ ынкееря ачестуй легэмынт, копиий луй Исраел ау афлат кэ ерау вечинь ку ей ши кэ локуяу ын мижлокул лор.
17 And the sons of Israel journey and come to their cities on the third day—and their cities [are] Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjath-Jearim—
Кэч копиий луй Исраел ау плекат ши а трея зи ау ажунс ла четэциле лор; четэциле лор ерау Габаон, Кефира, Беерот ши Кириат-Иеарим.
18 and the sons of Israel have not struck them, for the princes of the congregation have sworn to them by YHWH, God of Israel, and all the congregation murmur against the princes.
Дар ну й-ау бэтут, пентру кэ фрунташий адунэрий ле журасерэ пе Домнул Думнезеул луй Исраел кэ-й вор лэса ку вяцэ. Ши тоатэ адунаря а кыртит ымпотрива кэпетениилор.
19 And all the princes say to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by YHWH, God of Israel; and now, we are not able to come against them;
Тоате кэпетенииле ау зис ынтреӂий адунэрь: „Ле-ам журат пе Домнул Думнезеул луй Исраел, ши акум ну путем сэ не атинӂем де ей.
20 we do this to them, and have kept them alive, and wrath is not on us, because of the oath which we have sworn to them.”
Ятэ че ле вом фаче: ый вом лэса ку вяцэ, ка сэ н-адучем песте ной мыния Домнулуй дин причина журэмынтулуй пе каре ли л-ам фэкут.”
21 And the princes say to them, “They live, and are hewers of wood and drawers of water for all the congregation, as the princes spoke to them.”
„Сэ трэяскэ”, ле-ау зис кэпетенииле. Дар ау фост ынтребуинцаць ла тэят лемне ши ла скос апэ пентру тоатэ адунаря, кум ле спусесерэ кэпетенииле.
22 And Joshua calls for them, and speaks to them, saying, “Why have you deceived us, saying, We are very far from you, yet you [are] dwelling in our midst?
Иосуа й-а кемат ши ле-а ворбит астфел: „Пентру че не-аць ыншелат зикынд: ‘Сунтем фоарте департе де вой’, кынд вой локуиць ын мижлокул ностру?
23 And now you are cursed, and none of you is cut off [from being] a servant, even hewers of wood and drawers of water, for the house of my God.”
Акум сунтець блестемаць ши ну вець ынчета сэ фиць ын робие, сэ тэяць лемне ши сэ скоатець апэ пентру Каса Думнезеулуй меу.”
24 And they answer Joshua and say, “Because it was certainly declared to your servants that your God YHWH commanded His servant Moses to give all the land to you, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; and we fear greatly for ourselves because of you, and we do this thing;
Ей ау рэспунс луй Иосуа ши ау зис: „Робий тэй ау аузит де порунчиле дате де Домнул Думнезеул тэу робулуй Сэу Мойсе, ка сэ вэ дя ын мынэ тоатэ цара ши сэ нимичяскэ динаинтя воастрэ пе тоць локуиторий ей; ши вениря воастрэ а бэгат маре фрикэ ын ной ку привире ла вяца ноастрэ: ятэ де че ам лукрат аша.
25 and now, behold, we [are] in your hand, as [it is] good, and as [it is] right in your eyes to do to us—do.”
Ши акум, ятэ-не ын мыниле тале; фэ ку ной че вей креде кэ есте бине ши дрепт сэ фачь.”
26 And he does to them so, and delivers them from the hand of the sons of Israel, and they have not slain them;
Иосуа ле-а фэкут аша кум хотэрысе; й-а избэвит дин мына копиилор луй Исраел, каре ну й-ау оморыт,
27 and on that day Joshua makes them hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of YHWH, to this day, at the place which He chooses.
дар дин зиуа ачея й-а пус сэ тае лемне ши сэ скоатэ апэ пентру адунаре ши пентру алтарул Домнулуй ын локул пе каре л-ар алеӂе Домнул: чея че фак пынэ ын зиуа де азь.
