Joshua 22

1 Then Joshua calls for the Reubenite, and for the Gadite, and for the half-tribe of Manasseh,

१मग यहोशवाने रऊबेनी, गादी आणि मनश्शेच्या अर्ध्या वंशाला बोलावले;

2 and says to them, “You have kept the whole of that which Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded you, and you listen to my voice, to all that I have commanded you;

२तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “परमेश्वराचा सेवक मोशे याने जे तुम्हाला आज्ञा करून जे सांगितले होते ते सर्वकाही तुम्ही केले आणि जे मी तुम्हाला आज्ञापिले त्या सर्वांविषयी तुम्ही माझी वाणी ऐकली

3 you have not left your brothers these many days to this day, and have kept the charge—the command of your God YHWH.

३मागील सर्व दिवसांमध्ये आणि आजपर्यंत तुम्ही आपल्या भावांना सोडले नाही. परंतु आपला देव परमेश्वर याच्या सूचनांचे आणि आज्ञांचे काटेकोरपणे पालन केले आहे.

4 And now, your God YHWH has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them; and now, turn, and go for yourselves to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses, servant of YHWH, has given to you beyond the Jordan.

४आणि तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने आपल्या त्याने विसावा दिला आहे; तेव्हा तुम्ही आता माघारी फिरा, आणि परमेश्वराचा सेवक मोशेने यार्देनेच्या पलीकडे दिलेला जो तुमचा स्वतःचा प्रदेश त्यामध्ये आपापल्या तंबूत जाऊन राहा.

5 Only, be very watchful to do the command and the Law which Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded you, to love your God YHWH, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him, with all your heart, and with all your soul.”

५तेव्हा परमेश्वराचा सेवक मोशे याने आज्ञा केल्याप्रमाणे त्याच्या आज्ञा आणि जे शास्त्र दिले आहे; त्याचे काटेकोरपणे पालन करण्याविषयी जपा. तुम्ही आपला देव परमेश्वर ह्याच्यावर प्रीती करावी, सर्व मार्गांत त्याचे अनुसरण करावे, त्याच्या आज्ञा पाळाव्या, आणि त्याच्याशी बिलगून रहावे आणि आपल्या संपूर्ण अंतःकरणाने व आपल्या संपूर्ण जिवाने त्याची सेवा करावी म्हणून फार जपा.”

6 And Joshua blesses them, and sends them away, and they go to their tents.

६यहोशवाने त्यांना आशीर्वाद देऊन निरोप दिला, मग ते आपआपल्या तंबूकडे गेले.

7 And to the half-tribe of Manasseh Moses has given, in Bashan, and to its [other] half Joshua has given with their brothers beyond the Jordan westward; and also when Joshua has sent them away to their tents, then he blesses them,

७मनश्शेच्या अर्ध्या वंशाला मोशेने बाशानात वतन दिले होते परंतु त्याच्या दुसऱ्या अर्ध्या वंशाला यहोशवाने त्यांच्या भावांमध्ये पश्चिमेस यार्देनेच्या पश्चिमेला दिले होते; आणखी जेव्हा यहोशवाने त्यांना त्यांच्या तंबूकडे जायला निरोप दिला, आणि त्यांना आशीर्वाद दिला.

8 and speaks to them, saying, “Turn back to your tents with great riches, and with very much livestock, with silver, and with gold, and with bronze, and with iron, and with very much raiment; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brothers.”

८तेव्हा त्याने त्यांना असे सांगितले की, “बहुत द्रव्य व पुष्कळ पशुधन, रुपे आणि सोने, तांबे व लोखंड, आणि पुष्कळ वस्त्रे घेऊन तुम्ही आपल्या तंबूकडे माघारी जा आपल्या भावांबरोबर आपल्या शत्रूंची लूट वाटून घ्या.”

9 And the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, turn back and go from the sons of Israel out of Shiloh, which [is] in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, in which they have possession, according to the command of YHWH, by the hand of Moses;

९मग रऊबेन वंश, व गाद वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश कनानाच्या देशातल्या शिलोहून इस्राएलाच्या इतर वंशजांतून निघून आपला वतनी गिलाद देश, जो मोशेकडून परमेश्वराने सांगितल्यावरून त्यांच्या वतनाचा झाला, त्यामध्ये जाण्यास माघारी चालले.

10 and they come to the districts of the Jordan, which [are] in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, build an altar there by the Jordan—a great altar in appearance.

१०तेव्हा यार्देन नदीच्या पश्चिमेच्या कनानातील गलीलोथ येथे रऊबेनाचा वंश व गादाचा वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश पोहचल्यावर, त्यांनी तेथे यार्देनेजवळ मोठी प्रेक्षणीय अशी वेदी बांधली.

11 And the sons of Israel hear, saying, “Behold, the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, have built the altar at the frontier of the land of Canaan, in the districts of the Jordan, at the passage of the sons of Israel.”

११तेव्हा इस्राएलाच्या इतर लोकांनी असे ऐकले की, पाहा, रऊबेनाचा वंश व गादाचा वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश यानी कनान देशासमोर यार्देनेवरले गलीलोथ येथे, “जेथे इस्राएलाचे लोक उतरून आले होते तेथे एक वेदी बांधली आहे.”

12 And the sons of Israel hear, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel is assembled at Shiloh, to go up against them to war;

१२असे जेव्हा इस्राएल लोकांच्या साऱ्या मंडळीने ऐकले, तेव्हा इस्राएल लोकांचा सर्व समुदाय त्यांच्याविरुद्ध लढावयास शिलो येथे एकत्र जमला.

13 and the sons of Israel send to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh—to the land of Gilead—Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest,

१३त्यानंतर इस्राएल लोकांनी, रऊबेन, गाद आणि मनश्शेच्या अर्ध्या वंशांकडे गिलाद येथे निरोपे पाठविले. त्यांनी एलाजार याजक याचा पुत्र फिनहास यालाही पाठवले.

14 and ten princes with him, one prince—one prince for a house of a father, for all the tribes of Israel, and each of them a head of a house of their fathers, for the thousands of Israel.

१४आणि त्याच्याबरोबर इस्राएलाच्या प्रत्येक वंशातील पूर्वजांच्या घराण्याचा एकएक अधिकारी असे दहा अधिकारी पाठवले; आणि त्यांच्यातील प्रत्येकजण इस्राएलातील आपापल्या वंशाचा प्रमुख होता.

15 And they come to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and speak with them, saying,

१५तेव्हा गिलाद देशात रऊबेन वंश व गाद वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश त्याच्याकडे येऊन त्यांनी येऊन असे सांगितले,

16 “Thus said all the congregation of YHWH: What [is] this trespass which you have trespassed against the God of Israel, to turn back today from after YHWH, by your building an altar for yourselves, for your rebelling today against YHWH?

१६परमेश्वराचा सर्व लोकसमुदाय असे म्हणतो की, तुम्ही इस्राएलाच्या देवाविरुद्ध असे पातक का केले? आज या दिवशी तुम्ही वेदी बांधून, परमेश्वराचे अनुसरण करण्याद्वारे परमेश्वराविरुद्ध बंड केले नाही काय?

17 Is the iniquity of Peor little to us, from which we have not been cleansed until this day—and the plague is in the congregation of YHWH,

१७पौराच्या प्रकरणी जो आमच्याकडून अपराध घडला त्यामुळे परमेश्वराच्या मंडळीवर मरी येऊन गेली, तरी आजवर आम्ही त्या अपराधापासून शुद्ध झालो नाही,

18 that you turn back today from after YHWH? And it has been [that] you rebel against YHWH today, and tomorrow He is angry against all the congregation of Israel.

१८सध्याच्या ह्या दिवसात परमेश्वरास अनुसरण्याचे तुम्ही सोडून देत आहात काय? आज तुम्ही परमेश्वराविरुद्ध बंडाळी केली तर उद्या सर्व इस्राएल मंडळीवर त्याचा क्रोध होईल.

19 And surely, if the land of your possession is unclean, pass over for yourselves to the land of the possession of YHWH, where the Dwelling Place of YHWH has dwelt, and have possession in our midst; and do not rebel against YHWH, and do not rebel against us, by your building an altar for yourselves, besides the altar of our God YHWH.

१९आणि जर तुमच्या वतनाचा देश अशुद्ध असला, तर परमेश्वर वतनाच्या देशात, जेथे परमेश्वराचा निवासमंडप राहत आहे तेथे उतरून या, आणि आमच्यामध्ये वतन करून घ्या, परंतु आमचा देव परमेश्वर याच्या वेदी व्यतिरिक्त तुमच्यासाठी दुसरी वेदी बांधून आमचा देव परमेश्वर याच्याविरुद्ध आणि आमच्याविरुद्ध ही बंड करू नका.

20 Did Achan son of Zerah not commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and there was wrath on all the congregation of Israel? And he alone did not expire in his iniquity.”

२०जेरहाचा पुत्र आखान याने समर्पित वस्तुंविषयी आज्ञेचा भंग केला, आणि इस्राएलाच्या सर्व मंडळीवर कोप झाला नाही काय? आणि तो पुरुष आपल्या अपराधामुळे एकटाच मेला नाही.

21 And the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, answer and speak with the heads of the thousands of Israel:

२१तेव्हा रऊबेन वंश, व गाद वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश यांनी इस्राएलाच्या हजार हजार लोकांवर जे जे अधिकारी होते त्यांनी उत्तर देऊन म्हटले,

22 “The God of gods—YHWH, the God of gods—YHWH, He is knowing, and Israel—he knows, if [we are] in rebellion, and if in trespass against YHWH, do not save us this day!

२२जो समर्थ देव परमेश्वर! जो समर्थ देव परमेश्वर! तो जाणतो; आणि इस्राएल, तोसुद्धा जाणील; हे बंड असल्यास किंवा हे परमेश्वराविरुद्ध उल्लंघन असल्यास तू आज आम्हांला वाचवू नकोस;

23 [If we] are building an altar for ourselves to turn back from after YHWH, and if to cause burnt-offering and present to go up on it, and if to make peace-offerings on it—YHWH Himself requires [it].

२३परमेश्वरास अनुसरण्याचे सोडून देण्यासाठी आम्ही जर ही वेदी बांधली, तिच्यावर होमार्पण, पेयार्पण आणि शांत्यर्पणाचे यज्ञ करण्यासाठी जर बांधली असेल, तर त्याबद्दल परमेश्वर स्वतःचे आमचे पारिपत्य करो.

24 And nevertheless, we have done it from fear of [this] thing, saying, Hereafter your sons speak to our sons, saying, And what have you to [do with] YHWH God of Israel?

२४कदापि नाही, आम्ही अशा भीतीने विचार केला कि कदाचित पुढील काळी तुमचे पुत्र आमच्या पुत्रांना म्हणतील की इस्राएलाचा देव परमेश्वर याच्याशी तुमचा काय संबंध आहे?

25 For YHWH has put a border between us and you, O sons of Reuben, and sons of Gad—Jordan; you have no portion in YHWH—and your sons have caused our sons to cease, not to fear YHWH.

२५हे रऊबेनी व गादी लोकहो, परमेश्वराने यार्देन ही सीमा लावून दिली आहे; तुम्हाला परमेश्वरावर हक्क नाही. अशा प्रकारे तुमचे वंशज आमच्या वंशजांना परमेश्वराचे भय धरण्यापासून परावृत्त करतील.

26 And we say, Now let us prepare to build the altar for ourselves—not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice—

२६यास्तव आम्ही म्हटले की, “चला आपणासाठी एक वेदी बांधू, जी होमार्पणासाठी किंवा यज्ञार्पणासाठी नसेल.”

27 but it [is] a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, to do the service of YHWH before Him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings, and your sons do not say hereafter to our sons, You have no portion in YHWH.

२७तर ती, आमच्या व तुमच्यामध्ये, आणि आमच्यामागे आमच्या पिढ्यांमध्ये हे साक्ष देण्यासाठी व्हावी; अशी की आम्ही परमेश्वरासमोर आपल्या होमार्पणांनी व आपल्या यज्ञार्पणांनी व आपल्या शांत्यर्पणांनी त्याची सेवा करीत जावी; आणि पुढल्या काळी तुमच्या संतानानी आमच्या संतानांना असे म्हणू नये की, “परमेश्वरावर तुमचा काही हक्क नाही.”

28 And we say, And it has been, when they say [so] to us, and to our generations hereafter, that we have said, See the pattern of the altar of YHWH, which our fathers made—not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice—but it [is] a witness between us and you.

२८यास्तव आम्ही म्हटले की, पुढे जेव्हा ते लोक आम्हांला किंवा आमच्या वंशजांना असे म्हणतील तेव्हा आम्ही त्यांना असे सांगू की तुम्ही परमेश्वराच्या वेदीचा नमुना “पाहा; ही आमच्या पूर्वजांनी ती होमबली किंवा यज्ञार्पणासाठी बांधली नाही तर ही आमच्या व तुमच्यामध्ये साक्ष देण्यासाठी म्हणून आहे.”

29 Far be it from us to rebel against YHWH, and to turn back from after YHWH today, to build an altar for burnt-offering, for present, and for sacrifice, apart from the altar of our God YHWH, which [is] before His Dwelling Place.”

२९आमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याला होमार्पण, अन्नार्पण, किंवा यज्ञार्पण करण्यासाठी आमचा देव परमेश्वर याची त्याच्या निवासमंडपाच्यासमोर असलेल्या वेदीखेरीज दुसरी वेदी बांधून आम्ही परमेश्वराविरुद्ध बंड करण्याचे आणि प्रभूला अनुसरण्याचे सोडून देण्याचे आमच्या हातून कदापि न घडो.

30 And Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, and the heads of the thousands of Israel, who [are] with him, hear the words which the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the sons of Manasseh have spoken, and it is good in their eyes.

३०तेव्हा रऊबेन वंश, गाद वंश व मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश ह्यांनी ज्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या, त्या फिनहास याजक व त्याच्याबरोबर जे असलेले अधिकारी म्हणजे इस्राएलाच्या प्रत्येक वंशाचे जे प्रमुख पुरुष होते, तेव्हा त्यांना बरे वाटले.

31 And Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest says to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Manasseh, “Today we have known that YHWH [is] in our midst, because you have not committed this trespass against YHWH—then you have delivered the sons of Israel out of the hand of YHWH.”

३१यास्तव एलाजार याजक याचा पुत्र फिनहास ह्याने रऊबेन वंश व गाद वंश, व मनश्शे वंश यांना सांगितले, “आज आम्हांला कळले की, परमेश्वर आमच्यामध्ये आहे; कारण की तुम्ही परमेश्वराचा काही गुन्हा केला नाही; येणेकरून तुम्ही इस्राएल लोकांस परमेश्वराच्या हातातून सोडवले आहे.”

32 And Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, turn back from the sons of Reuben, and from the sons of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the sons of Israel, and bring them back word;

३२मग रऊबेन वंश व गाद वंश यांपासून गिलाद देशातून एलाजार याजक याचा पुत्र फिनहास व ते अधिकारी यानी कनान देशात इस्राएलाच्या लोकांजवळ माघारे येऊन त्यांना वर्तमान सांगितले.

33 and the thing is good in the eyes of the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel bless God, and have not spoken to go up against them to war, to destroy the land which the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, are dwelling in.

३३तेव्हा इस्राएल लोकांचे समाधान होऊन त्यांनी देवाचा धन्यवाद केला, आणि ज्या देशात रऊबेन वंश व गाद वंश राहिले होते, तेव्हा रऊबेन व गाद यांच्याविरुद्ध लढाई करून त्यांचा नाश करावा असे ते कधीच म्हणाले नाही.

34 And the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad proclaim concerning the altar, that, “[It is] a witness between us that YHWH [is] God.”

३४तेव्हा रऊबेन व गाद यानी त्या वेदीला “एद” असे नाव दिले; कारण, “परमेश्वर हाच देव आहे,” याची ती आमच्यामध्ये “साक्ष” असेल.
